Chapter 21: Epilogue

20 Years Later...

I sighed as I stood next to Edward in front of our home in Forks. His hand gripped to mine as we just looked at it. The house was still the same old home we were reunited in all those years ago, but it feels as if we're coming here for the first time again.

As I share a look with my husband of almost twenty years now, I felt a small body grip to my legs.

"Momma? Daddy? Where are we?" Hayley asked as she looked around with her bright blue eyes, her small arms wrapped around my legs. I smiled at her as I picked her up in my arms.

"We're in a very special place," I told her, brushing a strand of loose light brown-red hair from her face.

"When are we going to see Nessie? And Emalie?" Hayley asked me as she held on tight to me. "I miss them."

"I miss them too angel," I replied as I brushed her hair. "She's around here somewhere angel, don't worry."

"Okay, Mommy," she said, smiling at me. I smiled back as I went to place our small daughter in Edward's arms.

As you can tell, a lot has happened since Renesmee left for college and we became leaders the new leaders of the vampire world. One thing's for sure though, our family has grown a lot.

When our family moved to Alaska, things were pretty normal. It was just a bit sad without Renesmee at first. I guess we soon got use to the idea and things seemed to return back to what they once were. The only exception is that I get to spend every waking moment with the one I loved, Edward. It's been pure bliss honestly.

Jacob and Renesmee would visit us each holiday and anytime they got the chance to, so it's wasn't too bad. Plus Renesmee is an adult and has been for almost a hundred years now. I know I shouldn't worry like this, but that's my job. I'm her mother, all I do is worry.

We did get to watch Emalie grow up and it's been one fun ride with her. I remember when she turned seven, it was weird not seeing the little girl who use to ask me to read to her or play princess. She is now a beautiful young girl who is madly in love with Seth. The moment she turned seven those two didn't take long to get together.

Emalie looks so much like our mother, but she has Rose's bright blue eyes still. Her hair is still a beautiful brown and everything about her reminds me so much of Renee mixed with Rosalie. Her silly behavior to her fierce nature.

"Mom!" Renesmee called out to me. I smiled as Hayley clung to Edward. She has met Renesmee a few times already, but she's still nervous to meet the rest of Renesmee's family.

Hayley is Edward and my's adoptive daughter. She is not even a year old yet and she's the size of a small four year old.

Since our family is head of all vampires here in the America's, we've had to deal with any vampire problems like newborn armies or the new rising problem of hybrids. Since the news about hybrids has gotten out, many mischievous male vampires like Hayley's father have been knocking up girls. We've been controlling it since we know who's out to cause trouble, but some like Hayley's dad slip.

Her mother was a beautiful young girl named Hayley as well. She was homeless and living on the street. A vampire had raped her sadly to create a hybrid. We were there to save her and end him before he could hurt anyone else, but sadly she didn't want to be a vampire and died giving birth to Hayley.

Our little Hayley formed an instant attachment to us. We considered finding a vampire couple who wanted children to adopt her, but from the moment she was brought into this planet we have loved her like our very own. She had Edward and I wrapped around her tiny finger, so it only took us about a few days to take her in as our own.

I didn't feel guilty about adopting her since the others were all okay with it. I knew Alice was just content being an aunt along with Jasper, and Esme and Carlisle were just happy being grandparents at this point. Hayley loves her grandparents a lot though and spends a lot of time with Esme and Carlisle anyway. We made her full name Hayley Eliza Cullen, after her mother and Edward's birth mother since her birth mother never requested a name.

From there we have been raising Hayley at our home in Alaska. We might move out to Forks though since we want Hayley to be raised near her sister and cousin. We think it could be a nice change anyway.

The Denali's also have become much closer to our family since we moved to Alaska. In fact they even moved next door to us due to the fact George wanted to be near his sister.

About two years after our wedding George married Tanya and was changed into a vampire. Rose loves it since her brothers can be with her forever now, well maybe not Brandon, but she can have them in her life for a long time.

Brandon and Leah got married a little bit after our wedding as well and they have two sons that are shape shifters here in La Push. There's Henry jr. and Eric. Henry looks the most like his mother with his black hair and brown eyes while Eric looks like his father with his blonde hair and blue eyes.

Henry Hale, Rosalie's dad, also lives around here still as well. He's in his sixties now and doing mighty fine. He just retired and now's he's settled down with his girlfriend of three years. I know Rose and Emmett take a lot of weekend trips with George and Tanya now since their family is all in Forks.

"Hey baby!" I greeted Renesmee as she came dashing over to me with a smile.

