Hello everyone, this is a project of mine where i set for a reconstruction of the world of Sword Art Online, maintaning its premise and characters, but changing the rest for a overall more cohesive and more developed story, with a focus on the survival in a hostile world aspect (hence the changed title), hope you enjoy reading as much i enjoy writing it.

What if everyone's memories of Kirito in Sword Art Online had to disappear so that him and Asuna could survive? After successfully escaping the death game, the lovers finally meet again in the school attended by the game's victims. Despite not recognizing each other, they both feel an undeniable connection. Having been the black sheep of their family, they decided to say standards are for chumps and went into SAO. When they were trapped, and their appearance was changed, the elected to hide. So, they became a myth in the game, a story to scare the other players: The Shadow of Aincrad. (In actuality, they weren't scary, just very intimidating.)

They had broken up 2 years ago after a argument. It lead them both to depression. They still had their daughter, Yui a 4 year old perfect little angel who spent the week days at Asuna's and the weekends at Kazuto's.

A few weeks have passed since Takeshi and Mitsuko haven't returned from another world. Ryu and Yumi head to the world to find them. They discovered a game called SAO. What they didn't know was that they're going to be trapped and have to survive while looking for his siblings. (I'm planning to rewrite this story)
