Chapter 641.
"The Pokémon at Liam's Farm."
(August 2. Honnicut Farm.)
We go to the farm, in which Liam was born, raised and learned so much to being who he is now. The ones who are coming there are Lincoln, Jordan, Tabby, Simon, Stella, Angel, Mark, Ryan, Gretchen and Hope, and they all arrive via Gretchen's limo. Even the eagles showed up.
Patriot and Valkyrie have told the others about the day they came to the farm, and fended off the crows that tried to storm the place, they didn't know if that storm thing was supposed to be a pun.
They all come out and look to the vast open fields of the farm, and a lot of new animal herds as well, and another barn and it seems large. "Holy smokes, Liam! Where did that thing come from?" asked Lincoln.
Liam chuckles. "Well, that there and all of this is all thanks to the deal we made with them Pertland and Warwick family. We help provide what they need to power the town, and they got us all of this, and heck we got more new land to plant more crops than before!"
They see the field is bigger than it was before, and that is a lot of corn and wheat. "Wow! This might beat the biggest wheat field in the world" said Jordan. "So, where are your parents?"
Liam then guides them onto the tractor that he owns. "Right now, my ma and pa are busy with the incoming wedding of my auntie, and they'll be back shorty. She lives two towns away, and as for my memaw, well she's over there."
They look to the distance and they spot Liam's memaw, covered in vegetables and ready to go into the woods. "What the heck is she doing and where the heck is she going?" asked Tabby.
Liam smirks. "Right now, looking for the hideout of them weasel's posse, they've been trying to come through here and get to my memaw's garden, and that garden has gotten big and with new produce too. But what they want, is that thing…"
They look in awe, at the bus sized melon. Ryan and Mark keep looking up, then they both fall down. "That thing is huge!"
Liam goes over and he stands in front of the melon. "It took my memaw since the end of December to make this monster. She's as big as a school bus and as long as one too. What do ya'll think of her?"
"That this has to be protected at all costs or else things are not gonna end very well for that melon" said Hope. "Also, I'm having a hard time trying to figure this out… I mean, that thing is huge!"
Liam chuckles. "Ya darn right it is, and this is something my memaw wants to do if she wants to beat…." Liam then has a stern face. "Ms. Jay Walker!" He looks so serious, even the pig is serious and the others.
Lincoln and the gang are confused. "Who the heck is Ms. Jay Walker?"
Liam then tells them. "Ms. Jay Walker has always won in biggest vegetable for the past 45 years against my memaw and it all started when they were 5 years old, and trying to see who has the biggest tomato! And that lady has been winning for so long, and the surprising part, no cheating on both sides."
"Ms. Jay Walker has so many ways to make her veg large and proud, and so does my memaw and at times it ends in a draw, and then an arm wrestling to mud wrestling contest. But this year, there might not be one because I know that my memaw will win it, and all thanks to her special fertilizer mix."
Stella is about to take a picture, but then Liam stops her. "No, no. None of that now, my memaw doesn't want this to go out on social media, otherwise Ms. Jay Walker will try something to make her melon bigger too."
"Oh, sorry" said Stella. She then puts her phone away. "So, when do we get to the chores around the farm?"
Liam chuckles. "Sorry gang, but the chores are all done. We finished them an hour ago, and they weren't much. All the animals are fed, and the barns are cleaned, and the vegetables and fields have been checked for any signs of vermin, and none in sight, and also we got some new help here."
They spot the Mudsdale going around the farm and eating dirt. "That big guy is perfect for hauling those toughest and super heavy loads and even helping plow the field, and we don't need to feed him no food much, because they only eat dirt."
"He's not wrong" said Simon. "So, what can we do here now?"
"Follow me guys." Liam then let's them ride onto the wagon of the tractor he now owns, then they hear this cute baa sound, and they see Liam's Wooloo. "Oh, hey there buddy." Liam goes over and picks him up, and the others see the cute little Wooloo.
Wooloo.
The Sheep Pokémon, a normal-type.
Its curly fleece is such an effective cushion that this Pokémon could fall off a cliff and stand right back up at the bottom unharmed, and they are known to roll to move faster. If its fleece grows too long, Wooloo won't be able to move. Cloth made with the wool from this Pokémon is surprisingly soft and strong. Wooloo evolves into Dubwool.
They all see Liam hug his Wooloo. "Looks like someone wants to tag along with us, alright let's get going." He starts the tractor and they start moving. They watch as they pass by the pigpen and the chicken house.
Jordan then asks. "Liam, how the heck did you get this tractor?"
Liam explains to them. "This is a good one, it all began during the time ya'll were at the Water park, and my pa told me that I earned this old fella. This here was once my pa's and he had it rebuilt and looking good as new, and he said that I have been working so hard, that this is all mine now."
