Darius' Point of View

"There is no damn way this is my father. Demetri is dead. Brady saw it happen right in front of him. You are the one that killed him." I spat in Mila's direction. I never realized how angry I was at Mila for the death of my father. I had been suppressing my rage for so long that I had forgotten how much I greatly despised this woman.

"A lot happened that night, but I can tell you with all honesty that this is indeed your father. I give you my absolute word on that." Mila said, glancing between Demetri and I.

I watched as Demetri crept further out of the shadows, giving me a wide smile as he approached me. "It's true son, I'm sorry that we had to fool you and everyone else."

I took a few steps back from him. "No, don't come near me. I need an explanation for all of this. Right now."

"Alright, let me start by asking you a question. Have you ever heard of multiple personality disorder?" Mila started, curling a finger around a couple strands of her hair.

"Of course, it's the existence of having multiple personality states in one person. It's usually caused by a past trauma. So what?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

"When I was human, I was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. I only had two personality states as a human. When I was turned into a vampire, I had hoped that I would be free of this disorder, but it has only grown. I'm only aware of five at the moment. But I don't have any control over them. One moment I'm safely in my lab, doing experiments… The next minute I'm doing awful things." Mila muttered, looking away from me with a look of shame coming to her face.

As angry as I was, I found her story fascinating. It was so rare to find someone like her. But there was no way to really know if she was telling the truth about it.

"So, you are saying that you aren't involved with using Brady's blood to turn my whole family into humans… but your other personalities may be involved in this." I said, trying to decipher her explanation.

"Exactly, I wasn't sure at first, but I've been secretly recording myself for months now and have figured out what exactly was going on." Mila nodded with a sigh.

"Well let's hear it, tell me what the hell is going on." I demanded.

"Two of my personalities are working side by side with Victoria and an old acquaintance of mine, his name is James. They have been working together to strategically turn the Cullen's into humans. And kill each one of them."

"This is insane. And you are trying to get me to believe that you have nothing to do with this plan? You are claiming it's just the other personalities inside of you that want to hurt my family?"

All of this was completely hard to believe. But that would explain why her thoughts and mind was cleared by Edward each time an incident happened. Mila didn't have any thoughts of betraying us. It was her inner personality that was involved. Edward wouldn't be able to read the minds of the other personalities, unless they are occupying the current personality state.

"This doesn't explain how my father is apparently alive." I huffed, letting my arms drop back down to hang at my sides.

"The night that I was doing my research on Brady was the first night that I suspected that my other alters were up to no good. I found a note in my lab jacket, that was in hand-writing that I didn't recognize. It only said, kill Demetri. So I switched Brady's blood sample a fake experimental drug and labeled it as Brady's blood. It was only luck that my alter used the fake drug on Demetri and not really Brady's blood the second time that it was given." Mila said, looking at Demetri with guilt in her eyes.

"B-But we all saw his body… at the funeral. He was human… his heart wasn't beating. He really was dead." I protested - feeling the sting of tears again in my eyes. The pain that stabbed in my chest was bewildering. I didn't know that my father's death was still so painful for me to recall. I thought that I would have been able to let the old fool go. It was disheartening to know that I still couldn't sever my ties to him. Even after all that he has done.

"Well we both knew that someone was watching us, we just weren't sure who it was. So we had to convince everyone that I really was dead. I'm sure you are familiar with my old friend, Valerie." Demetri said, offering me a smile.

"Sure, everyone in town knows Valerie. Her abilities allow her to change her appearance to anyone she has ever seen. I'm guessing that she was the one that took your place in the coffin. She made herself look like you…" Things were starting to make sense. But I still had a million burning questions in my mind.

"Exactly, once it was safe to remove her, we did and just reburied an empty coffin. Demetri has been here in his safe room ever since. I've been bringing him food and water." Mila said with a short smile.

"I can't believe you were able to do all this without anyone noticing you." I said, raising a brow at the both of them.

