Chapter 41

Naruto had been instructed to take a shot everyday for a month prior to the procedure. Sasuke ended up giving those shots to Naruto who was very squrirmish about giving himself a shot. It was unnerving to say the least. Jabbing someone you love with a needle. But necessary. Naruto needed it to carry the pregnancy successfully. Side affects caused Naurot to become hyper sensitive and he stopped growing facial hair on parts of his face. Not that it mattered since neither of them sported moustaches or beards. Today was the day though. Naruto was going to become pregnant. Their test tube baby was done. It would've been immensely easier to use a surrogate, but no, a certain blonde who was knocked out on the bed wanted to do this the hard way.

Tsunade came in with some equipment and a nurse. The nurse used an ultra sound to check Naruto's abdomen.

"Has he done the shot every day?" Tsunade asked.

"With much complaint, yes." Sasuke informed before standing up to exit the room.

"You can stay. We aren't going to cut him open very much. It's not very invasive." Tsunade said while the nurse cleaned the are they were working with and Tsunade put gloves on.

Sasuke watched in horror, although you wouldn't be able to tell since he had frozen his facial expressions for the time being. A small incision was made on one side of Naruto's abdomen and some sort of material with tubing was slid inside the incision. Now, Sasuke face actually began to show signs of being horrified. A piece of the bag like thing remained on the outside. Sasuke noticed on closer inspection that it was designed for a needle to be shoved through... Well, his kid had to wind up in there somehow.

A second nurse came in carefully holding a tray and walked over to Tsunade with it. Tsunade picked up a needle filled with fluid inside of it and inserted it in the thing that was now hanging out of Naruto's abdomen. A second much smaller needle was lifted and Tsunade paused looking over at Sasuke.

"You can rub it in Naruto's face that you saw your baby first." before injecting the content of that needle into Naruto's "fake uterus".

Sasuke looked less horrified and more amused now. They sealed everthing up and exited the room letting Naruto rest. Sasuke sat down next to his beloved and grasped his hand careful not to touch the IV sticking out of it. He called his in-laws and his mother to quickly inform them everything was fine and Naruto would wake up momentarily. Hiruzen was spending the day with Hinata and Tenten, since they'd begged for the oppoutunity to watch Hiruzen with their kid to see if two would be ideal for them. At least they were being smart about it and not diving head first into it.

Sasuke heard something unintelligable groaning and mumbling coming from Naruto and squeezed his hand letting him know he was right there.

"Teme..." Naruto said opening his eyes looking at Sasuke.

"Congratulations on becoming pregnant." Sasuke said giving Naruto a quick peck on the lips.

"Hmm. Gotta wait and see if baby connects to the wall... and I don't miscarry or anything." Naruto said with a frown.

"All things women have dealt with for centuries. We can try again if it doesn't work out." Sasuke said reassuringly.

"Did you get to watch."

"Yes."

"Was it beautiful?" Naruto asked sarcastically.

"It was disgusting. But I did get to see our tube baby which was in itself kind of cool." Sasuke smirked.

"No fair! Now the baby will like you more!" Naruto complained.

"I doubt it. Even Hiruzen likes you more now and You weren't there until he was almost one year old."

"True. I'm the dark horse here."

"Hm." Sasuke said before cupping his husbands face and kissing his forehead. "Get some rest."

First Tri-mester

Naruto felt akin to a zombie. He realized that his insane amount of energy was needed because any normal human being wouldn't have any. He injected a a needle into his "uterus" daily and took a lot of other medications. As well as a shot for himself. He had to keep a daily log of everything he ate, did and felt. Weekly check-ups were mandatory. It was extremely stressful, because he basically puked up anything he ate and sleeping wasn't restful. Sasuke was getting very busy with work, and Naruto was doing his best to help from home while watching Hiruzen, dealing with the dogs, the cat and the changes he was dealing with.

Naruto also noticed Sasuke came home in a bad mood usually. Sasuke brushed it off normally but Naruto found out from Ino, people basically bombarded him with questions all day. Naruto suspected people either got so baby crazy they didn't realize who they were annoying or didn't care. But one thing was certain, Sasuke could afford people to clean the blood stains out of the floor once he murdered them all.

Sasuke strolled through the door and immeditaly greeted Hiruzen giving the little boy a kiss on top of the head, walked over to Naruto and gave him a kiss and then to Naruto's delight, kissed very lightly where the baby was.

