"Okay...so we just need to insert the stones into the door and then we get the treasure." Meowth said.
"Yeah...provided we're uninterrupted. Cause in this universe…" Hope said as something crashed through a wall. "There's always some unexpected twist."
Appearing through the hole in the wall was the Black Order all together. Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Supergiant, Cull Obsidian, and Ebony Maw.
"It's them." Miriam said.
"How fortunate that this great fortress returns the six infinity stones to the present." Ebony Maw said. "I have not forgotten what you did, Treasure Thief, when you sent the stones away."
"Better than them being in the hands of that tyrant." Al said.
"They are forever destined to be in the hands of Thanos." Corvus said. "And nothing you can do will ever change that."
"Oh, is that right?" Hope said as the stones were put behind them. "Well, you five want these stones so badly? Come and get 'em!"
Both groups then readied themselves before charging at one another. But before any of them could hit the other… they suddenly found themselves both frozen in time.
Tanya, G. Aqua, Subaru, David, Al and Ainz stood there.
"Well...that was certainly surprising." Ainz said.
"What? But...how can you…" Ebony said.
"A word of advice, before using things like stopping time, you should really check to make sure your opponents don't have resistance to it." Ainz said.
"But wait, who froze everybody?" G. Aqua asked.
"I did." Thane said, stepping forward, time stone in hand.
"Thane?" Tanya asked. "What are you doing?"
"I knew I had a reason not to trust this guy… He wants the Infinity Stones for himself." David said.
"Thane…" Al said as she looked at the Inhuman.
"They may be merciless killers, but, thankfully, the Black Order saw a value in me that my father never did." Thane said.
"Father?" Subaru asked.
"Let me reintroduce myself. I am Thane...son of Thanos." he said.
"He's the son of Thanos?" G. Aqua asked, turning to Al. "And you knew about this?"
"Yes, but he's nothing like Thanos, he helped us a great deal on containing the Infinity Stones." Al said.
"When are you going to stop falling for his lies? He's holding the Time Stone in his hand right now!" David said.
"Hold on David, don't jump to conclusions yet." Subaru said. "Thane, I know you're thinking that you wanna team up with the Black Order, but don't make the same mistakes your father did. You don't have to do any of this. Al trusts you, so make us believe you're good. You're not your dad."
Thane then looked to the time stopped Reformed Society, Ultimate Alliance, and Miriam as he then looked down.
"You're right." Thane said. "I'm sorry. I… am not Thanos." he said before he was struck by something from behind as he collapsed.
(Cue-Kings of Infinity- Brandon Yates)
"Thane!" Al said before looking up to see a large shadow stomping toward them.
"And you never will be." announced the familiar sight of one Titan Tyrant. "There is only one."
Thanos
Mad Titan. Cosmic Threat Number One.
Thanos then raised his left hand up which was the Infinity Gauntlet as the Infinity Stones levitated into the air before flying around him as they soon inserted into the six slots on it. "And from this day forth...he reigns supreme." he declared as he raised it into the air as all six glowed.
"Not today, or ever you lumbering Madman!" Tanya said, blasting Thanos with an artillery spell. Thanos shook it off before facing those who stood before him and charged, smashing a few of them into another room in the fortress as the battle against the Mad Titan began.
"Yes! Show me all the power you possess! And in return, I shall do the same!" Thanos said.
Thanos started charging as he came towards Al.
"Oh no." Al said before Subaru stood between them.
"You're going to die, boy." Thanos said.
"Go ahead and try." Subaru cried as Thanos charged. As soon as he got close, something suddenly sucker punched the titan, sending him reeling back. "Whoa...uh...thanks guys."
"Hmm...you saw what happened right?" Tanya asked.
"Yes." Ainz said as they remember seeing an unseen hand emerge from Subaru and uppercutting Thanos.
"Whoa, that was awesome Subaru!" Al said.