"I was thinking the same thing when we were getting Valerie out of that coffin. Apparently Ribbonwood security had been busy with something else. Or they don't post guards near the cemetery. Either way, it's something that really should be brought up in the next council meeting." Demetri muttered, shaking his head side to side.

"So… it really is you?" I asked, finally meeting his eye contact.

"It certainly is." Demetri looked at me, the same as he always did. But he was different. I could tell. His eyes were a dark brown, his olive skin was a little darker in color and the sound of his heartbeat was unmistakable. He was human. Mila's alter was able to force him into becoming human. But thanks to Mila's quick thinking, she prepared a false drug that prevented her alter from actually killing my father. What I didn't understand was why.

"Why have you been hiding down here all this time? Do you know how hurt I was… and Elijah. He left town and got married. I thought he wasn't going to pull through. It's a miracle that he bounced back." I said, jabbing a finger in his direction.

Demetri winced, taking a few steps so he was now directly in front of me and within reach of me. He pulled me into a warm embrace. I allowed him reluctantly. I wrapped my arms around him and permitted a few more tears to be shed.

"I'm so sorry. I should have told you sooner. But I wanted this to be a surprise to Victoria and James. They really think that I'm dead. So, now that they are making their move, I can take part in this fight."

"Sorry, but what exactly can you do? You're human now. You will be no match for Victoria and her army of newborns." I sighed, lightly pulling myself away from Demetri to run my hand through my hair.

"Well it's the craziest thing. I may be human… but I still have all my physical strength from when I was a vampire." Demetri said, shrugging his shoulders.

"What? How in the hell is that even possible?"

"That experimental drug must have done something to return some of my strength. It couldn't turn me back into a vampire. But I still am basically an impenetrable tank."

Mila chuckled, moving a little closer to the both of us. "I've been working on that drug for a long time. I was testing it on humans that had severe forms of diseases and cancers. It was meant to boost their body's immunity… give them more strength… I was never able to perfect it however… it turns out, that if given to someone that was born weak and sickly… it isn't effective. But if given to someone who was originally strong and healthy and isn't any more the body will return to its peak strength."

"That is incredible." I said with the slight drop of my jaw. The kinds of things that this woman was inventing were out of this world. It was on another level. I could only dream of being able to create something like that.

"I know this is a lot to take in and you have the right to not trust either of us, but we are here to help you all. You have a lot of sick people in the clinic that need this experimental drug. It will save lives." Mila sighed, chewing at her nails as she watched my expression.

I had to think about her words carefully. I wasn't sure if I was really the one to accept their help or not. This whole situation seemed much bigger than me. They should have gotten Dr. Franklin involved in this conversation, not me. Or Edward. I wasn't any kind of leader. I couldn't accept or deny anyone. I didn't have that authority. But there was no time to explain all of this to Edward. These patients needed help quickly. We had already lost one person. I couldn't stand to lose another.

"Because I can say yes to anything. I need to know that it's safe to give my patients. So… give me the experimental drug first. If it doesn't kill me… I'll let you help the others with this stuff.

"Darius," Demetri said with a look of concern. "That's a bit unreasonable. Don't you think? This medication is something to give those that are injured. It won't have any effects on you at all."

"Great, then there should be no problem with me testing this stupid crap, first before letting anyone else be a guine pig for this experiment." I said with a slight frown.

"Alright, that's fine then." Mila said, passing over a vile. The contents of the vile were black in color, but had the consistency of blood. There was no telling what was really in it. But if this could possibly save the lives of everyone here, I had to give it a chance.

With some hesitation I put the vile to my lips and downed the liquid in one shot. It had an awful metallic taste to it. I fought the urge to gag. However, within seconds I felt a rush of energy. I felt good, even better than I had felt before. It was almost like taking an energy shot.

"You should feel good now. As if you haven't been working tirelessly for hours." Mila said as she studied my expression closely. "I'll admit, I've never tested this on a half breed, such as yourself."

Of course she hasn't. She is perfectly fine with experimenting on people, no matter what may happen to them. Mila was insane.

