Chapter Forty-Eight
"How is she?"
"She's ok. She woke a while ago with a headache so they gave her some pain medication."
Arizona heard the whispered voices of her fiance and she could swear her mother as she began to wake from her drug-induced sleep. Her head was still sore and her chest was on fire where the seat belt had held her in place but it was still dull compared to how it felt hours ago when she had woken Callie with her restlessness. Her throat was dry and it hurt to swallow as she tried to get her voice to cooperate.
"Calliope?" Arizona asked, her eyes fluttering open and then shutting quickly at the light streaming in from the hall.
"Hey honey, I'm right here. Your mom and dad just arrived."
"Mom?" Arizona asked, her eyes now fully open, despite the pain the light was causing. "Dad?"
"We're here, squirt." Daniel said, approaching his daughter's bedside and placing an arm around Barbara's shoulders.
"What are you doing here?"
"Teddy called and told us about the accident. You mother insisted we get on the next flight. I thought that was the best idea so here we are." Daniel explained with a smile.
"They're going to sit with you for a while. I have to go into surgery to fix Lexie's leg." Callie said, sitting on the bed on the opposite side and brushing hair out of Arizona's face as she spoke.
"Promise you won't be too long?"
"I promise I will fix Lexie's leg and come straight back here. If Amelia clears you, we can break you out of here and get you home when I get back."
"Will you stay with us?" Arizona asked, turning to her parents.
"Of course we will, Zozo." Barbara said.
"Ok babe, I'll be back. Don't let her out of this bed until Amelia has cleared her." Callie said to her future in-laws.
"Don't you worry, Callie, we know how difficult of a patient Arizona is." Daniel replied with a joking smile.
"Hey." Arizona said, feigning hurt.
"Be back as soon as I can. Love you." Callie said, kissing the blonde's head.
"Love you too. Go be a rockstar so we can go home."
Callie's surgery lasted a few hours. She easily fixed Lexie's leg but made sure to take her time. The young resident would make a full recovery but it would be a slow process of healing and physical therapy. It would be months before she would get back into surgery. Callie knew though that Arizona was an excellent teacher and Lexie an excellent student, she had no doubt the resident would keep up. She scrubbed out quickly, checked to make sure Lexie was comfortable in recovery, and set out to find Amelia to see if she could take her fiance home yet.
"There you are." Amelia said, a giant smile on her face as she watched Callie step off the elevator.
"I was just coming to find you."
"Arizona passed all her neuro exams, her new scans are clean, and her memory and vocabulary are intact. She has quite the vocabulary this morning in fact. I have half a mind not to release her just to teach her a lesson but that would be more punishment for me. She does have a concussion so no screens, no telephone, no bright lights, no loud noises for at least another forty eight hours. No activity that could lead to another head injury for another few weeks. I will see her on Monday morning and reassess the situation for work, until then, no work for at least the next five days per the Chief's orders."
"Oh boy, she's going to love that." Callie said.
"Yea well, she's your problem now. She can officially be discharged into your care."
"Thank you for everything, Amelia."
"Oh, don't thank me yet. She's going to drive you nuts. You will wish I hadn't discharged her so quickly within eight hours, I guarantee it." Amelia laughed, handing Callie the paperwork to sign.
"Hey babe, I heard you're ready to get out of here." Callie said, entering Arizona's room.
"More than ready. How is Lexie?" Arizona asked.
"She's doing well. She'll be off her feet for a while but it will be ok, she's smart and she has a great teacher plus Mark and I to keep her up to date. I'm keeping her through the weekend at least. Femur fractures are nasty and she's going to need pain medication for a few days."
"Did Amelia tell you I get to go home?"
"She did, with a few conditions." Callie said with a smile.
"Well, as soon as Daniel gets back with her clothes, we will get both of you out of here." Barbara said from the chair beside Arizona's bed.
"Mom, I know you and dad came together for Teddy and me but what's going on? How long has dad been staying in a hotel?" Arizona asked.
"Since the day after I got back from Barcelona. We talked and we are working things out. He came home for good yesterday before we left for dinner at Tim and Sara's but then we got the call from Teddy."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to upset you, any of you. Your father and I have been married for thirty-five years. He needed some space and I wanted to give it to him, no matter how hard that was. You two are a lot alike that way. I was hoping after some space he would be ready to talk and we would work things out before we ever had to tell you." Barbara said, picking up Arizona's hand and playing with her fingers.
"How is Tim doing? Is he so excited about having a boy?" Callie asked, wanting to change the subject for the time being. She knew Arizona needed to talk with her parents and deserved to get her questions answered but she also wanted to keep her from getting too worked up.
"Oh he's beyond excited. He says he didn't care if it was a boy or a girl but I know he really wanted a boy first. He loved Arizona so much when they were little, I think he's hoping for his son to be a big brother to a little sister some day." Barbara said with a smile.
"Well if Callie has her way, we're going to have five kids." Arizona said, rolling her eyes playfully at Callie.
"Five? I didn't know you were even considering one."
"Don't get too excited yet, mom. We've only talked about it recently but when the time is right, Callie and I will have kids."
"Five of them." Callie teased.
"I could live with that." Barbara agreed.
"Good then four of them can live with you." Arizona replied back with a smile.
"I heard someone is ready to get sprung outta here." Daniel said, entering the room to find the three women smiling and laughing.
"Did you get me clothes so I don't have to walk out of here with my backside exposed?" Arizona asked with a cheeky smile.
"You know I did. I looked all over for an orange jumpsuit to make breaking you out of here look more official but all I could find was an orange University of Miami hoodie." Daniel said, handing the sweater to Arizona.
"This is actually Callie's, dad but it's perfect because I love wearing her clothes anyway." Arizona smiled.
"What if they decided not to release her?" Callie asked.
"Then I was breaking her out of here. We already made a deal, didn't we squirt?" Daniel said, winking at Arizona.
"Come on, let's go check on Teddy while Arizona gets dressed." Barbara said.
"Is Teddy coming to our house?" Callie asked.
"Henry is working and though Teddy insists she is fine, I have made her promise to come stay at the house with us tonight. Is that ok?" Barbara asked.
"Yes, of course. Should we wait for you?"
"No, you two go ahead. We will make sure Teddy is all set to leave and meet you at your house. Daniel is going to take Teddy to the garage where they towed Teddy's car to tomorrow. It sounds like it's totaled."
"But our girls are ok and the car is replaceable." Daniel said, hugging his wife to his side tightly. Barbara smiled and nodded before she let Daniel lead her from the room.
"Do you need help getting dressed, babe?"
"Not really but I would never turn down help from you."
"Someone is feeling better." Callie said as she handed Arizona the clothes her dad had packed for her.
"It's a good thing my dad never picked out my clothes when I was little, I would have really been a target on the playground." Arizona laughed as she pulled out her mismatched clothing to put on.
