The party continued to descend down deeper into the crypt as they faced off against a number of monsters that came into their path.

"Out of our way!" Saaya said, mowing some of them down with Jayson, her chainsaw.

"The deeper we go into this place, the more undead monsters come to try and stop us." Kaibara said, punching a zombie down.

"Not the first time undead tried." Saki said, grabbing one from behind and back slamming it. "Still, it feels good to finally let loose on these guys."

"Yeah but…" Theo said seeing the fallen undead putting themselves back together. "Doesn't help that these guys don't stay down."

"Well since they're undead, why not use healing or light magic?" Atro asked.

"Tried it. It doesn't work. They just regenerate." Theo said.

"Not even Turn Undead has any effect." Ivy said.

"So that must be a secret of this crypt. No matter how many fall, they do not truly stay dead." Raine said.

"Ain't this a kick in the teeth?" Kagura said, annoyed.

"Calm down. They'll likely stay dead once we get that staff away from that woman." Souei said.

"Yeah, the faster we get to her and get that staff, the sooner these guys will stay down and we can get out of here." David said.

"Then let's cut through them and hurry on." Dhar said.

The group advanced onward, cutting through the monsters as they headed deeper into the dungeon. They reached the next floor where they saw a number of ghosts roaming about.

"So we're dealing with ghosts next." Theo said.

"Ghosts… Ghosts, I can handle." David said.

"I can't…" Kaito said.

"Stay calm, Kaito. We'll get through this." Maki said.

"Y-Yeah, no pressure." Mari added, her face a little blue.

"Ghosts are pretty easy to deal with." Ivy said, taking out a strange lantern. She turned it on as its light scared some of them away from its path. "The Spirit's Lantern...capable of repelling all ghosts and spirits."

"Good thinking, Ivy." Hope said. "With this, we can head through the floor without the ghosts attacking us."

"Oh they wouldn't attack us...just possess us and turn us against one another." Ivy said.

"...Terrifying, but I guess it doesn't matter now." Mark said. "Let's keep moving."

They continued downward before they reached another chamber where a number of bats roamed about.

"Now we have bats. What's next? Vampires? Succubi?" Mayumi asked.

"Don't jinx it." Al said.

"What? Just listing possibilities." Mayumi said.

"Plus, we already have a Vampire and Succubus right here with us." Ethox said, mentioning Albedo and Shalltear.

"Don't forget Bloodless." Al said.

"So really, not a lot to worry about here." Valfor said.

"Besides, bats aren't that big a deal to deal with." Kaminari said letting loose some electricity and shocking a number of them.

"Geez...how many of these guys does she plan on sending our way?" Ulrich pondered.

"Hard to say." Erza said. "Though we won't stop until we reach her."

They soon reached what appeared to be the bottom floor.

"Okay...I think this is the bottom but I don't see her." Theo said.

"My beloved...I shall see you soon." A woman's voice was heard.

"She's gotta be here. So let's…" Saki said, about to proceed before she stepped on something. "What the?" she said looking down to some sort of webbing.

"Webbing...guys...I think we just walked into a…" Meowth said as they found themselves entrapped in webs. "Trap."

"Ah...so they send the living to try and stop me." the woman's voice said as three figures approached. A woman with a spider's lower half, a werewolf and a woman dressed in all black as if she were in mourning, holding a white staff.

"You need to think about what you're doing. Bringing back the dead never works well for anyone." Takeshi said.

"That's what they all said too. You cannot stay here everyday. You cannot keep mourning someone after you yourself have passed. It's unsightly for a spirit to mourn a mortal man even if he was your husband." the woman said.

"Wow…" Theo said.

"We were supposed to meet up here in the world of the undead, but he never came after centuries of me waiting for him. I was about to lose hope...until this staff appeared to me one day. I know it has the power to bring him back to me. Then...we can have the life we were destined to have." she said.

"Don't you understand how crazy that all sounds?" Mayumi asked.

"There is a price to pay if you use it."

"Silence! Your words will not stop me from bringing him back!" the widow said. "Now...bare witness...as I break the bonds of life!" she said, banging her staff on the ground as clouds started to form above.