"Now I don't need to just use my feet to walk around, now I can just go around with the tractor and truly help out when the harvest comes around. This old girl is named Vicky, and she's been a loyal tractor, and sometimes a back talker."
They hear the engine pop and the smoke coming out, but she's still going. "Yup, back talker." He kicks the floor. "Don't you talk back to me, old girl! I am my father's boy, you hear me?!"
The others had no idea what to even say from this, and so they continue to where they're going.
(Later.)
They all meet at the Barn and they all begin to brush all of the Wooloo. They all seem to have fun doing this and they look at how clean the barn is. "Dang, this barn sure is a clean one, Liam" said Simon.
"Thanks gang." Liam finishes sheering some of the fleece from Wooloo, and he lets her go back to the field and another one comes to him to be sheered. "This place has to be cleaned to them Mareep and Wooloo can be calm and clean, and be happy with living here."
"We don't want them to be acting all panic-like, or trying to make a run for it" said Liam. He then passes the fleece to Lincoln who puts them into one pile and then Jordan and Stella finish sheering a few other Wooloo, but not all the fleece they have.
"This fleece is so soft!" said Hope as she hugs it. "I can't wait to see what this will do when they're on some clothing!" She then places it into the pile of fleece. "Also, this is so much!"
Liam then finishes sheering the fleece. "And this is the last one." He lets the Wooloo go back into the field and it feels happy and nuzzles on Liam. "Aww, you're welcome old girl." The Wooloo leaves, and then Liam places the last sheered fleece onto the basket. "How much do we got?"
Gretchen finishes counting. "We counted…. 25 to 27 fleece in one basket, and we have 45 baskets filled with this, wow! That is a lot." They look to the many baskets.
Ryan checks his watch. "We did the whole thing in less than one hour, awesome. So, now what?"
"This." Liam pushes the lever and a crane picks up the fleece and it drops them into the large vat, and they see at the other side the fleece is all neatly folded and then wrapped up in ropes and a ribbon on top. "This here was also from the Pertland and Warwick's. This is amazin, guys."
"Wow!" Lincoln then looks out to the field and so do the others, they spot the Wooloo herd going around and grazing, they see another field and it has Mareep and they're all separated from each other. "Do you guys sheer the Mareep?"
Mareep.
The Wool Pokémon. An electric-type Pokémon.
If static electricity builds in its body, its fleece doubles in volume, touching it will shock you, so beware when facing a flock of these guys. The fleece grows continuously in the summer, and then it's fully shed and then grows back in a week. They store air in their fleece, which will allow them to remain cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Mareep evolves into Flaaffy, and then Flaaffy evolves into Ampharos.
Liam goes over. "Nah, we don't need to sheer them. Because that's gonna be painful. We just pick up the fleece they drop when they shed them, they grow them back after a week or two, it's normal. But getting them is tough, so wear these fellas."
Liam hands them electric-proof suits that are yellow colored. "What the heck?" asked Simon, then he realizes why. "Oh, okay never mind, I think I can see why we have to wear these."
(Later.)
They all are done walking around and gathering the fallen fleece from the Mareep. "This makes it the tenth one, and not much around" said Gretchen. She then pets the head of a Mareep. "They're so peaceful, when they're not bringing out a powerful discharge."
Lincoln then places the electric fleece into the basket. "So, Liam… What do you guys do with this stuff?"
Liam chuckles. "The fleece is sent to the electric place, they process the fleece and remove the static electric stuff, and the remaining fleece is turned into some useful silk for clothing. Recycling what's within, and they make sure it won't make some sparks too."
"That's possibly the help from FutureTech" said Jordan. "Obviously they can make something like that and gave some to the electric company for good use."
"Wow! That does sound cool" said Gretchen. "Also, have any of them evolved yet?"
Simon then asks. "Yeah, any Flaaffy or Ampharos around here?"
Liam then pets the head of a Mareep. "None I can think of, and I don't know how we can even keep them kinds here, or what they can do. But if it does happen, then I can ask ya'll about that one."
"What about Dubwool?" asked Ryan, he then removes his helmet. "I mean, that is the second evolution of Wooloo. Any of them around here?"
"Nope" replied Liam. He then leaves the area, along with the others. "We haven't gotten one, but if we do, then we might have a new and tough guard and we also need to know more about what they can provide besides some protection."
Liam sees Wooloo race towards them and so he picks up Wooloo and hugs him. "Come on ya'll. Let's put this shocking fleece away and then we can enjoy some grub." They all cheer and head back to the barn, but then Tabby sees something.
"Liam, your memaw is back." They spot Liam's memaw and she looks like a mess. "Looks like she had a fight too. We should go on and help her."
Liam chuckles. "Yup, just another dang good day of the normal here at the Honnicut farm."
To be continued…
A/N: Just a nice day to spend and know more about why there are Wooloo and Mareep on Liam's Farm. Chances they might let the other louds come and check out the place, they just need to be careful about the Mareep. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