"Well I do feel pretty good." I admitted, glancing between Mila and Demetri. "This is really risky… if Edward knows that you are here… he may not stop to ask questions. My mom is pregnant so he is a bit more aggressive and overly protective than usual."

"Bella is pregnant again…" Demetri muttered, his shoulders slumped for a moment. I could see the pain dancing in his eyes. He still harbored feelings for my mother. It was hard to explain, but it gave me a lot of hope. Part of me would really like to see the both of them at least become friends again.

"I understand, that's why I'd like you and Dr. Franklin to give this drug to everyone that comes in injured. I'll stay here with Demetri. We have some plans of our own to carry out." Mila said with a small smile.

"What do the two of you have planned?"

"We have a way to stop Victoria and James." Demetri said with a slight frown. He now laid his arm around Mila's shoulder. It was clear to me that the two of them had grown closer. The way that she clung to him and the way that he stood protectively at her side. I've never seen Demetri care for someone, other than my mom.

I could tell that he was getting close to Avery, when she was still alive. And I knew that he had been really trying to make it work with Rose for a while. But none of them truly held his affection. Not the way my mom did. But right now, standing here in front of the two of them. He really looked like he might be in love with Mila. It was disheartening, but at the same time I was happy to see that he had found someone else.

"Will you fill me in on your plan? Maybe there is something that I can do to help you guys." I said with a sigh.

"I'll be acting as one of my altra personalities. So I'll meet up with Victoria and James. They may be suspicious of me at first. But when they let their guard down, Demetri will run in and inject them with Brady's blood. This will turn them human. I will follow him with a second dose of Brady's blood, this will effectively kill them." Mila nodded with a serious expression on her face.

"You think you will be able to sneak right up to them?" I asked Demetri. "Don't you think this is a bit too dangerous… you may have all the strength and power of a vampire, but you are still human. You can get hurt… or worse."

"You have no need to worry. We have a team of others that will be the distraction. Victoria and James will be so focused on the others, they won't even notice that I'm there." Demetri commented, waving his hand - as if this whole situation was no big deal.

"Who are the others?"

"Ribbonwood's rotten apples. Stacie; who is currently a werewolf with strange powers. Valerie, the town slut - who can appear to be anyone that we choose. Brady, the hybrid monster and of course Mila and myself."

The Ribbonwood rotten apples. That name was so fitting for the group of them. They were people here in town that not many liked, or admired. In fact most of us thought of this group of people as scum of the earth, or criminals. It was hard to believe that they created their own task force against Victoria. I just wondered if Edward knew anything about this?

"How can I help?"

"Just stay here and be a good doctor to your patients." Mila said with the bob of her head. "We don't want anyone getting involved in this. If one of us dies Ribbonwood won't be affected nearly as badly, if one of the Cullens gets hurt."

"That's not true, you are a valued doctor here in Ribbonwood. We would be at a great loss without you." I argued.

"You all also wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for me and my alter personalities. Let me make this right. I promise that I will take Victoria down with my own hands. And I'll find a way to restore your family. They won't have to be human anymore."

I'm not sure if that was something that the rest of my family wanted. Everyone seemed really happy in their human state. Alice, my mother and Rosalie seem to be over the moon with being human. Even uncle Emmett was adapting to life as a human well. Honestly Mila might have done the Cullen's a favor. But while they stayed human, they wouldn't be able to protect themselves.

"What should I do?"

Mila and Demetri began filling my pockets with the drugs that would save my patients. "Get back to your job. Go ahead and give Dr. Franklin some of these drugs. He already knows what their purpose is for." Mila said with a wink.

"Dr. Franklin is involved with your group as well?" I raised a brow.

"Not quite, actually Dr. Franklin's son - Trever has been helping us. Trever has been willingly carrying out experiments. Because of the drug you are holding, Trever regained his previous body. His penius grew back and he is back to feeling great." Mila explained. "Trever revealed this drug to his father. Dr. Franklin thinks that Trever created them."

"This drug can grow body parts?" I felt my jaw drop open with a low pop.