Since Renesmee's graduated college, she's moved back to Forks with Jacob and they got married. It was one of the most emotional days of my life, but I'm so happy that my daughter is happy and in love now.

Renesmee majored in music and got her doctor's degree, so she's become the official doctor at La Push. They needed one and Renesmee loves to help out with any sort of problem. Jacob did major in mechanics and opened a garage in Forks.

A year after Renesmee and Jacob got married, she finally got pregnant and nine months later she gave birth to my very first grand child, Isabel Sarah "Izzy" Black. She has Renesmee's bronze curls and the McCarty brown eyes. She's part vampire, making her a hybrid like her mother. I was so touched that they named her after me and I stayed with them for a month with Edward after she was born. I couldn't get enough of my granddaughter, but at the same time I would let Renesmee handle everything since she wanted to do it. I knew how much being a mother meant to her. In fact they went on to have three more.

Izzy is now physically seventeen since she's stopped growing. She's technically fifteen years old and she plans to go to college soon. She reminds me a lot of my daughter and has a lot of the McCarty traits.

The one thing about Izzy is that as two years ago Henry Jr, or H as we like to call him, imprinted on her. It was a big shock to the entire family. Jacob almost went after the poor boy, but stopped because he knew how the bond was since he imprinted on Renesmee, so he learned to tolerate it.

Izzy and H are both in love now and plan to go to college together in California. It'll be a nice change for the two.

A year after Izzy was born, they had Edward William "Eddie" Black about a year later. He looks just like Edward, which is the scary thing, except with Renesmee's face. He has bronze hair like his sister, but bright green eyes. He is a shapeshifter, so he's physically fourteen years old.

After Eddie was Roan Emmett Black, a shape shifter as well. He looks like Jacob with his black hair, rustic skin, and brown eyes. He was born two years after Eddie and is twelve now. He just shape shifted and is trying to get a hold of his ability at the moment.

And lastly, the smallest of them all, is Jasmine Alice Black. She has brown hair like mine and brown eyes that are like Jacob's deceased mother, Sarah. She is only three, so Renesmee just had her recently. It might be their last though since Jasmine was born premature. She gave the whole family quite a scare, but thankfully she's alright now. She's the tiniest little thing in the world though.

Besides Renesmee and Jacob building a life out here, Emalie and Seth have began to build one as well.

Emalie and Seth did move out when she was around fourteen years old, physically eighteen. They decided to travel the world from there. They were gone for a year and when that happened they decided to get married. They couldn't wait to be married, so the moment Emalie said yes they had Carlisle marry them on the front steps of our home in Alaska that January. It was in the midst of a snow storm, but they didn't care.

From there they moved to Forks with Renesmee and Jacob. They both built homes across the street from each other in La Push. They aren't too far from the beach and it's a nice little secluded area for them to grow up and call home for forever.

When Emalie was sixteen she had her first child, Susan Rosalie Clearwater. She is a hybrid and already five years old, so she's physically and mentally about fifteen now. She looks a combination of Emalie and Seth. She has black hair like her father, but her mother's blue eyes. Susan has become best friends with Izzy and for the longest time they've become two peas in a pod.

After Susan, Emalie had Harry Emmett Clearwater. He looks the most like Seth with his brown eyes and rustic skin, but he has Emalie's dark brown hair. We believe he's a shape shifter, but we're not entirely sure since he's only four years old.

Then recently Emalie and Seth just welcomed their third child into this world, Ava Leah Clearwater. She looks the most like Emalie with her brown hair and pale skin, but she has Seth's brown eyes. We think she's a hybrid, but we could be wrong. She is still only a baby and her diet does consist of blood so she's most likely a hybrid.

"How are you?" I asked Renesmee as she hugged me gently.

"I'm great! The kids miss you, I missed you, even Jake missed you! It's just so great to see you again," Renesmee gushed, sighing in content as we pulled away.

"I missed you too angel," I said to her, brushing some of her hair. Sometimes I can still see that little girl looking at me all those years ago.

We both smiled as we hugged once again. When we pulled apart Renesmee then went to go hug Edward.

"Hey Daddy," She greeted him with a side hug since he was holding Hayley.

"Hey baby," He said as he kissed her forehead and wrapped an arm around her to give her a squeeze. When they pulled away Renesmee looked fondly at her baby sister in Edward's arms.

"Oh why hello there Hayley girl. How are you sis?" She asked as she swung Hayley up in her arms. Hayley giggled as she gripped tight to Renesmee.

"Hey older sis!" Hayley exclaimed as Renesmee swung her around.

