Chapter 58: Shadowy Meeting
Kagome retraced the route to the castle tower, but the avenues looked different in the dark. There should be stairs just ahead... I think? Or was there another turning? I wish there were more lanterns! As she trotted around a sharp corner, Kagome bumped into someone coming from the other direction. "Excuse me!" she quietly exclaimed as a powerfully-built youkai with dark hair steadied her.
He bore three daggers, and his eyes flashed silver in the moonlight. "You're human! Who would have brought a human here?" he asked in surprise.
"S-sesshoumaru-sama," she replied breathlessly. Muttering another apology, she hurried on.
