Klaus woke with a start a smile on his face with last night's events he rubbed his right eye as he shifted in the middle of the bed he lay in. It was then he realized he was not alone he peeked out of his left eye to the blonde at his side her hand underneath his shirt over his skin. While the room was familiar to him a thought crossed his mind that this was not the room or bed he had decided on sleeping in.

He saw the early morning begin to crawl through his window as he settled himself back in his free hand coming to rest lightly on her shoulder to not wake her. "I'm here," he whispered to his wife a small quirk in his smile at the notion. Her head buried in her pillow was a welcoming sight even if it was his own pillow his hand trailing a path to her neck then to her hair the loose ringlets curling in his fingers.

"You don't remember me," she said suddenly her eyes open piecing his stunned ones. "You don't want to or you would," she told him with resentment in her eyes as her hands went to his chest pushing him away from her, Caroline's fast moves away from Klaus saddening him. She supported herself up on her right elbow her other hand in a stop pose when he tried to get closer to her.

"I want to I just don't know how," Klaus explained though he wasn't convinced and neither was she considering how she shook her head beginning to get out of their bed. "I'm scared I'll be me and you'll leave again," he admitted getting out of bed just like her. "Wake up Nik," she yelled at him and his vision became obscured.

Klaus' upper half shot up from his bed shaking with sweat his sheets were wet as was his pillow and his brain felt like it was about to combust. "Caroline," he called for his wife but his voice was raspy his body hot his heart racing his brow wet with beads of sweats as he tried to regain control of his breathing. His other hand was under some weight.

It was a pretty blonde thing deep in her slumber it seemed a frown on her face at the feel of him trying to remove his hand. Klaus knew deep down he should get up, give her some space but the scent of the fiery blonde next to him propelled him to think otherwise as he is on the cusp of happiness this afternoon. He felt her nails clutching at his shirt her soft breath at his chest reminding him someone loved him every single time he felt it.

He began to absent mindedly hum 'Dream a little dream of me' to her as his fingers played with the waves in her hair imagining what they would look like on paper. It was an easy day, he thought wishing to whatever was out there that he could remember even a sliver of a moment with her as shifted in his arms snuggling in closer to him.

His name falling from her lips revealing to him why she was in such a good sleep state. He felt as if she was everything to him. Klaus knew he didn't need memories to love her because that coursed through his veins this very moment. It was Caroline who needed proof of their love which he wished he could give her.

A part of him secretly wished he was a few years back in the past instead of wrapped up in her at this moment because then at least he would have a chance of knowing how she discerns what he thinking before he says it. But no, every single time he blinks it's the present. And she's here with him her eyes filled with hope that at any moment the rubber band will snap and he'll just remember. At least she was asleep now he sighed scanning her face, her shut eyes and perfectly pouted lips curving into a smile.

He sat in silence contemplating his dilemma, his fingers tracing the line of her body without cause a he thought about the problem he thought he had compared to the ones he had now. There were years of differences not only here at home with Caroline but with his family, with his life. He had a job and a home to run with actual servants if Kol and Rebekah's stories were true. Thoughts span around in his head making it hurt so much he rubbed the back of his head before letting it drop on the headboard.

The sound stirred Caroline from her slumber her nose rubbing into his chest propping herself on her elbow as she realized how close they slept. She realized he was the sound she heard, "Are you alight?" she asked quickly brushing down her hair becoming self-conscious under his stare. His hands stopped her placing them in her lap as he tucked the rest of her wayward hair behind her ears making her smile.

"I'm fine," he assured her as his fingers ran down a particularly curly strand in the front stopping above her heart, "I just knocked myself a bit too hard." he said blinking the action interfering with the image of her dancing with him her wedding dress as it popped into his mind. "Did you sleep at all," her concerned tone shook him from his thoughts as he focused on her instead.

