Chapter 594.
"Through the waters."
(Castaway Island.)
The day has shone once again onto the island in the middle of Lake Eddy, and the folks there are dressed for some summer fun and relaxation.
Luna and Sam are both tuning their ukuleles as they wear shades and are underneath an umbrella, and Michelle Lewis is reading a magazine and drinking some iced tea, while Becca is by the sandy shores and using her binoculars to keep an eye on the weather. She also spots Plessy at the distance eating some fish.
"Didn't think Cod would spawn in this place." Becca then takes note of this. 'Wait, the folks did do some exploration and observation of the wildlife on the island. Did they bother to see what wildlife lurks within the waters surrounding the island?'
Becca then looks towards Lincoln, Sid, Jordan, Adelaide, Ryan and Gretchen playing volleyball. 'I do recall from them, that they said there was a sighting of a Basking Shark here. Perhaps I could do some underwater diving.'
Becca then goes back to the beach house, and this gets the notice from Luna and Sam. "Huh, where the heck is she going?" asked Luna.
"No, clue but… Whoa, holy wow!" Sam is surprised by what she sees, and Luna also sees this.
Becca is in her scuba diving gear, and she heads to the water and she descends into the shallow waters. The two teens are surprised by one thing. "How the heck did she get changed so fast?"
Michelle then goes back to her magazine, but she feels like she's being watched and she turns around and sees nothing in the jungle. "Something doesn't feel right." She then goes back to her magazine and never minds what she thought she saw.
But she doesn't know that the eagles, are the ones who feel like something is terribly wrong, and so they scout the skies for anything odd or suspicious, and Bullets stands tall onto a nearby tree with Swellow and they look towards the jungle. They can tell something was watching them.
Meanwhile, Lincoln tosses the ball into the air and then it gets struck by Jordan, but then Adelaide knocks it back and then Ryan catches the ball and sends it back.
Gretchen manages to counter and Sid assists, then Lincoln nails the strike and the group on the other side try to intercept the ball, but they fail and it lands away from them. "Well, looks like you guys won" said Sid, she then gets up and goes after the ball.
"Dang, the dodge ball skills have made you good even in volleyball" replied Gretchen. "What are the odds that Lynn is gonna wanna try that out on ya?"
Lincoln chuckles. "Well, Lynn is someone who wants to see the full potential from someone who has the sports skills and then tenacity of a champ, but she knows not to meddle in my business. She learned that one the super hard way last year, too."
"Well, that was fun. What should we do next?" asked Adelaide.
"Well, we could do a lot more fun stuff on the island" said Ryan. "We already did some sand castles. They look to the sand castles they made, and Ryan's seems better because it looks like the Castle of Gondor from Lord of the Rings… Hold the phone, what?!
"But we have more other fun stuff to go through, we have the rest of the week of fun to enjoy this island stay guys" said Jordan. She then notices something. "Umm, where the heck is Sid?"
"Up here!" They all turn to the water and see Sid is riding on the head of Plessy. "I was gonna get the ball, but then she came out of the water and gave me a ride on her back, so I think I know what we can do for the time being."
Lincoln smirks, "Then so glad we brought out bags out here." Lincoln, Jordan, Ryan and Gretchen grab the breathing apparatus from FutureTech that was in the bag, and some phone attachments for their headbands and they all go to the water and dive.
Luna and Sam notice this. Then the lake monster surfaces with the kids on her back and then Lincoln calls out. "We'll be back later, guys!" Plessy then dives back into the water.
Luna and Sam chuckle and they go back to tuning their instruments. "Well, they're having fun. Should we join in on that?" asked Sam.
Luna thinks about this. "Lincoln and Jordan are old enough to handle being on the back of a friendly and very fast Lake monster, and with Sid and the others helping out, it wouldn't be a hassling issue, also they can keep a close eye on Adelaide. Though, I think she can take care of herself. She is a pro."
Sam chuckles. "She sure is, you think she can school the folks at the Royal Woods Mall dojo?" Just then they hear some snoring and they turn around and see that Michelle Lewis has fallen asleep. "Huh, well this seems normal."
Then Luna looks to the jungle and is getting suspicious. So, she goes back to what she was doing, and yet the eagles are feeling like something is watching them, all of them and that something feels like an annoying animal.
(Underwater.)
The lake monster continues his descent into the shallows, and then cruises through the current with the kids onboard and so he does some tricks as he spins and twirls while swimming and this makes the kids enjoy the ride.
Sid on the other hand is loving this so much. 'This is so much better than a Dairyland Amoosement Park ride!' She then sees Adelaide hold onto her and also smile to this awesome ride.
They continue their cruise through the water, and then they spot something that Lincoln and Jordan didn't know was there. 'Whoa! What?!'
They spot a large reef area, and a lot of fish are swimming within the corals that are thriving near the edges of the shallows of the island. They're phones are still attached to their foreheads and so they continue to record what they see.