"Technically yes, but that's not quite how it works. The drug simply causes the body to return to it's most healthy state. If someone was born without an arm; for example - this drug wouldn't be able to grow an arm for them. However if someone has lost an arm in battle the drug would restore the severed arm." Mila said with a sigh.

This was all a bit confusing, but this drug would be very helpful.

"Use it wisely son, we gave you all of the drugs that we had left." Demetri called out to me as I began back out towards the locker room.

This was a big responsibility. I split the vials in half. When I ran into Dr. Franklin I gave him half. That only left me with ten vials of the drug. That means that I should only use this for emergencies. If it looks like someone isn't going to make it. I gave two vials to Louis and two vials to Ingrid and explained to use them only for an emergency. Now I have six. I prayed that I wouldn't need to use them.

Jacob's Point of View

Victoria was making it extremely hard for us to capture her. She seemed to be able to predict our movements and escape each of our traps. James on the other hand was overly aggressive. He didn't seem to try avoiding any of us, he went forward with the intent to kill anyone that got in his path. We managed to evacuate most of the town. Half of the town was on lock down in the jail. While the other half was locked down at the school. The clinic was where most of the children, the wounded and the pregnant women were. It was just safer this way.

We had a few casualties, mostly humans that couldn't outrun the newborn army. But overall, we were doing a good job keeping everyone safe. I had vampires and wolves stationed at the evacuation sights and a few to guard the clinic; while we took care of the rest of the army. We had cut down the amount of newborns in half. But James and Victoria were still dodging us.

Victoria and James had begun making a run for the clinic, causing Sam, Remey and I to follow after them. The rest of the pack handled the rest of the newborns with ease.

We couldn't let them get inside of that clinic. We all had loved ones inside. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. My heart was throbbing under the strain and I couldn't hardly catch my breath. But I forced myself to continue on. Sam and Remey were directly behind me, struggling to keep up with my speed.

I zoned in on the flash of movement in front of the clinic and without another thought I struck. My teeth came in contact with something as hard as stone, but I sunk my teeth down as hard as I could.

The vampire I managed to hit was James. He roared in fury as he grabbed at my fur and attempted to rip me off of him.

Jake, hold on. We will assist. Sam's thoughts floated out to me.

No, go for Victoria. I can handle this one on my own. I answered him through our mind link. I tried to sound confident, but I wasn't so sure how this was going to turn out. The last time we had fought, he had nearly broken every bone in my body.

James and I went tumbling to the ground as I pulled him away from Victoria and the clinic. Sam and Remey arrived right on time to attack her before she was able to enter. I would leave it to them. I needed to focus on my fight with James. I was only able to pull him a few feet away before he ripped himself out of my grasp.

I winced as he had managed to pull a few handfuls of my hair out. He rolled away from me and stood up in a crouch. There was an evil smirk on his face as he turned to glare at me. "I thought I taught you a lesson last time mongrel. I guess I'll have to kill you this time."

If looks could kill, I would already be dead. I wasn't afraid of James, not in the slightest. As long as Ingrid was safe, I would be alright. No more running away. We will finish this. Today.

Quickly I went charging at him, aiming for his left leg. I planned on avenging Embry. I would rip each of his limbs off, then finish him off. I just had to be quick, he was still stronger than me.

I almost was able to bite into his leg, but he was too fast. He kicked me right in the face with enough force to send me flying. I would have gone much further backwards if it wasn't for the tree that I hit into. There was a splitting pain in my back as I landed on the ground.

The pain was bearable, but it did take me a second to stand back up.

"Come on dog, is that all you can do?" James sneered at me, letting his head fall back to laugh maniacally.

I was about to charge him once again, when someone came flying out of the woods. Right before my eyes I watched as Valerie attacked James with ferocity. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Valerie and I had an extensive history. We had been lovers… partners… but that ended the moment that I imprinted on Ingrid. It still hurts… that I put her through this. But to be honest I never thought Valerie truly cared for me. I thought that Valerie only saw me as a good time.

Maybe she really did care for me.