She looked sad as she saw the genuine confusion on his face his eyes puffy from lack of sleep which clearly answered her question, "As much as I could," he answered honestly making her sigh in relief that he wasn't about to lie to her. He scooted over closer his heat making goose bumps appear on her skin as she shivered, "But not nearly as much as you." Klaus said wiping some drool from her lips.

She could feel herself blushing her hand going to her mouth as she realized she had morning breath and he was looking at her like he really wanted to kiss her, "Hey be nice," she said distracting their train of thought as she swatted him, "I'm delicate." He chuckled at her as he lifted one leg up sliding it under the other propping his elbow on his knee as he viewed her. "Sure you are," he laughed as she hit him again.

She gave him a look that clearly said he deserved it as she pulled the comforter off of her person thinking Klaus was right his bed was amazing but so was the company. "You want some breakfast?" she asked feeling the lightest she had in weeks. He looked dead at her now no smirk on his lips as he pointed to the alarm clock on her right, "It's almost four in the afternoon Love." He said.

Caroline saw no problem with it as she stretched out her arms smiling as Klaus so obviously stared her down, "So," she asked feeling his arm wrap around her waist loosely pulling her even closer before that as he placed his lips atop her hair droning, "So I think I know how to make waffles but we have to track down a griddle."

Caroline giggled enjoying his unusually playful mood, "Ah yes keep singing," she sighed placing her arm over his shoulders her hand at the nape of his neck. "I like your tune," she found herself enjoying him and the sunshine outside all the more as he spoke. "Ha ha, and if I know myself at all there's coffee," he eyed her smiling when her face lit up and she nodded her head, "And tea," he put a hand to his chest, "And syrup for the pancakes." He finished saying.

"Yes I love this verse," she squealed uncaring of her morning breath then as she felt his face move closer to hers, "And butter for and eggs maybe some bacon," he said making her hum in delight shutting her eyes as she felt his scruff by her cheek. He pressed a quick kiss to her lips before she had a second to protest, "Now come my wife we must eat!" he said in a decorous tone as he stood up on his knees.

Caroline followed suit unable to keep her smile at bay, "Yes dear husband." she laughed out as he swung her up in his arms before tossing her over his shoulder in one swift motion carrying her of off the bed. "You have to put me down Nik," she exclaimed giggling as he wrapped his arms tightly around her thighs coughing out, "Your back." as an excuse as he made her dizzy with his antics.

"I'm fine," he calls behind him as he begins down the stairs wincing after his first step down as a pain pulsates through his spine weakening his knee. He felt his leg tremble as he sunk down on the stairs carefully placing Caroline beside him. "I'm not going to say I told you so," he looked at her thankfully before she arched her brow finishing her sentence. "But I did tell you."

He placed a sole finger over her lush lips enjoying the sight of her even if she was rightfully putting him in his place. "Shush Sweetheart," her mouth popped open at his request moving under his fingers stirring something deep inside of him, "Or no waffles." he said creasing his eyebrow and taking her smaller hand in his before he kissed her temple.

Caroline pouted her eyes narrowing at him as she mumbled, "I'll do it for the waffles," she said taking her hand from his so she may cross her arms at him. "Not you," she said hating that he put his hand to his heart as if offended before she turned around to walk towards the kitchen hearing him follow after her as he called ahead, "Yes you will." In a teasing tone making her turn her head to say, "Oh shush!"

Klaus jogged a bit catching up to her ignoring any other protest from his body as he stepped in next to her walking beside her, "You first," he said making her head turn at his childlike action reminding her of the playground. Without thinking and before she could stop herself she said, "No you," tossing her head in a challenging manner as they made it to their destination the kitchen.

Klaus caught her swinging hand spinning her around to face him the movement making her land close to his chest as he whispered to her, "Make me." Her eyes were on his lips, his smile before she looked up at his eyes accepting his challenge it seemed as she craned her neck and stood up on the tips of her toes kissing him, "You insisted," she said blushing as she strutted away from him into the kitchen.

Katerina sauntered around her office cleaning up files that had sat unmoved for ages picking them up from their small piles and back into her filing cabinets. The more she worked the more annoyed she became with him, the one with the suits that clearly held her heart in his hands for years on end and most definitely for all of eternity.

