Chapter 628.

"Camped 1."

(July 20, Camp Mastodon.)

They all arrive, and come out of their vehicles and they take a good look around. "Everyone, welcome to Camp Mastodon!" They look in awe at the camp and how big it is, and even the lake. The Eagles eye the lake, for they know there's bound to be fish, while Bernardo sees the trees, there's bound to be a lot of good nap sites there.

"Whoa dudes, this place is even bigger than Camp Scratchy Lake Bottom!" said Luna.

"Oh, I am so gonna make an epic splash when I get on that cliff!" said Lynn Jr.

Then Rita looks around. "Weird, I thought the other family was gonna be here and… Wait, never mind I think I see some of them." They spot Lance, Trent, Sadie, Mollie, Jackie, Mandee, Sam, Simon and Darcy, and they also brought with them they're family.

But then Lincoln looks around. "But where are the Rosato's?"

Then an RV arrives, a big one and it parks near the woods and not too far from the camo, and coming out re Rick, Jesse and their kids, Jordan and Ryan. "Lincoln!" Jordan runs over and she hugs Lincoln, and he returns the embrace. "Glad we showed up, and glad you guys came."

They all go over and see the RV. "Umm, what the heck is this?" asked Lynn Sr.

Rick then explains. "Right, well the mall was out of tents and a lot of folks have bought the best and biggest ones, and so I went with the plan to get this big guy. Can hold more than 8 people inside, three bathrooms and signal service at 8 feet around it, and was made from FutureTech."

The louds look at the amazing advanced tech RV, and the black color changes to dark brown and green for camouflage. "This is gonna be an awesome stay in this camp!" said Ryan. "Also, there aren't much cabins at the place."

Lynn Sr didn't feel right about this, but he can understand that they needed this. "Well, at least it's useful. So, you're gonna help save Camp Mastodon, right?"

Rick nods. "Sure am, I have the check and it's a lot of cash to save the place. The bad news is, the guy I called to be the scoutmaster didn't reply and then an hour later he sent me a message saying he was promoted and he's gonna stick with his own job. So, we're gonna need to figure this one out."

"We can get to that later" said Luan. "For now, we should check this place out!" They all go into the camp, and they look at all the folks and kids having fun there and some of them are roasting marshmallows, and among them are Darcy, and her big sister Teri.

Lynn Sr then recalls something. "Right, now here's one thing you should know. Flip long ago was also part of the camp. But since he's not around, I guess he's missing out." He then looks around. "Oh, that's where my dad and I did our father and son talent show routine."

Rick also recalls. "Same thing with my dad, and it was pretty dramatic when we did our roles."

Lynn Sr feels like he recalls that one, then sees something else. "Oh, and that's where my dad and I did our tag team campfire stories."

Rick then mentions. "My dad and I did shadow hand puppets, and I question how my dad manages to make a haunted castle with two hands, and a small witch going in."

Lynn Sr also recalls something like that, a moment when he got scared from the other folks scary stories. Then he sees something. "That's where we…." He then gets emotional. "And that's where dad and I accidently wiped with poison ivy."

Lynn Sr then sheds some tears. "I'm just antsy remembering it… So many great memories." They all slowly take one step away from him.

Rick is confused. "Yeah, we never did that because that doesn't sound like a good memory. My dad and I always stray away from that, but we did get hurt when we tried to move a boulder way from the hiking trail." The others are surprised to hear that, but Lynn Sr feels like he recalls that one.

Then they hear this howl, it sounds like the howl of an old and hyped up old man. Then they look to the cliff and spot the old man wearing a white shirt, and red shorts and he leaps off the cliff while holding onto a rope and he sticks the landing in front of Lynna.

Rick and Lynn Sr know him. "Mr. Rinsler!"

"Welcome back, Lynnie." The elderly man then rips off his clothing and underneath are his scoutmaster clothing and then he has his hat on. The others are at a loss for words at what he just did.

Lynn Sr is amazed to see his former scoutmaster. "Guys, this is…"

"Well, I'll be dang on the wood being chipped by a beaver!" Mr. Rinsler goes towards Rick. "Richard Charles Rosato! Good to see ya again, the kid who won the camo twice against Camp Scratchy Lake Bottom and several other camps who thought they could beat us."

