Chapter 627.
"Tomorrow we Camp."
(The Loud House.)
Breakfast in the Loud House, and the family are all enjoying their meal, if they actually did enjoy it. All of them look onto the eggs and they see that something is off, also Lincoln is still on the hover wheel chair. "Guys, is it just me or do the eggs look…."
"Soggy?" Lola picks up the eggs with her fork, and they have water leaking out of them. Luna pokes her eggs and Luan is struggling with her own eggs.
Lana on the other hand. "I kinda like 'em." she squeezes the eggs, and the soggy yolks go into her mouth and this makes Lisa and Lynn Jr feel like barfing. But then they all hear crying.
They all go over to the kitchen and they see their father, Lynn Loud Sr in tears and making their breakfast. He cries tears into the egg mix, and then he uses the toast to… Blow his nose, good lord that is gross.
Michelle Lewis sees this as she drinks coffee and she stops drinking her coffee, and even Bernardo stops eating his meat. The rest of the Loud kids go over and see what's wrong, and then Lori asks. "Umm, dad? Are you feeling alright?"
Lynn Sr turns around and he removes his hat, and sniffles. "Sorry about that kids, and also sorry about the breakfast too. But earlier, when I woke up…. I just got an email that every adult dreads."
They all gasp and then Lucy asks. "What happened dad, also when's the funeral?"
"C-Camp Mastodon… My old Family Camp…" He then begins to sob. "Is closing!" He then cries onto the floor, and they all go over and try to cheer him up.
Lola on the other hand is confused by this and steers clear of the lake of tears. "Huh, that's it? Sounds more like an after breakfast ordeal to me." she then sees the stern looks from her siblings, and Michelle. "What? You know I'm not sympathetic without a full stomach."
Lynn Sr then gets up and then tells them about his camp. "Me and my dad, well you're gramps always go every year when I was a kid, to make so many great memories at Camp Mastodon…"
(Flashback.)
"It's where I learned to run." A young Lynn Sr is with his dad, Leonard Loud, and they participate in the three legged race, but his dad is faster and he drags Lynnard into the dirt, and yet they won.
"It's where I learned to swim." Lynn and his dad jump off the cliff using a rope and they land into the camp grounds lake. Leonard surfaces and then his son Lynn surfaces, but he is wearing so many floaties.
"And it's where I learned to fly, sorta." Lynn and his father, Leonard are both zip lining and howling with cheer, and they're having the time of their lives… Until Lynn hits a tree and is attacked by squirrels.
(End Flashback.)
Lynn then sighs and he wipes away a tear. "Well, I guess it's time to tell you're gramps that the camp is closing. This is gonna break his old heart."
They all follow their father, and they watch as Lynn Sr tries to get a signal to call his father, Leonard again. They then see him. "Hmm, weird. The other day he seemed fine, and now he looks more harry than before."
Then the elderly man removes his coat. "Hello? Lynn? Minnows?" He then sees them. "Oh, there we go. Also, sorry for not responding, seems like I uh….. Lost the little gadget for better signal."
Lisa is confused. "How in Copernicus name could you have lost such a piece of advanced technology?"
The signal is bad, but they manage to hear what he has to say. "Well, I uh woke up and accidently knocked it over, and then it fell into the sea. Sorry about that."
But then the signal is lost. "Dang it! The signal must be terrible now at the Bearing Sea…." Lynn Sr then looks towards Lisa. "Hey, sweetie. Do you still have your telegraph, I wanna send a Morse code to your gramps… Which is another thing I learned at…. At…" He then cries, because he learned that at camp.
(He's terrible at Morse code and once accidently called a migrating herd of moose.)
Lisa leaves to get her device, which she managed to make during her free time, just in case. She even holds her father's hand so he could come and manage the machine, and perhaps she could help him if the message goes wrong.
The others feel bad for their father going through this. "Dang, pops doesn't look too good with the camp closing down. There has to be a way we can save it" said Luna.
Lincoln then thinks. "Well, that does sound like a pretty good idea, but even if we did donate some cash that would still mean someone has to run the joint. We have to speak with the camp master of the place, and see what the heck is going on?"
"No need." Michelle shows them why. They read the information. "This came earlier.
Camp Mastodon now closing soon due to camp scout master retiring towards Florida, the camp doesn't have enough cash to hold the whole thing and he plans to sell it to some big top notch rich person, still unknown why this is happening.
But if you are a former camper of Camp Mastodon, then come on down and enjoy the last remaining moments here, savor the best from your childhood memories before they fade away.
They're confused by this news. "That sounded rude and kinda dark" replied Lucy. "I guess we're all gonna have a nice one day stay at Camp Mastodon."
Luan then has an idea. "Or we could make it a three day stay! I mean, it can't be as bad as Camp Scratchy Lake Bottom, right?"
"Yeah, and from what dad said, the whole place sounds super awesome!" said Lana. As they talk, Lola makes a call to move her appointment for her manicure and pedicure.
Lincoln then has an idea. "Let me call Jordan chances she wants to be part of this."
Lincoln uses his phone and then he makes the call to Jordan, and then he puts her on voice call. "Hey, Jordan. We're gonna go on a three day stay at Camp Mastodon, the whole place is being closed down and we want our dad to celebrate the best last moments before it…."
Jordan. "Camp Mastodon? You mean the camp that my dad is buying?"
They remain silent, and it's almost like the sound of a car screeching to a halt is in their heads. "I'm sorry, say what?" asked Leni.
Jordan. "It's true. You see, my dad was once a camper there and the best too. He along with his dad had so many awesome times, and they always won at the camp ground games. Even after my dad married, he brought me there a couple of times, I'm a camper at the place. Where else did I learn my throwing skills?"
Lynn Jr is now thinking. 'I wanna know where she learned her advance throwing skills. They could help us at baseball!'
"Hold up there, Rosato" said Michelle. "Jodan, you're dad bought Camp Mastodon? Why?"
Jordan. "My dad has been the guy who was the top camper and competitor and even helped the camp beat Camp Scratchy Lake Bottom and Camp Manitoba-A-LA-Croc. Also, he was informed about this and so he wants to help make this place last longer and that he has someone who could take the role of Camp Scout Master."
"Another thing we didn't know, is that my mom is also a camper there and same goes with the dad of Simon and Sam, Mollie, Sadie, Kat, Lance, and Trent, Darcy and even Jackie and Mandee's parents. Because Camp Mastodon was where they're parents met and became close friends and then lovers."
"I'm surprised you guys don't know, and I am looking forward to going there with you guys for the next three days. Guys? Lincoln? Girls? Anyone?"
They all remain super silent, and then they see their dad at the stairs and he heard everything and he faints, and goes down the stairs and is knocked out cold. "Well, it seems that our plan to camp have been increased to something of the upmost important" said Lisa. "Because I for one seek to relax in peace and silence or rest in peace."
Lucy smiles to this. 'Don't worry Lisa, I know what to do to help you with that.'
Luna smiles. "Well, it's settled then. We're going to Camp Mastodon tomorrow!" They all cheer, and then Rita comes in and she sees everyone looking happy.
"Hey kids, whats going on?" She then sees her husband knocked out. "And what happened to your father?"
To be continued in the next chapter.
A/N: Tomorrow is the chapter based off of the episode "Camped" but the whole thing is not a one day thing, it's three days of fun at Camp Mastodon and yes, Leonard Loud is gonan be there. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
