Chapter 646.
"Ready, Set and Race!"
(August 7, Royal Woods Sports Racing Track.)
The day has come, the race in Royal Woods is up, and the race is hot rodding and already started!
The racecars all make their way as this is th10th lap of the 24 lap race, and the ones who can advance will head to the finals at New York, for the Summer Grand State Cup, and taking the lead is none other than, Bobbie Fletcher and she has been keeping this lead since lap 1.
But, she's not alone. Racing by her side and actually keeping up is none other than, the rookie of the race track, Kurt Logann.
Kurt looks to Bobbie and nods, and the woman smirks. "Alright, let's see if you can keep up with me now." She hits the gas and she accelerates ahead of him.
Kurt chuckles seeing this. "Oh, it is so on, Fletcher!" Kurt also picks up the pace and he keeps up with her, and the crowd is all cheering at this exciting race, going on between two of the leaders, Bobbie Fletcher and Kurt Logann.
Folks from around the country are watching this, the race goes on and it's still the same leaders as the last race, so the folks of Royal Woods and the folks of Sweet Water Valley are watching at home, or live at the place and cheering for either one to get ahead.
They drive past the pit stop, and the folks there watch them and cheer, and who are at the pits? Lana Loud, and her older sister Leni Loud, also Michelle Lewis is with them to keep an eye on both of them.
"Wow! Look at them go, Kurt is fast, and he can keep up with Bobbie fletcher!" said Lana. She's wearing a uniform that cheers for Bobbie fletcher.
"Now, I'm not really a fan of racing and all, but seeing Kurt do this is quite awesome. I mean, he's actually fast enough to keep up with Ms. Fletcher." Leni is wearing a uniform that cheers for Kurt Logann.
Michelle is dressed in some clothes she normally wears, and she watches this with her binoculars. "The other cars don't seem to be doing well. Those guys are not fast enough, or they might be scared to go anywhere near Kurt and Bobbie."
Janette Wilder is also there, and is wearing her usual attire, black sunglasses and a hat for the racing team. "This happened the same for the past 5 races, none of the other racers wanna bother with Kurt and Bobbie, because it seemed too intense."
"But among the racecars, there is one that seems to wanna be part of this." Janette then points to the green car with the white and yellow stripes. "That guy, Lana do you know who he might be?"
Lana then recognizes. "Donald J. Korridor, I know that guy! He has been known to try and beat the others, but he only won one race, and that was without Bobbie Fletcher because she was competing for something bigger. That guy hates her, and has been trying to keep up with her speed."
Janette nods. "This man has been a thorn on the side of Bobbie for some time, and now he's super miffed at the rookie who showed up. Folks call that man, the runner-up, and he hasn't done anything much to prove he can be an ace on the wheel."
"Another thing he is known for, is being late when all the other racers have arrived to the location where the race would be held. He doesn't like to talk to others, and only speaks with his pit crew who seem to be chill with him. This man is legit trouble."
Leni seemed concerned about this. "Let's hope the security here can keep track of what goes on." They look around and spot the FutureTech forces all there to guard the race, and make sure nothing happens.
Leni then continues to watch the race. 'Kurt, please be careful. I don't wanna watch you get hurt.' Then she asks Janette. "Has Kurt ever crashed before?"
Janette removes her shades. "Once, and that was in his junior years of racing, after that he never did crash. Sure his tires popped at some point, but he makes it to the pits before things turn bad, heck we got the fastest pit crew to boot as well."
Lana then recalls. "Same with Bobbie Fletcher's pit crew, they're always… Who the heck is that guy?"
They spot this teen, around Leni's age and he takes a selfie of himself as the race goes on. Janette sees him as well. "Right, that lowlife of a rookie is called Horace Alvenerwear, the sole reason why I said those words is because he is a retard in my book, and the others agree too."
"He's new to the block and at times he's a total dork and moron. He tends to forget what they're supposed to do, he fails to get the job done, he'd rather post what he takes pictures of, and he's a total creep to Bobbie Fletcher. I find him a total nuisance, and he even tried to smooth talk me."
Leni and Lana are surprised and same with Michelle. "Dang, that sucks. This guy sounds like a total doofus, we'll try to keep clear of…."
"Hey there." They see the guy with brown hair and wearing the pit crew uniform of Bobbie Fletcher's team. "Weird to see two hotties here, the name's…"
"Not interested, so get lost and go screw over, dingus" said Michelle.
"We're here to cheer for our friends, so beat it" said Leni. She then pulls Lana close to her.
"Whoa. Whoa. Let's chill here, no one is getting hurt, and I just wanna get to know the two ladies who I just met." He then fixes his hair. "So, you two have any plans for after this race."
Janette then intervenes. "How about you scram before things get too serious, that you never work here again. Unless you want your boss to know about this trash you're doing to everyone else."
Horace is barely afraid of her and seems interested in the way she looks. "Alright, alright. I'm just trying to be nice, and all. But, I can make some other kind of arrangements and we could go out, like tonight?"
This makes Janette growl, but then she notices that Bobbie and Kurt are back in the pits and then Bobbie sees this. "Horace! What the heck do you think you're doing?!" The rest of the crew see this and they go over and help.
Horace then goes over and he helps, and then Kurt saw this. "Bobbie, keep track of this guy. Remember what happened last month." His pit crew goes over and helps.
Bobbie sighs. "Yeah, I know. This kid is gonna get himself into deep trouble if he doesn't stick to the whole race, idiot."
Horace finishes with one of the tires. "I wasn't doing anything…"
Then the crew chief yells. "Horace, you're sticking close to me as possible, I don't want anything from you, last time you got everyone into serious trouble, so shut the hell up and stay still!" Horace sighs and he continues to help.
They finish with changing the tires and filling up gas, and then the two racecars drive off. They soon make it back to the track and they even beat the pace car and get back the lead. "Wow. Talk about good timing" said Lana. "That was awesome!"
Janette chuckles. "No kidding, they're always tied when it comes to trying to beat the other as the race goes on. Also, looks like trouble might come soon, look."
They spot the Green Racecar of Donald J. Korridor and he tries to keep up, but he can't and he ends up going out of control and goes to the grass, he then gets back to the race, but now he's dead last again.
The rest of the race goes on, and the other louds along with the Rosato's and their friends are watching from the bleachers at this. "Wow. Someone who can keep up with Bobbie Fletcher?" said Lynn Jr. "Yup, Kurt Logann just earned my respect."
Lincoln has binoculars. "He's not even failing in his turns, and he's doing a dang good job picking up speed and being cautious and now the car are all going to the pit stops." They watch as the other cars take to the pits and so Bobbie and Kurt slowly drive and wait for them as the pace car arrives.
Jordan then lowers her binoculars. "Well, seems like those two are still at the lead, what are the odds they're gonna tie this win and advance together?"
The others all have their own opinions on who would win or if it would be a tie and then Luna uses her binoculars and watch as Lana, Leni and Bobbie Fletcher watch the other cars getting patched up, gassed up and tires changed. But then she notices something.
'That dude from earlier. He tried to talk to Leni and Michelle… I don't like this, chances this guy is gonna be causing a whole lot of trouble being in town, and they won't be heading out of New York until the end of next week.'
Soon all the cars are done at the pit stops and they make it back to the race, but Kurt and Bobbie are still at the lead. The duo look to each other.
Bobbie Fletcher. "Alright, Logann. Let's see if we can overtake the other and win this thing!"
Kurt Logann. "Oh, it is so on, Fletcher. Time to see who is the ace in this, the rookie or the veteran!"
The race continues as the next lap is up, and only those who can qualify can advance to the finals and win the grand cup prize!
