First of all, I wanted to thank everyone for the support. Thank you for understanding and the love being sent to Kiki even if you didn't know her, It meant a lot.

I would also like to extend my condolences to those who have also recently lost a beloved family member, because pets are family no matter what someone else says.

Honestly the fact that she was dead and no longer going to be around didn't set in until I got home from work one day and didn't hear her bark as I opened the door, I spent twenty minutes looking for her to see if she wanted to go outside before I saw her collar on the shelf next to her Urn.

It wasn't until two days ago that I needed to focus on something else. Because while the random bursts of crying is understandable, I shouldn't let it come to the point where I am suddenly crying at work and had to be sent home a few times.

So, I decided to somewhat work on the story. It's...not very long...but I needed to do something and thought this might be good way to thank you guys.

It's not much...But still.

Thank You.

Because...Bye bye

Sesshomaru didn't know what to expect when they came back.

His mother corrupting his pup with more story's of his childhood? Yes.

Jaken giving a report? Somewhat.

The leech of a human imprisoned for conspiring to kill his mate?

….surprisingly no. At least, not so soon.

Seems the girl had slipped up since she had been muttering her plan's out loud, near his mother and Rin, not even having to mention how stupid it was to do so in a castle full of youkai.

So here he was, in the main hall, Kaname sitting beside him, his mother with Rin sitting a level below his platform, and his commanders lining the hall.

And Amanda tied up and forced to kneel in front of everyone.

He stared down at her, silently noting how much of a bug she resembled, and hummed.

"Execute her." he said without hesitation.

"Yes, My lord!"

"WHAT!"

Kaname quirked a brow from besides him, "What exactly did you expect to happen?" she questioned dryly, "Surely you should have known that attacking me would lead to your death?" Kaname then gave a mocking smile, "Not that you could have killed me."

The girl struggled as the guards hauled her up, "NO! IT'S NOT RIGHT! YOU'RE NOT RIGHT!"

Sesshomaru raised an unimpressed brow at her yelling.

"And how am I 'not right'?" Kaname asked curiously. She vaguely wondered if Amanda had gone crazy at some point, Maybe the harshness of the past has finally gotten to her? She mused. Maybe the lack of bathing was the final straw?

Amanda paused in struggling, before sending a vicious- if not a bit deranged- sneer towards the Miko. "YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO BE HERE! YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO EXIST! KAGOME NEVER HAD AN OLDER SISTER! SESSHOMARU NEVER LOVED ANY HUMAN EXCEPT FOR RIN! AND SHE DIDN'T HAVE A MOTHER FIGURE!" She roared, "YOU DON'T BELONG! UNNATURAL! UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL, UNNATURAL-"

THUD

The room became silent as Sesshomaru lowered his hand. The commanders watching the head of Amanda roll along the floor, before stopping in front of where Kaname sat.

"Get rid of it." The lord commanded with a sneer. He turned around and went back to sitting in his spot, ignoring how a few youkai came in to clean up, then turned towards the rest of the people in the room. "Now that the bothersome trash has been taken care of, Report."

And so the meeting continued, with Kaname only commenting on how she would love to have Amanda's head mounted on the wall.

It was a peaceful few weeks after that. Kaname and Sesshomaru forgetting all about the strange American after only a day, and instead focused when scouts came back with no news of any powerful artifacts that could be used.

Inu-kimi had regaled tales of Sesshomaru when she had the chance, which was dwindling as her son had made sure to take Kaname with him when he had to do something, or wearing her out the night before so his mother couldn't get to her.

The demoness took that as a challenge.

It was during one of their meals, to which Inu kimi had opened her mouth with the intent to regale Kaname with another story about pup Sesshomaru, that things took a turn.

Sesshomaru regarded the male that had barged into the room with annoyance. "What is it."

"MY LORD! RYUUKOSSEI HAS AWAKENED!"

This caused everyone in the room to stir, muttering about the dragon the late Inu no Taisho had sealed away, before being silenced by Sesshomaru.

"What do you mean? How?" He demanded.

"W-We do not know, the scouts guarding it only mentioned seeing a white baboon and a hanyou in red before Ryuukossei awoke."

"Baboon?" Kaname muttered.

"A hanyou in red. Inuyasha and Naraku." Sesshomaru hissed. He quickly stood from his place, "I see. I will take care of this. Come Kaname, Rin, we are leaving."

