"Now that we are all here, we will need to discuss the next step," VEGA said.
"Does that next step include the destruction of these so called demons?" Alastor asked.
"Correct," VEGA said.
"Since we have to be aware of these monsters, can you at least tell us what they look like?" Nifty asked.
"I agree with the kid," Husk said.
"Didn't we see them on the news already?" Vaggie said.
"What demon did you see?" Hayden asked.
"I'm not sure. It was some gross looking thing that could throw literal fire," Vaggie explained.
"That would fit the description of an imp," VEGA said.
"Is that the only one you all have seen?" Hayden asked. He received a collection of nods. "Well, that is only one kind of demon from hell. There are a lot more than that one, and they are a lot bigger too."
"Okay, so what are the other demons that we could see," Charlie asked.
"It may be rather difficult to describe the demons in perfect accuracy that would give you a good enough idea," VEGA said
"Let's just say you will know them when you see them," Hayden said.
"But you said that he has been dealing with these things for a long time right?" Cherri asked
"That is correct," VEGA said.
"So wouldn't you have some kind of shit stored somewhere that you could share with all of us. I mean if we're all going to be working together, I feel like we should know everything that we're dealing with," Cherri said. Some members of the room looked impressed by that.
"You go girl," Angel said in support of Cherri's statement.
"You make a solid point Cherri," VEGA said.
"It is a very fair statement. So you all wish to know everything about the demons of hell," Hayden said, as he wanted to get a majority vote from the room.
"Fuck yeah," Cherri said
"Why the hell not?" Husk said.
"While we are young," Angel said.
"But Angel, we don't age," Nifty said. Angel was about to insult her because he was well aware of that, but held off.
"Yes, thank you Nifty," Angel said, really biting his tongue.
"Ok then. In that case, VEGA and I will work on developing a... presentation, if you could call it that. It will include images and detailed descriptions of each demon that the Slayer has encountered and what to watch out for," Hayden said
"How long will that take?" Vaggie asked.
"It shouldn't take much time. But VEGA and I will have to go offline while we do it, so we will not be able to engage in these great conversations," Hayden said sarcastically.
"HEY! Listen up Samuel, I am the only one that gets to be sarcastic here," Angel said taken offense to it.
"Good to know," Hayden said. His voice transmission with the Slayer ended.
"Well that was insightful," Alastor said.
"Very," Lucifer said as he stretched his shoulders.
"So, what is the plan for now?" Vaggie asked.
"Well as of now, I believe my wife and I have to come up with a press conference of some sort," Lucifer said.
"You are truly going to face the people of hell with you head held up high after the embarrassing loss?" Alastor said, trying to get under Lucifer's skin again.
"Yes Alastor. Thank you for that," Lucifer said, as he didn't want to bother playing his game.
"If we are, we better return to the kingdom for now," Lilith said.
"Agreed," Lucifer said getting to his feet.
"But you'll miss the presentation," Nifty said.
"We can hear about it later. For now, we need to develop a presentation of our own, but for the whole world of hell," Lucifer said.
"Good luck with that," Angel said.
"I'm going to pretend you're not being sarcastic, so thank you," Lucifer said.
"We should get going," Lilith said.
"See you later Mom and Dad," Charlie said as they were leaving.
"Goodbye Charlotte," Lucifer said.
"Let us know if you hear anything new," Lilith said.
Now that Lucifer and Lilith exited the hotel to do their assigned tasks, that left the usual group remaining at the hotel. The group went there own ways as they had to kill some time before VEGA and Hayden were ready. Charlie and Vaggie were off by the check in desk, as Vaggie got some time to talk with her girlfriend about everything. The rest of the group stayed around the bar. Except the unchained predator. Angel looked over at the Slayer who per usual, was off by himself. He seemed to be messaging his wrist while also adjusting his gauntlet. He took a moment to adjust his fur, to make sure he looked good. After that, he walked over to the Slayer.
"Hey muscles, what's shaking?" Angel asked. The Slayer slowly looked up at Angel who had a grin on his face and his hands on his hips. He still hoped he could get the Slayer to talk.
"Hello Angel," said VEGA.
"Oh, VEGA, I thought you were gone," Angel said.
"Not quite yet. Although Dr. Hayden should be summoning me eventually," VEGA said.
"Well since ya still here, I got some questions for ya," Angel said.
