Fairy Tail Minus One Chapter 18:Encroaching Darkness

Crocus, Fiore
3 days had passed since the defeat in the hands of the old generation. While I was successful in defeated Altas Flames, my friends failed to surpass their masters and we all lost because we didn't fight as a team.. My Enchantment magic wasn't nearly strong enough to back myself and my team at the same time, my mother was a mighty warrior but didn't know enchantment but she had dad there who always assisted her and the army, now I have to pick up the responsibility by myself and master both swordsmanship and Enchantment Magic so I can carry the world to a new era.
I was at the castle of Mericiclius within Fiore resting after the battle against Altas Flames. MY Distant Cousin Sarbe's royal family occupied this massive castle since the birth of the country roughly the same time Dragonv was the center of the city lies Castle Island, an Artificial Island created with an artificial lake created with the two rivers. The 14.36 Sqaure Kilometer Island is separated by 200-meter wide river moats and only accessible by a bridge within the North and a bridge within the castle is a ringed wall covering the Diameter of the Island with 200 meter high walls about 83 meters wide and covering the whole perimeter of the Island, Around Mercuilus is a park known as Mercilius Royal Garden, a 205 Arce Garden surrounding the castle where the most exotic and beautiful flowers are kept.
Merriclius itself is a massive castle that towers over 2000m high via the large 242meter wide and 947-meter high tower at the center. The Castle is and is 1,300 m wide and Long with the height without the tower being 950m high. The massive castle has floors averaging 30 meters to accomdle Dragons in an era of Human and Dragons separated by 3 meters of solid concrete and marble between each floor. Mercfilius has a total of 20 Dragon stories meant to fit dragons and 63 human stories with over thousands of rooms for royal families to stay in.
The massive 237 Million ton castle was created to be sturdy, capable of surviving even Dragon Attacks. The castle took 40 years to build with the total cost of the castle equalling 712 Billion Jewels to construct the castle. Mercurius is an extremely large and tall building, appearing as one of the most visible elements in the valley where Crocus is located, and towering over all of the city's other buildings, with even the Domus Flau located outside paling in its comparison. As evidence of its role as the King's residence, Mercurius is a very intricately decorated and designed castle. The place appears to consist of many different, yet uniform buildings fused, with some sections protruding outwards and assuming particular forms, and the walls being mainly adorned by orders of large, rectangular windows lined up and flanked by protruding pillars. Its main entrance seems to be a mildly small door topped by a very high decorative arc, which gets pointed near its top and has its central part adorned by a large, round flower window. To its left is a section keeping its height, topped by another going up high, which possesses a pitched roof, and behind which appears to be a structure reminiscent of ancient Gaerican and Crocusan temples, being highly similar to the real Parthenon, near which, to its upper right, sits apart ending in a small dome, topped by a prominent spire; two towers, possessing approximately the same height as the spire, are located on the back and right parts of the building. To the entrance's right, several meters away from it, the building takes on an arched form, with such part being reminiscent of a cylinder partially fused with the structure, soared above by a mildly small spire, almost placed in the back part of the building. Topping the entire castle is a high, round tower, with its lower part, much more massive than the one above it, being adorned by elongated windows and ending in a dome, from which the thinner, top part appears and goes up several meters before ending in a pointed tiled roof.
Mercurius is surrounded by a lush garden, which, much like the rest of the city, is adorned by a large amount of flowers, possessing flowerbeds and, in addition, artistically arranged plants and small, tidy hedges, which have square, hollow spaces on their edges, housing ornately decorated street lamps, with wavy poles ending in large orbs, with circular objects surrounding them, seemingly floating. The streets there are adorned by mosaics, which consist of a variety of small, flat rectangular stones arranged to resemble semicircles. In front of the palace sits a fountain, surrounded by a ground-level, round and shallow pool; water jets jut upwards from both the fountain and the pool, with the former also housing some plants, or possibly statues of plants, on its base.
"Man this place is massive !" I said to my cousin.
"You said that so many times already!" Sabre replied.
"It;'s just that I didn't know this castle had an underground interior too." I said to my cousin as I looked around the castle ground.
"That's because no one but the royal elites knows about this location for good reason. In case of war and we're trapped in the castle, we can flee into the underground kingdom of the palace. With the underground kingdom being hundreds of meters below sea level, we're safe from most attacks such as Dragon blasts." Sabre explained to me about Crocus equivalent to a bomb shelter.
"You mean the Dragonpolis under Crocus itself?" I asked her.
"Yes, we also send the worst criminals to a sealed-off Underground part of the city where they're hunted down and executed by our elite assassination force, the Garou Knights. Usually, those who committed treason or serious crimes against the kingdom. It would also be this area you're going to fight your cousin in as part of your test with Enchantment magic."
"I see, I heard about my cousin Jacob from the Knightwalker family, one of the most powerful Support mages in the world." I said to my cousin, I heard about Jacob's legendary prowess as an Enchantment mage.
"Yeah but he's well, not exactly the most pleasant person to be around. He has a nasty reputation as a Mercenary." Sabre answered as she walked down the corridor of the ancient ruins.
"What you mean he has a bad reputation? He's a Kinghtwalker, why is his reputation so bad?" I asked my cousin.
"He's known to be a very cruel man. He mistreats commoners, as well as his men and cleary, takes advantage of his privilege." Sabre explained to me sounding anguished of my cousin's actions.
"That can't be right, he's the head of the knight walker Family, he should be following the traditions of Chivalry."
"Yeah, but after your father's death, the Knight walker family struggled with economic hardships, especially with the mismanagement under your father's Uncle who was killed in the raid against Serenity to rescue hostages from Bosco captured by Serenity Zentopians, since then Jacob hasn't been the same."
"I wasn't aware this all happened, it's been years since I visited the Knightwalker Mansion in Bosco. I've been too busy trying to become the true queen of dragons. Still, the way he treats others isn't excusable regardless of the pain he's suffered. " I said to my cousin condemning my cousin's actions towards people.
We arrived at the lowest level of the castle, A sealed off part of the Underground city that's used by the Gauro Knights to hunt down criminals, it was the size of 1,000 acres containing mud and clay built houses existing for thousands of years. It was there I met my distant cousin, he was a young man with short blonde hair and wore clothing befitting of a prince.
"Queen" of dragons, nice to meet you!" my cousin said to me with a regal stoic tone.
"Likewise head of the Knightwalker Household!" I replied to him.
"So where's your army, I thought we're going to do a mock battle of Enchantment!" I asked my cousin wondering where are his soldiers.