"At least it will be warm and comfortable. Besides, I bet you were the cutest little thing and kids were just mean because they were jealous of you."
"Hmmm, you only say that because you love me."
"I do. Now, let's get that cute little butt of yours dressed so we can go home." Callie said, placing a kiss on Arizona's nose.
Callie and Arizona barely had time to remove their coats and shoes when the door opened again and Teddy walked in with Barbara and Daniel. Arizona hugged Teddy tightly, she had been so worried that she had hurt her friends in the accident. It took less than a minute before Callie and Barbara shooed the two of them into the living room to sit. Arizona suggested a movie but Callie vetoed the idea, stating that Arizona was off of screens for forty-eight hours.
"Callie if I can't watch sleazy tv then what am I supposed to do?" Arizona whined with a pout.
"There's some magazines, I left my sudoku out for you, we have board games…" Callie replied as she headed to the kitchen to pull out something for dinner.
"Well I don't have a concussion, how come I'm being punished?" Teddy asked.
"You two are worse than children. No television, for either of you. Teddy you have stitches in your forehead so you clearly hit your head which means no tv for you either." Barbara said.
"I brought yahtzee." Daniel said, pulling his chair closer to the coffee table.
"Only if there's not going to be any yelling or throwing things." Callie said, pointing her finger at her fiance.
"Scouts honor." Arizona said with an eye roll.
The five of them spent a quiet afternoon catching up. They talked, played board games, and lounged lazily by the fire while Daniel and Barbara told them stories about Arizona, Tim, and several of Teddy when they were young. Callie and Barbara made dinner together while Daniel fixed a few things around the house and Arizona and Teddy napped at the insistence of Callie and Barbara.
Not wanting to be coddled, Arizona went outside to sit on the back deck while her father nailed down a few loose boards. She had woken from her nap before Teddy and Callie and Barbara had still been in the kitchen talking while they cooked something that smelled delicious. Arizona sat in the cold with a blanket around her just watching her dad work for a few minutes before he noticed her presence.
"Hey squirt, how was your nap?"
"Good, I actually feel a lot better but don't tell mom and Callie."
"It will be our secret." Daniel said as he made a motion as if he were zipping his lips.
"Dad, are you and mom going to be ok?"
"I think so."
"Are you still mad?"
"I was never mad, kiddo. I was hurt, confused, upset, but not mad. Your mom and I, we've been married for thirty-five years. I'm not about to throw that all away for one mistake. I just needed your mom to know how I felt and that it was serious, I was serious. And I also needed some space." Daniel replied thoughtfully. He sat down next to Arizona and squeezed her knee before he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her against him, kissing the top of her head.
"Are you ok?"
"Yea, yea I'm good, kiddo, don't you worry about me. I moved out of the hotel yesterday. Your mom and I talked, everything is going to be just fine." Daniel assured her. They both turned as the door opened and Callie appeared.
"Hey, I went to get you for dinner and you weren't in our room. Dinner is ready." Callie said.
"Whatever you two are cooking up, it smells amazing, Callie." Daniel said, standing up.
"Calliope is an amazing cook, dad."
"Well, I should go wash up then." Daniel said. He patted Callie's shoulder as he passed her and entered the house.
"I was expecting you to be in bed."
"I'm sorry, honey. I woke up and you and my mom were still cooking, Teddy was sleeping, and I just wanted some fresh air. I found my dad and got a chance to talk to him alone. I haven't had a chance to since we got back from Spain."
"What did he have to say?"
"He said he just needed some space but he wasn't throwing away thirty-five years of marriage and everything would be ok." Arizona replied.
"That sounds positive."
"Yea, I'm glad they're ok. Seeing him in that hotel room really threw me."
"I know it did, honey." Callie said. She pulled Arizona up from the chair and wrapped her arms around her for a moment.
"What did you make for dinner? It smells amazing."
"We made a few things so we could just warm up dishes over the weekend. We made shrimp and chicken enchiladas for tonight but we also made chicken and dumplings and chili for the weekend."
"Oh, I love your enchiladas, let's go eat."
"As soon as I get a kiss." Callie said, holding Arizona tighter.
"Oh, I suppose I can pay that price." Arizona teased, placing a chaste but passionate kiss on Callie's lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Calliope. And I really really love your enchiladas. Come on, I had hospital food for breakfast." Arizona said, tugging the laughing brunette into the house.

"Callie, Callie, wake up." Arizona whispered, shaking her fiance vigorously.
"Ughh sleeping." Callie replied, her words barely discernible as her eyebrows creased together and she fought to stay asleep.
"Calliope, wake up, I heard something. I think someone is in the house." Arizona whispered but her words were firmer and she was more persistent.
"It's just house noises, baby. Go back to sleep." Callie said, rolling over and wrapping her arms around the blonde.
"No, Callie, I heard something." Arizona argued. The couple listened for a few minutes but they heard nothing but silence.
"See, it was just the house creaking honey. Go back to sleep." Callie said, laying her head back down. Arizona reluctantly laid back down beside her but her eyes stayed open and firmly on the door. She felt Callie relaxing against her when she heard a small bang.
"Did you hear it that time?"
"Yea, babe, I heard it." Callie said, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed and reaching for her robe on the back of the bathroom door. She made her way to the closet and grabbed the baseball bat she kept there just in case.
"Where are you going?" Arizona whispered, following Callie and grabbing her own robe.
"I'm going to go see what the noise was, stay here."
"No way, I'm coming with you."
"Do you want to get a razor first?" Callie teased.
"You're not funny, Calliope."
"Sorry babe, I couldn't resist." Callie said, kissing the tip of Arizona's nose but they both jumped and Arizona yelped as they heard a distant steady banging.
Arizona clung to the back of Callie's robe as the couple crept down the hallway and they both jumped as the upstairs guest room door flew open and Teddy stepped into the hall with a large flashlight held in her hand and raised above her head. Arizona buried her face in Callie's back and Callie clutched her chest.
"Jesus Teddy, you scared me." Callie whispered.
"Do you guys hear that noise?" Teddy asked.
"Why else would we be walking around the house with a baseball bat, Theodora?"
"Come on." Callie said, continuing to the stairs as the noise continued. The banging seemed to get louder as they entered the first floor.
"Let me in front, I was in the army, I'm our best chance of fighting off an intruder." Teddy said, squeezing in front of Callie.
"I don't want to be in the back." Arizona protested but Callie pulled her by the hand and the couple followed with Teddy as she led with her metal flashlight creeping down the hall to the backdoor where the noise was growing louder. The door to Barbara and Daniel's guest room was closed and it seemed like the noise wasn't disturbing them. Arizona found it slightly odd since her father was a lighter sleeper than herself, most likely from all of his time in the marines. Teddy turned the handle on the back door and flipped the light to the patio at the same time. The three women peaked around the corner as the banging noise got louder and was much clearer.
