Sesshoumaru met his mother's gaze over the rim of his teacup. She is planning something. The Western Lady's appetite for drama was considerable, frequently sending the clans in a tizzy while remaining aloof from the petty machinations of other bitches. She used her rank, beauty, and wits to keep them all under her heel. As family, he was somewhat elevated; she merely tried to keep him under her thumb.
"Blue?" she remarked casually.
"Hnn."
"I thought you disdained blue."
"I should go."
"No, no," the Western Lady countered, her gaze flitting to Kagome. "We three will prepare for moonrise together."