"About that, they're currently deployed in Middle Earthland and won't be back for at least a month. Besides did you froget already what our Cousin can do?" Jacob answered as I remembered what my cousin can do.
"Arc of Embodiment: Phantom Soldiers" Sabre chanted as she used her magic to create 10 magical soldiers for both me and Jacob.
"The Legendary Illusion magic Arc of Embodiment is a form of Lost Magic that allows the caster to materialize, and subsequently use to their every whim, anything they can imagine. Any of their creations give them great versatility both in and out of combat. They can range anywhere from everyday objects and weapons. it's the magic that allowed for the Fiore Family to rise in the first place and founded this great Nation, it's magically guarded in serect for over 600 years." Sabre explained to me the magical power of the Fiore Royal Family that we're able to keep their country secure due to the royal family's unique and serect magical arts protected by the family.
"Man it's all so lifelike, you're saying you can make whatever in your head real?" I asked her.
"The magic is considered Lost because we kept it serect from everyone else, if another nation or another Royal Family processed knowledge of this spell, it could upset the balance of power within our alliance and throw Fiore and all of Isghal into complete chaos.
"Man that's one hell of magic, also what are we doing?" I asked my cousin.
"The rules are simple, you and I fight each other while enchanting our entire armies, whoever has the most forces standing or manages to eliminate the entire team loses."Sabre answered as she gained her distance between me and Jacob.
"I see!"I replied as I was ready to duel.
"I warn you cousin, I won't hold anything back from you, you best prepare yourself!" Jacob replied as he and my forces were ready to face off
We were staring each other down ready to battle, the illusions looked so lifelike that it looks like I was commanding a small army of troops.
"Archer, Fire !" I commanded the Archer, in a second the archer took out 4 arrows and fired them, he took out 4 more arrows in rapid succession, in 10 seconds, he fired 20 arrows that were raining down on the soldiers
"Vernier!" Jacob countered as he enhanced his speed to dodge the arrows along with his soldiers with each arrow missing their mark." Arms, Lancer attack" Jacob commanded as a Lancer enhanced with striking Enchantments and speed Enchantments came towards one of my knights
"Arms!" I chanted as I used my enchantment to enchant my kinght to be strong enough to block the charge of the horsebound kinght with his lance with the collision creating a shockwave.
"Arms, Armor, and Veirnr" both of us chanted at the same time as we both enchanted our soldiers at the same time.
The forces clashed evenly with each other for 30 minutes, blades clashed with blades, fist clashed with fists, the battle felt as real and any battle despite the soldiers all being illusions, however, while I was distracted by the realism of the battle itself, I didn't realize the difference between myself and Jacob. At first, it seemed me and I and Jacob were evenly matched in Enchantment, in reality, it wasn' the case. I was starting to exhaust myself greatly keeping 10 soldiers enchanted to their fullest whereas Jacob wasn't even breaking a sweat using his spells. It was then he got bored and yawned.
"Hey, how rude, don't take me so lightly!" I shouted at him as I dashed at Jacob moving at breakneck speeds.
"Don't blame me for this boring battle, you just suck at this cousin!" Jacob replied with a mocking tone as he evaded a strike from me by just a few inches from a sword I summoned to strike him. I went to attack him again however he kept evading my attacks.
"You're too predictable cousin, fatal mistake Ira Dei (Latin for God's Warth)" Jacob chanted as he connected his right hook to my face and launched me through several ancient building ruins
"What was that?" I asked shocked that he was able to easily predict my moves and follow with a strong enchantment punch.
"As I said, this battle is boring, this is even more boring than watching grass grow, you sure you're related to my great Uncle?" Jacob mocked, which made me angry.
"THAT DOES IT! DEUS MAXIMUMS!" I Shouted furiously as I came at him with my attacks moving at much faster speeds than before.
"Heavens Eye+Pedes Noctis Lucis(Latin for Lightning Foot)" Jacob countered as he used the enchantments to evade every single attack I threw at him, he was moving so fast, i couldn't even register when he was in front of me or when he was behind me. It made no sense, we were damn near equal in speed so why couldn't I catch him? Desperate, i waited for him to attack. I saw him coming close to attacking me where i went form my attack as I enchanted the ground below him
"Explosion!" I chanted as I thought I got him, however, my cousin proved to be too fast to catch, all I did was cover the battlfeild in smoke Jacob evades with the battlefield covered in smoke. I saw him coming from the smoke with his rapier aiming towards me and shot a blast towards him"Lightning Spark" I chanted as I shot a massive blast of Lightning from my the palm of my hand.
"Deus Bulla(Latin for God's Bubble)"Jacob countered as he used a bubble-like element to protect him from the blast.
It was then I noticed my forces were starting to get overwhelmed heavily in the battle, they were becoming slower and weaker whereas he remained strong. I had to end it here, I took my normal sword and went to use my strongest sword technique but first a boost in power.
"Elemental resistances rise! Physical ability rise! Agility rise! Deus Corona+ Deus Eques+Deus Pes(God's Foot)" I chanted as I increased all my soldier's states by 5 times, however, it was taking a toll on me, I could barely stand, using Deu Maxius to evade my cousin's attacks.
"Out of power already cousin?" Jacob asked mocking me with his tone.
"Hardly, Dividing Mountain Blade." I chanted as I tried to take out Jacob and trying to take out Jacob and his forces with a powerful slash wave however he was waiting for me to do that.
"Deus Bulla(Latin for God's Bubble)"Jacob countered as he uses it on his forces, protecting them from my attack.
"What?" I said shocked he predicted my attack and countered it, even more, shocking he can use such a high-level enchantment on so many people.
"You surely didn't think that Enchantment was just for yourself wasn't it? What I process is mastery of Enchantment magic to the degree I can preform 3 High Enchantment spells at once without breaking a sweat. You might be more powerful than me, however, your form is sloppy and lacking discipline, you recklessly charged at me, felt for my taunts and burned up your magical power, if you can't handle your cousin, what thinks you can fight the war." Jacob explained to me my major shortcomings when it comes to using my power.
" I'll make you eat those words." I shouted as I prepare to attack him.
"Playtime is over! Pedes Notics Luis+Ira Del+Deus Bulla" Jacob chanted as all his forces were given a 10 fold boost in power.
Seconds passed, in that short time, My forces struggled to keep up with Jacob's forces who were now twice as powerful as my forces, I was running low on power, I had to act fast.