Valerie was able to get James pinned down, which gave me an opening to rush forward and rip into his neck. There was a lot of resistance, but I could hear the tearing of his flesh. His head was smoothly detached from his shoulders. There was no doubt that Valerie's attack had taken him by surprise. Thanks to her, we were able to kill James.

Valerie quickly lit a fire nearby and began tossing James' body into the flames. I walked over to her and leaned on her side. Her body went stiff for a moment, before turning her eyes to me. She bumped me with her hip.

"You didn't think I would just let that jerk kill you?" She responded, letting her hand reach out to stroke my shoulders. "I miss seeing you like this… a big strong wolf."

I felt a pinch in my heart at her words. Why did she have to make things so difficult. I still cared for her deeply. But my feelings for Ingrid were so much more.

"Anyway," Valerie sighed, leaning up to kiss my cheek. "I'll always love you Jacob. I may have not shown it much in the past. But it's true. I know you have decided to leave me. I deserve it. But I hope that we can remain friends."

I nodded my head, feeling a bit of relief. I was glad that she was able to let go of our past. We could just continue as friends.

"Well, we better give Sam and Remey a hand. It's going to take all of us to catch her." Valerie said, moving to get on my back.

I allowed her on top of me and went running back towards the clinic. We will end this today. Victoria would die.

Darius' Point of View

The last of the wounded had made it in through the doors of the clinic. I was concerned when I didn't find grandpa Charlie among the injured. Where could he be? If he didn't show up soon we would have to consider that he didn't make it. But that would destroy my mother. I couldn't be the one to tell her. It sounded as though there was fighting going on just outside the clinic. I badly wanted to go out there and help, but I had patients in here that needed my help. I've only had to use the drug once on someone, Will - the local school teacher had gotten attacked by a newborn; while protecting the school. Jacob's pack got to the school just in time and all the kids were safe. However Will was in the middle of transition into a vampire.

He begged me to do whatever I could to stop the transformation from happening. He made it clear that if he couldn't be saved, to kill him. I didn't know that Will felt so strongly about not becoming a vampire. But I respected his wishes. I wasn't sure if the drug would have any effect on him, but when I injected it in the site where he was bitten I watched as Will's anguish and pain vanished. It took nearly an hour but after that there was no longer any venom in his system. He remained human and perfectly healthy.

This drug is incredible. This was something that we needed to mass produce. It would change everything. The humans of Ribbonwood would have peace of mind.

This was something I had to start thinking about more. I would be bringing a child into this world and I wanted Ribbonwood to be the safest place for my kid to live in. If this was the kind of thing Mila was able to create, I wanted to work side by side on this with her.

I had been so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed Edward walk up behind me. He cleared his throat - bringing my attention to him.

"How is everything going?" He asked, raising a single brow.

There was no doubt that he has been scanning through my thoughts over the past few hours. He knew about Mila and Demetri. He knew about the plans. But I wasn't sure how much he was willing to trust the both of them. He hasn't said anything to my mom yet, most likely so she wouldn't follow him into the waiting room. If she knew what was going on she would want to come down here and help with the plan. But there was no way I was going to let that happen. She was human, and had no way of protecting herself.

"Everyone is going to be fine. All the critical patients are stable and doing well. Those with minor injuries are waiting comfortably for this whole thing to be over, so they can return home. How are things going with all the pregnant women?"

"They are mostly sleeping now, only Alice and Bella are still awake. I think it would be for the best if you went up to check on Alice, she is really worried about you. Since… we haven't seen much of you all day." Edward said, glancing outside. The sky was grey. Clouds hung over the whole town and fog began to roll in as the night time crept along. I still couldn't believe how long the fighting was going on.

Victoria was the last one left. The wolves were in pursuit of her, she was elusive. But I had faith that Jacob would find her and take her down. He just had to.

"I'll head up. What are you going to do?" I asked, taking a few steps past him.

"I'm going to find Charlie." Edward replied with a gloomy look coming to his face. He must have had the same suspicions as me. There was no way that grandpa Charlie was still alive. He would have been right in the middle of the battle, leading the troops against the newborn army. And at this point he would be calling and checking in on grandma Rene and my mom.