"And what would those be?" VEGA asked.
"First off, where the hell have ya been? After ya saved us, you just disappeared," Angel asked.
"The Slayer returned to his fortress. Shortly after he spent some time in the Wraith Ring," VEGA said.
"The Wraith Ring? What the hell were you doing out there?" Angel asked.
"The Slayer investigated it for demonic activity. While he battled with a Hell Knight, it was not the source," VEGA said.
"I see that Hell Knight was no match for this hunk of muscle," Angel said.
"The Slayer has dealt with Hell Knights many times before. To him, killing a demon is quite easy," VEGA said.
"I bet it is," Angel said with a smirk.
"You said you had multiple questions. What was the other one?"
"Oh...right. Well once this whole...thing is taken care of. What is he gonna do then? Is he gonna stick around or go back?" Angel said. This question did not get a immediate response from VEGA. The Slayer himself hadn't actually thought about that before.
"I cannot truly answer that question, as I do not know that," VEGA said.
"You don't?" Angel asked, as he thought VEGA knew everything that the Slayer knew.
"No. Unfortunately I cannot know everything that he knows," VEGA said.
"Oh, okay," Angel said in a defeated tone. It wasn't a no, but he didn't want the guy to leave.
There conversation got interrupted as Charlie came over to speak with the Slayer.
"Hello VEGA, Mr. Slayer," Charlie began.
"Hello Ms. Charlie, may I help you with something?" VEGA asked.
"Yes. You said you were going to be staying in hell for the time being right?" Charlie asked.
"That would be correct," VEGA said.
"Since you are," Charlie began but walked toward the check in desk. She grabbed a room key and walked back towards the Slayer. She held it out to him, "Would you like a room at the hotel? Gives you a place to stay."
The Slayer looked down at the key. He reached out to it and grabbed it. He brought the key to his face to examine it. The key was on a key ring. It had the key of course and it had a plastic circle which had the number ten on it. He assumed that it was the room number. He closed his fist which made the whole key disappear. He brought his arm down to his side and looked back at Charlie. He could tell he had a lot of eyes on him at the moment.
"The Slayer accepts your offer," VEGA said.
"Great! If you want, I can show you where your room is located," Charlie said as a small smile came to her face.
The Slayer unballed his fist and held the key back for her to take. Charlie figured that he accepted that offer as well. So she took the key and began to the room. The Slayer followed after her. As they walked down a long hallway of rooms, the Slayer looked back and forth at the rooms and the paintings hanging up on the walls. Charlie then came to a stop at room number ten. After a few seconds of messing with the lock, she opened the room. She pushed the door open and allowed him to walk in first. Of course the Slayer had to do a little maneuvering as the door was not built for a 6'8, 360 pound man. But he did have to do that when he entered the hotel to begin with. Which of course made Charlie nervous as he would not like it as it may be too small for him.
"Oh eh, please mind the door. You're bigger than most demons in hell," Charlie said with a nervous laugh. There were demons that were bigger than the Slayer, but that was by height. They were not as built and wide as he was.
"So? Don't you know Charlie that bigger is better," Angel said. It also showed Charlie that Angel and Cherri followed the Slayer as well.
They all stopped as they saw the Slayer look around the room. The room wasn't as fancy as the others, mainly because they added new things to their rooms. But it had the usual things a hotel room would have. The room did come with a big bed, which is mainly while Charlie chose this one. But the Slayer wasn't one to normally sleep, so he may not even use it.
"So, do you like it?" Charlie asked.
"The Slayer is content with the room. The Slayer is not one to show much interest in things, so he isn't bothered by how a room looks," VEGA said.
"That is good to hear. If you need anything feel free to ask," Charlie said.
"Rightttttt. Tell me Charlie how he will do that," Cherri said with a grin.
"Oh, right. Well VEGA can tell me if he needs something," Charlie said going along with it.
"Of course," VEGA said. He went quiet for around 15 seconds before speaking again. "Dr. Hayden is requesting me now, so it is my time to go offline. I will be back shortly."
"Don't have too much fun while you're away," Angel said.
"Come on, we should let him settle in," Charlie said as she wanted to give him his space.