She sighed as she heard her office door open knowing instantly it was him because think of the devil and he will come, she kept her back to him unable to even face him. She heard him sigh as if to give in a part of him she had never seen. Shaking her head she went back to work making a point of ignoring him even as he sat down in her office chair watching, waiting for some sort of response from her.

His will power was strong but hers was stronger, so she would make sure he didn't budge anything from her she didn't want to offer up already. After ten minutes of deliberating with herself she sighed too dropping one of her law books on her desk after she turned enjoying the surprised look on his face. "Elijah," she said disappointment ringing in his ears.

Her curls fell over her face as she ran her hands over the old book, "Eli," she murmured her head craning to look at him as she leaned over the side of her desk next to him. Her plain expression didn't change; a poker face he thought as he placed his hand over her arm rest. "Enough Katerina." He said unhappily as she continued in her silence making his insides knot up.

"You have to tell them all they have to do is sign and then they're divorced," she almost shouted at him as she thrust her hand into his shoulder igniting a response from him that was soon after enacted as he stood up taking her arm off of his suit jacket he looked as if he was trying to swallow his need to break from his noble exterior.

She watched as that one vein in his neck began to appear throbbing in his annoyance at not only her reluctance to accept their reality but to let Klaus' happiness hang in the balance. "I - we that is." He tilted his head the chair rolling back as he moved into her personal space, "Already decided to wait until Monday." He clarified yet again unsure of what language she wanted it said in to understand.

"They," she emphasized, "Did not decide that!" she shouted this time angry that he wasn't getting it just yet. Why she was angry at him specifically even if it was at his mother's wish. It meant that if they were both in his brother's position he wouldn't fight for them. "You did." She sighed giving in as she moved away from him.

Elijah watched her take her coat from the shelving unit she like to toss it on usually his eyes following her around the room when he realized her name plate was missing off of the top of her desk along with a few frames on top. "You think it was my idea?" he asked incredulously as he searched the room for more of her belongings not finding them anywhere.

Kat took her bag from the hook she had by the door turning to look at him one last time before she left for good maybe, "I know that you have some sort of sick family guilt that your mother imposes on you any chance she gets but what happened to your nobility?" she asked in a quiet tone. His eyes widened at the underlying hurt in her voice as she placed her hand on the knob.

"Kat," he called relieved when she paused at the exit, "Please stop." He asked in an exasperated tone meaning for her to wait for him but she shook her head, "I'll stop for now because I won't be back." His eyes shot up to hers thinking this was it, she would leave him now for good. "Until Tuesday when you've already told them." He felt the tightening in his chest release at her words.

His happiness was short-lived when he remembered, "What about our date tonight?" he asked moving to the middle of her office as she faced him fully throwing her jacket into her big bag. "Canceled," she made a face as she touched her forehead, "I have a headache." Elijah was losing patience for the only Petrova he wanted in his life.

"We both know that is not true," he said annoyed as he paced to the end of the room where she was placing a hand on the door to keep her from shutting it in his face as she explained herself. Her dark eyes bore into his seething he felt heat at the back of his neck from the sheer force of her, "Are you a doctor now too?" she asked before she slammed the door on his face squishing his fingers.

Caroline began cleaning after him nerves coming in full force she felt full of energy and in dire need to burn it off as she watched him steadily work to make her breakfast. No one had ever made her breakfast before except him. Twice. He was making her favorite again with her even reminding him like a part of him already knew.

Klaus smirked feeling her eyes on his back as he cracked eggs separating the yellow from the white before he scrambled them about tossing them into the already searing hot pan. The sizzle made his stomach growl as he set to work making sure not to burn any of it. He heard her move into the cleaning supplies closet as he checked his cabinets for mixing bowls.