"Fireball Blitz!" I chanted as I shot a fireball blast at him however his water shield tanked the blast. I followed up with an attack from behind "Braveheart!" I chanted as I want to go attack him however Jacob moved a soldier in his way and the embodiment was cut in half "What?"I said shocked as I saw my cousin sacrifice his men to protect him.
"Deus Zero" Jacob countered as he used my shock to completely negated my forces Enchantments, returning them to normal and returning me to the normal.
"You bastard, you used your soldiers as shields!" I shouted at him.
"What does it matter if i did, they're just Embodiment illusions, not like they have family they miss" Jacob replied coldly to me.
"UNFORGIVABLE! TREATING YOUR COMRADES LIKE THAT!" I shouted as I tried to enchant my soldiers but they were all easily defeated. I was then surrounded by 10 soldiers, I was severely exhausted from using Deus Maximus being put at my limit."So what, I can take on 10 of your soldiers even without my sword, they're just normal captain level Knights." I said to my cousin, I can easily take these enchantments.
"True, even with your condition they won't be that good against you, however, if were to cast, this would make them much more powerful! Berserker" Jacob replied as he enchanted all the soldiers around him.
All 10 soldiers turned into mindless berserkers. their body takes on a monstrous form, especially their face: flames pour forth from atop their heads, their teeth become fang-like, and their upper faces become shadowed out, with only their eyes being visible as gleaming rounds. The roared like beasts and all glared at me.
"Normally I would restrict the extent of this spell fearing they would attack me in response or they might destroy a whole town however against you and in the area we're fighting in, I can use this spell to the full extent of its power." Jacob said to be confident that he had me there.
I struggled to fight off the beserkers, one charge towards me with their massive tree trunk sized fist aimed at my skill which I barely blocked with my sword, I followed with an Enchantment enhanced punch punching one into a wall.
"Fireball Bitlz!" I chanted as Ii hit 3 of the Beserkers with a large fireball knocking them away" Lightning Spark" I chanted as I shot a massive blast of Lightning at them with my left palm stoping 4 f them from attacking me from behind, I then used my Hosgikaki Satsuki on the final 3 "Dividing Mountain!" I chanted as I took them all out with a crescent slash wave.
However much to my horror, the Beserkers got back up, despite being injured with burned flesh, broken bones and even their heads snapped a full 180, they regenerated from their wounds and looked even more beastly.
"Nice try Irene, but these creatures can regenerate from their wounds and shrug off the pain as their pain tolerance is massively increased." Jacob bragged as one of these creatures kicked me straight in the gut.
"UGH!" I gasped as I felt the wind leave my body as I was knocked into a wall, I struggled to get up, just one kick almost broke me in half, I felt blood come out of my mouth, these Beskerers were hitting as hard as Dragons.
"The legendary Berserker chant is an Advanced Enchantment that can turn the tide of war itself, Uncle Charles once used this mighty spell to enhance an entire Ballation of Dragons outnumbered 10 to 1 during the battle of Khangora, a battle that changed the course of the Frist Dragon War. This spell was protected by the Kinghtwealker family for generations, only a true master of Ehcantment could ever hope to use it. Such a legendary spell could turn the tide of any battle" Jacob explained to me about the Beskerer spell.
"At the cost of using them as puppets? Father had to be desperate to use something like this." I said to my cousin having nothing but disgusts by enchantments of this caliber.
"Wake up Irene, you think there's honor in war? The tales of Chivlairy are greatly exaggerated, in war, it's every man for themselves. Do you think the Dark Dragon Tribe cares about Chivalry? They care only about winning hence you must win at all cost." Jacob shouted at me, lecturing me that war wasn't about honor
"Not in this way... Saracifing your comrades, that's not how we do things in my Kingdom." I replied defiantly as I struggled to block the creature's blows.
"So what, you're going to do when war comes? When you're outnumbered when your forces are outmatched? Are you going to rely on your morales and kindness or are you going to think particularly and use whatever it takes to win? Your sword can only get you so far when up against 100 dragons." Jacob said to me giving me a dose of reality that I couldn't argue against.
"Fine you have a point, but i hate this spell, turning comrades into mindless beasts, it disgusts me...That's all the more reason I plan to surpass even this Enchantment and create an Ehcantment that doesn't sacrifice my comrade's humanity to win wars." I said back to my Cousin as a revived resolve appeared and I went full power.
I cut down all the Beserkers moving at top speed and took them all out. I was deeply exhausted with my powerful slashes across of them, cutting them all in half, I struggled to stand as I breathed heavily, struggling to move
"Guess you're still standing, surprising, to take out all my guess I have to end this myself." Jacob said to me as he raised his hands and powered himself up ."Berserker!"
"YOU CAN USE IT ON YOURSELF?" I said horrified as he looked much like them but not nearly as mindless. Before I knew it, he was right behind me and inched with a punch which, send me flying several cavern walls, I went through multiple building ruins before I hit a large enough rock formation to break my fall but I felt my backache, I could barely stand.
In a flash, he appeared right in front of me before I realized it and grabbed me by my neck.
"Fool, you dropped your guard, not good at all, if this was a real battle, i could've easily killed you already. you burned through your magical energy so fast that you've left yourself vulnerable." Jacob said to me as he squeezed my neck.
"I never knew you were so strong" I said to my cousin.
"Strong, i hardly consider myself strong, my two younger cousins have long surpassed me in magical power and even in Echnatment skills. Had not for your burning up of magical power, you could've very easily defeated me, the fact i had to resort to this scaled-down version of the Enchantment is a testament of that, it's very rare i had to even use this form." Jacob bragged as he was using his ultimate form with surprising control of his strength.
"How are you able to maintain thoughts in that form?" I asked him shocked by how he can control that much power.
"This is what it looks like when you have full control of the magic in your body. I only used 1/100th of the spell's power, with the proper energy control, I could use this form for at least a full minute. Your father and my uncle can maintain this up to 5 minutes." Jacob explained to me as he was calmly within this form.
"Five Minutes?"I said shocked to see him hold the form for 5 Minutes.
"Is this honestly the best you can do with your current power? Pathetic, are you the heir of the Dragonvian Throne? if you can't conserve your power enough, then what's the point of all your power? No wonder I was called here to help you, you need it." Jacob arrogantly mocked as he looked down on me.
"I can do without the insults cousin."I glared at him.
"That;'s enough Jacob, I called you here so you can train her, not so you can make fun of her." Sabre commanded scolding the young heir of the Kinghtwalker clan.