"Ahh, my eyes!" Teddy yelped as realization hit with what she was seeing.
"What? Teddy?" Callie asked, thinking the surgeon had been injured but as her eyes fell upon the sight Teddy had happened upon, her cheeks reddened and she turned to stop Arizona from coming through the door but it was too late. The petite blonde busted her way through the arms of the other two women and halted at the sight.
"Oh God! Mom! Dad!"
"Oh my God, what are you girls doing up?" Barbara shrieked, reaching for a towel to wrap around her naked upper body.
"Arizona heard a noise." Callie said, looking anywhere but at her hot tub.
"Ugh, we're going to have to drain and sanitize the hot tub." Arizona groaned into Callie's chest. At that the Latina lost it and the laughter erupted from her chest, quickly followed by both Teddy and Arizona. Catching Daniel and Barbara in the act of making up when they had thought there was an intruder was just too hilarious at the moment to contain the laughter.
"Come on, let's let them finish." Teddy said, leading the other two back into the house.
"Oh gross, Teddy." Arizona whined as she realized what Teddy was referring to which led to a second bout of laughter.
After a few minutes of chatter with Teddy in the hallway, Arizona and Callie made their way back to their room but try as she might, Arizona could not fall back to sleep. She was beyond happy that her parents seemed to be making up but she had not wanted to witness it that way. She hadn't seen more than her mom's bare shoulders but just knowing what they were doing and had done in their hot tub was more than enough to freak her out.
"You're thinking too hard and it's keeping me awake." Callie whined.
"I can't help it, my parents are having S..E..X.., Callie."
"Why are you spelling it?"
"Because I just can't say it. It's too gross."
"Arizona, how do you think that you and Tim got here?"
"I'm happy to think the stork brought us."
"Is that what you're going to tell our kids?" Callie asked with a teasing smile.
"It is actually."
"We cannot tell them that." Callie argued.
"What else are we going to tell them? We ordered sperm online and used a turkey baster to make you? I like the stork idea better."
"Hmmm, good point. We will have to come up with something closer to the truth without being that graphic."
"Well then that's your job because if they ask me, I'm telling them the stork dropped them off at the zoo for us." Arizona said, crossing her arms over her chest defiantly with a cute pout on her lip.
"Are we fighting about hypothetical children we haven't even had yet?" Callie asked as she stared down at the adorable stubbornness of the blonde.
"It appears so."
"How about we kiss and make up now?" Callie asked, her hand sliding under a loose tank top to rub the flat skin of Arizona's abdomen. Arizona slapped her hand away, effectively halting her movements.
"Oh no Calliope. Not after what we witnessed tonight and if you ever want to get laid in that hot tub again, we are having that thing drained and sanitized."
"Arizona there is chlorine in there, I'll add more tomorrow, it will kill anything in that hot tub."
"Umm no. I mean it, not going in that hot tub again unless it is drained and scrubbed."
"Fine, I'll call the pool guy Monday." Callie caved with a slight huff but a smile on her face. She couldn't help it, Arizona was just adorable and though she would have chosen not to witness the reconciliation of Daniel and Barbara, she was seriously happy that they were working things out.
"Damn right you will." Arizona huffed before rolling over with her back to Callie but a moment later she reached behind her and pulled Callie's arm around her, placing Callie's hand between her breasts. She kissed Callie's hand and scooted her body back against Callie's. The brunette smiled and placed a kiss on a pale shoulder before she settled down in her place as the big spoon and closed her eyes.

Barbara and Daniel stayed through the weekend along with Teddy. Daniel had taken Teddy to assess the damage on her car but it had been totaled and they had both returned looking pale at the sight of the demolished vehicle. The older Robbins left Monday afternoon once Callie returned home from surgeries with promises of a longer visit soon. Callie had been honestly sad to see them go though she knew Arizona was overwhelmed with both her mother and Callie trying to coddle her. Callie's schedule was light with the up and coming conference. Her research was going to bring a lot of attention to Seattle Grace so the Chief wanted her to be able to focus on getting her presentation together and utilizing any resources she needed in preparation for the conference that she and Owen would be attending. The light schedule meant she could spend more time working from home while Arizona was off of work recovering.
On Wednesday the couple walked in to work together hand in hand and went straight to the neuro unit on the fifth floor for Arizona's check up with Amelia. Callie insisted that she wasn't going to be cleared to drive or come back to work yet but Arizona felt fine and was confident she would be cleared. Aside from the stitches that Mark was going to remove the next day and the lingering yellow bruise over her left eye, you wouldn't know she had recently been in a car accident. To Callie's dismay, Amelia cleared Arizona for work doing consultations and assisting in surgeries for the rest of the week. She would return to full duty the following Monday pending no new symptoms. They walked out of Amelia's office and headed to the elevators but Arizona could tell that Callie was upset.
"Calliope, what's wrong?" Arizona asked, pulling the Latina into the empty stairwell.
"I'm just worried. That accident shook me, it could have been so much worse and you have been pushing yourself so hard lately. I just think you need more time to recover. I'm going to be worried about you which is going to make me less focused on my research."
"Listen, Amelia wouldn't have cleared me if I wasn't ready to go back and I wouldn't put children's lives in danger by coming back before I am ready. The accident shook me too, honey. I thought you were in an elevator that had fallen two floors and were trapped, I couldn't breathe."
"But I'm ok, I wasn't in the elevator."
"I know that now."
"You can't keep going like this, Arizona."
"I know. Alex is back so my load will be lightened. Lexie is out for a few months but she is still learning so I can use another resident in the meantime. I can also let some of the other attendings in the department take on some more responsibility. I will take it easy for the next few weeks, I promise. If you think I'm doing too much, tell me and I will try to slow it down." Arizona promised, it was the best she could do.
Arizona felt like Callie might be a bit overprotective but the recent scare for both of them made her a bit more sympathetic to Callie's tendency to coddle her. She didn't want Callie to stress about her health when the ortho surgeon was working on getting prepared for a conference that was really going to acknowledge all the hard work she had done on her cartilage project. Besides that, her fiance did have a point, Arizona was exhausted, she knew she had been pushing herself to the limits these past few weeks.
"Ok." Callie agreed. She smiled through her worry. Arizona might not like her protectiveness at times but she understood Callie's worry and was acknowledging it instead of brushing it off.
"Come on, you have surgery to get to and I need to go make sure Alex didn't single handedly start a riot amongst the tiny humans." Arizona said, leading Callie toward the stairs. They went down one flight to the fourth floor and Arizona stopped to kiss Callie goodbye away from prying eyes.
"I have surgery in an hour. Want to meet for lunch after that?" Callie asked, trying to stall their impending separation.
