Child of the moon
Going to school was a different experience for selene. She was so used to being in the forest. In the wild. So the sudden transition to civilization did not fully register until after her first few days. The loss of her enhanced vitality. She started to feel lethargic, sluggish and tired.
The only reason that she had not had a major panic attack was due to her mind being kept busy due to all of the many classes that she had to go to. It did not stop her from being uncomfortable though. As she did draw a lot of looks from the boys as like her mother she was very pretty. She was aware of this but when you grow up in the hunt dating prospects do not cross one's mind.
The classes that she had to attend were interesting. She had your standard defence, charms, and transfiguration magics. Things that she had been told about by the daughters of hekate as being the workhorses of the 'magical' world. Potions were interesting in the many things it could cure rather than having to rely on ambrosia all the time. As good as the godly cure was it had its dangers if there was a different cure that could be used….
Other than those there were a lot of others on offer but only some were accessible to the first years. No maj studies a course designed for those of long lines to be able to fit into the mundane world. Magical traditions, a class to teach those of non magical or returning to, the traditions of the world.
The classes themselves were not that hard. Well they were for her, with her ADHD and longing for the wild, she had a hard time paying attention, but apparently lady hekate had explained to the professors about the problems she might face, so each of the professors used their own unique ways to keep their classes interesting and engaging.
The Potions class using demonstrations of potions brewed well and badly. History of magic had the students doing the reading of the subject matter chosen at random and so on.
It was at the end of the week that she began to get nervous. Flying lessons. She was going to be in flying lessons. Would lord zeus allow her to enter his domain? Demi-gods were not usually allowed to do such and while she might be one of his legacies it was from many years ago.
So with trepidation she went to Lady hekate. Who at the moment was her guardian. As she was within the domain of magic.
There were very few occasions when any actual panics happened. The flying classes were cleared with a pass from Zeus as he hand waved it as she was a legacy only if she did not push it. Other than that the only real problem was when she had a panic attack about a month in when at the school quidditch pitch she was caught in a crush surrounded by males.
Selene had almost pulled one of her blades at that point on reflex if Lady hekate had not sensed her powers fluctuating in an erratic manner. And came and pulled her from the situation. They had since been working her up to such social situations as they did not want her to stab someone in a fit of panic.
Overall she was enjoying her time but could not wait to return to her mother. Soon enough she would be back in her comfort zone within the woodlands, and under the glow of her mother's chariot. She would be with her sisters and she would be able to tell stories about her time around the fire. She was just happy she had learned how to shadow travel, The ability would take her right to the hunter camp for the holiday break.

The Potter home was in a shocked silence. Lily had returned looking like a ghost and immediately put a woman that she had brought with her into one of the long disused cells that the manor had and then went to the master room. What worried them was the lack of response from her for several days. She was totally unresponsive. Broken.
It took their daughter to bring her out of the state that she was in. Even then she was not entirely herself. She had a dead and dejected look in her eyes. "Love, what's wrong?" The question came from her husband prompting an unknown emotion to rise into the emeralds that were her eyes.
"We forgot him" lily whispered in a self hating tone so quietly that James had to lean in to hear it. " We forgot our son" This caused James to be confused. Evan was down the stairs with his sister. Seeing his confused face lily answered the unspoken question. "Harry, Evans brother, we forgot about him." she said quietly with an air of defeat.
"Is that why you have locked yourself in here for the last few days?" James asked gently, feeling how devastated his wife was about the situation. The response he got was a shake of her head. "He was abandoned in a forest somewhere, after being abused by my own sister." After that she broke down again.
To say that James was feeling guilty was an understatement, It was him who had convinced lily that it would be for the best. They could not detect any magic in Harry's core, the attack had seemingly rendered him a squib so it had seemed the best idea at the time to let him grow up in the muggle world and learn, to have what would be a normal life for him.
For him to grow surrounded by what he could never be able to have, for him to grow surrounded by magic without the ability to do such had seemed like a recipe for resentment. The headmaster had also agreed with such and raised other valuable points.
The death eaters would possibly be attacking with the death of their lord and Harry having no magic could not defend himself. Then there was the fame and prestige his brother had gained by being the vanquisher of the dark lord.
All of them had seemed valid at the time but as time went on became less and less so. And as time went on Harry had become less than a flicker of a memory. Then their Daughter Ivy had come and any argument other than him being a squib had been rendered moot. As they had found ways around them. They had done what all parents do, they muddle through. Now even the squib excuse was gone as the hogwarts letter proved that he had magic. Otherwise they would not have received it.
Now James was faced with a set of unique problems as Lord potter. He had a magical son out in the world and he had no idea where. He had some clues, he also had the problem of the fact that it has been over ten years since he has seen Harry.
Well as they say one step at a time, and that first step was with petunia and to find out what the hell caused his wife to almost go catatonic!