"Very well." Jacob replied as he reverted to his normal self but was notably exhausted. "If you want to get stronger, you're going to have to follow my training and how I became so strong.". Your stamina is pathetic for someone who's of the enchantment class, to be able to match your father's Enchantment mastery, it's not merely enough to merely summon high-level spells but have enough control of your magic so you can use it more wisely. After all, a human without the Mosghiaki No Satsuki has next to no chance of winning against a head-on fight with a dragon, even the strongest of us could only hope to slay weak dragons however we can lend our powers to the Dragons, the only way you can hope to do is if you can lend enough power to enhance them while also having the power to enhance yourself, even with Homsigiaki No Satsuki, don't think you can win the war by sheer brute strength." Jacob explained to me the fundamentals of Ehcantment magic, the very fundamentals that would help me become far stronger.
"As much as I don't like your tone or attitude, you have a point, I never realized until now how much I have to learn.."I replied I had no words, I didn't know how much I was lacking in the control of my magical power.
Frozen Wonderland, Dragonv
Meanwhile, as I've advanced with my training, the others were doing the same. Erenjack was training within the frozen wasteland of Draognv's central northern region, known as the coldest region of the entire world.
Despite wearing a fur coat fur hat with cloth covering his face, he was getting frostbite from his skin.
"Damn it's cold, why am I out here again...Oh, right I need to form that...item " Erenjack said to himself as he walking around the freezing blizzard.
Erenjack was at Sliver Lake City where he got his orders from Rey from.
"Deep in the Frozen Wasteland is a rare ice crystal which can be used to forge weaponry, the part of your training is to survive within the Frozen Wonderlands and find this Crystal. With that, you can forge a sword that would surpass all your swords previously." Rey explained to his student his training objective.
"A sword that can cut almost anything?" Erenjack asked with shock.
"Be warned, the location of these crystals contain the worst dangers possible, winds so cold that they can freeze you to death regardless of how much clothing you have on, the region is also home to the bIllzzarven King" Rey warned his student about the dangers of the region.
"I know him, that's the creature Altas Flames fought when were going to save Ingeel" Erenjack stated as he was familiar with how the creature responded.
"At your current state, you wouldn't last 5 seconds against that creature however in the mountain where the Blizzardvern King has it's nest lies the stone you need to forge your sword. " Rey explained to his student on how he's going to retrieve the crystal.
"I have to sneak through a whole nest of Blizzardvern?" Erenjack questioned wondering his safety.
"Yep, just be very careful, they're insanely territorial and would attack with the fury of a hornet's nest." Rey said to his student cautioning him of the dangers.
"Noted, but do Ii have to do all this with these weights?" Erenjack assed as he had heavy ankle and wrist weights.
"Your speed is lacking greatly, all because you wear those bulky armors of yours, this should help you increase your strength and speed the more you train." Rey said to his student as he tightened the braces, ankle weights, and weighted belt.
Present-day
Erenjack began his climb up the same mountain where he climbed before.
"This is my 20th time climbing this mountain...let's hope i'm successful this time." Erenjack said to himself as he struggled to climb up the massive mountain.
After climbing the mountain, withstanding the slippery rocks, falling rocks, and intense winds, he made it to the top where the Legendary Dragonvian Ice Cysrtral within the Frozen Wonderlands region within Dragonv, the coldest known region of the world.
"Damn, it's cold here...I have to further suppress body heat to avoid detection from those Blizzardverns!" Erenjack said to himself as he covered his already cold body with layers of snow and crawled to avoid the detection of the Billzardvern roaming at the top of the mountain summit.
The Billzardvern walked around not noticing his movements at all, Erenjack already completed one difficult task of climbing the mountain summit, the mount being over 5,000 meters high the next difficult task is trying to slowly crawl to the Yimri Cystral without being detected by the Billzarvern or other creatures, a task extremely difficult made harder by trying to cover his body in snow which is risking his health to illness. In several hours, he was at the site of the crystal.
Erenjack was at Sliver Lake City where he spared against Rey's Ice Minori and Ice armor.
"So you're saying that this stone can greatly increase your power?" Erenjack asked his master.
"The Yimir Cysral is an extremely rare crystal that only forms every 10,000 years in the coldest parts of the world. Not even the most mighty Viking warriors could harness the power of the legendary Ymir Crystal, myself included." Rey stated explaining that no one could tame that Cystral's power.
"But your armor and hammer.." Erenjack asked.
"They're merely dilated by my magical power, even with that I could never use 100% of the crystal's true power if so I would freeze to death."Rey said to his student noting the dangers of the ice he uses.
"What?" the young Head Captain of Dragonv's forces said shocked to learn the cost of using the Yimiri Cystrals full power.
"Many Viking kings before me tried to use the Yimiri crystal, all of them except for me almost died using it even once." Rey explained to his student the rarity of
"And you expect me to be able to use that?" Erenjack questioned his mentor.
"No I don't, however, if you're able to forge the crystal into a weapon, you might be able to control your power better. At the moment your armors use up too much magic and it's unfocused, hence you waste a lot of power using those clunky armors. With this crystal, you should be able to control your energy through trial and error.
"What if I can't?"Erenjack asked his master not condifent in his ability to control his magic.
"Then it's simple, you die!" Rey answered bluntly.
"What?" Erenjacked asked shocked at the blunt outcome.
"The Ymir Ice is said to be a rare crystal of ice said to have the essence of the Frost Giant God Yimir stating only those truly worthy could master its power. The ice would turn anything it touches into ice, even the User, you need to fight this using your magic to contain it." Rey said to Erenjack.
"How can you use that armor so easily?" Erenjack asked.
"I can't if anything this Yimir Armor shortens my lifespan and this is merely making small powdered crystals from the crystal in conjunction with my armor. If this armor was shattered during the battle, it would risk me starting to freeze from my spell."
"Why take such a gambit? Why put on armor with such an Achilles heel?" Erenjack asked his master.
"Because it's to protect the people I love with this as well as the pride of our country and the Viking race, who do you fight for?" Rey asked his student.
"I fight for my country, humanity and my queen." Erenjack said to his master stating his devotion.
"As long as your willpower is strong enough, you should muster the ability to not only forge the Yimiri Ice but control it." Erenjack responded.
Present Day
Erenjack is at the Yimir crystal.
"I'm right at it!" He said to himself as he goes to touch it but his hand gets covered in frost "It's so cold that merely touching it encased my hand in ice" Erenjack to himself as the ice threatens to consume him"URRGGHH!" Erenjack shouted as he tried to stop the ice from spreading to his arm.
