Hoooodamn...

It was...tough to write even this much, but here it is. Not much but hey, it's something.

Sorry about the wait, but work decided- in all their INFINITE GLORY- that hey! "We should get rid of the equipment we use to move all this heavy shit, and instead have our workers drag it by hand to their destination!"

THIS SHIT IS HEAVY YO!

MY BACK, LEG'S, AND SHOULDERS ARE KILLING ME! WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS?!

Although, I must say, my legs have never been so DEFINE before. Like damn! NEVER MISS LEG DAY!

And if that wasn't enough, then by the time we all got use to it (And our new floor plan which changes every month) IT WAS PEAK SEASON TIME!

AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN!

NEW HIRES!

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

...Honestly the only good thing so far has been My Grandmother- who I haven't seen in almost over 15 years- surprised me by arriving just in time for my birthday! And she's staying for a couple of months!

Holy shit guy's, my grandma is so fucking cute! she also throws shade like no ones business, combines with my mom and no one stands a chance.

Fuck I Love her.

Because...Bat's and Inu-kimi...again...

Sesshomaru was getting...frustrated.

It had been a month since the younger Higurashi and Wolf tribe leader declared their feelings for one another to Kaname. Bravely putting their lives on the line for a chance to court.

He admitted to admiring the wolf for it, as not many would be foolish enough to ask Kaname directly to her face. And while the miko had given in with a set condition, she was not happy about it. After his pack had left, Kaname had been...moody.

She was happy that her sister found someone who would love her like she deserved, who put her first, who could properly protect her. Yet, at the same time, she despaired that Kagome would some day be taken by the wolf, apart of some other family then her own. Then she would rage at the thought of Kouga taking her purity, laying his 'filthy' hands on her body. And, again, become happy at the thought's of nieces and nephews to spoil.

Rinse and repeat.

But that- surprisingly enough- was not what was frustrating him.

Not even his mother staying far longer then she said she would, and stealing his pup and mate was what it was.

No, what frustrated him was the fact that the demons he sent out to retrieve any powerful artifacts either couldn't breech the barrier, was too late and someone else had gotten it, was slain, or the artifact turned out to be a fake.

And thats not even counting the fact that there has been no sign of that vermin, Naraku.

He had half the mind to try and brave mount Hakurei and take the artifact that the body of a monk had on it.

His door slammed opened.

"Sesshomaru!"

He sighed, "Yes, mother?"

Inu-kimi, in all her glory, strode purposely into the room and towards him. She paused, looking him over, before slamming her hands on his desk.

He rose a brow at this behavior, wondering what his mother wanted of him.

"Kaname had just informed me that her father had blue eyes!" Inu-kimi stated.

He blinked. What did this have to do with him?

Seeing the question he was sending her, Inu-kimi growled and slammed her hands again, "BLUE. EYES. Do you understand what this means?!" She demanded, "PUPS WITH BLUE EYES!"

He gave her the most unimpressed look to date.

Inu-kimi ignored this.

Inu-kimi had gone into her own world where white haired pup's with blue eyes, or black haired with gold were lovingly calling her grandmother. She clasped her hands together and sighed out in bliss, "Oooh~ can you just imagine it? Such beautiful and powerful pups! All running around and playing, calling out to me in joy when I come to visit~!" her cheeks started to flush. "And the ears~! Oh I hope one of them has the dog ears!"

He was not impressed. "Mother..." He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he was starting to get a headache. He had far too much on his plate to be dealing with this.

She then slammed the desk again, "WHY HAVE YOU BEEN DEPRIVING ME OF THIS, SESSHOMARU?! DO YOU NOT FEEL FOR YOUR POOR MOTHER?! SHE JUST WANTS TO SEE HER GRANDPUPS BEFORE SHE DIES!" she lamented dramatically, pulling her sleeves up to dry fake tears.

Why has he not kicked her out yet? It is not honorable to kick ones own mother out. He mused, no matter how tempting it was. "You will not be dying any time soon."

She scoffed, abandoning the tears to glare at him,"OF COURSE NOT! NOT UNTIL I SEE THOSE PUPS!"

Does that mean she will die once she does? He thought, fingers tapping the desk as he contemplated it. Would he be so lucky?

"No I will not actually die." She countered, knowing her son.