"Of course, I'll be looking forward to it. Go be a rockstar, babe." Arizona said, giving Callie a chaste but passionate for work kiss.
"No wheelys, Arizona." Callie said. She had started down the flight of stairs to her floor below when the image of Arizona skating down the halls popped in her head, forcing her to turn around and point a finger in the blonde's direction.
"They are called heelys not wheelys, Calliope. I promise, no heelys for the rest of the week."
"A month, You had a concussion."
"Fine, a month."
Arizona made good on her promise, she held a meeting with her attendings and delegated some of the work that had kept her at the hospital longer these past few weeks. She also created a new on call schedule and made each attending accountable for their on call times instead of covering for them. She put her heelys in her desk drawer so she wouldn't be tempted to put them on and also to hide them from Callie. She wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly disappeared one day so she never took them home, preferring to keep them safely out of the Latina's sight and therefore out of her thoughts. Once her meeting was over and rounds were completed, the peds surgeon really had nothing left to do so she made her way to the ortho floor even though Callie was still in surgery, she thought she could use her time to check on Lexie.
"Hey Lexie, how are you feeling?" The perky blonde asked as she entered her friend's hospital room.
"Better, if I could just get out of here." Lexie replied.
"When will you get to go home?"
"This afternoon, finally. I'm going to stay at Mark's, he's going to take me home once he's done for the day."
"I'm really sorry about the accident, Lexie."
"Don't, it's not your fault. Besides, now I have an excuse to sit on my butt and watch trashy television and read all the romance novels I can get my hands on. Plus Mark has been super sweet and keeps bringing me chocolate. If you want to make it up to me, go to the gym with me when I'm recovered but weigh five hundred pounds."
"Deal." Arizona giggled.
"I'm not going to be able to go to Malawi."
"It's ok, Lexie. I know you're disappointed but there is always next year and we will find someone who wants to go. I can't replace you, that Lexipedia brain of yours is something else but I can find someone to fill your spot this time." Arizona replied. She was a little disappointed with Lexie's injury prohibiting her from traveling to Malawi. Lexie reminded her a lot of herself and she knew that Lexie would not only learn a lot and appreciate the opportunity but she would thrive and really make a difference at the clinic.
"My spot is already reserved for next year."
"It's a deal." Arizona promised.
"Time for physical therapy." Penny said, entering the room without looking up from her chart, effectively ending their visit.
"Ugh." Lexie replied.
"I need to meet Callie for lunch anyway. You've got this, Grey." Arizona said, patting the young resident's shoulder affectionately before leaving.

Arizona and Callie spent Thursday night ringing in the new year at home in front of the fireplace. Meredith and Derek were throwing a party and several of the residents and nurses were going to Joe's for his annual New Year's Eve bash but they had declined both invitations. Though they both enjoyed getting dolled up and a good party with friends, this year they found themselves just wanting to be in their home with each other. Callie would be leaving in two weeks for her conference and it would be the first time they had spent any real time apart since moving in together.
"Happy New Year baby." Arizona smiled as she emerged from beneath the blanket where she had just given Callie her third orgasm of the night. The ball had dropped just as Callie screamed Arizona's name and the blonde was feeling slightly cocky about it.
"Mmm happy new year. I think this is how we should spend every new year from now on." Callie said, a lazy smile on her face as she stroked blonde hair. Arizona lay between the woman's tan legs with her head rested on her belly. They remained that way for a while, both lost in their own thoughts and content just to be close to each other.
"Should we set a date for the wedding?" Arizona asked suddenly.
"I thought we were going to wait until you got back from Malawi."
"I don't want to wait until March to set a date. I want us to be married by next new years which means we need to start planning."
"I'm on board. Do you have a date in mind?"
"Kind of. August fourth was our first date and we moved in together on August fourth. It seems like a lucky date for us."
"Is that on a weekend?"
"No, I looked it up already, it's a Monday. Do you have any dates in mind?"
"Not particularly. I like the August fourth idea and what it means for us but it's going to be so hot in August. When I was little I always wanted a June wedding."
"What if we did the first weekend in June?"
"That's only six months away. Do you think we could pull it off?"
"With the help of your mom and Aria plus my mom, I think we could get married by the end of the month if we wanted to." Arizona replied with a smile. She really didn't care about the when or where, she just knew she wanted to be married to Callie as soon as possible.
"June seventh is a Saturday." Callie said, pulling up her phone.
"June seventh it is." Arizona said, plastering a kiss to Callie's lips.
"I can't believe we have a date."
"You get to tell our moms, I'm still recovering from a head injury, I can't take all the squealing."
"That's not what you said fifteen minutes ago when I was screaming your name." Callie said with an arched eyebrow.
"That type of squealing I am always up for, Calliope." Arizona replied with a harsh kiss.
"Shall we test that theory?"
"I think so." Arizona said before disappearing beneath the blanket again.

"I can't believe I'm leaving for the conference in the morning." Callie said as she double checked the luggage she had packed. Arizona had pressed all of her skirts, blouses, and suits for her the day before. Callie had been called into surgery and was stressed about getting everything done in time. She had come home to find Arizona had finished her to-do-list for her.
"Mmm, me neither, I'm going to miss you." Arizona said, coming up behind the brunette and hugging her tightly from behind.
"I wish you could come."
"Me too babe. I'm actually pretty sad that I won't be able to see you do your presentation in your kick ass power suit." Arizona said with a pout. She was actually very disappointed that she couldn't go with the ortho goddess. She was unbelievably proud of her fiance and she wanted to be able to show her off a bit. But tiny humans needed her. Besides, Jo and Owen were going with her.
"Maybe I shouldn't go." Callie said. She had gone back and forth several times over the last week and Arizona had talked her off the ledge each time. As much as she was going to miss her, she knew Callie needed to go and do this. It was a big deal and a great opportunity for the young and extremely talented surgeon.
"You're going and that's final, Dr. Torres. But tonight, I think I would like to take my beautiful, brilliant fiance out for a fancy dinner. What do you think?"
"I think if you wear those heels I bought you for Christmas that you have a deal."
"Okay but you're not getting into my panties until we get home so just remember that when you're finding it difficult to keep your hands and eyes off of me." Arizona teased.
"Maybe so but the second we get back home, game on." Callie said, licking her lips. Arizona felt the butterflies erupt in her abdomen. How was she supposed to survive eight days with Callie in New York?
Arizona called in a favor that she had with a local chef. She had just so happened to have recently treated his daughter and he had told her he owed her a favor, it was time to cash it in. While Callie was in the shower, Arizona called and made sure she could get the reservation. An hour later, they were both dressed and ready for a night on the town.
"You look beautiful, Calliope." Arizona said, her breath catching as she saw the tight navy blue dress on her fiance's body.