He struggles in pain as he fights the Cyrsta;l trying to freeze him whole. The body struggles to avoid freezing to death but he's able to contain it and able to unfreeze his hand" Metal Make: Container" Erenejack chanted as he creates a metallic box around the Yimiri crystal to contain it. "I captured it!"Erenjack said to himself only to see himself surrounded by 10 Billzardvern inculding the Billzardvern king "Damn it !" Erenjack said to himself as he was going to be attacked by the Billzardvern however he sees an Ice wall form around him as Rey jumped from his dragon and grabbed his student.
"You did good, now time for you to rest and get to the next step of your training," Rey said to Erenjack as he hops back on the dragon with Erenjack and the dragon
After a few hours they flew back to Sliver Lake City were Ernejack was resting in the hot springs within the country.
"That was a close one, had I not been checking on your progress, you would've been Blizzardvern chew for the baby birds." Rey said to his student.
"Master... did I get the crystal?" Erenjack asked.
"Yep you did, you almost died from it but you got it out of the flnest." Rey answered.
"That's good to hear!" Erenjack responded.
"Rest up, tomorrow the real challenge begins, forging the weapon and then learning to use it without ending your own life." Rey answered.
"Forging it into a weapon, is it that hard?" Erenjack asked.
"You saw how hard it was to merely take it away right?" Rey answered referring to the frostbite injuries on his student's hand.
"How were you able to tame that power?" Erenjack asked his master.
"Simple, I had years of magic control and training, trust me, this would help you speed up that time or you will die trying." Rey replied.
"Die trying, don't you think this training is a bit drastic?" Erenjack asked his superior wondering if this training was too extreme.
"That's life, you don't get stronger holding back on your training. You need to forge that weapon, careful, you need to take a break every 30 seconds forging it to avoid being frozen to death and you need to learn to wield that weapon for at least 30 seconds."Rey explained to his student warning that if he doesn't control the crystal, he would freeze to death
"That;'s barely anytime to properly forge it!" Erenjack stated.
"As I said, this would be your ultimate test!" Rey replied.
Mount Zonia
November 24, X389
Irene was within the mountain range where she was wearing a plague mask over her face. She had a fur coat over her body and was struggling to climb up the mountain. The mask was obstructing her breathing causing her to struggle while breathing. She then falls and slides off the mountain where she's caught by Grandeeney. She was only 200 meters above sea level where she fell.
"This was her 54th attempt today, don't you think we should call this off? She's been doing this for two weeks already." Grandeeeny asked her cousin.
"It's the only way she can truly learn Enchantment. She wastes too much energy because she doesn't know how to conserve energy. The only way to do so is to learn how to control one's breathing so you can concentrate the amount of energy. It's the fastest way she's going to learn Enchantment Magic right, I wrote this stupid mask and it took me 2 years to complete this training, now I get to laugh at someone else for this stupid mask." Jacob explained to Grandeeney in the most dickish possible.
"Is there any other way to train her that's less dangerous?" Grandeeney asked.
"If I knew, I wouldn't be out here freezing half to death in Mount Zonia. Think of this as the awakening of sorts. By controlling your breathing, you would be allowing your body to push oxygen and magic faster throughout the body allowing you to react faster and hit harder to the increased blood, to your muscles and brain it would work the same for magic the energy would come out much faster and stronger. It was this grueling training I endured and what many Hiers of the Kinghtwalker family would endure that would make them the strongest head of the families and give them the title "Ehcnatment King" Jacob explained to the Sky Dragon Queen.
"She needs rest though, she's severely depleted of Oxygen."Grandenedy stated.
"Very well, she gets a day to catch a breather. Her goal is to climb Mount Zonia with Magical weights each mimicking the weight 1 million tons with her low oxygen level" Jacob replied.
"That much, don't you think that's too far?" Grandeeney questioned.
"You're here for a reason, right? As long as you're here to aid her when she falls, she's perfectly fine." Jacob answered condifent in Grandeeney's healing prowess.
While I struggled within my training. others were in the middle of their grueling training as well.

While I struggled with Concenraiton Breathing, Rena had a very unenviable task as a woman who loved her hair. Rena always loved her Giants and wanted to be as powerful as one, her training consists precisely that as she had to undergo an extreme training regiment.
Rena is trying to stack up rocks on top of each other under the supervision of King Ragnarok. He was within another stone as he used his war ax to cleanly slice it into 10 sqaure cubes and then stack them on top of each other perfectly, balancing them out
"That's how you do it, use your hairs to catch the blocks and then use it to balance it out. You've tried anf failed many times already, let's see if you can do it." Ragnarok said to Rena as she was ready.
"I won't fail again!" Rena replied as she uses her hair to grab one sqaure with her hair tendril but the moment she grabbed it, the tendril easily shatters the stone block. She struggles to pick up the other stone blocks but she keeps breaking them accidentally"Damn it, I failed again!"
"The problem is that you're using way too much strength to pick up these rocks and not controlling it better, knowing this,I brought someone to help you with your training better than we could." Ragnarok said to Rena as Asuka appeared in front of her daughter.
"Mom!" Rena said to her mother as she hugged her.
"Rena, so you're trying to learn full control of your power it seems?" Asuka asked her daughter.
"Yes, but i'm struggling to do so." Rena answered.
Asuka uses her hair to cut a boulder into 10 stone blocks and stacks them perfectly on top of each other without damaging the blocks.
"How are you able to do that?" Rena asked her mother.
"Simple, I use each thread of my hair to use with my strength. To fully master Titan Hair, you need to increase the strength of each thread eventually creating hair that acts as a rope. By learning to control your threads of each strain of hair, you can maximize its powers" Asuka explained to her daughter.
"I see, thanks to mother, I now understand what I need to do." Rena replied happy to have gotten help from her daughter.
Foss Mountain Range
December 2,x389
Meanwhile, Lena is training to master her powers within a massive waterfall within the Foss Mountain Range in Varkyila known as Foss Falls, the massive waterfall was 300 meters high and over 900 meters high, With the intense water rushing down, Lena's go is to use all her power to prevent the waterfall from consuming her, the sand goes from being roughly the size of a large building around her to barely able to cover her body.
"How much more can I take!" Lena shouted as she struggled to hold up the water from her bod as her sand gets drenched. She's then washed away like the sand around her breaks and she is hit with enough water to sink her 2 meters below the lake. Hilda goes to pick her up from the waterfall.
"You're still too weak, you need to concentrate your power a lot more to make sure the elements don't defeat your defense." Hilda said to Lena.