He made a dissatisfied noise, "I am not depriving you of anything, mother dearest." he stated.

"Then why is Kaname not carrying any pup's yet?! You just don't want your own mother to be there to share!" she accused.

"She cannot carry my pups at the moment." He snapped, quieting his mother down and making Inu-kimi narrow her eye's at him.

"Still?" She said exasperated. "Sesshomaru, how haven't you found the solution yet?!"

Sesshomaru growled at her, not appreciating her tone, "We have found a solution." He reached towards the scroll Kaname had found and tossed it to his mother. "We just do not have the object we need yet."

Inu-kimi opened it, eye's scanning what was written, and she gave a very unladylike snort.

The lord decided that he did not want to deal with his lady mother any longer, so he had started to stand up so he could toss her out of the room. She must have had an inkling of what he was about to do, because she held up her hand with an amused smile.

"Peace son. I am merely amused because you've seemed to have stopped looking after this scroll. Which means you've not found the scroll detailing that your father had found a powerful enough artifact." She said with a raised brow.

Sesshomaru surged up, "Where?" he demanded.

Inu-kimi tsk'ed at him, "Hold on. First, tell me as to why you have not at least mated Kaname by now, even if you cannot have pup's. She would at least have the title of 'Lady of The West' to protect her and Rin from being attack." she pointed out. "At the moment it seems that a rumor is spreading that she is naught but a whore you are keeping around since you are taking quite a while to mate her."

Sesshomaru stared at his mother, contemplating her words (and silently seething at these rumors), before admitting the problem. "Even if I were to mate her, it would make no difference to the people if she isn't with child. They can still contest her mating towards me until she had birthed me an heir." he growled. If the lords learned about the difficulty Kaname is currently having when it come to bearing pup's, then they would deem her unsuitable no matter how powerful she was, and pressure him into taking a mistress to bear his pups instead.

That would not go over well with Kaname.

It would be all out war.

"Hmmm..." Inu-kimi hummed, smile growing devious, " you underestimate your mother Sesshomaru. I have the perfect plan and the solution you need!"

Sesshomaru stared at her. "Do you?" He questioned in doubt. It was far too convenient that his mother had what he needed.

She smirked triumphantly at him, "Who do you think it was that your father entrusted the Artifact to?" She then lifted her hand and tapped the necklace around her neck. "This necklace was what your father found, he stole it from a heavily guarded temple and searched for his miko after he gave it to me for safe keeping. Of course Touga had to seal it so I would not be hurt, and he did modify it for... a task he had entrusted to me, but it is still powerful enough to do what you need to."

"And what is it that you want?" He questioned, only to jerk back at how fast his mother leaned in, excitement gleaming in her eye's.

"All you have to do is let me see these pup's as much as I want." She very much wanted these pups to come to be.

"Very well," He agreed, "Now what do you have in mind?"

A head of raven hair paused in what she was doing, her eye's flitting about the room in contemplation. Someone is speaking of me again. She mused, wondering who it was as she didn't get a negative feeling. Inu-kimi? She did leave rather quickly this morning after I told her of father. She wondered what the female daiyoukai was talking about that had to do with her. Or it could be Kagome, or mother...maybe even Souta?...Well, unless it is Grandfather bragging to his friend about me again. She shrugged and continued what she was doing. "The snow really is getting heavier, isn't it?" Kaname mused as she combed Rin's hair, eyes flickering towards the window. The two were in Sesshomaru's and her owns shared bedroom, with Jaken standing guard outside the door. "Well, at least it's pretty."

Rin hummed in agreement, "It looks like papa's and Grandmother's hair."

"Indeed it does." Kaname smiled. "I bet mother would love it here." She sighed, before pausing and amending it, "Well, she would like the scenery, not so much the time period...Maybe." she muttered.

"Neh, Mama?"

"Hm?"

"Will Rin ever be able to go and see Grandmama?" She questioned, looking up towards Kaname's face in hope.

The miko paused in her movements, "Hmmm, well maybe. I...have a theory as to how it is that My Sesshomaru and I were able to cross the well, but it will have to be tested." she stated.

"Will Grandmama like Rin?"

She snorted, "My mother is already in love with you Rin. So is grandfather and Souta, they are all very eager to meet you. There was a reason why they sent those presents."

She fidgeted, "Rin knows that, and Rin is very happy with the gifts... but..."