He took the pan off of the stove setting it aside once the eggs were perfect, walking to the other end of the kitchen across from where Caroline was currently filling a bucket of water he smiled at the domesticity they were involved in. Klaus then went into the pantry finding exactly what he needed to make the pancakes from scratch, along with syrup for afterwards.

He knew he was gone maybe two minutes but the room already looked brighter, cleaner, dusted even but Caroline was nowhere in his eye line to be seen. Especially with all the things he was carrying so he placed them on the counter sorting them by thing he would need right away to the things he would use last. He heard labored breathing coming from under him by his feet surprising him.

He looked down to see Caroline underneath the kitchen island scrubbing at the sides of opening it was then he looked up and noticed that the bar stools had been moved back for her to crawl underneath. In an instant he knew she was stress cleaning. That was the only explanation for cleaning things that were already as sanitary as they could get. Plus he had a sister who did the same thing.

"I'm sure it wasn't all bad," Klaus tested speaking of their former relationship hearing her halt her movements glad he had said it he stepped back to look at her better in an effort to soothe her nervous mind. He moved down closer towards her as she tossed the microfiber rag into a bucket of cleaning supplies her cheeks flushed from her hard work.

She huffed looking up at him from her position on the floor blowing her hair from her face before she responded, "Oh, why's that?" before she turned her back on him still on her knees as she inspected the now sparkling tile of their kitchen. He got on his knees along with her before he moved the bucket out of her grasp and stood in front of her grabbing her shoulder to get her attention.

Caroline's hand came up over his in an effort to get away but he caught it pulling her up to him instead. Klaus waited until he could sense her calming down the huffy expression leaving her face as his eyes dilated taking in the sight of her, "Because when my eyes drift to your lips you blush." He smiled until his cheeks hurt from joy at the sight of her blushing all over again her eyes avoiding his.

Elena knocked on Bonnie's door after yet another argument with Damon which was about to escalate before she stormed off. She didn't want to fight again especially over Caroline when she was simply here to support her friend something Caroline would do for her in return if given the chance. So what if she didn't exactly know when she would be heading back home.

She was blinded by her determination seeing red as she crossed her hallway to Bonnie's room at the hotel they were staying in glad they had gotten separate rooms for once. It was then she knocked into Kol meeting him halfway in the hall unsurprisingly. She lay on her back trying to get air back into her lungs as he got himself up. After they both established they were alright Kol helped her upright.

Elena brushed back her hair as she crossed her arms fixing him with a hard stare as she asked, "Is she in there," unsure of whether or not he could trust her friend's heart to someone like Kol. Granted she didn't know him but still Rebekah talked a lot about him at the wedding so if his own sister was worried surely she should be too right?

Kol looked at her with humor as he looked her over trying to gauge if she was actually asking him a serious question. After a few beat he decided she was but he wasn't about to be intimidated by a pretty girl with pretty language, "I guess we'll both find out." He pulled out the key card swiping it over the door hearing the clicking sound that would let them in.

He placed his hand on the door knob to open the door but before he could Elena put her hand over his wrist making him look at her. "You know if you break her heart Caroline and I will kill you." She said in a low tone as she removed her hand letting him open the door. "If I break her heart she can take care of herself," he dismissed before he opened her hotel door.

They walked in seeing the other brunette still very much asleep from her late night excursions with Kol Elena felt a mix of happiness and nausea that her friend was having a good time before she looked at Kol's smiling face her own face immediately frowning. "Bonnie wake up," she said loudly making the girl in bed wiggle around in the sheets pouting as she said, "No." in response.

"Darling its almost evening you can't still be tired from last night," Kol said enjoying the look on both women's faces as his lady-love rose up from the bed like the dead. "Kol!" she shouted throwing a pillow at him which he conveniently dodged at the last second. "What?" he asked amused.

"We have to talk," Elena said for the moment stopping their fight like she did her own as she cautiously sat at the foot of the bed. Bonnie looked sheepish as Kol simpered sitting down next to her taking some of the blanket for himself. She leaned into his chest as they waited for Elena to speak, Elena who was stunned at this development in either of the twos character.

