Jaune was down on his luck even before he found himself getting mugged in an alleyway. The last person he expected to be saved by was a man even more beaten up than he. Junior might not have been perfect but he and his gang made their own destiny, no matter what life threw at them. Junior's gang represented the one thing Jaune never knew he needed - the chance to prove himself.

It was a perfectly normal night for Team RWBY, they chatted and laughed, then went to bed, but that night, something will happen to them, something never seen before, and no one was ready for it. this is an AU, i do not own any of the characters, all rights to the characters belong to Rooster teeth.

At the end of his first term at Beacon, Jaune goes back to Mistral to have awkward conversations with his parents, embarrassing conversations with his sisters and to meet up with Pyrrha. At the same time Qrow and Glynda pursue their enquiries in Mistral and Atlas to try and thwart Salem's plans while later Weiss reluctantly spends a fortnight in Atlas.
