Bella's Point of View

It was nearly five in the evening when I got the frantic phone call, alerting me that my daughter Kora was in the process of delivering her twins. I was helping Ezra finish up her nursery when the call came in. We had just finished the last coat of cotton candy pink on the hall's of Addison's room. Thankfully the baby was sleeping peacefully. Addison now had a full head of bronze curls. She was truly beautiful And now I would be welcoming two more gorgeous grandchildren.

Not to mention… I would be having another child of my own. But this time, there was no room for error. I wouldn't be able to rely on Edward to turn me, if I get close to death… there was no saving me. Regardless, I was very excited. I have been looking forward to having another child.

I made sure to make it in time for Kora to start delivering the twins. Daniel and I sat on each side of her, holding onto her hands. She had a death grip on our hands and at one point I felt a pop in my wrist. There was some minor pain, but I ignored it. I continued to speak words of encouragement as Kora pushed. The whole process took about four hours.

The first baby out was a little boy, he had a strong cry, it rattled the room. Dr. Franklin quickly took the baby and tended to him. Mila moved to the baby, taking over for Dr. Franklin so he could get back in position to get the next baby.

I couldn't take my eyes off the baby boy. As long as he was in Mila's hands I wouldn't let my guard down. I didn't trust her for even a minute, especially with my grandson. But soon I was distracted by the arrival of the next baby, it was a girl. This baby didn't cry, quite so loud, but her movements were strong. The girl's skin was a bit more pale than the boy's. But other than that, they almost appeared identical.

Once the babies were cleaned up and tended to, the twins were handed to Kora. The moment the babies touched her bare skin, they both stopped crying, they calmly went to sleep.

"I can't believe they are mine." Kora whispered, lightly cradling them. At the very top of the little boy's head, was a small patch of blonde hair. It was the same light blonde as Daniel's. While the girl had a soft mahogany brown patch of hair.

Kora passed the little girl over to Daniel and passed the little boy to me. She was completely exhausted, she fell in and out of sleep for a while.

"Did you guys think of any names?" I wondered, watching down at the sweet baby in my arms.

"I'd like to name the boy after my father, Zayne." Daniel smiled, glancing over to his son. Warmth was dancing in his eyes as he looked between the baby and Kora.

"That's a wonderful name," Kora yawned, reaching out to stroke the cheek of the baby boy. "It's nice to finally meet you, Zayne."

"And what about the girl?" I asked with a gentle laugh.

"Alice helped me come up with a perfect name. I'd like to call her Zoey. I watched their names start with the same letter… sense they are twins." Kora admitted with a sheepish look towards Daniel.

"I think Zoey is a perfect name." He responded with agreement.

I was so thankful that I got to be a part of this moment. The birth of my grandchildren. I will never forget this moment. I made sure to take plenty of pictures. I planned on making a huge picture book of the whole family. I was relieved that both twins were healthy and would be able to go home in about forty eight hours. Like Ezra had done with Addison, Kora would be staying at the clinic with her twins until they can be discharged.

Edward and Darius showed up with joyful expressions on their faces. They took turns holding the twins and cooing over them. It was heartwarming to watch. Of course once they moved Kora to her own room, Edward took a moment to make sure I was feeling alright.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, lightly placing his hand on my stomach. His other arm was wrapped around my shoulder.

"Perfectly fine, I think I'm over the nausea for the day." I smiled weakly, letting my hand slide over top of his.

Edward seemed pleased by my answer, he planted a soft kiss on my lips, before going to Dr. Franklin to get some further details on how Kora's delivery went. Darius had left as well, calling Alice to check in with her. He went to the waiting room to make the call. I followed Kora to where she would be staying until the twins were discharged.

Kora was settled in her room for the night, the twins stayed in the room as well. Daniel had stepped out to make a few phone calls. He wanted to update Jada and Emmett about the twins, they were his adoptive parents and was very close with them. He also was going to order some food from the local diner. I was thankful for that, I hadn't eaten yet today and it was already close to midnight.

There was a nice, soft recliner in the room that I decided to rest in. I was growing tired, I could barely keep my eyes open.

It wouldn't hurt to have a little nap.

I was just about to drift into sleep when my phone started ringing in my pocket. The sudden sound made me jump a little bit. I instantly dug in my pocket and answered it.

"Hello?" I muttered tiredly.

"Bella sweetie, how is Kora doing? Have the twins arrived? You said you would keep me updated." Rene's voice squeaked from the other end of the phone.

"Sorry about that mom, yeah the twins are here, a boy and a girl. They named them Zayne and Zoey. They are perfect." I couldn't help but smile.

"That's wonderful news, listen I know that I shouldn't be worried… but your father hasn't made it home yet. I was just wondering if you might know where he is."

That's odd, Charlie is usually never late getting home from work. Or at least, he would call to let Rene know if he was going to be late. I turned to look at the clock. It was nearly one in the morning now. Charlie's shift ended three hours ago. I had a gut feeling that something was wrong.

Victoria's Point of View

I knew that I was being a little reckless, but I couldn't help myself. All of the Cullen's were human, except for Edward. He would be a hard person to fool, just for the fact that he can read the minds of those around him. I would avoid him for now. I strolled around Ribbonwood, blending into the crowds of people. I had dyed my hair a deep black and put a pair of chocolate brown colored contacts in. I could almost pass for a human. Almost.

Everyone still seemed to watch me with suspicion. It was time to light the fire of this war. James was waiting for me outside of Ribbonwood. He was waiting by his phone. I would be sending him a text to signal him storming Ribbonwood. He wouldn't be alone. For the past few months we have been turning as many people as possible. We now had an army of newborns.

I found chief Swan alone in his office, he was getting ready to leave. He must have been very distracted, because he didn't hear me enter behind him. With some force I was able to grab him, it all felt like it was in slow motion. The second that I made contact with him, I used my abilities to corrupt his mind. I showed him images of what he desired most. His body was completely calm when I ripped his head from his shoulders.

Not only did I light Charlie on fire, but I set fire to the whole police barracks. This would send the message loud and clear. This was war. And I'm out for blood.

Let me hear your thoughts? Poor Charlie, it's sad to see him go.
