Chapter 655.

"Checking on the changes."

(August 19. Royal Woods Juvenile Detention Center.)

At the visiting area, this is where Lincoln, Jordan, Ryan, Gretchen and Hope are waiting for two girls, to see if they're doing well. They all have concerns on whether the two girls are changed, or are they going back to their old ways. Each one with their own troubles if things are gonna be as they were before.

Lincoln. 'I hope those two girls are not reverted back to their former selves. They seemed, peaceful and not so dangerous or threatening when we encountered them last week. I don't want them to try and bail out and find some way to free Leslie Silver. They seem like better and good people.'

Jordan. 'If those two are back to their old ways and planning to help Leslie Silver, then that's not gonna fly with me and we have to send them somewhere separated and far, far away from Leslie. We can't let the old ways and Leslie Silver's memories come back and make them into soldiers for her to use.'

Ryan. 'Hmmm, if we could maybe make another potion the same as they made last time, then we can… No, no. That's wrong, we can't force them to change, but perhaps some rehab could help them see their mistakes, but we can't let them do that stick together. They might come up with something.'

Gretchen. 'Regina Westwind, Chastity Higgins. Those two were our friends, then became our enemies and then became threats, and after what happened… They saw emotions within them that they never knew. Perhaps these emotions have been hiding since they met. I hope they're different now.'

Hope. 'Regina and Chastity, those two are just puppets, or lost guard dogs that need a master to pull on their leashes. They won't do much unless Leslie Silver is around and giving orders, but weeks ago, the managed to try and make some sort of plan, even without the guidance of Leslie. Please change girls.'

Just then, the main doors that lead to the inmates cells opens and walking out, are Regina and Chastity and they look to the group sternly, and that gaze is something they're afraid of and they get ready for what is to come, but they don't notice the guards snickering.

Regina is the first one to go towards them. "You're all here to know if we've changed, am I right?"

They were all concerned about this, but then Hope asks. "Regina, Chastity… We wanna know, did you change after the effects of the love potion wear off?"

Chastity speaks for her friends. "Did we change? Did we change?" They all stood their ground, but then Chastity hugs Hope, and this shocks her. "We did! The effects aren't effects, this is permanent!"

Regina goes over and joins in on this. "We're no longer part of Leslie and her ways! We're… Different now, and all thanks to the emotions we both share."

They all sigh in relief, and Ryan sits back down. "Dang, looks like what Lisa and some of the guys at the Allied outpost found out are right." They all look to Ryan, and so he tells them. "Guys, the love potion may be able to do something else more than just change the emotional levels of someone…."

"The potion can also be able to alter memories and show that said person the truth behind it all, and trigger their common sense to see the wrongs they did." He then looks towards Regina and Chastity. "Did you girls witnessed any forms of changes, mistakes and seeing the wrongs of the past from serving Leslie Silver and her damned cause?"

They all take their seats and Regina replies. "We did, last night we both woke up and we had some bad dreams and saw everything we did, and saw the wrongs we did when we were working with Leslie and… It was so wrong! It was like, what the heck was wrong with us?!"

Chastity looks down and wipes away some tears. "I just…. She barks and barks all the time about stuff she wants and… She barely acknowledges us or even see that we have opinions too. She doesn't even want to listen to what we have planned, and wants us to follow her plans."

Hope sighs. "Yeah, Gretchen and I have seen all of that too. We have seen that the stuff we do is just horrid, and to listen to everything dumb that Leslie wants, it just…." She slams her fist to the table.

Gretchen knows how she feels, and so does Regina and Chastity and all of them speak. "She is a terrible friend, and a horrible person."

They all stop and look to each other and smile, and now they can see that the truth has been shown, and Regina and Chastity have been removed from the twisted lies and words of Leslie Silver, to see that they don't have to be with Leslie, and that they can do something better than do what she says.

Lincoln, Jordan and Ryan are surprised by this, and this makes them smile and see that they have changed, just as Gretchen and Hope have last year.

Lincoln. 'Thank god! Wow. They have changed, this is… Wow. I think they still love each other, and this might be a good thing. Looks like… Wait, the others. We need to know what they're all gonna think about this. This is gonna be hard to talk about. I hope my sisters are chill with this.'

Jordan. 'Looks like Leslie Silver is all alone now. She won't have any allies to come and do some damage, I mean Karen Houseman hates her, and now we have Regina Westwind and Chastity Higgins, who can see that there is a new way to change and a better future than what Leslie promised.'

Ryan. 'Well, dang. Looks like Lisa is gonna be surprised when she hears about this. A lot of folks will hear about this. That two more of the friends of Leslie Silver have changed, and have seen the error of their ways. Looks like redemption is in their line of sight, that's awesome.'

Regina then looks to Lincoln and Jordan. "Guys, we wanna say… We're sorry for what we did with Leslie. We thought we were doing the right thing, but… We didn't and what we did was…. all horrible."

Chastity also feels bad for what they did. "I just wish… I wish we knew what we were doing in the first place. We didn't even think, we were just… A bunch of dogs, following the master."

Regina pulls her close. "More like puppets, and the puppeteer is Leslie Silver. She made us into who we are, and got us all into deep trouble." She looks to the others. "We know we did so many wrong, and we deserve being here, we'll do what we can to earn forgiveness when we finally come out of…"

"We're gonna talk to your parents about changing the sentence" said Jordan. The others also agree, and this surprises Regina and Chastity.

Regina and Chastity are speechless and only say one thing. "What?"

Hope then speaks. "You girls have shown that the effects did more than show true emotions, it showed you girls the truth behind the darkened silver veil."

Regina is next to speak. "We wanna let you girls find the next shot for redemption and that path is to show that to the others, that you both have changed and are no longer the mean girls of before."

Lincoln nods. "You girls have changed and wish to become better folks, and not make the same mistakes, also I need to know… Are you two still in love?"

Regina and Chastity smile. "Thanks guys, this is… Wow. We won't let you guys down" said Regina. "And that's a promise."

Then Chastity looks towards Lincoln and grins. "You asked, right? Well, this answer your question, Loud?" She then locks lips with Regina, and this surprises them, and then Hope takes a pic of this. They continue this, and then it turns into a make out session.

They look to the guards who have no idea what to do, then one of them whispers. "They do this almost every time, and it's kinda awkward. We get used to it and just let them be.'

They look back towards Regina and Chastity and are still confused, but they see how sweet and yet awkward this is. They all have the same thing in mind. 'If we do manage to get them outta here, this is gonna be a normal awkward thing between them. A really awkward thing.'

A/N: Looks like Regina and Chastity have changed, but their shot to redemption won't be looking good, unless they take their path out of the detention hall and towards the rest of the town and the folks they brought misery and hurtful words.