Remembering herself she cleared her throat, "I heard Elijah and his mother," she said picking off an imaginary piece of something from her pant leg. "My mother," Kol interjected reminding them that he was also a part of the Mikaelson family as if they could forget. "Whatever," Bonnie told him waving away his words as he kissed her lips.

Elena once again managed to keep her breakfast down as she spoke again, "I heard them say something about the man who married Caroline and Klaus." She said slowly her eyes shifting as if someone else was there perhaps hiding underneath the bed to listen in. Kol shook his head disbelievingly making both women look at him.

"I knew they were hiding something but I didn't think it was a whole person," he said annoyed that they had kept this from him and Rebekah. No wonder Kat was gone for the weekend, she liked getting her hands dirty but it was never personal that's why she became a lawyer in the first place. "What do you mean?" Bonnie asks hitting his shoulder to snap him out of it.

Kol pulled her closer as he began to explain, "Elijah wouldn't say to either Rebekah or me." Bonnie's face fell at the idea that it was the end of the story as he continued, "But if that man is here, then it is likely that they found the marriage license. Possibly the one Bekah's been hiding." He winced waiting for their reactions knowing they wouldn't disappoint. "What?!" both girls cried

"Hang on," he said putting a hand to his left ear as he took his phone from his pocket to call the one person who could give him answers. "I have to confirm something right quick," he pulled up his phonebook and called his sister, "Bekah," he breathed as she answered in her usual snarky tone, "Do you still have it?" he inquired in the same tone Elena had earlier.

He felt the tension not only in the room but over his phone call coming from his sister in waved as she hissed into the speaker, "Yes why wouldn't I?" assuring him. He quickly went about explaining what Elena had overheard. "Because the justice is here now that meant either you gave up the document or he found another way." Kol finished his sister on speaker by now.

"Kol get to the house," his sister demanded, "We have to strategize." Rebekah said to him as his eyes bore into Bonnie's their love fest making Elena feel sick as they stared doe-eyed at one another. "I can't at the moment sister." His nose rubbed against hers before he moved back to the phone, "I have two women in Bonnie's room." he joked earning glares from both girls

Rebekah almost growled an inhuman impatient sound coming from her end before she said, "We both know Bonnie's stolen your previously cold gray heart." She took a dig at him making Kol glare at the receiver before he looked back at Bonnie who was blushing. "Bekah silence," he said as he hung up three women breaking into laughter over him.

Rebekah nearly sprinted over to where Stefan was on the couch drinking the now cold tea Rebekah's mother had sent to them before she left the house mysteriously. Spilling her cup over the tray she told her mother's maid to leave it, "Stefan can you help me get a towel to clean that up." She said pointing to the kitchen with her eyes.

"Stefan," she called leaving him to go after her, her heels clicking on the marble tiles floor, "You don't clean on the weekend," he said before realizing there was some sort of play in the works he got up dismissing himself from the room. He began steadily walking to the hall before he scurried the rest of the way out of sight until he caught up with his girlfriend.

She stopped at the edge of the kitchen where the French doors opened up motioning for him to follow her outside. Once she had shut the door behind them she pulled his arm to move him closer to her, "What are we really doing in the kitchen because you won't start dinner for another two hours." He said knowing her all too well.

"We had to ditch the whistle-blower before I told you what I just found out," she whispered paranoia striking as she shifted her eyes. Stefan didn't have the same feeling; in fact even after what had happened in the last few weeks and all the odd jobs her brothers had sent him on he still believed there was a good side to people. "Not everything your family does bodes conspiracy."

He was on a roll by then, "You're all paranoid you know?" he asked noticing he was pacing back and forth by now feeling just as nervous as he because maybe she knew about the ring he had carried around and was about to ruin everything by confronting him. Rebekah placed her hands on his shoulders stopping him, "Will you let me finish please." She pleaded.