(30 Minutes Later)
Some time had passed since VEGA and Samuel Hayden had left, the Slayer didn't know how long it had been. He did expect to hear from them by now. The Slayer stood alone in the room. After he got done looking over all of the details he took a deep breath and removed his helmet. He placed it on the nearby desk and loosened up his shoulders. He placed both of his hands on the desk and shut his eyes. The Slayer was having a lot of deep thoughts right now. He didn't even want VEGA to know about them. He came back to reality as he heard Angel call his "name" from behind him. He turned his head slightly to see that he never actually closed the door.
"Hey Doomguy, ya alright?" Angel asked, as he dropped the sassy attitude for once. The Slayer saw that Cherri and Nifty had come with Angel as well. "Oh shit, you're actually not wearing your helmet for once." Angel said as he saw the back of his head, instead of a metal helmet.
The Slayer looked completely forward again and stood up straight. He reached to put his helmet back on, but he felt a hand touch his shoulder.
"W-wait. We have known you for some time now and this feels like a good time for this. Before you put it back on, can you turn around and show us what you really look like?" Angel asked.
"Yeah man, we have been really interested to see. I mean we only know what your eyes look like, cause of your helmet," Cherri said.
"We promise to not judge your appearance," Nifty said.
The Slayer looked stood still for a moment before placing his helmet back on the desk. Angel took a few steps back as the Slayer began to turn around. He eventually turned completely around and they could all see his face as bright as day. Of course, he still had his normal angry glare as he looked at all three of them.
"Woaaahhhhhhh," Nifty said.
"Man dude, the amount of scaring on your face is insane. It's fucking badass as far as I'm concerned," Cherri said.
"Yeah, even with your scaring, you're a pretty good lookin guy," Angel said.
"Fuck yeah, really looks like you went to hell and back," Cherri said, as she got closer to the Slayer to see him better.
"Um Cherri?" Angel said thinking Cherri forget about his past.
"I know Angel, I know," Cherri said as she knew what she said.
"I say the wait was well worth it," Nifty said.
"Indeed. You seem to have all three traits to make a pure sexy stud," Angel said holding up three fingers.
"The three traits? What is that?" Cherri asked as she had never heard of anything like that before.
"Is hot, has sexy muscles, has a huge dick. Most people in hell do not have all three. We can tell that he has muscles, he is hot. And that makeshift bulge in his armor has to tell me he's packin something," Angel said, while putting a finger up for each trait.
"Oh so it's just some system you made up?" Cherri said.
"I am not confirming or denying that," Angel said with a smug grin.
The Slayer turned around back toward the desk and picked his helmet back up. He held it in his hands and saw his face in the reflection of the glass. His glare seemed to get stronger.
"Ya know, if it makes ya more comfortable, you don't have to wear that thing around the hotel," Angel suggested.
"Oh please Angel, you just want a pretty face to look at everyday," Cherri said.
"First of all, I already have a pretty face to see everyday, it's mine. Second of all, there is nothing wrong with me suggesting that he wears it when he is outside of the hotel," Angel said.
"I like the idea," Nifty said.
"Thank you Nifty," Angel said.
"Well it is his decision in the end," Cherri said, pointing at the Slayer who was still holding on to his helmet.
"Ya I know. But I just know the others probably would like to see what you really look like," Angel said.
"Well we shouldn't force him too. Maybe he's subconscious about his looks," Nifty suggested.
"REALLY? You think this motherfucker cares about his looks?" Angel said as he laughed at the remark.
"Some of them may figure out that we saw your real face, so they may be wanting to see too. So If you want, you could show them so they don't ask again in the future. How does that sound," Cherri asked.
The Slayer just stood there silently as he looked at Cherri. The Slayer, while not changing his facial expression seemed confused by that logic. If anything, if they hadn't seen his face, then they would be the ones pestering him about it. But of course, he said nothing.
"Oh yeah, you don't have VEGA right now. Damn so how are we suppose to know what he wants us to know?" Cherri said thinking of a way for him to communicate.
"He could give us a thumbs up if he likes it and a thumbs down if he doesn't," Nifty suggested.
"Not a bad idea, whatcha think about that idea Doomguy?" Angel asked. The Slayer still stood motionless as he stared at Angel.
"Okay, he may not like that one," Cherri said.
"What about a simple nod?" Nifty suggested. Once again, the Slayer gave the same reaction. The reaction of nothing.
"Damn Slayer, you are really difficult sometimes," Cherri said as he didn't respond to that idea either.