Kaname put down the brush and waited patiently for her to continue.

"Well, what if they meet Rin and...and decide that they don't actually want Rin?"

The miko frowned at this, dragging Rin into her lap, and cuddled her. "Well, if such a thing were to ever happen- which I doubt with how my family is- then that is their lost. After all, your papa and I will always love you." she reassured.

Rin smiled brightly at this, she's never had an uncle or actual grandparents before. Her blood ones were long gone by the time Rin was born, her Grandparents on her mothers side having died of disease, and her Father had never known his own sires, having been abandoned at a young age. And as far as she knew, her mother and father had no siblings.

But now, now she had more family then just mama and papa, and she couldn't wait to meet them. And even if they didn't actually like her, she still had her mama and papa, so she was fine with that.

It was then that the door burst open, making the two girls look up and blink at the grinning Inu-kimi.

Kaname instantly went on guard, she did not like that smile. She had seen that smile on Souta plenty of times to know mischief was about to unfold.

"Kaname, darling, we need to talk~!" She trilled.

The miko wondered if it would be in bad taste to throw the mother of her lover out of the window.

She took it back.

Kaname was very glad she did not throw Inu-kimi out of the window.

"You are pleased." Sesshomaru noted, the two were laying in bed, the sun having set long ago. Kaname had been smiling ever since Inu-kimi had told her that she would be able to officially mate Sesshomaru by the end of the month. The daiyoukai would then cause an uproar that would allow the small pack to slip out of the castle unnoticed, allowing them to search for what they needed to have pups in (Semi-) peace. And seeing as Sesshomaru was notorious for staying hidden when he didn't want to be found, then they wouldn't have to put up with the lower lords raising a fuss about why Kaname didn't smell pregnant.

...Well, that and the fact that Sesshomaru wouldn't have to restrain himself when it came to the miko being a vixen.

"Just a few more weeks~" She sighed in content.

"...Your sires should be notified." He commented after a moment of silence.

"Ah...Yes, I should probably write a letter." She then snuggled into him more, "Tomorrow."

The Demon Lord stared at the Hyakki bat standing in front of him, the scroll in his hand put down to take the message from the bat.

...Tsukuyomaru? He wondered narrowing his eye's at the bat nervously shifting. What could the bat want with him? Granted his clan has been allied with the Hyakki bats for hundred's of years, but it was fairly rare for them to need anything from them. The young Hyakki lord was more social then his father (despite his duty of keeping their barrier up which kept him from going too far from his territory), but even then it had been a couple of years since he's heard from him. This is either social or something has happened. He mused while opened the message and quickly read it.

Well, it seemed Tsukuyomaru has fathered a Hanyou. But that wasn't the problem, the problem was that his father, Taigokumaru. It seems Tsukuyomaru has noticed a change in his father ever since Shiori- the hanyou- was born. He was being watched, studied by his father, and by his kin.

He feared his life was endangered, but had no proof that his father was going to do anything. Thus when word reached his home that Sesshomaru- Lord of the West, Hanyou and human despising demon- had announced his intent to mate a Miko, Tsukuyomaru had thought to reach out to him. The hope was that having the open support of Sesshomaru's would dissuade his kin from doing anything...drastic. And if not, then he would have someone on his side if he had to get rid of his father.

Sesshomaru had to admire the bat, prioritizing the safety of his pup and mate over his sire. It must have hurt quite a bit of his pride to have to reach out for help.

He sent the messenger to a guest room, informing him that he will come and help Tsukuyomaru with his problem. Having the (future) Hyakki lord owe him a favor would be stupid to pass up, it could come in handy at some point. Not to mention Sesshomaru didn't have a very high opinion of Taigokumaru, he had been getting reports of the bat's testing how far they could get into other territory's to feed. They hadn't crossed the line yet, but it was only a matter of time.

"Oya? Hyakki bat's?" Kaname mused thoughtfully, making sure that Rin had enough layers to stay warm, but not so much that it restricted her movements. "I do not think I have ever encountered one before. I know I have seen one briefly around the castle, but I haven never interacted with them."

"They are a fairly mild clan, rarely do they go out of their cave if it is not to feast or find a mate." Sesshomaru informed, "Hyakki bat's have strict criteria on where they decided to nest, and for that it is difficult for them to expand beyond where the current clans reside."