Stefan reluctantly agreed his hand going to the pocket of his jacket as he said, "Go on," his fingers landing on the small box that held their future. If she said yes, he thought trying to keep his face straight as she began to speak. "I've found out what Elijah and mother have hidden from us." She said.

Stefan felt himself release a breath a little disappointed but surprised overall by the news he was about to ask her to continue slipping his hand out of his pocket as he did. They both turned at the noise of the door creaking seeing her mother's maid come into the kitchen with the tray of spilled over tea, "He's taking us on vacation soon!" she blurted out confusing her boyfriend even more.

Damon peeked his head into the room looking for Katherine, "Kitty Kat," he called his old girlfriend from her wooden brown door slipping into her office quietly as he could. He shut the door behind him carefully as he could before he slipped off his coat, "No Elijah's mother," Esther's voice rang out cold running down his back as he stilled in his movements sliding his coat back on.

"Ah," he cried his hand to his chest shocked to see anyone there especially not the person the room belonged to, "You scared me," he said as he backed away from the visitor's chairs. "That much is clear," she answered shrewdly upset her plans had been ruined by the baboon in front of her, "What are you doing here?" she wanted to know her glare was hard on his eyes.

Damon stumbled back at a loss for an explanation he was just here because he was upset with Elena, "I was just coming to check on her she said she was stuck at work." He realized now what a con that was it seemed all women were avoiding him. "Clearly she lied, is there a reason you were looking for my son's assistant?" Esther's voice reminded him it wasn't the time to wallow.

He smirked, "I think we both know there's more to them than that." Damon replied wanting to save some face after she turned him into an eight year old two seconds ago. "Yes we do." Her eyes seem to narrow on him further, "So then why are you here when you have an American replica of her in your hotel room?" she inquired from the desk where she was standing.

Damon tucked his hands into his jeans, "I just wanted to see what she was up to these days," he winked at Esther he realized too late that was a mistake as she stood up, "Catch up on old times." He finished lamely. "Consider your selves caught up," she said walking around the desk. "Right then goodbye," he said pointing a metaphorical gun to her as if to say sure thing before he holstered it. "Goodbye." She said.

Caroline shielded the sun from her eyes as she looked up at the orange sky, "Now that is going to be beautiful sunset," she sighed eating the last of the pint of ice cream they had found in the fridge after he scarfed down all the waffles and syrup. She shut her eyes at how good it felt to have the last spoonful of vanilla bean in her mouth the cold mixing with her warm mouth.

Klaus' eyes seemed to drift directly there as she spoke, "It is distracting to say the least," he said feeling his throat dry by watching her lick the spoon. Paying no never mind to the almost retreating sun as they sat on the bench outside in his garden. Where they had set themselves up after a filling breakfast of pancakes and coffee and once again she out ate him.

"I couldn't ask for more right now you know," she said making conversation as she began moving on to the ground to lay on her back her hair in the grass. "The sky is crazy colorful right now," she said her hand up above her head as if to show him. Her dress rode up slightly at her thighs distracting him a shiver running down his spine at that thought that already had those legs wrapped around him before and he couldn't remember it.

"Give it a few minutes," he murmured as he leaned over her as he moved to sit on the ground next to Caroline still sitting up. "Shut up spoil sport," she said swatting his chest which seemed to be becoming a theme as he pretended to be offended to make her smile. "Lie down with me," she slowly said as she tugged on his arm pleadingly.

He looked her contemplating her words as she took his hand in hers, "Please," she blinked her eyes at him playfully as she said so. He had to fight the urge to take her right then when she seemed to be pleading for him to not only lie with her in the grass of their backyard but to also to fervently kiss her until she was delirious.

He scooted over lying on his back right next to her, "That cloud looks like a white stallion with gray spots." Her eyes followed his finger to the cloud he meant laughing at the oddly shaped bank of a cloud, "Maybe a pony," she said observing the poufy curves. "A white and pink pony." She felt herself laugh a gentle caress on her side where he lay along with her feeling a deep need to turn over and kiss him.