"I love when you do that." Naruto said with a cheesy smile.

"It seems rude to ignore the baby after all." Sasuke said before making himself comfortable on the couch only to have two hyper dogs jump up there with him. " I guess the other big babies want Daddy to say hello to them too. Can't ignore the middle children afterall." Naruto said with a giggle watching Sasuke shake his head, but petting them anyway.

"How was work?" Naruto asked casually.

"Hmm. Kiba hasn't called you yet?"

"I'm going to call Kiba now." Naruto said before getting up and walking away seeing a huge grin on Sasuke's face and he left the room.

He pushed on Kiba's named and it started to ring.

"Duuuuuuuudddddddddddeeeeeeee you will not believe what happened!" Kiba started.

"Tell me! "Naruto said with a smile.

"So like, everyday. all the women ask him how its going, if he'd like to go out to lunch and talk about anything and if you guys know what your having and EVERYDAY Sasuke declines and bascially tells them to shut up, leave him alone and stop asking about his personal life. No one ever listens." Kiba started.

"Yeah Ino told me something like that was happening."

"Sasuke took a page out of the Uzumaki 'Fuck it" book."

"Oh no..." Naruto said looking out owards the living room where Sasuke was.

"Your husband got up on top of a desk and basically informed everyone at the top of his lungs to mind their own business, never ever speak to him again unless its work related and the next person to cross the personal boundary line will be fired immediately on the spot. Then he hopped down and went into his office. Dead silence bro. Dead silence. It was hysterical!" Kiba began roaring with laughter.

"It was bound to happen. Sasuke was bound to snap sooner or later." Naruto said laughing.

"Alright, hope you and the spawn are doing good, Say Hi to the hubby. Driving home and I don't want a ticket dude."

"Alright, peace Kiba." Naruto said hanging up.

Naruto grabbed the bag of grapes and went back into the living room snickering at Sasuke who was now watching T.V. wth a serene look on his face.

"If you were under that much stress Sasuke why didn't you just ask for a blowjob?"

"Cause then I'd want to fuck you in the ass and you aren't cleared for strenuous activity." Sasuke said quietly.

"Self Contro Uchiha. Self Control."

"No such thing with you. However the masterbation helped put off the events that occured today."

"You've been masterbating? When"

"Shower, every morning."

"Bastard..." Naruto said frowning.

"Your too busy snoring. On more than one occasion I considered shoving my dick in your mouth cause you snore way to loud. But I know you are exhausted, I see it clear as day."

"Your exhausted too. Thats totally apparent." Naruto said looking at his husband with a conerned look.

"Work isn't as fun without you." Sasuke said with a frown.

"I could make it fun..." Naruto said with a mischevious grin.

"No. I will not check my phone at work if its from you if you start sending me dick pictures. I need to focus so I can get ahead and take time off once the baby is born. I waited until the last minutes with Hiruzen and wasn't even in charge then. I regret it because it stressed me out way too much. This time, I want bringing home our son or daughter to be smooth."

"This time you will have me here though."

"I know. And that will make things much better." Sasuke finished before getting up and walking over to the kitchen to grab a beer and go into their room. Didn't take long before the vague sound of water running reached Naruto's ears.

He missed sex with Sasuke, but luckily their kept intimate by cuddling a lot. He was also too tired to put out which was a crappy thought in itself. But, after baby was home, they'd make up for it. Naruto hadn't missed Sasuke's apparent lack of excitement, but added it up to Sasuke being moody as fuck... for the last few months. Which is why he decided to call Kisame, because Itachi would in a roundabout way, inform Sasuke that Naruto had been checking up on his well-being.

So he called.

"Sup Blondie!" Kisame said hearingthe t.v. in the background informing Naruto that his niece was being babysat by electronics.

"I'll cut straight to the point- do you know why my husband seems moody?" Naruto asked.

"You mean your emotionally retarded husband right?"

"Yes. That one." Naruto finished. If Itachi knew, he definitely told Kisame. The only secrets Itachi kept were his own apparently.

"Well, I'm sure he constantly worries about you and the freak medical procedure you elected to do..."

Naruto nodded his head. His bastard was a very much worried but trying not to rub off that way. But the fact that the fruits and vegetables were always cut and put into portion perfect servings was an indicator that Sasuke worried that Naruto may eat too much or too little.

"... not to mention he's having to change Hiruzen's education plan to accodomate the move and having to create one for your new addition..."

