Chapter 625.
"Happy Birthday Lynnard Loud."
(July 17, Lynn's Table.)
We now go to the restaurant where they have chosen to celebrate the birthday of the father of the family, Lynnard Loud. The whole place has folks whom they know and love, everyone except Ruth, because Lynn Sr didn't want her there.
Albert and Myrtle are there though, and same with Scoots for some weird reason and now they all enjoy this moment to say happy birthday to the man. He seems happy that this day is happening, and the food that his kids made for him, and some from his wife and good friend, Kotaro.
"Wow. This place is just as good as the last one, I am so proud at all of you for coming together and making this possible" said Lynn Sr, he goes over and he hugs his kids, but he doesn't know someone is not among them.
They then depart from the hug and then Leni hands Lynn Sr the gift they made. "We all made this ahead of the birthday, somewhere two weeks before this day."
"Wow. This is gonna be good!" said Lynn Sr, he then opens the gift and he smiles at what he sees. "A photo album!"
"Not any ordinary photo album as the one we once gave you, father" replied Lisa. "This one is quite different and something we know you would treasure." Then she thinks to herself. 'Besides all of those ridiculous ties you keep, that hare one is beyond disturbing.'
Lynn Sr opens the album and he sees that there are many fun time pics of the day they had during 2020, all the way to 2021. Some are good times and some are uneasy moments, but each one is a moment of when they stood as a great family and had an awesome time.
"Wow. This really is something, thanks guys. This is something I will treasure, just like the other album" said Lynn Sr as he wipes away his tears, he then goes over and hugs the younger Louds, but then he looks around and is a bit disappointed. "Sure wish Lincoln was here, I kinda miss him."
Rita goes over and kisses his cheek. "You're not the only one, honey."
They all look at another table, and sitting with Jordan and Sam is Luna Loud. Luna and Jordan are still concerned and are in no mood to celebrate this day, not without Lincoln who would've loved to do this.
"Well, at least they helped out earlier" replied Lori. "Even if they seemed gloomier than Lucy, they managed to make this place look good, but the music part is something we had to improvise." They look over to the boom box that Lulu is carrying.
Lynn Sr sighs. "Yeah, I kinda figured and I get her whole ordeal too. I mean, I just wish that my son was here to enjoy this moment. Heck, I can see from the album that Lincoln helped out as well. This doesn't seem the same without him."
"Yeah, same here pops" said Lynn Jr. Then she recalls something. "Oh wait, we got something else for you too! Well, this is from Jordan and she managed to pull some strings to make this possible."
Lynn Jr, Luan and Lisa go to the large TV screen on the wall and they plug in the system that Peter Harris let them have, and then Lisa triangulates the coordinates with her tablet. "And we are now looking at him, live from the Bearing Sea, and it seems like he's also waiting for us to contact."
Lynn Sr is confused. 'Bearing Sea? What?' Then he realizes what they mean. "Wait, wait! You guys don't mean…."
Then the screen shows an older version of Lynnard, with grey hair and a beard. "Hey there, my little minnows! How're things going on in Royal Woods? It's been a long while since I heard from ya."
Meet, the father of Lynnard Loud, Leonard Loud a proud dad and fisherman and shared some things with Lynnard, but the cooking part is something he doesn't seem to share, he does like fishing, and mostly Camp Mastodon.
Lynn Sr. is in tears and he smiles seeing his dad. "Dad! Oh wow, we can see you and the signal isn't terrible either!"
"Well, I got this odd visit from some weird aircraft and they told me to hook this up to my boat and now I can see you guys, even with a very harsh storm going on. Also, I am still at the Bearing Sea and I am having a lot of fun with these big catches. Also, Happy Birthday son!"
Lynn Sr sheds some tears. "Thanks dad, and we're glad to see you again."
The rest of the louds go over and they begin to greet and ask Leonard Loud about how he's been doing, and even Albert who recalls how much…. Some fun he had with Leonard, back when he was back in Royal Woods.
But the elderly fishermen looks among the minnows he calls grandkids. "Wait, where's Lincoln and Luna? Also, where's the little lass whose the little lady friend of Lincoln?"
They're all nervous to speak about that and so Lori tells him about what happened, and then Rita explains the rest on what has happened to Lincoln, and then they adjust the screen to let him see where Luna and Jordan are, and Sam is with them as well.
Leonard is concerned. "Well, that make sense and I understand how those two feel. To just have someone you care about the most not doing well, that hurts deep like a rock grinding on the hull. I hope Linc is doing alright."
"This sure doesn't seem the same without Lincoln around, but I do hope he can recover from his injuries, and I hope those scoundrel bullies are never let out and thrown into the brig for as long as time gives them!"
"We have the same feeling too, Gramps" said Lola. "Those bullies had better rot at where they're gonna be going!"
Just then they all hear Luna's phone ring and so she answers it. They all see the surprised look from Luna and she puts her phone away. "Lincoln's awake!" She races out of the restaurant and Sam and Jordan follow her and they get into her purple Ferrari and they drive off.
The rest of the louds go towards their rides, but then Lynn Sr goes to his dad. "Dad, sorry but we…
"Go Lynnard! You're son needs ya. I'll be here, speaking with some old timer of a pal."
Lynnard nods and he leaves the restaurant and he starts Vanzilla and they drive off. While Albert speaks with Leonard, and then Scoots slowly goes to the cake to get a slice. "Scoots! No cake yet!" yelled Kotaro.
(Royal Woods General Hospital.)
They open the door of the room and see Lincoln look to the window, and then he looks to the door and he smiles. "Hey guys, looks like I'm still kicking it and…" But then Luna and Jordan go over and embrace him, followed by the rest of the loud sisters.
"Guys! Guys. Sore in the gut, please let go!"
They all realize this and back away from him and Lincoln manages to get some air back into himself and he chuckles. "Glad to be back girls, and thanks for the concern." He then looks towards Luna and Jordan. "You guys glad I'm back?"
Luna holds his hand and she kisses his forehead and then his cheek. "Linc…. I didn't like what happened to ya, little brother and, it hurt for me to…. To…" She begins to shed some tears and so Lincoln goes over and hugs her.
"At least I managed to pull through, and I need to know if you're alright, Lunes" replied Lincoln. "From what I do recall, you risked yourself and got hurt in the process, sis."
Lincoln and Luna depart from the hug. "Everything's alright little brother. I'm fine, and now you're here and with us again. That's all that matters Linc." She then let's the other louds go over and embrace him.
Lincoln can see just how hurt they are to know that he got hurt, and yet stood the trials and managed to pull through, which once again impresses Lynn Jr. She kinda knew her brother would survive and fight back. Then they move aside and let Jordan go towards him.
Jordan then kisses him on the cheeks and then she shares a passionate kiss with him and then they depart from the kiss. "I don't wanna have to watch you get killed like that. We could've lost you."
Lincoln smiles and he hugs her, but not too tight. "I didn't think I'd wake up. But there was no freaking way I would just leave this world and leave the girl I love so much heart broken."
Lincoln and Jordan share another hug, and then Lincoln looks to his dad. "Happy birthday Dad, did I miss anything?"
Lynn Sr wipes away a tear. "Some stuff, but what matters is that you're okay son and back with the family once more." Lynn Sr and Rita continue to watch the emotional moment they're all having with Lincoln who is awake.
But for Lynn Sr, seeing his son wake up and on the day to celebrate is the best gift he could've asked for.