"Okay I got something. If you would be fine to show everyone your real face, place your helmet back on the desk," Angel said.
The Slayer looked back at his helmet. He took nearly ten seconds before he decided to place it back down on the desk. Normally he wasn't one to do something like this. But these demons have continued to treat him differently than most.
"Ha, that's a 9000 IQ move by me bitches," Angel said.
"Okay, okay, that was a good suggestion," Cherri said.
"Well come on then Mr. Slayer," Angel said motioning him to follow with his finger. The Slayer started to believe that the main reason for this was for them to brag about seeing his face.
Nifty and Cherri went out of the room and allowed him to exit. The three demons escorted the Slayer back to the main lobby. They all seemed way too eager to show off the Slayer's real face to the rest of the group. They acted like they just struck gold.
"Wassup assholes," Angel said as he was the first to enter the lobby.
"What do you want Angel?" Vaggie said as she was organizing a stack of papers.
"Well me and the gang want to show you all something cool," Angel said leaning against the wall.
"Define cool," Husk said.
"The Slayer's face," Cherri said as she came into view.
"What the hell do you mean by that?" Husk asked. Of course his question was answered as the Slayer stepped into the room. "Oh, I see."
"Damn! So that's what he looks like," Vaggie said.
"I'm surprised he even allowed you to see him without his helmet," Charlie said as she looked over every detail.
"Welllllll it's more like we came in at the right time," Angel said.
"So you invaded the man's privacy," Alastor asked as he tilted his head.
"Hey it's not our fault. He shouldn't have left the door opened," Angel said. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the Slayer's head turn towards him and give him an annoyed glare. "Uh, no offense," He quickly said while taking a step back incase the Slayer tried to strangle him.
"I must say, it is quite amusing after all of this time, he still keeps that same death glare of his," Alastor said.
"I know, makes him really fucking uncomfortable to look at," Husk said as the Slayer turned back towards him.
"HUSK don't say that about him," Nifty said as she thought Husk was insulting the Slayer. But of course, none of what was being said meant anything to the Slayer.
"I wasn't trying to fucking insult him. When someone looks at you with a death glare all the time, you have no idea what they planning," Husk said.
"Oh Husker, is that actual fear that I see from you?" Alastor asked.
"No it ain't fear. Like you, I ain't scared of you," Husk said, pointing at Alastor.
"Oh, and why is that?" Alastor asked. But he already knew the answer.
"You know why," Husk said.
"I do? Well it must of slipped my mind," Alastor said with a large smile.
"That's a load of bullshit," Husk said.
"Girls, girls your both pretty," Cherri said, but the back and forth banter was somewhat amusing.
Kingdom Of Hell
"Well this was an exciting adventure," Lucifer said.
"An adventure that you better make sure doesn't happen again," Lilith ordered.
"Believe me, I do not want it to happen either," Lucifer said as sharp pain went through his side.
"So, I guess we need to come up with a idea," Lilith said.
"Yes we do. What is the best way to address the entire realm about this outbreak?" Lucifer said to Lilith and also himself.
"We could possibly announce it over the news. That channel 666 news is rather popular," Lilith said.
"Please, I will not be anywhere near that bitch on the news. I may end up killing her, which may not be the greatest look," Lucifer said.
"I guess I cannot disagree with your distaste with that Katie Killjoy," Lilith said.
"We may have to schedule an entire interview of some sort. Where every single news station and every single demon will see it," Lucifer said, as he began to picture it in his mind.
"Thinking really big are we?" Lilith asked.
"Exactly. If what VEGA and that damn Dr. Hayden are saying is true. We may have to go the distance," Lucifer said.
At that moment a bright light appeared from the center of the room. A familiar portal was opening up in the middle of the kingdom.
"Woah, woah, woah," Lucifer said as he shielded his eyes.
"What is this?" Lilith asked.
"I think this may be one of my siblings," Lucifer said. And he was right. Out of the portal came Gabriel. "Well Gabriel, this is unexpected."
"Greetings Lucifer. I have something urgent- Oh my, what on earth happened to you?" Gabriel asked as he noticed Lucifer's condition.
"Long story, I'll tell you about it some other time. What were you saying about something urgent?" Lucifer said.
"R-Right. We have a problem," Gabriel spoke getting back on topic.
"What has happened?" Lucifer asked.
"Heaven is being invaded," Gabriel spoke.
