Spells and Louds
Chapter 505: Royal Winter Woods.
(Spellman Estate.)
The aftermath of the incident with Chris McLane's escape from jail is done with, and everyone is back to seeing that it never happened, but it did and is recorded in history and through the FutureTech log dates. Right now they're all enjoying this moment of peaceful winter fun and everyone is doing what they can to get ready, for the most wonderful time of the year.
On the roof, Lincoln and Luna look to the forest and see as different kinds of winter born Pokémon are going through they're normal days in the snow and enjoying their own company.
Lincoln sighs and he leans onto his mom, both of them don't really need winter clothing, since Luna is powered with Cryo and Lincoln has her blood, they both can handle this cold.
"So, what the heck are we planning for this Christmas kiddo?" asked Luna.
"No clue, but chances we might have one big an epic winter fight when the time comes, recall last time?" asked Lincoln.
Luna chuckles. "How can I forget? We all went all-out and pretty much destroyed each other, and I have a hard time trying to recall which side one."
"Same here" replied Lincoln. He then recalls. "So, I know things are gonna be a whole lot different with the whole family not being that related anymore, I mean we're not the kids of the Spellman family. You're the sister of Neil, Leon, Sergei and Sabrina and now I'm your kid and I'm the cousin to Leni, Sunset, Timmy, Linka and Lily, and also you're the auntie to them as well."
Luna sighs. "Things are gonna be an odd thing to handle with everything being different now and I do hope we can manage to pull through with the new life, I mean we don't have any major foes to handle with anymore. Recall that the clones are gone for good."
"True, they'll die in time and we still do what we do and still fight the fights necessary, but I think the one foe we have to handle is Salem and her grimm, when we do have the chance to go over and help Penny and the Huntsmen and Huntresses" replied Lincoln.
"Soon Linc, soon we will get back to the fight on Mantle and Atlas and we will stop Salem and we will secure the Staff of Creation" replied Luna. "We're Royal Defenders and when one of us needs help, then all of us have to come and assist."
"We stick together, we fight together and we continue the battles, the mission and keep everyone safe from harm" replied Lincoln. He then leans onto Luna's shoulder and calms down with her.
Luna pulls her son close to her. "Always and always kiddo, always." They continue to enjoy this peace and quiet together.
Just then Gwen comes up the roof, with Michelle Lewis and they have hot chocolate with them. "Hey guys, need something to drink?" asked Michelle.
They then take some hot chocolate. "Thanks." They all watch as the forest is coated in white and everything seems so peaceful.
"So, you guys talking about what's been going on with Penny or talking about the whole mother and son thing, or the issue with McLane from yesterday?" asked Gwen.
"Well, we weren't discussing about McLane, where is he now?" asked Lincoln.
"Locked back up, but somewhere deep at another place in Nebraska and this time he's on maximum lockdown and solitary confinement" replied Gwen. "The bastard deserved it after what he dragged you and the others into."
"He won't be able to bail out, the man is due for a life sentence and is never, ever getting out" replied Michelle Lewis. "Also, the Ridonculous Race is gonna be back on the summer."
Lincoln and Luna are shocked. "Wait what?!"
Gwen nods. "It's dang right true. Don said that he's gonna have some contestants from the Total Drama franchise and the Ridonculous Race guys be part of it, to see who can win the prize as they go around the world once again and I got the call that Owen and Noah are back in it, again."
"Looks like we got a show to keep track when the summer begins, when does the whole thing start?" asked Luna.
"No clue, but they'll keep me informed and then we can all watch the new season of the Ridonculous Race" replied Gwen.
"Chances we won't watch it all together, recall that Luna has a big plan for herself and Lincoln when the summer vacation begins" replied Michelle Lewis.
"Right, well at least we can still watch it even if the whole family isn't together" replied Gwen.
"We're all not gonna be far from home, we have the plan set and with the help from Michelle, it's all gonna be an easy breezy thing" replied Luna.
Lincoln looks to all of them and is confused. "Yeah, still in the dark here. I don't know what this plan is and I know it's gonna be a surprise."
Luna kisses his forehead and she pulls him close. "In time little buddy, in time and then you'll love what we have planned for just the two of us together, as mother and son."
They enjoy the scenery of the forest, then they see an explosion of ice from the distance and are shocked. "You guys saw that right?" asked Michelle. They then see another blast of ice in the woods.
Absol and Loudred go to them. "Lincoln, Luna. We were sent back here by Linka, Loni and Fluttershy and something of ice-type is attacking them!"
Lincoln and Luna are now in their hero attire and they finish their hot chocolate. "The fun never stops!" Luna makes an ice road and Lincoln rides with her, and their Pokémon follow behind.
Gwen also has her hero gear on and she jumps off the house. "Michelle, watch over Lily. Be right back!" Her Gothitelle follows her and uses telekinesis to help them go there faster.