"So do you, Arizona. I am so excited to go out and be able to tell everyone that you're my fiance." Callie said, a breathtaking smile on her red lips. Her hair was in a long ponytail that fell nearly to the middle of her back.
"Your hair is getting so long, it's sexy." Arizona said, giving the pony tail a little tug as she passed by her fiance. She needed to put some distance between them or they wouldn't make it out of the house.
"I haven't seen that skirt before." Callie said as she eyed her fiance carefully. She was wearing a teal blouse that made her eyes look the same color. She had paired the blouse with a high waist black pencil skirt, a big black belt, and the black heels Callie had bought her.
"Yea it's an old skirt actually but I haven't been able to fit into it in a while." Arizona replied as she grabbed their dress coats from the closet. She eyed the brunette's leather jacket and selected it for Callie to wear in place of her peacoat.
"My leather jacket?" Callie asked.
"Yea, it's sexy, I love that jacket on you." Arizona said, helping Callie into it and then turned for Callie so she could help her slip into her long peacoat.
"Ok, the leather jacket it is." Callie replied, placing a kiss on Arizona's cheek.
The couple made it to Aqua with a few minutes to spare. They had both talked about eating at the restaurant but had never made time to go. Arizona smiled as she heard Callie gasp when she realized where they were at. They walked hand in hand through the parking lot and to the entrance, the entire time Callie talking excitedly about how much she had wanted to try the food.
"How did you get reservations on the same day?" Callie asked in wonder as Arizona gave them her name and the hostess took their jackets to be checked, handing Arizona a tag back for their coats.
"I can't share all my secrets with you, now can I?" Arizona asked smuggly.
"Right this way to your table, ladies." The hostess said, seating them at a table near a window. "Your waiter, Hugo will be with you shortly."
"Thank you." Arizona said as the hostess pulled out their chairs for them as they were seated.
"I have been dying to try their mussels and Mark has raved about their filet mignon. Oh and they have this bottle of wine that I want to try with you. I think it's one we will both like." Callie exclaimed, clearly excited with the restaurant choice.
"Ok but I will only have one glass because I have to drive. And I was thinking maybe on the way home we could stop and have a drink and maybe a dance or two."
"Where at? Joes?"
"No, I was thinking something a little more gay and a different group of patrons."
"What do you have in mind?"
"I've always wanted to check out Wildrose, it's the oldest lesbian bar in the area."
"Ohh I've never been to a lesbian bar."
"Want to check it out with me?" Arizona asked with a little wink that made the Latina's heart race.
"You bet your hot ass I do."
The couple enjoyed a nice meal that left Arizona ready to get her hands on her gorgeous fiance after the noises she made while enjoying her food. Callie was uncomfortably full but completely satisfied by the meal. They talked for a little while after dinner, Callie enjoying a third glass of wine while Arizona sipped on some water. It was still early, probably earlier than what was considered cool to go to any sort of club that housed a young crowd but they didn't care. They really just wanted to go dance and spend the evening with an excuse to be close to each other.
The bar was nearly empty as the two walked in but they didn't care, there was a dance floor and alcohol. Callie ordered a fruity drink that she wouldn't normally order and the two sat at the bar for a moment while Callie enjoyed her drink. Music was playing and the two spent some time slow dancing on the dance floor before the bar became more crowded with guests. Arizona could feel eyes on them but she only had eyes for Callie and she could tell by the way Callie was looking at her that the Latina had noticed no one else in the room. They finally took a break for a drink, both of them getting water this time and sat at a table for a moment.
"What colors do you want for the wedding?" Callie asked suddenly.
"I haven't really thought about it. It's June so something summery I guess. Do you have colors in mind?"
"Not really. I guess I kind of thought you would want pink."
"I wouldn't be opposed." Arizona replied with a smile.
"Maybe I shouldn't agree to colors when I just drank almost a whole bottle of wine and some fruity little drink that packs one hell of a punch." Callie laughed.
"Maybe we should get you home. You have to be up at a decent time and I still want to spend some time with you before we go to bed tonight." Arizona said.
"Fine but can we come back here sometime?"
"Anything you want babe."
Arizona paid the tab while trying to fight off Callie's not so indiscreet advances. If the blonde was handsy when she was tipsy, it was nothing compared to the way Callie was currently acting as she brushed blonde hair aside and sucked on Arizona's neck while the bartender ran her credit card. The Latina's hands roamed over Arizona's high waisted pencil skirt and Arizona sighed in relief when the bartender finally handed her card back. She was seriously concerned Callie was ready to take her against the bar with everyone watching the way she was acting. She grabbed Callie by the hand and pulled her out to the car, all the while she continued her advances on the blonde.
"Calliope Iphegenia Torres I am trying to drive and you are making it very difficult." Arizona said as the brunette leaned over into her seat and sucked her earlobe into her mouth while her hand started unbuttoning Arizona's blouse.
"Maybe you should pull over then." Callie husked into her ear while continuing her advances.
"Callie baby, I promise you, the second we pull into our driveway I am all yours but I need you to get back in your seat and put your seatbelt on, please." Arizona said, using all of her willpower to pay attention to the road. Her hands were sweaty on the wheel and the memory of metal crunching and sirens blaring suddenly filled her brain, "Please Callie."
Noting the blonde's demeanor, Callie suddenly realized how nervous Arizona was. She placed a kiss on the blonde's cheek and sat in her seat, replacing her seatbelt immediately. She placed a comforting hand on the blonde's thigh and she heard Arizona sigh another breath of relief. Callie watched Arizona to see if her intoxicated brain could understand what the sudden nervousness was about. She noted the white knuckles on the steering wheel. Arizona was a cautious driver before but she was never this tense, her hand would usually find Callie's or rest across the console on Callie's thigh but both hands were currently tightly gripping the wheel and Callie noted her careful and calculated breathing.
"Are you ok Arizona?" Callie asked, suddenly remembering the recent accident the blonde had been involved in.
"Yea honey, I'm fine. Just want to get us home safely before I have my way with you." Arizona replied, a small smile gracing her lips. She removed a hand from the steering wheel and grabbed Callie's hand currently resting on her thigh and brought it to her mouth, kissing it before placing both of their hands back in their previous positions.
"Finally." Callie said, releasing her seatbelt and Arizona's as the blonde placed the car in park in their garage.
"Callie!" Arizona squealed as the brunette attempted to pull Arizona into her lap.
"I want to finish what we started in the car a few weeks ago."
"Oh when the delivery boy caught us making out?"
"Yea but now we are in the garage, no one can catch us."
"This skirt is a bit restrictive for a junior high makeout in a car."
"Who said anything about a junior high makeout? I intend to have my way with you and that skirt will have to go." Callie said as she succeeded in getting Arizona into her lap.