Kaname quickly picked up Rin before following him out. "Of course."

"Sesshomaru." Inu-kimi called out, making the three pause and look towards her. The demon sent a worried look towards him, "Do be careful, I do not want to lose another to that dragon."

Sesshomaru nodded his head towards her, well aware how it was the dragon that put the fatal blow to his father, before continuing on.

"We've not heard from the baboon in months, and yet he suddenly appears and seemed to have released your fathers enemy." Kaname mused, following Sesshomaru out towards the entrance. She spotted Jaken running towards them with A-Un following, "Hurry Jaken, time is of the essence!"

"My Lord, What is happening?!" Jaken questioned, only to get stepped on as Sesshomaru passed him.

"An old enemy of the Inu no Taisho has been freed from his seal." Kaname answered instead, placing Rin on A-Un (Who the girl happily greeted) before getting on herself. "It seems Naraku was the one to do it." she checked to make sure that her Naginata was securely strapped to A-Un's saddle, before taking the reins.

Jaken jumped up behind the Miko, "Ryuukossei?!" He then yelped as A-Un took to the sky.

The three riders paused in the air as Sesshomaru's youkai suddenly spiked, and before their eye's a great Inu youkai was in his place and running through the sky.

Kaname blinked, "Oh my..." she muttered, urging A-Un to keep up with Sesshomaru. "What a handsome Inu."

Rin smiled, "PAPA IS SO COOL!" She yelled, stars in her eye's as she gazed at Sesshomaru's true form. "Mama, do you think papa will let Rin put flowers in his hair?"

Kaname smiled in amusement at the mental image, "I do not know, we shall ask at a later date. It may take some time to find enough flowers to weave into all of that hair."

Rin nodded her head thoughtfully, glancing over the giant dog running ahead of them, "You are right mama, maybe Rin will have to recruit help."

Jaken wanted to say something, but one warning glance from Kaname was enough for him to shut his beak.

It didn't take long for them to arrive, yet once they had there was no one there, not even Ryuukossei. Only the lingering youkai from the dragon.

Kaname stopped and landed A-Un a good distance away from Sesshomaru, letting the Lord investigate on what had happened.

"Mama?" Rin questioned.

"Yes?"

"Who is Ryuukossei?"

"Well, from what your father has said, he was a great dragon that was on par with the Inu no Taisho. Apparently the two fought for day's with no rest, before his father was able to embed one of his claw above Ryuukossei's heart, sealing the dragon away. But Inu no Taisho had taken a fatal wound to seal him, it was what killed him in the end." Kaname explained. She watched as Sesshomaru went back into his human form and kneel to observe something.

Kaname pet A-Un and showered him in affection while Rin played with Jaken as they waited for Sesshomaru to finish. She found it strange that there was no snow in the area, but chalked it up to the battle that had taken place melting everything.

Hearing footsteps coming up to her, Kaname looked from the dragon to find Sesshomaru with a pensive face.

"My lord?" she questioned.

"It seems that Ryuukossei has been slain by Inuyasha." he stated, making Kaname give him a shocked look. He nodded his head, "Yes, it is hard to imagine."

"I take it we are going to go and get answers from him?"

His only answer was to wrap an arm around her waist and fly into the sky.

She could hear the spluttering of Jaken as he was picked up by A-Un while Rin had gotten on his back.

It took several hours for them to arrive back at the bone eaters well, and when they landed to walk to the village a couple of miles away, the two adult's paused near the well.

"There is a faint trace of your sister's blood in the air." Sesshomaru noted, seeing pinprick droplets of red juts outside of the well. "It's fresh." he murmured.

Kaname, on the other hand, narrowed her eye's at the strange foreign and warped reiki signature she could feel. "Someone used a familiar." She stated, "And the only other miko here is an elder named Kaede." she paused as a scowl marred her face, "This is not her signature."

"Jaken."

"Yes Milord?"

"Stay on A-Un with Rin."

"Yes!"

"Why is it whenever I visit my sister, she seems to be in some sort of trouble?" Kaname wondered as they started making their way to the village. "Maybe I should just take her with us this time, so she is safe for once."

Sesshomaru smirked at that, "I do not think her companions would like that."

"Then they should protect her better." she retorted.