"Caroline," he said but it was more of an underlying worry which made her forget her crazy horn dog thoughts and look at him, "Your wedding dress was beautiful." Her eyes almost bugged out, she felt it, her heart racing at the notion that maybe, "I remembered that much earlier when I hit my head." He looked disappointed and she realized he really couldn't remember her.

She tried not to cry, in fact she pleaded with herself not to as she felt her eyes brim a smile breaking out on her face as she tried to joke, "Should I hit you then?" her hand went to his hair at the nape of his neck tugging at the tiny curls there. His head moved to nestle into her hand laying over it, "Just in case then?" she asked.

Klaus took a deep breath, "I'm serious Caroline," he told her his lips on her wrist, "It was lovely." His hand flipped back running his fingers over her arm, "You looked inconceivably stunning." His eyes went from his fingers to her face looking so lovingly into her eyes she wished for a second it was really him. "I think you're just biased because you're my husband." She finally said her thumb gliding over his cheek.

"You're my wife," he agreed liking the way that sounded coming from his mouth, "But that doesn't make me a liar," he murmured as he rolled on to his side to look deeply into her eyes making her think about how smooth he always was memory or not. "You're crazy," she sighed her voice even lower than his under the darkening sky.

"Why wouldn't you believe me Caroline," he asked unaffectedly not expecting an answer, "You're strong," he moved to support himself on his elbow, "You're beautiful," his left hand reached over finding its place by her head as he leaned down, "You're full of light." His right hand came up away from her arm wiping a traitorous stray tear from her eye.

"Shut up," she warned him feeling more tears on the way if he kept going on like this about things he didn't know about. He laughed his head waving her off, "Ha I enjoy you that will never change because even when you perplex me," his hand went to his own head pointing to it. "Especially when you challenge me, it makes me feel like I'll never tire of you."

He began to play with a bit of grass he plucked from the earth as he watched her reaction to him, "I'll still love you when my back hurts from old age," she looked as if she was about to interject that his back already hurt so he corrected himself. "Not repeated car accidents." He eyed her not seeing a reason to ever look away hoping he had save the best parts of him for her.

"I love you now and I only know a handful of things about you," he affirmed chucking away the bots of grass he had in his hands. "I love when you sigh, when your chest heaves to take a new breath because you're alive and here with me." He said kissing the side of her face, "I love how when you think you get that little crease in your forehead," he kissed the spot at her temple, "I love that permanent flush on your cheeks too."

He finished kissing her cheek right by the corner of her mouth, Caroline blushed feeling exposed as her body shook craving his kiss, his lips on hers as she steeled her nerves the need to change the subject coming up quickly, "What do you suppose we should do before Monday?" she asked nervously seeing his face fall.

He cleared his throat at her obvious dismissal of how he felt, "We could," he scratched his neck as he mumbled, "I dunno go on a date." So low her head came up to her him bumping her head with his from their proximity. "A date," Caroline exclaimed as she rubbed her head and his sitting up hoping she hadn't misheard him considering his request came before the head banging.

"Yeah um if you want," he said apprehensively as he moved to get up his head still in pain almost as much as his ego at the present moment in time. She saw him moving away from her and as quick as she could she stopped him by then both of them were on their knees. "I'd love to!" she responded her hands over his forearms trying to steady herself.

He felt like floating on one of the now invisible clouds in the sky when she said that, "Fantastic," he said eagerly standing up along with her, "Come on." He called for her as he began trekking towards the house. "What right now?" she asked picking up the empty tub and spoons as she went following after him he stopped taking her hand in his rushing them back inside.

Klaus took the empty canister from her hands and tossed it into the trash along with the silver spoon in his excitement before he realized what he did. "Well I'll get those later," he took her hand guiding her from the kitchen, "There's not a better time than the present," he said to her, "If I have this time why not use it we could possibly be on our third date by Monday."

Caroline stopped walking "You've thought about this," she interjected pulling him back as he kept walking with her hand in his. Klaus turned around surprised, "Of course," he said using his greatest power, those dimples. "Haven't you?" he asked shifting on his feet to observe her clearly she hadn't even in the slightest.