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No, I think Alice needs you the most right now. I'll be back as soon as I can. I'll be taking Mila and Demetri with me as well. Do you think Dr. Franklin, Louis and Ingrid - will be able to manage without them?"

I nodded with a slight smile. "Yeah, I'm sure they will be fine now. Good luck with finding grandpa."

With that Edward and I went our separate ways.

To be honest, I wasn't sure how tonight was going to affect the future of the Ribbonwood residents. This was a nightmare. I was just glad that everyone was safe. We didn't suffer many casualties. Now I could focus on my family. I just hope that everything will work out and Victoria will pay the ultimate price for her actions.

Edward's Point of View

I wasn't a huge fan of lying to anyone. But I knew if I told Darius that I was heading out to take care of Victoria myself, I wouldn't be able to stop him from coming along. Technically it wasn't a complete lie, I would be searching for any sign of Charlie, but that was only after we took down Victoria. It was finally time.

Demetri and Mila were running close behind me. I will continue to monitor their thoughts for now. I knew that Demetri's death seemed suspicious. But I never would have guessed that it was all a lie. Mila really had us fooled. And with her alter personalities jumping in and out, it was impossible to accurately read Mila's thoughts. That's why it never made sense to me how she was able to conceal everything from me. While unhindered by her alter personalities, Mila's thoughts had been pure and innocent.

Her alters had been working with Victoria and James. I wasn't sure how we could punish Mila for this. She wasn't helping them on purpose. She has a disorder that caused all of this to happen. However, once she figured out what was happening, she should have told us. She shouldn't have taken it upon herself to come up with this plan.

Putting that all aside for now, I could hear the thoughts of the wolf pack as we made it past the boundary line between Ribbonwood and the rest of the world. The wolves had Victoria circled, yet they were all frozen. Victoria was standing in the center, her arms tightly around one of the wolf's necks. It was a large black wolf. There was no doubt in my mind that she had Sam. It had to have been him.

That bitch is going to pay for this. One of the wolves thought. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the wolf pacing back and forth. He was a few feet away from the others. The edge to his voice was familiar.

Just calm down Jared, we aren't going to let anything happen to Sam. Jacob's thoughts now cut through all the rest of the thoughts. Causing everyone to go quiet. A calmness seemed to sweep through the pack, but their stances stayed tense.

"You flea-bags better back off and let me leave. Or I'll kill this one, right here… right now." Victoria snapped, glancing around at each of the wolves. Panic was clear on her expression. I could see that her clothes were torn to shreds, and bite marks peppered her skin. The pack managed to get a couple good bites in on her.

"There isn't much time left, we need to make our move." Demetri said with a huff. "What in the hell are we waiting for here?"

"If we make any move, she will kill Sam." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"One wolf dying, isn't going to be that bad. If his death means that we can end Victoria… I'm willing to do that." Demetri said, shrugging his shoulders.

"No, it doesn't have to be that way. Sam has put his life on the line to save Ribbonwood. I'm not about to let him die."

Mila moved to get in the middle of Demetri and I. She must have been sensing the beginning of an argument. "Look, there is a way around this. If we move in and Victoria attempts to kill Sam, we have a drug to give him… it may save his life."

"Are you sure? What if the drug doesn't work?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

The three of us had stopped nearly a mile away from where the wolves had Victoria cornered. We didn't have much time. She was getting impatient. If we don't act fast she may kill Sam anyway.

"It's the best chance that we have." She sighed.

There was a sudden noise coming from behind us, it sounded like the roar of a motorcycle engine. The three of us turned in time to see Elijah riding past us at incredible speed. He ripped around us, his black motorcycle squealing as he did so. He went charging straight for the wolves.

"That idiot." Demetri chuckled, shaking his head. "But this is perfect. They are all distracted now. Let's get Sam."

Quickly I darted off to the wolves, moving in and grabbing Sam away from Victoria. It's the fastest that I ever moved. By the time the wolves knew what happened, I had Sam away from Victoria. Before Victoria could react, Demetri came barreling in and pinned her down to the ground easily.

