Child of the moon

Christmass, a holiday that was not celebrated for its religious reasons but for the family reasons. The gathering of family for the celebration, for this one time while the young were there the gods put aside their grudges and differences and held a feast in an attempt to mend old wounds.

To say that Lady hestia was happy at the attempts of her family to reconcile was an understatement. She was practically glowing. True they still had their occasional spats they were related to each other, but the easing of tensions had begun.

It was while celebrating one of these with the hunt that celene was given her own bow from her mother. She had just arrived back from her school and had just finished with her story about what she had been learning while they were both official and unofficial. Selene also mentioned about her learning from the grimoire to supplement her scholarly learning.

The hunt was amused at how excited their little sister was with her tale, though the fact that she was affected so severely by the loss of the blessing was shocking. To be fair though she had been raised under its effects never knowing a like without the blessing of the wild. She would be affected worse than most. It would also mean that she would gain more benefits from it.

It was good to hear that the lady of the crossroads was helping their little lady when she was having trouble and taking steps to solve the issues. This had been the worry for most of the girls. As she had never been out in the world she did not know how to cope with some of the things that she would encounter. Thankfully the patron of magic was helping.

Artemis herself had been able to calm down the second her daughter was within her arms, stoking that soft crimson hair, she laid a soft kiss on her daughter's head and allowed her to see her sisters. She had been worrying about her beautiful girl, she knew that she needed to do this but would rather not to. So using her connection to wildlife she had them keep an eye on out for her. As she watched her girl run up to Zoe and hug her tightly before going to greet the rest of the girls her world was right. At Least for a few days she had her little girl back.

The Potters and Dumbledore had been trying every way imaginable to try and find their son. They had been using blood rituals to try and connect to him via the blood connection, they had used hairs left in his room to try a summoning ritual. Most of the magics that they tried were classed as illegal.

It got to the point that the small family would have no idea of what to do other than to wait for him to show at hogwarts. They at least knew he was alive as his name was on the roster and it did not have any addendums.

It would not be a couple of years till Albus remembered to check the ICW records for any information on him.

It was not long before selene was heading back to school, thus leading to the start of a couple of years of her enjoying her time there. Her social issues getting solved, along with learning how to use her gifts Selene enjoyed her time however it all came to an end when during one of the breaks at the school while she was sitting talking with friends out of the woods came the hunt.

"Selene," her mother said. Slowly she stood up as she had been able to keep her cover of being the demi-god for her entire time. Now however it seems it was over. Walking over to the hunt she looked at her mother artemis. "Yes mother?" she asked slightly timidly. "I am sorry for this but I require your aid, so does father." This caused her to nod in understanding.

Selene moved to the nearest shadow and quickly sank into it retrieving her equipment. From her room and returned. "Ready mother." she said with a smile and so it was that they took off at speed.

This caused the shocked students to turn to their head mistress who just smirked "well i guess i don't need to say who the demigod is now do i? Yes that was the hunt so be careful what you say as selene has been noted to always have a knife on her at all times" and with that the goddess of magic turned and walked away from the shocked crowd.