"Well yes," she lied coolly his eyes telling her he didn't believe a word she could barely look at him when he got like this. All cute and goofy staring at her like she was the one thing he would live and die for, he was sick individual using every tool he had in his arsenal against her. How could he make her feel like that and not remember her?

Klaus crossed his arms still surveying her he began to pace around her as she shifted on her own feet not liking the feeling of being watched like a bird in a cage or a fish in a bowl, whatever. "Then what is the problem Caroline?" he finally just asked stopping in front of her again. "There isn't one oddly enough," she asserted flipping her hair back.

"Good," he held as he took her hand once again this time a bit firmer so she wouldn't try to let go until he got to where he was headed. Caroline's legs were working twice as hard as his own matching his long strides to another part of the house. So many rooms to keep up with, she thought as she passed a few more doors in a blur, "So where are we going," she asked him.

"We're going to send the entire night watching movies of different genres until dawn." He informed her making her eyebrows shoot up, "Where we will once again wake up with you using me as a pillow." He winked at her as they stopped in front of the last door at the end of the hallway. She huffed, "I just happened it wasn't planned don't go getting a big head over it." She replied unthinkingly.

Klaus eyed her willing himself not to laugh at all the ways he could take that sentence most of them not PG, she looks down hand on her face her other hand pointing at him, "Don't - don't even! I already thought about it in my head. It sounded so wrong so just hush." She reprimanded him for thinking in such a way when what she said wasn't so bad and not that great of an innuendo.

Caroline stepped into the room right after him as he switched on the lights the room instantly becoming illuminated in soft light. She tried to hold her gasp as she looked at the theatre style room he had the projector above their heads and a simple sheet attached to the wall as a screen. "When did you have time to do this?" she asked as she stepped on top of the mattress he had set up on the floor.

"When you were in the shower," he answered shortly not wanting to explain his idle hands problem when it came to her. "So do you want to get started," he asked removing his shirt in front of her. "Started," she asked swallowing hard at the long planes of his body feeling the need to lick something, she settled for her lips.

"You aren't going to sleep in that are you?" Klaus asked gesturing to her strapless sundress already filled with wrinkles that would no doubt never come out now. "Here, put this on," he said handing her his shirt in clear provocation. He was asking if she was too chicken to take it, paying her back for her naked stunt at the hospital.

"Thanks," she muttered as she took it off his hands feeling the fabric still warm as she swallowed again, "Don't you have a movie to be turning on or something," she asked as he watched her take the hem of the shirt in her fingers. He turned around to set up the DVD player picking an old black and white film he went to the projector remote flipping the light on.

He turned his head slightly to make sure it had actually turned on only to find his wife's shadow against the wall. Her naked shadow, he tried not to make a sound as he watched out of the corner of his eye her lithe body working its way into his shirt. He certainly asked for this didn't he? He turned his head before he got caught knocking over the stack of DVD's he had lined up by the DVD player.

"You can look now," her voice rang in his ears as he finished picking up each movie stacking them back where they belonged. "Thanks," he sighed feeling dirty as he turned to look at her and sure enough she was dressed in his shirt, "Movies on," he said as the opening credits stared up taking a seat by her dress on the mattress.

Soon after Caroline sighed as the ending credits rolled around she clicked off the movie looking over at Klaus who was fast asleep next to her. This time he was wrapped up in her arms a smile gracing her lips as she thought back to earlier when she meanly teased him as she put in his shirt. She barely bit back her laugh as she heard him drop all the movies to the floor.

Her fingers ran over his shirt, "I love you Niklaus Mikaelson so you better come back to me," she said as she pressed a soft kiss to his parted lips. She left her lips on his opening her eyes when she felt his lips move too pressing his harder into hers before he murmured, " Don't worry I will." He pressed another sweet kiss to her lips tucking her into his side not caring if she hogged the whole blanket as she moved.