Seriously, that shouldn't be stressful.

"... worrying about the baby in general since even though you and your doctor can do everything right, something can go wrong and that is probably giving Sasuke anxiety in itself..."

"Plus, the bloody fucking disaster thats been going on with our company..."

"What disaster?" Naruto cut in-but was ignored.

"... and finally he's worried about his fathers health since old-man Fugaku has been visiting the hospital more. Plus countless other things. Like his mother telling him not to worry or her begging Sasuke to let her come stay with you for a bit once the baby is born and her cramming everything possible about pregnancy into his head conviently forgetting he has a toddler while planning a gender reveal party -which the two of you haven't decided if you want to know- and a baby shower. And finally the welcoming party once the baby is born. None of which he did with Hiruzen. But this is all based on sheer assumption." Kisame finished.

"How has he not exploded..." Naruto breathed out.

"He's an Uchiha. They cry in the shower like normal people."

"That's not what he said he was doing in the shower earlier..."

"Did not need nor want to know that Blondie."

"Whats going on with the company?" Naruto asked again.

"A few of the companies are being shut down sothey are taking a hit financially. Nothing that should affect our living situations, but it caused quite an uproar. People getting transfered and moved, a few people have filed lawsuits and just the fact that they lost a few contracts is stressful enough. Nothing to worry about. Sasuke and Itachi handled most of it."

Naruto felt a pang of guilt.

"What's going on with their dad?"

"Mikoto and Fugaku won't tell a soul. Which is causing paranoia amongst our husbands.

"I didn't realize.."

"Naruto, don't worry about it. Sasuke is excited for the baby. Watch, go ask him about what he thinks you guys should do for the baby room. I promise you he will have shit picked out for it if he hasn't already bought it. Hes probably just waiting on a gender to pick out the clothes."

"I banned him from buying clothes for this baby." Naruto interjected.

"Doesn't mean he isn't buying them. You can't tell him he can't shop. That's like telling the damn sun it's not allowed to shine."

"True..." Naruto pulled a face before hearing the water shut off. "Gotta go!" Naruto hung up.

Naruto shuffled his way upstairs and checked his husband out wrapped up in nothing but a towel.

"Hello handsome." Naruto smirked and looked him up and down.

"Hello messy." Sasuke gave him a pointed look. So Naruto left his dirty socks on the floor big deal.

"I was wondering what ideas you had for the nursery." Naruto asked with raised eyebrows.

"Well, we would be getting a bassinet for in here until he or she is sleeping a bit more soundly through the night, but past that I'm thinking more of a gender neutral design. We have enough room in the house for toys and crazy stuff to go in another room. ButI'd like to make sure there's plenty of lighting and good air circulation. I'm not sure rich colors would be a good idea, but maybe white and another light color to be the scheme..."

Naruto just listened to Sasuke go on for a few minutes before giving up all hope trying to put the room together in his head. At least the room would look nice.

"Do you want to know the gender?"

"Yes." Sasuke answered while slipping on some boxers just as Hiruzen came bolting in.

"Why?"

"Because my mother will call us both everyday until we give her the gender. Plus it'd make buying stuff easier." Sasuke said flopping down on top on the bed and Hiruzen laid down next to him mimicking the way Sasuke was laying.

"Have you bought stuff yet?"

"..."

"Sasuke Uchiha have you started buying stuff?"

"Nothing major."

"Where is you secret stash? If you don't tell me I swear I will deactivate your credit cards."

Sasuke glanced over at Naruto who looked dead serious.

"Fine." Sasuke got up and walked out of the room and down the hall into a room that was mostly empty. Sasuke opened the closet and in there were packs of Diapers, wipes and clothes.

"We don't even know what we are having!" Naruto said looking at the stuff.

"It's all gender neutral, hypoallergenic and stylish." Sasuke said half heartedly defending himself.

"You have a shopping problem teme." Naruto said seriously.

"If you think I'm bad wait till my mother knows what we are having. We won't need a damn baby shower." Sasuke finished with a serious look. He grabbed one of the bags and pulled out a onesie and held it up for Naruto to see.

"I love my Daddies" was printed on it.

Sasuke gently grasped Naruto around the waist and rested his head on Naruto's shoulder while Naruto blamed the tears on his pregnancy hormones.

"Teme, I know you are stressed out, so please, communicate with me ok?" Naruto spoke and held his husbands hand and he got a slight squeeze as the response.