After a few minutes of fumbling with the zipper of the skirt and a few curses flying out of the Latina's mouth, the skirt was pushed up Arizona's thighs and rested around her waist, the tight space not allowing Callie to remove it completely. The blonde laughed at Callie's frustration at not being able to remove her skirt.
"You do know we are home and have a whole house that will give you the room to do whatever you want, right?"
"But I want you right here. I want to take you in your own car." Callie said as she finished unbuttoning Arizona's blouse and her lips attached to the newly revealed skin.
"You're going to leave a mark, Callie." Arizona said.
"That's the point. I will be gone for eight whole days, I need to mark you so you don't forget me."
"I could never forget you."
Callie's mouth continued marking the blonde's chest as the brunette finally freed a breast from the cup of a lacy bra. Her hands roamed up pale thighs that straddled her lap and her hand finally made it into lacy panties. Callie hummed at the wetness she found there and she ran her fingers through the folds several times before she entered the blonde with two fingers. Arizona arched her back at the intrusion, pressing her exposed chest closer to Callie's face, allowing her to take full advantage at her access to the exposed nipple. She pulled a pink nipple into her mouth and nibbled and sucked gently while her fingers plunged in and out of the blonde. Arizona's fingers found Callie's ponytail and she wrapped her hands in the dark locks, holding Callie's face to her chest.
"Oh God, Callie." Arizona whimpered as her body convulsed around Callie's fingers.
"I think that's the fastest I've ever made you cum." Callie replied with a cocky smirk as she removed her fingers and sucked them into her mouth. She placed a kiss on Arizona's bare chest and then opened the car door, "Come on, I want to do that a few more times before we go to sleep."
The couple spent the night making love until the early morning hours, falling asleep naked and in each other's arms. Arizona buried her face further into Callie's hair when the alarm clock sounded four short hours later. She tightened her arms around the brunette's waist, not wanting the day to start yet. She knew the brunette had to get up and shower but suddenly the realization that she would be gone for eight days brought tears to blue eyes. Arizona fought them off as she felt Callie stir in her arms.
"Ugh." Callie said as she slapped the alarm clock with her hand. Arizona giggled, Callie really hated mornings even on the rare occasion that she slept eight or more hours.
"Time to get up baby." Arizona whispered into her hair as she placed a kiss on Callie's shoulder. Callie turned in her arms and pulled Arizona into her chest as she heard the smaller woman sniffle.
"It's only eight days." Callie said, kissing the top of Arizona's head.
"I know."
"Shower with me?" Callie asked, not wanting to break contact with the blonde just yet but knowing she had to move.
"Who could refuse that offer?"
An hour later the couple was showered and dressed. Arizona had made them a quick breakfast of eggs, toast, and fruit while Callie carefully applied her makeup, did her hair, and dressed. Arizona loaded Callie's suitcase in the back of her car and they did a final check to make sure Callie had everything she needed. As they climbed into the car, Arizona handed her a wrapped box.
"What's this for?"
"Just something for good luck even though you don't need it. But if you get nervous or miss me too much, I wanted you to have something to ground you. I wish I could be there for you but since I can't be, I thought I would send something with you to think of me."
Callie opened the gift and found a silver pendant about the size of a quarter with a heart cut out of the upper right side. It was engraved with a little personalized message from Arizona: You're a rockstar. I'm so proud of you. I love you, Calliope. XOXO -AZ
"It's a pocket good luck token. You can hold it in your hand or put it in your pocket. I just wanted you to have something so you know I'm with you in spirit."
"I love it, Arizona. Thank you so much for supporting me." Callie said, placing a heated kiss on Arizona's lips.
"Seatbelt." Arizona said before she pulled out of the garage.
The drive to the airport was quiet and seemed to go much faster than either of them wanted it to. Arizona parked and walked Callie into the airport even though she knew she wouldn't be able to go past security. They found Owen and Jo already in the lobby in line to be checked in. Arizona stood back and let Callie check her back with the other two and then it was time for them to go through security which meant it was time for them to say goodbye.
"I'll miss you." Callie said as she pulled Arizona off to the side.
"I'll miss you more. Have a safe flight."
"I'll call you when we land and are settled at the hotel."
"I love you. Go be a rockstar babe."
"I love you too. I have to go but I will talk to you tonight, ok?"
"Ok. See you in eight days." Arizona said, hugging Callie tightly.
"Eight days." Callie promised before pulling Arizona in for one more tight hug. She released her quickly and walked over to Owen and Jo. Saying goodbye even for eight days was harder than she expected and she found herself fighting off tears.
XXXXX
Callie
Six hours later Callie texted Arizona that their flight had landed in New York safely and an hour after that she sent her another message that they had arrived at their hotel and she was getting ready for dinner with Jo and Owen at one of the hotel restaurants. It was nearly seven pm New York time and she was exhausted despite it being only four in Seattle. Their conference didn't start until Monday at nine in the morning and Callie's presentation wouldn't be until Thursday, giving her three full days to practice.
Callie changed into a simple dress and flats and headed down to the lobby to meet Owen and Jo for dinner. She planned on eating with them and then spending the rest of her night in her room having a hot bath and going over her presentation and the itinerary. They would have some time later in the week to explore bits of New York. Tomorrow was just a meet and greet and they were going to one of the local hospitals to view their new equipment for laparoscopic surgeries that they were trialing. The conference began on Monday and ended at five on the first three days but the fourth day it ended by three, the fifth day was in the afternoon from one to five only and the last day it ended at one, giving them the rest of Saturday to explore before returning home on Sunday.
"Hey baby." Arizona answered on the first ring later that night when Callie called.
"Hey you."
"How's New York? How was your flight?"
"The flight was uneventful. The hotel is amazing, I wish you were here. I can't believe the hospital put us up in this hotel." Callie said as she looked around her room. She had a king sized bed, a view of the water, a giant tub, all that was missing was her blonde.
"God, I miss you already."
"How was your day?"
"Long. I got called in right after dropping you off. I'm still here finishing up some paperwork."
"It's after seven there and you dropped me off at eight this morning, Arizona."
"I know, it's just that I don't like the idea of being home without you there. It makes me miss you more. At least here I am busy. Besides, I'm filling out paperwork to put Steven Carter on hospice. There was a meeting today between myself, the oncologist, general surgery, psychiatry, and Steven's parents. He's not responding to treatment, the cancer is far more advanced than they expected and he has another obstruction. He had a grand mal seizure today, the new scans show mets to the brain and spine."
"Oh God, Arizona, I am so sorry."
"It's ok. It's just been a very long and emotional day."
"Is there anything I can do?"
"Just hearing your voice makes everything better. It's getting late there though, shouldn't you be getting to bed?"
"I'm in bed. I just wanted to hear your voice before I go to sleep."
