Chapter 636.
"Lincoln and Rocky."
(July 28, the Loud House.)
Lincoln comes down from the stairs and then he sees Leni go into the dining room, and at the living room is Lana, and she's watching some cartoons alongside Lily. This makes him smile. "Hey girls, where's Lucy?"
Lana is too busy watching, and so Lily speaks. "Lucy… Outside."
Lincoln chuckles. "Thanks, Lilster." He goes over and he kisses her forehead and then he ruffles Lana's hat. "See you guys when I come back." He then leaves the house and goes through the door, and then he sees Lucy outside and on her bike.
Lucy spots her big brother, and then she puts on her bike helmet. "Good, you're here. Now we can go and check on Rocky. He said he's waiting right now."
Lincoln nods. "Are you sure you wanna come along?"
Lucy nods. "He said he was okay with me coming along, he said he needs a big brother to talk to, and someone he truly cares about. I think he means me, we have this thing going on and dating is not on the agenda either, but we care for each other and the crush we have for each other still goes on."
Lincoln smiles. "Very well then." They look up and spot the eagles flying around. "Anything else I should know before we head off to Tall Timbers Park?"
Lucy then recalls. "Michelle Lewis is at the Park. She said she was going there for some peace and quiet time and she may have brought Bernardo with her as well. We'll probably see her when we get there. Let's get going big brother."
Lincoln gets on his bike, and then he sees that he has a message from Jordan and he checks what it is.
Jordan. Linc, we got word that the lady known as Dr. Caroline Linnaeus has not been caught. They found her van, but half of the equipment within is no longer there. The van crashed onto the edge of the forest outside of town, no signs of her. This is not good, Linc.
Right now, my godfather is searching for her. If she is still around and alive, then chances she'll try and go after the eggs and we cannot let her get away with something like this. Try and keep a close eye on everything around you, we don't know when she'll come out. Talk to you soon, Lincoln.
Lincoln was now feeling so much concern. He sighs and then he puts on his helmet and he rides off with Lucy to Tall Timbers Park. Artemis, Freya, Apollo and Raptor can tell that something is wrong, and they can tell that this has something to do with the other day.
They fly off and Freya and Artemis fly off towards the Rosato Mansion to watch over Harrier and Nora, while Raptor and Apollo fly off to Ketcham Park, to alert some avian allies of what might come. If Caroline Linnaeus is around, then she will attempt something to gain the eagle eggs.
(Tall Timbers Park.)
Lincoln and Lucy soon arrive to the Park, and they look around for the kid they're looking for, Rocky Spokes and yet they don't see him anywhere. "Where the heck is he?" asked Lincoln. Lincoln and Lucy walk around with their bikes and continue looking around for him.
Lucy looks around and she does spot Michelle, reading her book and she notices something, or someone is missing. "Where the heck is her Black Panther?"
They both look around. "There he is, and also Rocky" said Lincoln.
They both spot the boy they're looking for, and he pets the Black Panther next to him, and the animal is snoozing and enjoying this calm time with the Spokes kid, underneath the shade of the tree and not too far from the lake.
Lucy and Lincoln go over and they let their bikes lean onto the tree. "Hey, Rocky."
The boy stops petting the large cat, and he looks to the two louds. "Hey guys, glad you showed up. I was feeling kinda bored from playing my video game and I didn't bring anything else to occupy myself, and so this guy showed up and he's pretty cool."
Lucy sits down and so does Lincoln, they both look towards Rocky with concern and then Lucy asks. "Rocky, are you feeling alright?"
Rocky sighs and looks away. "No, no I'm not. You two know why, heck everyone in town knows the sole reason why this whole thing is not doing well for me and my family."
They didn't like hearing him like this and so Lincoln is about to speak, but then rocky speaks. "Rusty… He just, he was a total idiot to do that, and not know that his stupid live stream was still on, and now he's the laughing stock and a total joke to his social life, and not just him."
"Mom is getting a lot of dirty looks from the parents, and my dad isn't faring well with business at his job, I don't even know if he can even keep it. I am kinda shocked his boss would continue to let him work, but not at the front to help with customers. He's been assigned to back room duties."
"My brother is a total joke to everyone, a lot of the girls all keep their distance from him and give him the stink eye. Heck, even teenagers were avoiding him, and a lot of guys were not liking his presence around the town, glad he can still enjoy some food to order. But the rest of his social life? Down the dang toilet, and all because he was so lured by some dumb tall vampire lady."
"I mean, he's lost his mind and went too far, too stupid with his dang puberty! Now I know, not to be like him, and yet I used to look up to him and he made himself a total fool and soon I'm gonna be a total fool too! I'm gonna be 10 soon, and that means I gotta go to the 5th grade soon."
"I'm gonna be a joke as Rusty is. He did this to us, and now I'm gonna be a push over as he was back then, but I don't have some dumb dad to son advice on girls. I don't need that junk, and yet I am gonna be turned into Rusty Spokes. I don't wanna be Rusty, and I never wanna be him, or even my dad."