December 8, X389
Erenjack spends weeks tiring to master enegery control trying to forge the blade within his special furance without freezing to death, taking 30-second intervals to forge the blade with a minute-long break to prevent himself from freezing himself to death. Donning a leather apron enchanted to be fire-resistant with gloves met to withstand even the coldest winters working in a small chamber filled with bags of charcoal and whitish clay bricks Lay stacked. Surrounded by bags of charcoal each the size of a large man. Erenjack started by creating a smelter by digging rectangular pit five feet deep which he filled with layers of sand, gravel, clay, charcoal, and ash. And embedded several channels and chambers to wick away moisture. He then assembled a trough of bricks on top of the layers below using water and unfired clay as mortar. Before ducking to the house and coming out with a pair of bellows that he attached at holes at the base.
"I'm close to finishing this blade at long last!" Erenjack said to himself as he placed a bundle of small branches in the trough before lighting them. When the flames were well set, laid a medium place of seasoned oak along the bottom. Erenjack tended the fire until the wood had burned down to coals before lowering the lump of crystal into the fire. On top of the ore and coals, he shoveled a thick layer of charcoal to fuel the flames before grasping a pair of bellows. "Now comes the hard part."he said to himself sighing.
After stopping to shovel more layers of charcoal every so often .after several hours he stopped and took the incandescent coals out of the smelter and dropping them into a barrel of water the coals sizzled and emitted an acrid smell as they struck the water. Before exposing the glowing pool of white-hot metal at the bottom of the trough. The slag and other impurities having runoff during the process, Erenjack covered the metal with an inch of fine white powder. Before going to a bench to sit, now we wait till dark.
After the sunset erenjack returns the smelter carrying a large hammer and prongs after lifting the ore and placing on the ground he lifted his hammer and shattered the ore into small fist size pieces before gathering up the shards in his apron and carried a low table next to the forge. There he sorted them according to hardness which he determined by looking at color and texture on the edges of the sword will go a slightly harder ore looking at a cluster the pieces that had a brilliant sparkling grain.
Taking the pieces of hard and soft ore, Erenjack places them into the forge before using a modified flame spell to shoot a small condensed stream of fire stopping when the ore became cherry red and removing it with a pair of tongs. Placing it on an anvil and with a quick series of blows from a sledgehammer flattened the lumps of ore into quarter-inch thick plates before dropping each plate into nearby trough of brine. Having flattened all of the ore and scouring each plate with sandstone to remove the black scales that had formed on the surface.
The scouring had exposed the crystalline structure which erenjack examined he further sorted the ore by relative hardness and purity according to the quality of the crystals displayed. After looking at the ore he became dissatisfied with the ore in front of him.
"FUCK!" He yelled as his anger at the ore in front of him "This is a problem the unique properties of the ore make it almost impossible to forge correctly unless I can find a proper solution this will end up being a useless Chunks of metal no better than a rock." Erenjack said frustrated, it was his 30th attempt in forging what he would call the Everfrost sword.
After taking a long sigh Erenjack decides to take a small break to calm down and think of a solution. After a half-hour break, he places the plates of ore and cracked them into flakes no wider than rose petals. Gathering up half the flakes of harder ore. Erenjack stacked them into a brick which he then coated with clay and birch bark to hold them together. The brick went on a steel paddle with a seven-foot Handle erenjack laid the end of the paddle in the center of the forge before gripping the handle and using a flame spell to heat the brick, after half an hour the granite stones of the forge were bright yellow from the heat the moment the ore turned white erenjack rushed the brick of clay-clovered ore to the anvil after he seized a hammer and welded the flakes of ore into a cohesive whole.
He continued to pound the metal elongating it into a bar, then cut in the middle folded the ore back on itself and welded the pieces together, once the color turned from white to yellow he returned to the forge and heated and folded the metal six times until it became smoother and more flexible. Erenjack quenched the bar after the sixfold and repeated the entire process with the other half the ore making two bars. Then he gathered up the fragments of softer ore which he folded and welded 10 times before forming it into a heavy wedge.
After reheating the two bars of Harder ore he lay the side of the shining rods by side on the anvil grasped both of them at either end with a pair of tongs and twisted the rods around each other seven times and hammed the twist to weld them into a single piece of ore. Erenjack folded welded and lengthen it another six times. Erenjack smiled at the quality of the ore, he flattened the sheet into a rectangular sheet cut the sheet in half with a chisel and bent each half to down their middle creating a long V.
Erenjack wasted no time and placed the wedge of ore between the long V-shaped strips and hammered them till friction held them together then welded the pieces into a whole, while it was still hot he began to draw out the rough blank of the sword. The soft wedge became the spine the harder strips became the sides, edges and point Erenjack returned to the tang hammering it up the blade. At last, the forging came to a close after letting the sword cool Erenjack took it to another part of the workshop were several grinding wheels and small bench with a wide assortment of files scrapers and abrasive stones spent the next day working the sword planning the sides with.
Drawknife as well as refining the contours of the blade with files. When he was done filing he built a charcoal fire and mixed a slurry of dark fine-grained clay, ash, powdered pumice and crystallized juniper sap. He painted the blade with the concoction slathering twice as much on the spine as along the edges and point he lay the sword on a bed of coals and with his free hand worked the bellow, he pulled it towards his hip once the tip left the fire he did the same on the other side until both edges were orange and the spine was bright red then plunged it into a trough of water which hissed and sizzled around the blade after a minute he removed the now pearl grey sword. He returned it to the same low heat then quenched it again to reduce the brittleness of the blade. After moving the sword back to the bench with the files, scalpers and abrasive stones.
Making use of finer stones he polished the blade. After he was done the true beauty of the sword was revealed he could see a shimmering cable-like pattern, every line of which marked the transition between two layers of the ore. Along each edge of the sword was a rippling silvery white band which made it appear as if the edges burned with tongues of frozen fire. It is done Erenjack says as he lowers the sword he had done what should have taken months and done it in a single month he had created a sword unlike any seen before.
"I did it! I created my sword...The sword of Everfrost!" Erenjack said to himself.
The Next Day
Rey arrived to check on the progress of his student only to be pleasantly surprised. He saw crafted the ultimate sword crafted from the Yimiri Crystals
"You created that weapon?" Rey asked as he marveled at the creation.
"I forged this weapon spending a full month taking internals avoiding that blade, Mixing the Iron ores with my Metal Make and combining it with the Yimri Crystal, i was able to forge this sword into the mighty sword of Everfrost. Wasn't easy, the crystal constantly kept putting out the forging fire" Erenjack explained to his master as he forged the mighty Everfrost sword.
"I see, now comes your final test."Rey replied as he puts both his hands on the ground and raises an Ice Wall that was over 100 meters high and 20 meters high consisting of the same fragments of the Ymir.