Rin perked up at this, excited about learning about new demons. "Why is it so hard for them, papa?"

Sesshomaru glanced at her, pausing in his decision on what he should chuck at Jaken for being late. "...It must be dark, near a steady food source, difficult for mortals to reach, easy to fly in and out of, and to have enough space for their vast numbers to be comfortable." He explained, deciding on a tea cup one of the lower lords had gifted him that he never liked. He didn't have an excuse to destroy it until now. Now all that was left was for Jaken to arrive. "It does not help that they prefer caverns and such to live in."

"Oh..." Rin hummed, "Hm...Why don't they build a home in the sky? Like yours papa?" she questioned.

"...They do not know how. An ancestor of mine was fairly adapt at magic and had discovered a way to levitate the castle, she had never deemed anyone worthy enough to pass the ability on to. No other demon has been able to replicate it so far."

Kaname rose her brows, "Not even the dragons?" at his denial she became very impressed, before smirking. "They must have been very...displeased with that."

"MY LORD!"

"Huh, for a moment there I thought he had died." Kaname muttered, earning a giggle from Rin.

The door burst open, revealing a panting Jaken, "MY LORD SESSHOMARU I HAVE CO-BLURGH?!" he was interrupted by Sesshomaru chucking the tea cup at his head, shattering it and flinging Jaken a few feet away.

"You have taken far too long, Jaken." Sesshomaru stated. "Are you so incompetent that harnessing A-Un proved too difficult of a task?"

"A-Ah n-no My Lord! I apologize, it is just that The Lady Inu-kimi seems very...insistent on accompanying us." Jaken stuttered. "Thus...The carriage needed to be prepared."

Kaname was sure that- if he wasn't above it- Sesshomaru groaned at the news. And while her lord looked stoically ahead, she could feel the spike in his youkai, along with the absolute irritation that his mother had just invited herself along.

He grunted, before ushering them to A-Un so they could leave.

"Ah~ Sesshomaru there you are~!" Inu-kimi called, waving at them from beside her carriage. Said carriage seemed to have been hooked up to a beast type feline. Looking next to Inu-kimi's carriage revealed another that had A-Un strapped in, the dragon didn't seem like he minded. In fact, he was happily purring as Inu-kimi scratched the chin of the left head, while the right was chewing on something. Probably being spoiled by the dog demon.

"Mother, I was not informed that you would be accompanying us." Sesshomaru stated.

Inu-kimi smirked, "Hm, is that so?" Was all she said before going into her carriage. "Come now, it is rude to keep one waiting!"

Kaname swore she saw his hand twitch.

"Come now my Sesshomaru, at least Inu-kimi will be there to help keep an eye on Rin so we need not have our attention divided." Kaname said as she snuggled closer to said demon, Sesshomaru's arm wrapped around Kaname's waist and pressing her into his side. Turned out the other carriage was for Sesshomaru and herself, his mother was not amused that Sesshomaru was going to just ride A-Un for an official meeting between allies.

It was just the two of them in this one, as the demoness had insisted that Rin ride with her, giving the excuse that she needed to educate Rin on how to act when meeting allies and such.

She was fooling no one. It was obvious that Rin had wormed her way into Inu-kimi's heart, and had gained her affection.

Kaname was very smug.

No one could resist her daughter's cuteness.

"These carriages take far too long." Sesshomaru huffed. He despised these things, had since he was a pup. It was too slow for his liking, this was one of the main reasons he had gotten A-Un, and why he walked everywhere.

Kaname hummed, "Well, at least it is warm, and..." she trailed off, "Well, I must admit to liking being so close to you." she smiled. "It's nice to have some time to ourselves without the risk of interruption from anyone."

He thought on it, and decided that she was right.

It was...relaxing. As much as he did love Rin, the pup had the strangest ability to interrupt them at the most frustrating of times.

Not to mention how often his subjects made it a point to keep him busy, thus leaving him no time to just relax with Kaname outside of their shared room.

…..Well... He glanced down at a content Kaname, Might as well take advantage of the peace while it lasts. He mused, closing his eye's and shifting the miko to be more comfortable.

A/N: Alright guy's, not sure how long the next chapter will take, seeing as I'll be spending as much time with my family as I can before my Nana has to leave.

So, happy holiday's/New years if I don't get it out on time.