"What is this?" Thanos asked. "What kind of power are you hiding, boy?"
"I'm not hiding anything!" Subaru said.
"Do not deceive me! I know whatever struck me came from you." Thanos said. "If you won't show it to me, I'll force it out!"
Thanos charged at Subaru.
"Okay...this may end up being a gamble but…" Subaru said. "I can return from…" he said as time seemed to stop for a moment before resuming. "And I'm back! But…" he said before Thanos fell over.
"This… is not… how it ends…" Thanos said. "How it…" he said before falling lifeless to the ground.
"Whoa...what did you…" G. Aqua said.
"It's something I remembered from a past loop. It only happened with one other person…" Subaru said.
"It was Emilia wasn't it?" Al asked as Subaru just looked away.
"Sensitive subject, huh?" G. Aqua asked, understanding.
"Well, at least we've taken care of Thanos." Tanya said.
"So you have." Thane said walking up with Ebony Maw right behind him.
"Thane… Don't think we've forgotten about you." David said.
Maw approached Thanos and checked him.
"Well?" Thane asked.
"It's no illusion. They actually killed your father." Maw said.
"Good." Thane said, eyes glowing purple. "He may have dreamed of oblivion, but madness clouded his vision. Thankfully, I can see what he couldn't." Thane raised his left arm as the Infinity gauntlet slipped off of Thanos's lifeless body and onto his own arm. "This entire universe deserves so much more. Something only I can give it."
"Thane, don't! This isn't you!" Al said.
"Ah, but you were right all along, my friends." Thane said. "I am not my father."
He then used the space stone to teleport everyone back to the main chamber. Thane raised the Infinity Gauntlet up towards the door as the stones glowed, opening it as six colored portals were behind it.
"I am something far better." Thane said, using the stones to pull pieces of armor out of them, assembling them onto his body as he soon floated into the air as energy emitted from it.
Infinity Armor
Forged for Infinite Power. Way more than a glove.
"Behold! The very item you were searching for by collecting the stones. This is the Infinity Armor!" Thane said.
"That's a lot of energy emitting from that set…" Hope said, the other heroes released from the time stop. "No mistake about it, that's definitely a World Item he's got on."
"Thane, please don't do this!" Miriam said.
"Shut up…" David said. "Listen to the way he is now. Yeah, Thanos is a real piece of work, but… He's acting like his own father didn't matter to him."
"Yeah, I mean… My dad was a bit of a scumbag, too. But at the end of the day, he's still my pop." Captain Cold said.
"None of us like this any more than you do, Miriam." Hope said. "But now that Thane's like this, we've got no other option. We have to take him down."
"Hope is right. No matter how bad someone is, you should never, above all else, disrespect your own family." David said. "He's no friend of ours, never was."
"Prepare yourselves everyone. It's time we take down this wayward son and reclaim what we came for." Mirror Match said.
"Come and take this armor from me, if you can." Thane said as he released power.
(Music Shift: Throw Away Your Mask- Persona 5 Royal)
"This armor is capable of so much more than one mere gauntlet. Witness its unbridled power!" Thane called as he unleashed a myriad of attacks powered by the Infinity Stones and armor.
"Sorry Thane, but we didn't come all this way just to be vaporized by someone who's trying to be better than his abusive dad!" Hope said, blasting him back in Azure God Burst Mode.
"We're all for trying to help people change, but if they refuse to do so, then we have to kick their butt!" Mark said, firing a Kamehameha in Angel Mode.
Thane braced himself as the attacks hit him dead on. "Even with this armor, these people are still formidable."
"That's just how we are, Thane. Humanity is a developing species, capable of performing feats that would normally be deemed impossible." David said. "We struggle, we suffer, we fight, we live, we push forward. That's what it means to be human. Something that you or your father would never understand." he said as he entered Sapphire God: Armament.
"Yeah...I gotta agree. You're not going to last long." Jexi said entering Golden God Mode Burst.
