This chapter will start off with what happened in the restroom.

As I made my way towards the ladies' room, I let Sawyer know I would be right out. I went into a stall and moments later I heard the clicking of heels walk by. I make my way to the sink and while I was reapplying my lipstick, I hear a familiar voice and see Melanie standing right next to me.

"Hello Ana, how is your night going so far?" she asks me sarcastically.

"It's going fantastic. Now, that that's out of the way, what do you want? How long have you been in here waiting for me? Because Sawyer would have stopped you from coming inside, had he seen you," I respond.

"Oh please Ana, don't flatter yourself. It was merely a coincidence," she scoffs, "look at you, you are nothing but a modern day Cinderella playing dress up. Christian obviously paid for your dress and all the jewelry you have on. I have to say, he has excellent taste in attire. You do know that he only brought you along because he feels sorry for you. I heard all about you and how you came to meet Christian. You're just a charity case, Ana. I know you're not good enough for Christian. So why don't you save yourself all this heartache and humiliation and leave him?" she says. What did she just say? How does she know about what happened to me?

I get in her face, "Look, Melanie, stay the fuck away from me! You are really start to piss me off. I find it amusing really that you had to sneak in here to talk to me alone. You are embarrassing yourself by approaching me the way you have. You're just jealous because Christian no longer wants you. You are sound like a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum when things don't go your way. Well, guess what? I don't give a shit what you want. I know you have been watching us tonight, and I saw what you were trying to do when you walked up to him making your way to the stage. It's not going to work. How about you save yourself the humiliation and go back to where you came from. It's clear to me you're the one who is fucking delusional if you think he still loves you. I don't have time for your shit. I'm going back to Christian to enjoy the rest of the night with him. I owe him a million dollar dance," I smirk and make my way towards the door. She grabs my arm and when I turn, she slaps me.

I see Sawyer barge in, looks at what transpired and he tells Melanie to stay put. I think he is talking to Taylor through the ear piece because I hear him say there was a situation over here regarding me. We walk out of the bathroom and stay in the hallway. I look around and I see this man in a tux and mask standing by the back door, just staring at me. He removes the mask and I gasp. It's Jose. I see him smirk and wave at me. I turn to tell Sawyer, but when I look back, he was gone. Next thing I know, Christian is right in front of me and I explain what happened. I know what I saw, and it was him. Taylor has security search for Jose to see if he is still on the property. Christian then orders Sawyer to escort Melanie out. He told her that he was going to put a civil harassment restraining order against her. We went back to the table, and let his parents know we were leaving. Once we are back at the apartment I get undressed and I fall asleep instantly.

In the morning, I laid in bed thinking about last night. I was shocked when I saw Jose there, but now I am curious as to how he got in. He doesn't know anybody in this society, yet he was dressed like every man there at the event. How did he get a tuxedo and an invitation to the gala? Unless he knew someone, and he came as their guest. But who? None of this is making any sense.

After breakfast, Christian told me his therapist was willing to speak with me if I ever felt the need to talk to someone. So, just to please him, I said I would go. Normally, he didn't work on Sundays, but because Christian pays him good money, he is available 24/7. Christian called him and told him it was an emergency. I get dressed and Sawyer drives me to his office. Since his office is closed, he is the one who welcomes me in. Sawyer waits in the lobby and I walk into his office and sit on the couch, ready to talk to Christian's expensive charlatan.

"Anastasia, I want you to understand what you tell me in this room stays in this room. Christian is concerned about you and he felt like maybe talking to a professional would help make you feel less anxious. When you are ready, you can begin. Take all the time you need," Dr. Flynn says.

"Please call me Ana," I tell him.

"Tell me, Ana, how are you feeling now after the whole kidnapping and after seeing Jose again for the first time since that night?" Dr. Flynn asks.

"Honestly? I'm ok Dr. Flynn. Christian has helped me tremendously with this whole situation. I feel safe when I am around him. Having Sawyer shadowing me, I feel secure. I freaked out when I saw him because it was unexpected. I never thought I would see him there, of all places. Something is just not adding up," I say.

"What do you mean by that, Ana?" he says, confused.

"Well, how did he get in there without an invitation? He has been hiding from the police for over two months now. He was wearing a tuxedo and mask. Where did he get it? See, I believe he knew someone and went as their guest," I mentioned.

"Have you told Christian about this?" he asks and I shake my head. "Why not?"

"I don't know. I think maybe he is already trying to figure that out on his own. You know him more than I do. Can we sit here and say that he is not looking into this as we speak?" I say.

"True, but I think you should talk to him Ana. Let him know how your feeling about the incident. Don't bottle it up. I think you are doing fine. If you have restless nights, nightmares or anxiety about this whole Jose situation, please call me," I nod and he concludes our quick session. I exit the office and head home with Sawyer.

CPOV

Taylor and I are trying to figure out how the hell Jose got into the gala last night. Unfortunately, there are no surveillance cameras where the event took place. My parents only have them on the front lawn. I know we weren't looking for him or even expected him to show up there, so I was shocked when she told me she had seen him. Was he there to scare her, or was he there to take her away? I am worried about Ana, with Jose out there and his whereabouts unknown to know Melanie harassing her, I don't know where her mind set is at. I asked her to talk with Flynn because of what happened. She said she was willing to talk with him so Sawyer took her to see him this morning.

"Taylor, what can we do to catch this guy? We need to figure out how he got inside. I spoke with my mother and I asked her if she gave Melanie and invite. She said she didn't especially after what happened. Melanie apparently came along with her parents. If I had known she was coming with them, we could have avoided her accosting Ana," I asked with frustration in my voice.

"Sir, I think he will slip. Criminals always do. One mistake is all it takes. We will catch him, whether it's by me or the police, but I promise you he will be apprehended. Just give it time. Also, regarding Miss Johnson, we will make sure she stays far away from Miss Steele. Sawyer already knows, I spoke with him this morning before he left with Miss Steele," Taylor says with confidence.

"Time?" I scoff, " Taylor you and I both know I am not a patient man," I say. He is right though. I have no choice but to wait. Ana called me to tell me she had finished her session with Flynn and she was on her way back to the apartment. I also need to call my dad to help me file a restraining order on Melanie. This is getting out of control. We already have one lunatic deal with, we really don't need another one.