Rocky then calms down and he sits back down and catches his breath. Lucy then holds his hand, and this makes him hold her hand. "Thanks, Luce…. I just, it's been hard. Heck, I don't think my friends are gonna be around me soon. I'm gonna be a social outcast."
"But you have us" said Lucy. "And the other's you call friends, we're with you."
Rocky looks towards Lucy and he sees the smile on her face, and this makes him smile. Then Lincoln asks. "Rocky, I get where you're laying down at. But I need to know, do you plan to give Rusty another chance to redeem himself?"
Rocky thinks about this. "I'm not sure. He'd have to do something to regain everything from trust, forgiveness and to not be made into a joke to others. He's done a mess, and…. I just can't talk or even look at him."
Lucy then scooches closer. "What about your mom and dad? How are they feeling?"
Rocky sighs and looks to the lake. "They're super disappointed in Rusty for what he did, and they don't even know what to do with him. Heck, I think he needs some discipline time and to be straightened out, and stay far away from dad. Because mom taught me better, dad made a new and yet dumber version of himself."
"Mom is…. Well, she kinda blames dad for the whole ordeal of everything he taught Rusty, an thus his puberty came way too early and he wanted to do something dark and perverted, and onto himself over some video game character who everyone is drooling over. Seriously, I feel like giving up on Capcom and going for other games."
Lincoln and Lucy didn't like where this would lead to. They fear of the Spokes family getting a divorce, and Rocky being taken away by his mom, while Rusty would remain pinned down with his dad.
Rocky looks towards Lincoln. "What about you and your pals? Anything from them to make Rusty your pal again? You guys do know that he's gonna be…."
"We made the choice" said Lincoln. He then looks away. "Only some of us, like a few have chosen to redeem Rusty… The rest, don't want anything to do with him. So, we're gonna give Rusty a month, and we'll decide what to do when the school time is closing in. Rusty is a total mess up, and he messed up."
"Rusty has done so much mistakes, and some of them is dumb girl hooking up advice, and that ends up making girls ignore him and the others. He did gave advice to Liam once, and that didn't end well, then he gave advice to Zach and that didn't turn out well."
"He tried to give some advice to me and Clyde, but that didn't work because we never listened. I was too busy with something else, and Clyde had some ordeals to handle, Rusty doesn't know that he's wrong, and that whatever he has learned from his dad is literal garbage. Because Mr. Spokes doesn't know what a girl likes or loves. This isn't the 80's or the 90's. He's old fashioned."
"Well, old fashioned in advice that worked long, long ago. This timeline, and this new era of girls and other women are a whole different story. I also did some research and thanks to Peter Harris, we now know all about what your dad did in…."
"He got picked on, never got a shot at a girl, bullied and laughed at" said Rocky. "I know, I spoke about this to Sheryl when I was helping her with something in the office, and I knew that my dad lied about everything he did. He's made me feel bad that he's like this and makes lies to be cool."
Lincoln and Lucy can see that Rocky's condition with what his brother did, is now making him doubt about the way he would see his father. "Rocky…" He then looks towards Lucy. "I know, that you hate what your brother did, and that doesn't mean you'll hate him forever."
"There will be a chance in time, that you will see and hear out what your brother has to say, and then you two can put this behind. Though, the damage has been made and done, there's always the time to say that the past can be the past, and that you can see through a new kind of change."
Lincoln nods. "She's right. Chances that if we won't be friends with Rusty, we might end up talking to him again and see if he does wanna redeem himself and make things right. Just, don't give up hope on him, not yet."
Rocky looks away and sighs. "Yeah, I guess I can try. But it won't be easy." He then looks towards Lucy and Lincoln. "Also, thanks for coming to talk to me. I needed this, from the girl I have a crush on, and the preteen I see as another big bro figure, thanks guys."
Lincoln and Lucy smile. "Anytime." Lucy then leans her head onto the shoulder of Rocky and he puts his arm around her and he leans onto her and they both relax in this peace and each other's company.
Lincoln smiles at this cute scene. 'I can already see an amazing future between those two.' Then he spots Polly Pain on her roller skates and she leaves the Park. He can tell that this is bad. 'Right. Polly is still upset after what Rusty did. She won't go back to him and…. I think she doesn't wanna be our friend.'
'Maybe I can talk to LJ, and then she can have Polly speak with the rest of us, so we can sort out what she wants to do. This is gonna be a tough choice for all of us.'
As they continue to enjoy each other's company, they are unaware of Michelle Lewis who hers this, and so she makes a plan and she grabs her phone. 'Rusty is the one who did this to himself. Rocky and his mom, and possibly his father are not caught into this cluster. Time for me to help them out.'
They also don't notice Jenny Mulligan, and she recorded the whole thing and she sheds a few tears and then wipes them away. 'Don't worry, Rocky. When folks see this, then they won't treat you like Rusty. You had nothing to do with this, and we have your back. You are nothing like Rusty.'
To be continued…
A/N: Well, the fate of Rusty being the friend of the Royal Woods Cool Crew is for when August ends, well close to end. But it's unknown on what Rocky will do, or what his mom will do. But Rusty and everyone else will see the video, and this will make things less of an issue for Rocky, because he does not deserve to be pinned down by what his big brother did. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