"What is this?" Erenjack asked shocked to see the wall.
"My strongest defense, the Yimiri Ice Wall! Only the strongest attack could cut through it if you can fully focus on the power of the blade and draw it out, you can potentially cut through the wall." Rey explained to Erenjack as he walked away " It's probably got to take many tries but if you master it, you should be able to cut this wall cleanly in half, just be careful not to freeze yourself to death."
"Got it, time to use Everfrost!" Erenjack chanted as he picks up the sword, the hilt alone begins to free around his fingers"Damn this sword is so cold it's freezing my hand even with control!" Erenjack said to his master.
"You need to focus the power, it won't be easy controlling that sword while also trying to cut that wall, now flick that sword into a wall!" Rey said to Erenjack as his student grips the hilt with both hands.
"Damn, it's even colder!" Erenjack shouted as his hands are being covered with frost. He then goes to swing the sword with both hands together and collides with the wall, the wall barely cracked an inch and Erenjacks arms are covered in light frost"Damn it!" Erenjack shouted as Rey breaks the ice on his hands.
"You still lack the control or precision to cut the wall, you need more work on your magical control. Only when you get it right you can use Everfrosts true potential" Rey explained to his student as he walked to his Wyren to fly away.
Mount Zonia
December 15, X389
3 weeks have passed since Irene was last seen, she was climbing 4,500 meters up the mountain under a severe Blizzard with a special Plague Mask limiting her breathing while under heavy Ankle weights, Wrist weights and a belt weight. The goal of this test is to climb Mount Zonia, all while under limited oxygen, it's been her 234th attempt so far to climb the 4,808 m mountain, she was climbing harder as snow falls on her, every climb became harder and harder as the already oxygen-deprived body had to face an even greater drop in Oxygen, Irene struggles to climb higher, however, was at her limit and falls down the mountain, she's caught again by Grandeeney.
"Irene, you're okay?" Grandeeney said to her as she removed the mask and used a healing spell to try to help her.
Irene wakes up a few hours later in her cabin below the mountain with the cabin being large enough to fit a Dragon.
"Where am I? Am I dead?" she asked herself looking around and feeling her body to see if she's dead.
"No you're fine, had not for me, you would've been dead." Grandeeney answered as she was hovering over her.
"Damn Ii was so close to that mountain top"Irene shouted as she cursed her weakness but was feeling too weak to yell.
"You need to be careful, you almost died from altitude sickness." Grandeeney lectured the Queen of Dragons
"Attitude sickness? Was I that depleted of oxygen?"Irene asked Grandeeney.
"You came close but you need to be careful, the higher the altitude, the less oxygen you have and that can be fatal. You must learn to concentrate your power so you use less energy, you're almost there. Irene."
"I see, I just have to keep trying." Irene said to Grameedey as she gets back up and tries to go again only to see Grandeeney stop her blocking her path
"But You just recovered from altitude Sickness, you need at least a week's rest." Grandeeney stated.
"Don't worry, I'll make up for that for the holidays..." Irene replied as she falls the ground and passes out.
Between December 15 and December 22, X389
For the next week, Irene and her comrades try their hardest to master their powers. Each reaching new heights not expected within the world at this period.
Foss Mountain Range
Lena is struggling to overcome the entire waterfall as her sand was starting to take up half the area of the waterfall and was rising higher and higher up the waterfall.
"Almost there!" Lena s said to herself as she struggled to overpower the waterfall with sand but it was washed away"Damn it!" Lena shouted as she's flushed down to the bottom of the falls again.
Sliver Lake City, Isvan
Erenjack struggles to cut through the mightly Ice Wall, the wall has 30 gashes from the numerous attempts Erenjack tried to cut it with varying degrees of depth. He swings his sword again trying to cut through the wall, this time leaving a 5-meter deep gash taking up half the height of the wall." Almost there " Erenjack said to himself as his arms were frozen again.
Bojirn,Olaf
Rena struggles to use her hairs to p[refectly control the tensile strength of her hairs to avoid crushing the blocks, she's able to stack 7 of the 10 blocks required when then 8th one shatters due to the excessive force of her hairs"Damn it, not again" Rena shouted.
Mount Zonia
Irene was 4,700 Meters at the mountain top climbing close to the top, where she almost fell this time
"I can't fall! I won't fall...NOT AS LONG AS THE WORLD DEPENDS ON ME! Mother, Father... My Family, Firends, my country, my race, the Dragons, all of them depend on me to live, all depend on me to carry out my density, to defeat the Dark Dragon Tribe" Irene said herself as she used her willpower to climb to the top of the summit and reach the top, she then removes the mask and uses a smoke bomb from Gappione to signify that she's there.
A few minutes later Grandeeneyand Jacob arrives there.
"Well I'll be damned, you completed a training regiment so harsh and intense, it took me 2 years to beat in a single month. You are the daughter of Uncle Charles" Jacob said to Irene.
"She's a bit worn out but better than last time, she did learn to concentrate her magical power better. Nothing a few days or rest won't fix."
"No... I want my rematch first !" Irene said to Grandeeney.
"But Queen, you're in no condition to..." Irene replied ignoring Grandeeny's advice.
"It's an order, I want to see how much further I got, give me a quick patch up and fly me to Mericiclius so I can fight my cousin again." Irene demanded.
"Fine... If you think you're body can take it, cousin, it was hilarious watching you walk around with that stupid mask." Jacob laughed mocking her.
"Very funny but i'm getting the last laugh here." Irene replied.
Foss Mountain Range
Lena is struggling to overcome the entire waterfall as her sand was starting to take up half the area of the waterfall and was rising higher and higher up the waterfall.
"You can do this! The Nirvirt Tribe didn't perish in vain, in fact they all live within me, all my cousins, parents, ancestors, Neighbors, they're all part of me, i'm the last Nrivit to live and one day I will rebuild the Nirvirt Race via procreating or finding the One Magic to restore my race to how they were, I also fight on the behalf of Sister Irene and the kingdom of Dragonv who raised me as their own." Lena said to herself as she gained the confidence boost which allows her to completely envelop the entire Waterfall in the sand and completely drain it's moisture for a few minutes, turning it into a dry barren wasteland.
Sliver Lake City, Isvan
Erenjack struggles to cut through the mightly Ice Wall, the wall has 30 gashes from the numerous attempts Erenjack tried to cut it with varying degrees of depth. He swings his sword again trying to cut through the wall, this time. Erenjack spends a whole week trying to cut through the wall, he then uses another dividing slash, this time cleaving straight through Rey's 100 meter high,20 meter high Ice Wall.