They spot some amazing life going through the waters, and one such is a snake that comes out from a log covered in coral and it swims away. The group are amazed by this and continue to see this spectacular view.
Then the large Lake Monster swims off from the shallows and they have reached the outer edges of the waters near the island, and they spot where the ship wreckage was once laid. The Michigan Lockheart is missing, and then it comes to Jordan about something from last time.
'Right…. Peter Harris contacted some museum officials and they helped salvage the wreckage of the ship. Now, which museum did they put it into?'
Lincoln also recalls another thing. 'Right, they also had to make sure it was removed from the lake so that they can keep the remains safe and record the ship that went missing. So, I guess the ship is now dubbed found and no longer missing.'
As they continue to explore, they see something, or someone. Becca Chang, the mother of Sid and Adelaide and she's fighting off a large octopus that has a hold of her breather. The group then direct Plessy towards the ordeal.
Plessy sees this and so he glides through the waters and then charges towards Becca. The blonde mother then spots the lake monster coming at her, and she sees the kids riding on Plessy's back.
Plessy then opens her jaws and she bites hard onto the large cephalopod and then continues to toss it around like some kind of toy. Becca manages to get her breather back and she grabs onto the back of the lake monster and she's now seated behind her daughter, Sid.
They watch as…. Well, Plessy massacre the octopus and then devour it. Lincoln and Ryan manage to catch some of the tentacles that come off, and both have an idea what to do with these fishy parts.
Plessy then dives deep, and this confuses the others. They see that the waters are dark and hard to see, and they could make out what looks like a formation of King Crab at the bottom and so Plessy snatches some and devours them. Becca also snatches some with her net, and she places them into the container she brought with her.
The crabs may be big, but the container can hold five of them. Then Plessy lands on the bottom of the lake and knocks back some of the King Crabs, then the lake monster looks up and sees the light from the surface of the lake. She waits, aims and the others see what she's gonna do!
They all hold on tight onto Plessy, and the lake monster uses her back fins to thrust upwards and she gets ready to breach. They pass by some schools of fish and the same Basking Shark from last time.
(Back on the beach.)
Luna and Sam are done with making some tunes and now they're busy with some new songs they plan to make. "So, one of the songs you wanna perform, is the song from when you were Lulu?" asked Sam.
Luna nods. "I know they were the songs that didn't seem right, but they were pretty good. I could perform the song: What everybody wants, and what have I done, and then we can rock it out to Play it Loud."
Sam smirks. "Now that does sound like a one hit…" She then looks to the waters ahead. "What?"
They see that something breaches from the water and is now airborne and that something is the Lake Monster, Plessy and on the back of the Lake Monster are Lincoln, Jordan, Sid, Adelaide, Ryan, Gretchen and Becca and they cheer as the large creature splashes back down into the water.
Throughout that process, the two teens on the beach took the pleasure to record what they saw. "Dudes!"
Michelle then wakes up. "Huh? Huh?! What?!" She then sees the lake monster make it to shore and on the back are the passengers. "Huh, they're back from the waters. So, how did it go?"
They all get off of Plessy and Lincoln pets her head, and the eagles sit on her back. "We swam, the ship is gone as we recalled, and we helped Mrs. Chang from an eight armed issue."
Ryan then answers next. "Then we saw the bottom of the lake, and we saw a ton of King Crab, and then we brought some with us." They show them the octopus tentacles and the King Crab they caught.
"Huh, I guess we're having some sea food for lunch." Michelle goes over and so does Luna and Sam and they help bring the large sea food into the house, while the kids all talk about what they did. Sid and Adelaide seem really, really excited. Like, super hyper active kinda girls, as usual.
Sid. "That was so cool! We just rode a lake monster, we went into the deep, we saw more living life down there, we faced an octopus, and then we flew out of the water!"
Adelaide. "Now this beats any ride in Dairyland! I wanna go again!"
The others chuckle at their excitement. "Let's take a chill pill there, girls" said Gretchen. "We can go again when Plessy is feeling like it, right big girl?" Plessy nods and she splashes some water onto them and they all chuckle from this.
Becca sees this and smiles, but then she recalls those King Crab at the bottom of the lake. 'We can't inform fishermen to come here, they might end up ratting out the lake and the island wonders to other folks who think they can come and take something.'
'We need to contact those FutureTech people to deal with those King Crab. From what I recall, King Crab are both a good creature for food, and also a local pest, but how the heck did they get into the lake and populate so fast?'
The rest then go into the beach house, so that they can enjoy what they caught for lunch, while Plessy dives back into the lake.
The eagles also follow them, but they stop and look to the jungle. They feel like something is watching them all, and now they must remain cautious about what might come.
They don't know that something was watching them, and are hidden, and those something's are the monkeys and now they head back into the jungle once more.
Day 3 of the one week stay on Castaway Island, in the middle of Lake Eddy.