Thane harnessed the power of the six stones one by one, trying to fight the heroes as they came at him. But the heroes proved to be quite resilient.
"That armor is what we came for." Hope said, punching Thane in the face before grabbing his right gauntlet. "And it's too much for you to handle. So we're taking it off you." he said, pulling the gauntlet off.
"No!" Thane said.
"Guys! We have to pull the armor off Thane!" Hope said.
"Way ahead of you." David said.
"Same." Jexi said, grabbing Thane from behind. "Let's see how you enjoy this." he said as his own armor glowed as he jumped up and brought Thane to the ground using a spinning takedown.
Thane groaned before realizing he was no longer in his armor. "No!"
"Sorry...but you have no right to this armor we worked hard to obtain." Jexi said. "But do not worry...we'll leave you a parting gift for your help obtaining it."
Thane looked up to see the four powered up leaders looking down on him.
"What are you going to do with me? Kill me?" Thane asked.
"No, that's not what we do." Hope said.
"That's what I'd do, but… Nah, he's not worth it." David said.
"But you are gonna spend your life behind bars. We'll leave you and the Black Order for the Nova Corps to pick up, so you're all shipped off to the Kyln." Hope said.
"But before then...a special taste of some of our team work." Jexi said as he, David, Hope and Mark rushed at Thane as streaks of gold, sapphire, azure and white filled the air as Thane was overwhelmed.
"Team Combination: Quartet Strike!" the four of them said.
Thane was knocked against the wall hard, falling to the ground. Unconscious, but alive.
"Sorry it had to come to that, Thane. But you shouldn't've been tempted by the stones, like everyone else who held them." Hope said. "And I should apologize to you two as well, Al, Miriam. I know the guy helped you out, but…"
"No. You're right. Thane was tempted by the Infinity stones and couldn't resist them. All the same, the both of us are glad he isn't dead." Miriam said. "You made your choice, Thane, I hope one day, you'll realize your mistakes."
The group gathered up the Infinity Stones and Armor and left before the dungeon Collapsed. They then turned Thane and the Black Order over to the Nova Corps, who were more than happy to send them all to the Kyln for everything they've done.
"Well, with Thane imprisoned and your version of Thanos dead, I guess all loose ends are tied up, right?" Hope said.
"For now, at least." Gamora said. "If there's one thing I know about Thanos, he always finds a way back, even from the grave."
"When he does, We will be ready." Black Panther assured.
"Thanos and Thane may be out of the way, but your Infinity Stones aren't." Ristarte said.
"And as long as they're still together, the threat they pose is too great." Captain Marvel said.
"Then we split them up." Star-Lord interjected. It was at that moment that the Alliance decided to divide the six stones between themselves. Space for the Guardians, Time for Doctor Strange, Power for Thor, Soul for Black Panther, Reality for Captain Marvel, and Mind for Iron Man, all at opposite and possibly beyond the ends of the Universe, until they find a way to stop them for good.
Later, near the Galaxy King…
"Wait, so you guys are gonna keep the Infinity Armor?" Ms. Marvel asked.
"It's better than leaving it for anyone else to just use." Hope said. "Ainz has tons of world items. He can stash this away in his vault."
"Either way, without the Infinity Stones, it's pretty much just another set of armor." Jesse said.
"With the Stones being scattered by the rest of The Alliance, and us in possession of the armor, there's no possible way that anyone's gonna use them all together." Ethox said. "But, if anyone tries to use one of the stones for something, make sure to at least give us a call."
"Don't worry. We will." Ms. Marvel said as the Alliance departed.
"Okay...now where to go next…" Hope pondered.
"Well...what about the Steam Universe? We don't visit it that often." Mark suggested.
"True. We haven't been home in awhile too." Gemini added. "I know! While we look for the dungeon, let's explore the main core of the Steam Universe!"
"Guess we know our next destination. To the Steam Universe we go!" Hope said.