"My kids are dying to meet you! They're so excited," Renesmee said to Hayley, kissing her cheeks. "Come on sweetie."

I smiled as I took Edward's hand and we followed Renesmee and Hayley towards her home with Jacob. It was located right on the La Push shore next to Emalie and Seth's home. We built them for the families right after Izzy was born. They formed a cul-de-sac almost with their house, Emalie and Seth's home, and Leah and Brandon's home. They're about two miles away from our old home, but it's a really quick run.

When we get there we are greeted by the whole family is seems. Everyone was here, including Carlisle, Esme, Rose, Emmett, Jazz, and Alice.

"Grandma Bella!" Jasmine exclaimed as came running towards me. Sadly Jasmine has my klutzy tendencies, so whenever she runs a lot of us get a slight panic that she might fall.

"Hey sweetheart," I said, coming closer as she falls into my arms. I chuckle as I hug my little granddaughter.

"Grandma Bella!" Izzy, Eddie, and Roan exclaimed as they come closer to me. I share a smile with Edward as we go to greet our grandchildren. Each one seemed to have grown up since the last time we've seen them and it makes me miss them more and more everyday.

"Hey there Aunt Bella," Emalie greeted me with a big smile. I couldn't help but smile seeing my niece. She was so much grown up. Like Renesmee, I still see a small little girl in her eyes every time I look at her.

"Hey there my little princess," I said as I greet her with a large hug. "Long time no see."

"Yeah," She agreed, hugging tighter to me.

"Hey Baby Bell, there you and Eddie boy are!" Emmett exclaimed, coming over to wrap his arms around Emalie and I. "We have a family reunion to get on!"

Emalie, Rose, and I all laugh as Emmett goes dancing across and bumps into Jasper. He just growls at his brother as he gives Em a playfully smack upside the head. Those two have become thick as thieves over the years. They both needed a partner in crime it seems. Of course when it comes to pranks it's always us as a trio, pranking everyone in the family.

Later on that day we all went to La Push with one another. Susan, Ava, Jasmine, and Hayley were all playing together while Izzy and Henry Jr. were walking down the beach together with their hands intwined. Roan, Eddie, Eric, and Harry were all playing soccer with Jacob and Seth. Meanwhile the rest of us were standing on the beginning of the beach, watching the sun set. It was really pretty night here in Forks.

"You know, we might move the headquarters back to Forks," Carlisle announced to us as he pulled Esme closer to him. "Thought maybe coming back here might be nice since all the kids are down here."

"Tanya and the others might even join us due to George's family. We've been Alaska for nearly twenty years now and the Denali's have been their for centuries. We all deserve a nice change," Esme added, smiling towards the sun.

"Well, Bella and I have actually been thinking about moving here since we want Hayley to be closer to her sister and the rest of the family," Edward said chuckling as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Oh! Emmy and I really missed you guys! This is wonderful!" Renesmee sighed as she wrapped an arm around Emalie.

"Yeah. We've really missed you all, and it's much warmer here in Forks compared to Alaska." Emalie giggled as Renesmee squeezed her in a hug.

"Well we missed you too," Rosalie said, smiling as she kissed Emalie's cheeks.

"Come on ladies, time to join the kiddos," Jacob said as he snaked around to grab Renesmee and swing her over his shoulders.

"Jacob!" Renesmee giggled as he dragged her to the water.

"And of course I won't forget you dear Emmy lou," Seth said as he threw Emalie around his torso. She rolled her eyes as they all went splashing into the waves.

I sighed in content as I leant back into Edward's chest and watched them all play.

"Who would've thought this all would have happened to us," Jasper mused as he pulled Alice into a side hug and kissed her cheek, causing her to giggle. "To think, if Maggie and them didn't tell us about Emalie, we wouldn't be here right now."

"We wouldn't be a family," Alice added.

I smiled as I looked at Edward, then Emmett, and finally the rest of my family.

"You guys are really a great family, not to sound cheesy and what not." Rosalie giggled as Emmett scooped her up in his arms. "It's been a great twenty years with all of you."

"It has. Life really has been great to us," I said as we all went back to looking at the sunset.

"I love you Bella," Edward whispered into my ear as he placed a kiss on my cheek, wrapping his arms tight around me.

"Love you too, Edward," I replied as I turned around to give him a kiss. "For the rest of forever."

Life is crazy. There always will be some sort of bump in the road. I've been alive for almost one hundred years and in my one hundred years I've learned a lot. I learned that nothing is ever easy, love is forever, and family is always.

No matter what happens in my life I know that my family will be by my side, forever.