"Do it now Mila." He called out with a wide grin on his face.

"What the hell are you doing alive?" VIctoria gasped, struggling from underneath Demetri.

"Never mind that you crazy bitch." Demetri smirked.

Mila now was at his side, she pulled out a syringe and injected her with Brady's blood. The moment that the injection was given, Victoria's body began to tremble. Her breathing was fast as she let out a cry of agony. Demetri didn't move a muscle off of her. His hands moved around her neck.

"The second that you become completely human… Your life is over." He snickered, giving her neck a quick squeeze.

"Wait," I commanded. There was still something about all of this that felt wrong. We weren't murderers, we weren't like Victoria. "I have some questions."

"Make it quick Eddie." Demetri said with a heavy sigh. "I've been waiting a long time to end Victoria's life."

Victoria was clutching at her chest and sobbing now, but she turned on her side a little - well Demetri allowed her on her side just enough to make eye contact with me.

"Where is Charlie Swan?" I asked, watching her closely.

"He is ashes… I killed him myself." She muttered.

That's what I had feared. At that moment I wanted to be the one to rip Victoria's head from her shoulders. But I held back.

"One more question. Why did you do all this?" I asked with my eyes narrowed. She didn't look quite the same as she did before. She had dyed her hair black and she had put in colored contacts. During the fight she must have lost one of the contacts. One eye was brown and the other crimson red.

"Because when my sister Kathy was imprisoned she ended up getting killed. The Cullen's saved everyone but her. And when you all showed up to kill Caius… you saved everyone again… even me. But Kathy was the one that should have been saved… not me." Victoria screamed, tears were now sliding down her cheeks. "Kathy was the one that should have lived."

"If it was possible for us to save Kathy, we would have. She was killed before my family ever arrived in Italy." I spoke, trying to remain as calm as I could.

"Because of the Cullen's, I lived. The only family I had left died. You forced me to live… alone. You should have let me die. So I could be reunited with Kathy. I just wanted Bella to feel how I felt. I wanted her to survive… and the rest of her family die. Maybe then she would understand what you all did to me."

"If that's really how you feel… I can't allow you to die here." I said moving away from her to turn my back.

"What the hell are you talking about? We can't let her live. Not after what she has done here. Have you lost your mind Cullen?" Demetri growled.

"He is right Edward, this isn't a good idea. If she lives… there is no telling what might happen if my alter personalities come around. She may try to manipulate me." Mila spoke up, moving to my side with concern on her face.

"I'm sorry, but I can't sentence her to death. Not yet any way. She may not be a resident of Ribbonwood, but she is a criminal. And she is now human. She should stand trial. And be sentenced." I said turning around to look at the rest of the wolves.

A few of them seemed outraged, but for the most part, their thoughts revealed that they respected my wishes. This was how Carlisle would handle this situation. This was the kind of man that he wanted me to be.

Demetri was the most upset about this, he didn't make a move, he continued to pin her down to the ground.

"Demetri," I snapped at him.

He didn't respond, he only glared daggers down at Victoria.

"Dad," A voice spoke up from behind us.

We all turned in the direction of Elijah, who had parked his motorcycle and was now walking over to the rest of us. His helmet was still on his head as he approached us.

"Elijah," Demetri said with wide eyes. His smile slowly crept to his face. "It's really good to see you."

"Let her stand trial dad. People make mistakes. She may have done a lot of damage here… but I can almost understand it. Someone important to her died… she wanted everyone to hurt the way she was hurting." He said, putting a single hand on Demetri's shoulder.

Demetri's expression went soft and he lightly let go of Victoria. Elijah put a pair of handcuffs on Victoria and stood her up. "Let's take her back to the police barracks."

A few of the wolves went back to their human form and helped walk Victoria back into Ribbonwood. Elijah followed after them, on his motorcycle, throwing a wave to Demetri, before this disappeared from sight.

Was this it? Was this nightmare finally over?