As the two arrived closer and closer to the village Kaname frowned. It deepened as her eye's seemed to follow a faint trail leading to the hut she could feel Inuyasha residing in.

"Kaname." Sesshomaru questioned.

"...theres a curse. A cursed cast by a dark miko." She informed in irritation, which grew into fury as she saw the state her sister was in once inside of the hut. "What the fuck." she hissed.

Inuyasha and his pack jerked in surprise at her sudden appearance.

"Sesshomaru?!" Inuyasha yelled in shock.

"Lady Kaname!" Miroku called out, "What are you doing here?"

Kaname quickly went to Kagome's side, kneeling and observing the tainted jewel shards lodged in her neck. "My Lord was given a report of Ryuukossei awakening and was going to take care of it, but it seemed Inuyasha had already done so somehow." She gave a glance at the hanyou, "We will be expecting answer from you." her eye's then slid back to Kagome, she lightly placed her palm over the shards and started to focus her reiki on purging the curse. "And LO and BEHOLD. I come to find my sister in danger. AGAIN." she stated in annoyance. "Tis a wonder as to why I am even surprised at this point."

Sesshomaru hummed in agreement.

Inuyasha huffed at the silent jab the two were sending him, "Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before."

Sango, not really wanting another fight between the elder Miko and Inuyasha, quickly stepped in. "Lady Kaname, are you able to do something for Kagome?"

Kaname hummed, an annoyed frown marring her face. "Hmp, I am somewhat ashamed to say that I cannot seem to actually break this curse."

The group looked shocked at that.

"But you're really strong!" Shippo protested.

"I know." She smirked, "But I am not so strong as to fight off a Miko who has the support of youkai, her own remaining reiki, and the seemingly large jewel fragment she has." she stated. She pulled her hand back and rummaged through her sleeves, "Yet, while not able to break it, I can suppress it so that it is only an annoying voice in the back of her mind." Kaname pulled out a talisman and wrapped it around Kagome's neck, she then injected her reiki in and activating it.

Miroku and an elderly woman- Kaname vaguely remembers seeing her from Kagome's memories- leaned over in interest. They seemed very fascinated by her talisman and how it could hold back that much power.

"Will she be alright?" The elder questioned.

"So long as she does not remove it until I kill the castor, then she will be fine." Kaname answered as she got up.

Sesshomaru observed her for a moment, before grunting. "You've gotten lazy."

Kaname gave a wry smile, "Yes. I admit I may have gotten fairly lax in my training since we've started to travel." she shrugged, "My fault." Because she totally could have broken that curse if she had kept up with her regiment.

Oh, her father would be so ashamed.

And her grandfather will be once he finds out.

He always found out.

"It will be reminded."

The two walked out, Kaname determined to kill the vermin trying to control her sister and telling Sesshomaru that she would like to take care of the wench herself when found. The lord agreed, he wasn't particularly fond of the idea of having to deal with a lowly miko himself.

It did not take long to find where the woman was hiding.

"If she was trying to be discrete, then maybe the visible barrier was not a very bright idea." She stated with a scoff.

"Are you able to break it?" Sesshomaru questioned.

"Hm..." Kaname hummed, walking up to it and runner her hand along it. She cocked her head to the side as if she was listening to something, before made an unimpressed noise. "The fool is too focused on the curse, probably trying to overpower my talisman, to properly feed the barrier. Idiot should have used her own talisman's for the barrier so she wouldn't have to worry about feeding it."

"...you are criticizing your prey." he said dryly.

"Yes. Look at this sloppy work!" She stated in disgust, "Just because she has a large fragment of the jewel, does not mean it should be relied upon to strengthen ones self." she raised her Naginata, having grabbed it from A-Un before they left, and channeled her reiki through it. "And even then she contracted with such a pathetic youkai! If she was going to go dark then she should have chosen a stronger youkai. Go big or go home!" She then rammed the blade through the barrier, adding more reiki and watching spider cracks appear around the barrier. "Do you see this? Look how weak it is! And oh, she has finally noticed our presence and trying to fix the barrier- A LITTLE LATE FOR THAT!"

Sesshomaru was honestly a little amused by his mate mocking and criticizing of the dark miko.

She jerked her weapon down, shattering the barrier with mock surprise. "Amateurs." she grumbled before walking forward, making snarky comments the whole way.