"Man this sword has serious power... at a serious cost" Erenjack replied as his whole arm is encased with ice
Bojirn,Olaf
Rena struggles to use her hairs to p[refectly control the tensile strength of her hairs to avoid crushing the blocks, she's able to stack all 0 blocks required putting all the blocks today.
Crocus, Fiore
December 23,389
Jacob and Irene were using Sabres Illusion soldiers to clash in a battle of enchantments, Both sides were evenly matched.
"Pedes Notics Luis+Ira Del+Deus Bulla" Jacob and Irene chanted as their forces were given a 10 fold boost in power.
Their forces and the two clashes evenly for a good 5 minutes with both armies stalemating each other, Irene and Jacob clash in an Echanthment battle both stop. Irene was notably more out of breathe than Jacob but still fared well regardless.
"Man to think you got so strong in such a short time Cousin, you're equal to Jacob's skills now."
"No, she's stronger... she didn't fully recover and yet she almost had me beat. Her training paid off, she's a real prodigy at this." Jacob replied as he was out of breath.
Irene was standing winded from using too much power.
"Looks like with a bit more training, I can go even higher than before!" Irene said to them.
"Christmas is tomorrow, following that the Three Kings Holiday around January 6 and Yule Northern Light festival on January 9, we should use this to rest up and resume you're training in a month, you earn a break." Sabre said to her cousin as they prepare to unwind for the holidays.
Ist Person POV
Christmas, a magical holiday that it is, between the final weeks of December and the dawn of the New Year, various cultures around the world celebrate their version of the Winter Solcase. At the beginning of December, the Zenith's celebrated Chanukah, a holiday commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Exodus after a group of Jewish warriors defeated the occupying mighty Gaerican armies thousands of years ago, at December 24-25, Christmas is celebrated by the Zentopians celebrating the birth of their Messiah, the Asekrhamni didn't have a specific holiday, occasionally their holy calendar had their holiday Ramadan fall on the day. The Vikings have their Holiday Yule celebrating their Viking Gods and the dragons have their Holiday known as Five Gods Day which is on December 30, just a day before the New Year's holiday celebrating the Five Dragon Gods.
While war looming around the corner, we could take this time to relax and prepare for the upcoming war...or so we January 6, X390 there weres going to be a Day of the Nothern Lights Festival shortly after the new years beginning which would take place in Silver Lake City in Isvan where the festival was made for the Northern Lights show which is at it's most beautiful that year and where shooting stars are seen but.
Things seem to be going so rosy and well within the world, little did we know that lesson of peace would be shattered far sooner than expected as not long from now, the true test of everything I worked hard to fight against would rear its the ugly head.
Meanwhile at Parts Unknown
The Tararus guild comes together for a meeting within their castle. Mard Geer was at his throne where Kyouka, Seliah, Torazaffuar, and Keyes appear with their cloaks still on.
"We've now have assembled a force that would crush out the light of the world." Mard Geer said to his group with his monotone voice.
"We've successfully gathered our army of thousands of Zeref's creations, ready to terrorize the world." Keyes stated.
"And with my ability to rob people of their ability to move, strength would not matter much." Seliah said to the group.
"Now comes the question, where do we attack first.?" Kyouka asked her master.
"We have hundreds of churches and holy shrines throughout the Isfghlian continent and within middle Earthland and North Pangera. Amongst those churches, 6 of them contain the Pieces we look for. We must approach this carefully though, if we use too big of an invasion force, we will risk Dragonv finding us even with my powers cloaking our presence and even with our army, we stand no chance against a Dragon army much less Dragonv."Mard Geer explained to the group
"I have several suggestions for areas to attack. If I can hear your time master." Keyes suggested.
"Sure thing Keyes, give us the location." Mard Geer replied in his monotone voice.
"There's the Grand Zentopian Chruch itself in Zentopia City, it's largely believed they contain a clock peice, however, it's the most heavily guarded area with Holy mages who can kill us easily, then there's believed to be a hidden Chruch recently built in Sliver Lake City, my scouts alleged the chruch was built as a possible hiding place for the clock peice and there's the Mount Exodus Temple, the recent alliance made us believe that it might be hidden there. All these locations won't be easy to breach however if we divert enough resources, we can launch a small invasion into those areas." Keyes said to his master as he explained his plan of attack.
"Understood, I will map out what to do next, for now, let's enjoy the holidays for it would soon be the last holiday humanity would ever have." Mard Geer responded as he drinks his wine on his throne.
To be continued.
(A/N: The Tatarus guild is now preparing it's an assault on humanity, unbeknownst to Irene and her comrades, a new war was beginning without their knowledge, yep Tatarus are beginning their war against humanity, could Irene's forces prevail against the Tararus guild with their training.
Yeah as you guess, this chapter was a training montage chapter meant to advance Irene enough to the Tatarus arc. Jacob is the asshole mentor who helps Irene become stronger and the concept of her learning to control breathing to reduce the amount of energy she wastes and allows her to focus more o advanced enchantments and enchanting multiple people. Special thanks to my beta reader and co-writer Geralt D. Wolfwood for the idea.
I also added some more different Enchantments in this fanfiction and expanded some of the canon ones like Berseker, this would be carried over to future characters like Wendy to learn these same spells and flesh out the Ehcnatment magic use within the seires. And yes this is the same Berserker spell Irene would use much later on in canon, the same one that pulverized Fairy Tail and forced Marakov to make the sacrificial Super Fairy Law attack except I intend to make sure he dies when that happens. In the speech, I allure to Irene's desire to wanting to make a far more ethical enchantment alternative to that of Berserker which radically increased the power of forces up to 100,000 times their base power, this would be the catalyst for her much later creation Dragon Slayer Magic.
With Lena and Rena's training, I based it both on the training Naruto did within the Hidan Kazuzu Arc and the Charka control training within the Fourth SHinobi World War. For Lena, her training is to withstand the force of a waterfall using her Sand which should be difficult given how easy
As for the Erenjack forging scene along with the concept of Everfrost, you gotta thank my beta reader and co-writer Geralt D. Wolfwood for the idea, I loved the idea of giving Erenjack a superweapon that would help him in the upcoming war, a sword that's a double edge sword that can do as much damage to himself as it could his opponents can help him out considerably.
Anyways expect Tararus to be far more powerful and threatening than in canon, this would be further the case once they're rebooted for the Present-day where the mages would have less training and fewer hardships compared to the older generation who was already preparing for a war