Rick chuckles. "Thanks, sir. But it's just Rick now." Lynn Sr is confused, and then he recalls that one kid actually did help win so many times in camp, and proved to be quite the camper, alongside his father.

Then Mr. Rinsler looks to the others. "And good to see the Louds and Rosato's, though I have never seen them together in camp before. Also, good to see Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato, the youngest Bald Eagle Champ winners! I watched the whole thing on TV."

"Also, good to see you all here to spend some time before this place goes down" replied Mr. Rinsler. But then he sees the excited chuckles from them. "What's wrong? I thought some of you would be bummed out about camp being closed?" He sees Lynn Sr and Rick are not upset anymore.

"And that's where you are wrong sir" said Ryan. "Because we're here to save the camp."

Rick then hands him the check. "This will help save the camp, and we know that you're planning to retire, and I had this guy who would fit the bill to be camp owner, but he had other plans. So, I need to sort out on who would run the camp once you leave."

Mr. Rinsler is impressed. "Well, I'll be. Saving the camp again, Richard. Dang good job at what you do to save the best times and memories of this place."

The scoutmaster looks to everyone. "Thank you for coming and helping make this camp last longer, and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your stay here at Camp Mastodon!" They all cheer and they head out to have some fun.

(Later.)

The sun is still up, and now everyone whose there at Camp are enjoying some time there, spending an awesome time at Camp Mastodon. Lori is on the pier and she checks her phone and sees no signal. "Oh come on, no service here? I thought there'd have some form of communication here at least."

She's not alone, with her are Leni, Jackie and Mandee. "Yeah, from what my dad said, this place just has a landline. So, there's no way to trying to send a text or even get internet" said Mandee.

"But, you have to admit…. The service here is pretty swell" said Leni. She along with Jackie and Mandee are being fanned by one of the camp members, and hands them some iced tea. "Thank you very much, sir."

Lynn Jr is at the top of a cliff from the lake, and with her are Mollie, Ryan, Lance, Artie and Simon and they look down onto the lake. "Alright, let's see who can make a big cannon ball!" Lynn Jr then jump off the cliff and she makes a big cannonball.

Unfortunately, it hits Lori, Leni, Jackie and Mandee. "Lynn!"

Lynn Jr surfaces and chuckles, and then they're splashed again when the other guys and Mollie land and make a big splash all together, and then they surface and high five with Lynn Jr, but the teens on the pier don't seem chill with this.

Rita, carrying Lily and Michelle Zip line and cheer at how fun this is. Bernard is on a tree and he just yawns and enjoys a nap, while the eagles fly by and head to the lake and catch some fish that they spot and they head back and hand them to the Scoutmaster who has a net.

"Thanks. Now we can all eat well tonight, with some good old fish." The man then goes over to start the camp fire. He passes by Luan who is trying to do the three legged race training alongside Sadie, and Butterfree is fluttering around and checking on the flowers nearby.

Lisa and Darcy, along with Teri and Sam are making smores, and then Sam plays a soothing tune on her acoustic guitar. Lucy is making sand tombstones, while Lola sits onto her sand throne, and Lana is helping make it grand and almost looks like a castle now.

Lana then has a crab that she found. Lola relaxes with wearing her shades. "Lana, you had better not be adding any crabs on my fabulous throne." Lana sighs and she lets the Horseshoe crab go. Wait, Horseshoe crab?

But where are Lincoln, Luna and Jordan? Also, where the heck did Lynn Sr and Rick Rosato go?

(Camp Mastodon Office.)

This is where they are, with Mr. Rinsler and helping with some of the old stuff that are gonna be packed up or placed somewhere else so they can be safe and sound. Lincoln and Jordan go through some old things and are freaked out by the calendar.

"Hey guys, look." Lynn Sr shows them what he found. "Here's a picture of me and gramps. We were the first ever camp treasure hunters."

"Treasure hunting? Like actual treasure hunting?" asked Jordan. She then looks to her dad.

"My dad and I weren't into that, though we did help setup the obstacles and clues that would help the others have a fun time" said Rick. "We stuck with trying to help keep the camp up and showing the other camps that it's better and awesome."

