"Hmm. I must say this place is quite astounding." A girl with long purple hair said in a dignified manner.
"Yeah. Who knew this library could hold so much knowledge about our universe?" Another girl with pink hair added.
"I wonder if your old friend Litty is here, a place like this would certainly benefit her psychic research." The purple haired girl said. "Then again, I do sense more visitors here."
The two girls then came across Ultra, looking at the name of the section.
"Hm, the Legends of the Dark Witch… probably not what I'm looking for…" Ultra mused before he spotted the two. "Hm? Oh, hello there."
"Good day to you." The purple haired girl said.
"Huh… you two look a little familiar." Ultra said. "Don't get me wrong, I don't have any idea who you two are.. But the way you look… kinda reminds me of a couple members of Spirit Force. You wouldn't happen to be friends with girls by the names of Al, Mari, Papelne or Litty, would you?"
"Oh yes, we are quite familiar with them. I am a fellow researcher of Mari and Litty." The pink haired girl said. "My name is Klinsy, I am a librarian who researches the Hemisphere."
"And I am Neville, her understudy and once a fellow member of the Magic Lion Corps with Al." The purple haired girl known as Neville said.
"Well, pleasure to meet you. I'm Ultra, member of the Fatebreakers and the Mythos Hearts guild." Ultra introduced. "You two must've been part of one of the two groups to get here before us, huh?"
"It is just us two as one of the groups." Neville said.
"Oh, right." Ultra said. "Anyways, if you want to say hi to one of your friends, I think I saw Litty heading to some section about clairvoyance, a few sections to the left. Oh, and you probably already know this, but keep out of the golems way."
"Yes, so we learned when we arrived." Neville said. "Good day to you, master of the Ultra Beasts." she said, walking away.
"Thanks for the info!" Klinsy added, following her.
"What a couple of nice girls." Ultra noted to himself. "Now, where's that bond section…?"
Meanwhile…
"Well...this is a strange scene." Subaru said as he and some others watched some books being taken by four strange creatures.
"Mr. Mime, Sneasel, Fletchling and an Alolan Meowth. Huh…" Oshawott said.
"They must be one of the groups that entered." Adora said.
"It would seem so." Reala said.
"And it looks like they're stealing from the library. Wait...that Sneasel...oh I thought they seemed familiar. We encountered that thief on Sky Peak." Odd said.
"And it looks like they're taking from the library." Elize said.
"We gotta stop them!" Teepo said.
"I don't think we need to worry." Shirou said, pointing out the big, hulking golem marching towards the four Pokémon. "They're about to be more than worried, though."
"They're gonna get flattened like pancakes!" Lillianna said.
As the golem was reaching for them, it hit a sort of invisible barrier as it stumbled backward.
"You do know Mr. Mime is able to do that, right, Shirou?" Teepo asked.
"Oh, right. They can project invisible Psychic barriers." Shirou said.
"Looks like they really planned ahead with this scheme." Subaru said.
"But they're still stealing books from this place. We can't let them get away." Elize said.
"Okay...this one's full. Okay...time to take it back out." Sneasel said as Fletchling sighed as it took the bag in its beak as the Alolan Meowth helped to carry the bag away.
"That Fletchling doesn't look too happy." Hope said.
"I get the feeling he's just an unwilling accomplice in this whole plot." Jade C said.
"Or it could be 'cause it has to carry that heavy bag." Subaru said. "Which I get. Little bird with a big bag of books."
"They're still mistreating the poor thing." Elize said. "He can't carry it by himself, so his partner has to help. At the same time, though… It's kind of heartwarming to see."
"Then let's put them in a situation where they'll be in trouble and have to stop." Subaru said, rushing in. "Hey...book thieves!"
"Huh? Oh...just some guy." Sneasel said.
"Oh yeah...oh...look at this." Subaru said, taking a book from the shelves and opening it. "Not sure I like this page."
"Whoa...what are you doing?" Sneasel asked.
"Just a little...editing." Subaru said, ripping a page out.
"You idiot!" Sneasel said as the golem that had tried to walk past earlier turned around as its eyes glowed red.
"Rule Violation: Vandalism of library materials is strictly prohibited." it muttered as it marched towards them only to hit the barrier.
"Ha...long as we have that we're…" Sneasel said before the golem wound up a punch before shattering the barrier. "Safe?"
"But how?! Mr. Mime stopped it before!" Alolan Meowth said in shock.
"It must be because it was only just patrolling. Now it's in full attack mode." Sneasel said.
"What is Subaru up to?" Hope asked.
"Ruining their scheme." Subaru said, grabbing the bag. "Try and get me!" he said.
"Our loot! After him!" Alolan Meowth said as the four Pokémon chased after him.
"He's crazy but gotta give him credit for that." Saki said.
"Hopefully he can make it out...without being demolished by golems." Odd said.
"He might not have exceptional combat or magic skills like the other Isekai… but he sure is quick to come up with stuff." Goblin Slayer mentioned. "Subaru's strength must lie in his brain and courage."
"Yeah, he wasn't even afraid of that golem. That just goes to show how tough his fortitude is after going through everything he's been through." Hope said.
"And at the same time, he's leading the thieves out of the library." Oshawott said.
"Ha...now that is clever." Odd said.
With Subaru, he continued to run out in a panic before reaching the entrance as the thieves toppled him.
"You son of a...you ruined our theft. You have any idea how much anyone would pay for these books?" Sneasel said.
"So what? I got out of there and ruined your scheme." Subaru said.
"Big deal. We already made it out with nine full bags of those books." Alolan Meowth said.
"You mean these?" A voice said as Litty was seen levitating them.
"Ah...crap." Alolan Meowth sighed.
"She's just a little girl, we can easily take them back." Sneasel said.
"Yeah but too bad you aren't getting anymore out." Subaru said.
"Least we aren't as bad as you...leaving your friends inside to hang." Fletchling said.
"You clearly underestimate them. Subaru isn't the kind of person to leave his friends behind." Litty said.
"This girl clearly does not understand the rules in play with this place." Alolan Meowth said.
"What are you talking about?" Subaru asked.
"You entered as a group...they aren't blaming individuals...your whole group will pay for your infraction." Sneasel said.
"What?!" Subaru said in surprise.
"It's true. We tested the rule ourselves." Alolan Meowth said.
"Oh no…" Subaru said, looking back at the library.
"What the heck?" Oshawott said as a golem approached them.
"All rule violators must be apprehended." the golem said.
"What?! But, we didn't do anything!" Kaibara said
"You were entered as a group. One person violating the rules equal retribution against the entire group." the golem said.
"Would've been nice for tracksuit to think about that before ripping up the page." Seiya said.
"This is no time for backsass, Seiya!" Ristarte said.
"Guess we've got no choice… we have to take this golem down!" Hope said.
"You're right." Kaibara said drilling a hole through the golems shoulder only for the hole to repair itself. "Okay...that was unexpected."
"They're able to regenerate. Unless we figure out a way to destroy it permanently, this could take awhile." DJ said.
"If this golem has that ability, there must be a core somewhere in its body powering it, right?" Kendo asked. "We destroy it, the Golem can't repair itself."
"Yeah...but what about all of those?" Odd said seeing multiple golems converging on their location.
"Oh, damn it all." DJ said. "We're in an unwinnable situation, aren't we?"
"Don't think like that, DJ." Hope said. "But these odds are getting a bit too dicey. Maybe we should retreat?"
"Or...we find the librarian. If this is some library, there has to be a librarian in charge." Odd said.
"Okay...that works too. Let's contact the others. Have them search the place." Hope said as they spread out.
