The Galaxy King left the Flame Universe and flew to its next food neighbor, the Frost Universe. Immediately, everyone noticed the difference. Where scorching hot temperatures over 100 degrees were calculated, they were now in a land covered in snow, ice and temperatures so below zero, they say breath moisture freezes as you exhale.
"Wow, look at all that ice and snow out there." Glimmer looked out the window. "Compared to the Flame Universe, this place feels like an extreme winter."
"Kinda reminds me of Angela's homeland since it always snowed there." Duran said. "No...take it back. This is much colder."
"D-Definitely." Aya said, wearing a designer winter jacket and leggings. "Arandelle is nothing compared to this."
"Well, I don't feel cold at all." Frosta said. "Since I'm from an Ice Kingdom, this is no sweat for me. And I'm also excited too!"
"Because there's the possibility that all of our Ice users will get a major powerup like what happened in the flame universe?" Hope asked.
"It's like one of those elemental fields where one element is strengthened and the opposite is weakened in some RPG's." Mari said.
"I don't think that's how it works. You really should stop comparing these things. It's likely that Ice will be strengthened but no other elements should suffer." Ainz said.
"Still, we don't know what's going to be down there. Best stay sharp." Captain Cold said.
"Hee Ho!" A voice echoed.
"Wait a second… I think I know that voice." David said.
"Hee Ho! Hee Ho!" The voice echoed as a small group of white snowmen with a blue jester outfit were seen running by.
"What are those things?" Agursu asked.
"They're a type of snow demon called Jack Frost. They're essentially snow fairies, so they're known to be pretty peaceful most of the time." Cheetah said.
"Hee Ho?" A Jack Frost said as it turned to the group and waved before continuing after its brethren.
"That's what I call a greeting." Hope said. "Fitting we get welcomed by a Jack Frost parade in an Ice based universe."
"Well if there are this many, there might be a King Frost too." Ace said.
"Most likely. After all, we're going to run into a lot of ice-based creatures while we're here." David said.
"Let's see if we can find the dungeon anywhere around here." Hope said. "It'll be interesting to venture through this universe for the first time."
"Uh...somehow I don't think we need to look hard." Gray said, pointing ahead to see the Jack Frost's running down an open cavern of ice.
"That's convenient. Let the expedition begin." Al said.
"Hee-ho!" Frosta cheered, garnering everybody's stares. "...What? Someone had to say it at least once."
"...You do you, Frosta. Okay, let's go!" ZS declared, the group heading into the cavern… unaware of the figure watching them.
"Ah, so they're here as well. At long last, a chance to meet. One that I will not let slip away." the figure said as they stealthily followed them in.
Inside the caverns, the group walked through the ice laden floors, icicles hanging above them in a beautiful display, as if lights danced in the frozen constructs.
"Wow… can I just say that this dungeon is amazing to look at?" ZS said. "What or whoever made these dungeons really went the extra mile here in terms of the visuals."
"Yes, it is quite beautiful." Selena said, entranced by the cavern.
"Yeah but even the nicest cities have their dark alleys. No telling what monsters live here." Naofumi said.
"Still, I am quite curious as to what we'll run into here." Kentaurosmon said.
"Exactly. None of us have been to this universe before. So, it's hard to say what to expect." Omnimon said.
"Hmm...I think I found one." Weiss said as a large leopard stood at the door.
"A snow leopard…" Cheetah said.
"Huh, how about that; a non-mythical animal." SE said. "Although that one is much bigger than most, and probably a bit more aggressive too."
The snow leopard growled as its claws were coated in ice.
"And is a master cryomancer?!" SE said as they dodged a swipe of their claws.
"What do we keep saying?" Captain Cold asked.
"Calm down, Cap. We can handle this." David said. "Hmm… If Ice attacks gain more power here, then maybe… Ice Needles!" he said as three ice arrows were shot at the leopard. While the Leopard was able to counter two of them, the third one pierced right through the leopard's body as it fell lifeless on the ground. "Oof… Maybe I went a little too far."
"How could it be too far? That was the most basic ice spell he has." Nesma said.
"A couple of factors, actually." Cheetah said. "For one, ice attacks are stronger in this area. Second, he's actually Half-Lunarian, who are known to be potent mages. With this combination of factors, even his most basic spells are lethal."
"Yeah, I'm kind of realizing this now." David said. "Still, a snow leopard with ice powers… Never thought I'd see the day. Well, there was Glacius back in Tokyo, but she's a completely different case altogether."
"But she was a beastman. This is an actual wild animal." Miles said. "It seems all animals and beings here can use ice-based abilities."
"Better watch yourself here, Harpuia." Leviathan said. "Since you and Ice don't mix."
"I understand." Harpuia said as they continued on into the ice filled dungeon, unaware that they were being followed.
