"Going through this dungeon takes me back to all the times we visited the Warrior Universe before." Hope said as the group continued ascending.
"Though it was the first time for me and most of my group." Ace noted.
"Not true. You were with us in the war against Odin, remember?" David asked.
"Oh yeah, that was the second time." Ace said. "Right now this would be our third visit."
"Though we're going to have to be prepared. No idea who else we'll be facing. Or if there will be more than one on each floor." Hera said.
"Yeah, it could be anyone we fought alongside during the war against the Allfather." Simon said.
As soon as they reached the second floor, lights began to flicker on as three figures sat there, one of them very recognizable.
"Ah...so it's you people again." they said.
"No way...Mitsunari?" Hope said. "Kiyomasa? Masanori?"
"Indeed...seems like a twist of fate for us to fight like this." Mitsunari said drawing his fan.
"Indeed, Mitsunari. It certainly has been a long time." David said.
"These three served alongside Hideyoshi Toyotomi, didn't they?" Saki asked.
"Yes, they have. These three were among his most favorable retainers." Cheetah said.
"They were often referred to as Hideyoshi's children since they were so close to him." Mayumi said.
"But today...we are your enemies." Kiyomasa said drawing his scythe.
"Yeah...so don't even think about running." Masanori said, raising his club.
"Oh, believe me. We don't plan to." David said. "Anyone else want in on this?"
"I want in on the fun." Legolia said.
"I think I'll test their skill as well." Gabiru replied.
"Very well...let's not keep things waiting any longer." Mitsunari said as the three men moved in to attack.
"I hope you're ready, Mitsunari. I won't hold back!" David said.
"Let's see how strong you've gotten." Mitsunari said.
While David and Mitsunari clashed, Masanori charged at Legolia, aiming to smash her, but the High Elf used her agility to dodge him. She faked him out with a curved regular arrow and then hit him with a frost arrow, freezing his arm. However, Masanori still pressed on, swinging again, but Legolia evaded.
"A little too slow, but I admire the enthusiasm!" Legolia said as she brought out another arrow, notched her bow, and fired.
"Well….I...shut up!" Masanori said, slamming down on the arrow.
"You really shouldn't have done that." Legolia said. "That was a Shock Arrow."
"Say what?" Masanori said as the arrow sparked as its electricity travelled through the weapon, electrocuting him as he fell to the ground.
"Nice, Legolia!" Ethox said as Legolia saluted with a smirk.
"A very impressive victory indeed. But now, watch as the great Gabriu takes down the one standing before him." Gabiru said as his spear clashed with Kiyomasa's sickle.
"You're quite skilled, lizard." Kiyomasa said.
"I am the one known as Gabiru. Remember it for it is the name of the one who will best you! Ha!" Gabiru spoke as he lunged at Kiyomasa as he managed to take him down with ease.
"Hmm...you've gained some impressive allies, Ishihara." Mitsunari said.
"Sure have. We've been through quite a lot since the last time we met. And our bonds carried us through thick and thin, even in the face of certain death." David said.
"Glad to hear it." Mitsunari said as they continued to clash with sword going against fan.
"And...it was thanks to them that I was able to accomplish my dream. I owed everything to them. And that is why…" David started. "That's why I don't intend to back down now!" he said as he broke into a sprint as he prepared his blade.
Mitsunari prepared to swing his fan only for David's blade to knock it out of his hand as he held his blade to Mitsunari's neck. "Hmm...well played. I have no choice but to concede."
The door to the next floor soon opened as the three warriors started to fade.
"It was an honor seeing you again, Mitsunari. May the stars of fate reunite us again." David said.
"Let's hope so." Mitsunari said as he completely faded away with Kiyomasa and Masanori.
"You seem to share a very interesting relationship." Agursu said.
"Even though we're 400 years apart. That's what you were going to say, right?" David asked.
"Uh...I suppose." Agursu said.
"Some bonds are just capable of transcending space. Some cases, even time." Bassam said.
"Age gaps make no difference after all, whether it's friendship or a romantic one." Spade said.
"Either way...it was nice to see him again. Let's hope we meet him again." Hope said as they continued onward.