"Go to sleep babe. I will be heading home as soon as I get Sam to fax this paperwork."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Text me that you made it home safely."
"You will be asleep."
"I won't be able to sleep until I know you're home."
"Ok, I'll text you in half an hour."
"Ok, love you."
"Love you too. Goodnight Calliope."
The next three days passed quickly for Callie. She, Owen, and Jo enjoyed the tour of the surgical suite and Callie had actually won a competition at the hospital using their brand new machine in the practice lab. The next day they sat through lecture after lecture, learning about new techniques and discoveries made by orthopedic surgeons all over the country. It was the end of the lecture on Tuesday and Jo, Owen, and Callie were discussing dinner plans when a familiar voice sounded behind Callie. Callie's spine stiffened and a fake smile was plastered to her face as she turned.
"As I live and breathe, it's Callie Torres. How have you been, Cal?"
"I've been amazing Arthur."
"No one calls me that. It's Blake, you know that."
"I kind of prefer Arthur." Callie said with a shrug.
"You have dinner plans?"
"As a matter of fact I do. Arthur Blake, this is Dr. Owen Hunt and Dr. Jo Wilson from Seattle Grace. We were just heading out for dinner." Callie said, introducing the two doctors standing there watching the exchange.
"Can I buy you dinner while you're here?" Arthur asked.
"I don't think so."
"Come on, Cal. I want to hear all about your life. It's been a while since we've caught up. I heard you were in Afghanistan and now you're some sort of ortho genius in Seattle."
"All true but I am still going to have to decline. Now, if you will excuse us I am getting hangry and you know how dangerous that can be." Callie said, motioning for Jo and Owen to follow her.
"It was nice to see you Cal but even better to watch you walk away." Arthur yelled across the lobby earning him some scandalous looks from the patrons as well as Jo and Owen but Callie kept walking without turning around, though her cheeks were a few shades pinker.
"Who the hell was that hunk?" Jo asked.
"No one you want to get to know, trust me." Callie replied.
"He seemed to know you pretty well." Owen commented, noting the blush on Callie's cheeks as she kept up the pace to the sushi restaurant they had made reservations at.
"He's nobody."
"Does Robbins know about this nobody?" Owen asked.
"Yep."
"Does she know he's here?" Jo asked.
"Nope."
"Yikes." Jo said. Callie turned and gave her a pointed glare as she opened the door to the restaurant.
"I'm hungry and I don't want to ruin my appetite by talking about that pompous jerk so can we please just drop it."
"For now." Owen replied with a smile.
Callie attempted calling Arizona several times that night but received no answer each time. She finally settled for a goodnight text that also went unresponded to before she laid down and finally fell into a restless sleep. She was more than nervous for her presentation as it was coming up quickly and seeing Arthur had unnerved her more than she cared to admit. When her alarm went off the next morning, she reached for her phone and smiled as she read the text from Arizona.
I'm so sorry I missed your calls. I got called into an emergency surgery and am just now getting home. I hope you're enjoying kicking ortho ass because you are never going to one of these conferences without me again. I miss you too much. I love you, babe. Talk to you tomorrow -AZ
Callie sighed as she read the text. Though it had made her smile she was a bit upset that she had talked to the blonde so little while she had been in New York. She knew Arizona was back to work full time but she had promised Callie to take it easier now that she had delegated some duties and made the on call schedule more fair amongst the attending physicians but it seemed the blonde had resorted to old habits while Callie was away. To say Callie was in a sour mood was an understatement as she threw back her covers and got ready for the day.
"Wow, who pissed in your cheerios, Cal?" Arthur asked as Callie poured herself a cup of coffee on their first morning break. She had taken out her phone to see if Arizona had messaged her and sighed grumpily when she saw no new messages. Logically she knew it was only seven in the morning in Seattle and Arizona had a late night the night before but she couldn't help but be annoyed.
"Not now."
"Come on Cal. I know I was a jerk. Just let me make it up to you." Arthur pleaded, flashing his white smile and honey brown eyes in her direction. It once would have worked before a blue eyed blonde with a dimpled smile that blew Arthur's out of the water came into her life.
"There's nothing to make up for Arthur. We broke up, we both moved on."
"It was a mistake. I made a mistake."
"A mistake is not repetitive. You cheated over and over and over again. That's a behavior, a habit, not a mistake. I've moved on, I'm happy."
"I noticed the ring on your finger."
"I'm engaged." Callie confirmed. At the mention of her fiance though a slight frown formed on her face. She missed the perky blonde and her bad mood had everything to do with their lack of contact over the past several days.
"Trouble in paradise?" Arthur asked, pouncing on the frown on Callie's face.
"I'm not discussing Arizona with you."
"Arizona? That's a weird name for a dude."
"Everyone back to their seats please." The Chief of New-York Presbyterian requested from the podium. Callie made her way back to Owen and Jo with her cup of coffee in hand to start the second half of the morning lectures.
At 12:30 the group broke for lunch. Callie was feeling less than social so she decided to go for a walk and grab a hot dog from the street vendor a few blocks away. Owen had met a few colleagues that he was having lunch in the hotel bar with. Jo opted for room service since she had a headache and wanted a nap. Callie made her way down the street, enjoying the cool January air. It was cold but the sun was shining and the lack of wind made the walk pleasant. Callie grabbed a hot dog with relish, onions, and mustard and found a bench near the park to sit and eat.
"Couldn't resist the New York hot dogs, huh?" Arthur asked, sitting beside her with his own hotdog covered in cheese and jalapenos.
"What are you doing here, Arthur?" Callie asked.
"I just want to catch up with you. I've missed you, Cal."
"I wish I could say the same."
"Hey, now. We were close once."
"Yea and then you cheated on me and married someone else, Arthur."
"I really hate that you call me Arthur now."
"It suits you better. I work with Penny Blake and when I call you Blake, I think of her. Only I really like her and I hate that."
"You work with Penny? Now that was a huge mistake."
"She's a nice person."
"Of course she's nice to you, she has a thing for you."
"What? You're crazy."
"She told me all about her fantasies about you. It's why we divorced, she thought she could be into men but she wasn't. Don't worry though, I set her straight, I told her she was barking up the wrong tree with you."
"Oh and you cheating on her had nothing to do with it?"
"She cheated on me actually, with a woman. I kind of got a taste of my own medicine, I didn't like it much." Arthur confessed. Callie stopped and looked at him for the first time in two years.
"I wouldn't imagine you would." Callie replied, eyeing him carefully.
"Hold still, you've got a bit of mustard just there." Arthur said, reaching up and brushing his thumb across plump red lips as he wiped the mustard from them then stuck his thumb in his mouth to lick it off. Callies's phone rang and she jumped up from the bench, fumbling to pull it from her pocket.