"Not gonna lie, and I still got this." Mr. Rinsler then shows them the glass cases with the five camping trophies. "All won by Richard himself, but he wanted the camp to have them, and also they're in here because the awards and mementos room was destroyed by a storm."

"Well, with the money you guys can make a new one" said Lincoln. "Also, what's this whole treasure hunting thing about?"

Mr. Rinsler then explains to them. "The treasure of Captain Kit, the story goes… That it was during the time of the Great Michigan Storm of 1913. It was a monstrous blizzard that hit the very spot that we're standing on…."

They then hear some weird wind sounds and the lights are flickering and they look to Lynn Sr. "Sorry, just setting the mood."

Mr. Rinsler then continues. "Anyway…" He then shows them the photo from a book. "This here, is the captain himself. Captain Kit. He was on his way home after he made one big score after a big radish trade, and that was the time he got caught in the storm."

"Because he was the only man onboard who ran the vessel, he had no choice but to abandon ship, and legend says that he took all the gold, down to the last god doubloon that he earned and buried all of it somewhere around here."

"Did anyone ever find it?!" Lincoln and Jordan look in awe, while Luna can tell that something is bound to happen.

The scoutmaster chuckles. "No. Who knows where it could be, or if that whole thing was even real. But like I said kids, the whole thing is nothing more than a fun treasure hunt for all the campers to enjoy, and they did."

He then shows them something that was mounted onto the plaque on the wall. "However, I was told that this hunk of wood is from the good captain's ship, salvaged when the whole storm came barreling down, and now here she is folks."

The man then let's Lincoln and Jordan carry the wood, but then Jordan rubs it and then she realizes something. "What the heck?" she knocks on it, and they hear something hollow, and so she removes the loose wood and she sees the paper. "This you're doing sir?"

Mr. Rinsler scratches his head. "No, this is new and also, how did I not see that coming. Looks like you got your dad's close eye for seeing what is the obvious."

Lincoln and Jordan open it and then Luna and Lynn Sr look to the map. "Wait, a map?!" Lynn Sr was no feeling excited.

Rick also takes a look. "This map was found inside of the wood from Captain Kit's ship, which means this is an actual treasure map!"

Lynn Sr is now excited. "Wow! An actual map, if we can find the treasure then this place can be open forever!"

Mr. Rinsler thinks about it. "Well, I'll be. Weird for me to have this, that thing was here before I was around, and I was a smooth guy chilling in my teen…." He sees the others looking to him confused. "Sorry about that."

"Now, if this is all true, then that treasure is out there. Also, I think its best you and you're family find it, it seems like Louds and Rosato's are bound to do something when it comes to something like this, after all the trouble you guys have been through."

This makes Lynn Sr excited and feels like jumping for joy. "Then what the heck are we waiting for? Let's go and tell the others!"

But then Luna stops him. "Step on the breaks and back it up, pops. We can do this tomorrow, we got the rest of the week here. Best we spend some time having fun, and same with the family."

Lynn Sr looks outside and he sees everyone is enjoying themselves. "Yeah, you guys are right." He then hands the map to Lincoln and Jordan. "You kids found it, so best for you two to keep it safe. We can start first thing tomorrow…. After breakfast!"

"Good, because we're having tons of fish for dinner" said Mr. Rinsler. "Now, go out there and have some fun. I can handle the rest of this packing myself."

They all leave the office, and then Lynn Sr turns around and he sees the large portrait of Rick Rosato and his father, for helping keep the camp a symbol of an amazing camp in Michigan. 'Now where the heck have I met Rick before? Did we meet in camp? Does he recall? Why can't I remember?'

A/N: Well, the whole Camp is saved and chances that treasure won't be needed, but they will go onward with the actual treasure hunt on the next chapter, and meet up with someone who will become the new Camp Scoutmaster and owner, and we'll go deeper into the whole thing of Lynn Sr not realizing, he did meet Rick Rosato long ago. I also noticed something, I checked out the map of Michigan with the one from the episode of Camped and it seems like Camp Mastodon is located somewhere at Ludington, Mason which seems to be the exact location,