"I've got to take this." Callie said, seeing Arizona's name. She walked a few feet away to get some space and privacy.
"Hey baby, how has your day been?" Arizona's voice sounded perky over the phone.
"Hey, you do exist." Callie snarked back.
"Everything ok?" Arizona asked.
"Yea fine, just on a lunch break. I walked down to the park to get some air."
"Well I called at the perfect time then. I just woke up and made some coffee. I'm going in late today but it will hopefully be an early night. I don't have any surgeries scheduled today, just a meeting with the other attendings and some paperwork to go over."
"That's good."
"What's wrong? You sound upset."
"I just didn't sleep well last night."
"Well get to bed early tonight then babe. If I'm home early enough do you want to facetime with me?"
"Sure."
"Cal, we've gotta go." Arthur said, walking over to Callie and pointing to his watch.
"I have to go babe, love you."
"Love you too. Who was that?" Arizona barely got out before Callie hung up the phone without answering her.
Callie was sitting on the bed in her hotel room that night fumbling through channels on the television. Her mind was running wild with thoughts of Arizona and nerves over her presentation she was going to give tomorrow. She decided to draw herself a bath in the giant tub and poured some lavender bath salts and bubble bath in to try to calm her anxiety. She had just submerged herself in the hot water, a glass of red wine perched precariously on the edge of the tub, when her phone went off alerting her to a facetime call from Arizona.
"Hey honey." Callie said, answering the phone.
"Calliope, are you in the bath?" Arizona asked, looking around. She was clearly not at home and Callie could see her passing by the familiar halls of the peds unit.
"I am." Callie replied with a wink.
"Hold on, I'm headed to my office." Arizona said, the image of her scrubs obscuring Callie's view and therefore anyone else's view of Callie naked in the bathtub.
"How have you been babe, I've missed you?" Callie asked, the alcohol making her a little less annoyed than she previously had been.
"Answering your phone naked and wet in the bath like that is doing all sorts of things to me right now Calliope. I miss you." Arizona pouted. She locked her office door and smiled at the brunette.
"I've missed that smile." Callie said.
"I've missed you too baby."
"I'm nervous about tomorrow."
"You're going to do great, you are so ready for this."
"Too bad you're not here to distract me and ease some of this tension." Callie teased, circling a soapy areola.
"Mmm, I could still help you with that baby." Arizona said, enjoying the view.
"I want you to touch me."
"Prop your phone up so I can watch you touch yourself." Arizona instructed.
"Where do you want me to touch myself?" Callie asked, seductively, liking the direction this call was suddenly going as she propped her phone up on the large edge of the tub.
"Keep circling your nipple with that hand babe and let your other hand wander down to your clit. I want to see how wet you are." Arizona replied as she watched Callie slide her hand beneath the bubbles and moan as her hand reached her bundle of nerves. Her hips bucked slightly at the touch and Callie bit her bottom lip.
"God it feels so good."
"You're so sexy, Callie. Show me your fingers, I want to see how wet you are." Arizona said but Callie kept circling her clit, her head arching back, making her nipples breach the water in her tub. Arizona watched in awe as bubbles slid down the tan mounds. "Show me your fingers now, Calliope."
Callie opened her eyes and removed her fingers from her folds to hold them in front of the camera. Despite the water having washed away some of her essence, it was still evident that the brunette was completely turned on. Arizona's heart began to beat faster and a throbbing at her center matched the steady beat. She was completely turned on but helpless to do anything. Not being able to touch Callie was torturous.
"Are you wet?" Callie asked suddenly, noting the darkening of Arizona's eyes.
"Seeing you touch yourself while you're naked and wet is definitely a turn on." Arizona replied.
"Show me."
"I can't, I'm at work."
"Your office door is locked, right?"
"Yes." Arizona replied, looking up at the door to make sure it was indeed locked.
"Then show me, Arizona. If you want to see me make myself cum, you're going to cum with me while I watch you fuck yourself." Callie said. The foul language and forcefulness of Callie's voice did the trick for Arizona. She laid back on the sofa in her office, propping her phone up on the coffee table and snaked her hand into her scrubs and finally into her underwear.
"I'm so wet, Callie." Arizona said as she pulled her hand out and showed Callie.
"Jesus, Arizona." Callie said.
"Together?" Arizona asked as she placed her hand back in her pants and began massaging her clit. Callie mimicked her and her hand slid below the surface of the water.
"Keep your eyes open, baby." Callie instructed and blue eyes flew open and found Callie's.
"Oh God, Callie." Arizona panted as her fingers worked her clit. She watched on as Callie squeezed her own breast hard, running a thumb over her hardened nipple.
"Put two fingers inside." Callie instructed as she entered herself with two of her own fingers. Arizona obeyed and arched her back, her thumb pressing against her clit.
"I'm close." Arizona whimpered, trying to hold off her impending orgasm so they could cum together.
"Oh me too baby, let go. Cum with me." Callie demanded as she felt her own orgasm hit with full force. She yelled out Arizona's name as she watched the blonde orgasm with her mouth open in a silent scream. Both women lay panting, catching their breath as they watched each other through the camera.
"That was.."
"Wow." Callie laughed.
"Yea, wow." Arizona replied with a dimpled smile.
"It doesn't beat the real thing but I am definitely in favor of doing that again. This time with you naked and wet in the bath too."
"I'll be home in an hour." Arizona replied with a wink.
"As much as I would love that, I have my presentation tomorrow so I am going to finish this glass of wine, go over my slides one more time, and get to sleep. Rain check?"
"Anything for you baby. Good luck tomorrow. You're going to knock their socks off. I am so proud of you, do you know that?"
"You may have told me a time or two."
"Good to know you do listen to me then." Arizona teased.
"Dr. Robbins?" A knock on the door broke Arizona's attention. She quickly sat up, removing her hand from her scrubs.
"Give me two minutes, I'll be right out." Arizona called out to her resident for the day. She liked Stephanie but she was no Lexie when it came to peds. She had her eyes on neuro and according to Amelia, she was quite talented in that field.
"Duty calls?"
"Looks that way. Sorry I couldn't talk longer baby."
"Don't work too late."
"I won't. Get some rest honey. I love you, you've got this."
"I love you too. Goodnight, Arizona."
"Night, Calliope."
Callie finished her wine and her bath before she looked through her slides again. Despite the great conversation with Arizona, she was feeling tense again and she pulled up a picture of Arizona, hoping it would help her find sleep easier. But the blonde hair, blue eyed beauty just made her ache with want again. Her presentation was in the morning and she knew she needed the sleep but a mixture of nervousness, excitement, and now arousal kept her awake. She slid her hand into her panties, remembering the look on Arizona's face as she came undone around her own fingers earlier that night. After giving herself two more orgasms, a dreamless sleep finally came to the ortho goddess.