Michelle is now worried. 'What the heck is going on over there?'
(Somewhere in the woods.)
Fluttershy along with Linka, Loni and they're Pokémon make a run for it through the forest and they're Pokémon are doing what they can to fight whatever is chasing them.
Dartrix and Arcanine continue pushing back whatever is trying to attack them, and they all run when they do this. "What the heck?! I didn't think this kind of Pokémon would even be here!" said Linka.
"Keep running!" said Loni. He jumps over the log, Linka grabs Fluttershy and they go under and the Pokémon follow them.
Fluttershy is scared at what they have seen. "What kind of Pokémon was that?!"
Then an ice beam nearly hits them and they look back to see, that it's a Regice that is after them and it makes it's very creepy sound as it follows them.
"That is Regice and that thing is made right out of the Legendary Pokémon Regigas!" said Linka, she ducks down from an incoming ice beam.
"This was supposed to be a normal trip to feed some of the young Pokémon, how the heck did it go so wrong?!" Loni knocks over an old tree and the tree falls and lands in front of Regice. The ice-type Pokémon then finds an alternate route and continues to follow them.
They continue to run and the Pokémon with them do what they can to slow it down.
"Can't we talk to it to stop or ask what's wrong and why it's doing this?" asked Fluttershy.
"You wanna talk to that guy? You wanna ask the Regice a question? We'll I got you're answer Pegasus, that kind of Pokémon is territorial and obviously it found us near its borders and why the heck is it even in our world?!" said Linka. She then uses her crossbow to blast some snow to make a large clumped wall.
But the Regice breaches it and chases after them with its creepy voice.
They then stop when they see a dead end and they're ready to fight. "We have to face the Regice and get it to leave!" said Loni.
"Then let's have a battle guys!" said Linka. They're Pokémon are ready for a fight, like one, two, and three!
Fluttershy closes her eyes and hides behind something, and that something begins to move in a formation and they get within the formation with Arcanine and Dartrix and this confuses them.
"What the heck are those?" asked Loni.
They are being helped out by some new Pokémon and they seem to be in rows. Each one has a leader with a large red horn and shield arms and they all have black faces, yellow armor and light blue eyes. They all look to Regice and are ready for a fight.
"What kind of Pokémon are you guys?" asked Linka.
The little Pokémon use endure and then harden shell and they deflect the blasts of ice from Regice and all of them use focus beam, and with the fire blast from Arcanine and the bullet seed from Dartrix, the Regice is pushed back a bit, but holds the line.
They then charge at the Regice and the four rows of these little fighting-type Pokémon go in for a tackle and close combat and this gives Arcanine an opening for a Flamethrower and for Dartrix to use Solar Beam and the Regice falls to the ground and then gets back up.
But Regice is knocked away when these little fighting-type Pokémon charge in and they all use Gyro ball and then knock the Regice away once again and this time it flees from the scene.
"Yeah you better run!" said Linka. She and Loni and Fluttershy then go over and see the little new Pokémon, now what the heck are you guys?"
Fluttershy goes to one of them and they gather around Fluttershy. "Umm, hi there."
Loni then picks one of them up and he trips and the leader of this small Pokémon formation is on him and judging from his eyes, looks happy and Loni chuckles and hugs the little guy. "They sure look cute." The rest gather around Loni and are also happy.
Linka pets some of them and she kisses their forehead which makes them happy. "Thanks guys, thanks for helping us out." even Dartrix and Arcanine go over and interact with these new fighting-type Pokémon.
Fluttershy grabs some fruit from her basket and she gives some to these little troopers. "I don't know what kind of Pokémon these guys are, but they sure seem friendly, almost like they wanna keep this forest safe and I am surprised they're not freezing from this weather."
Linka then has her phone and she gathers with some of these little new Pokémon. "Say cheese guys! Everyone is gonna wanna see you lot." They all look happy as they take a selfie and Loni and Fluttershy get involved as well.
Then Lincoln and Luna arrive with their Absol and Loudred. "Guys, we saw the whole…. What the heck is this?" asked Luna.
They watch as Linka, Loni and Fluttershy enjoy the company of these little shield, formation, fighting-type Pokémon. "Can someone tell me what the heck is going on and what kind of Pokémon these guys are?" asked Lincoln.
(Rose Swarm Hive Cluster.)
Jordan along with her Alpha Brood Mother, Ros'Shato are looking to the Swarm that are now being given new enhancements so they can handle the cold weather.
Watching this happen are Neil, Victor and Lisa.
"Well, the Zerg will be able to spend their first ever winter, and Abathur's new research on advanced climate survivability is gonna work wonders for the swarm and starting with this brood" replied Neil.
"Why the heck is Lisa here?" asked Victor.
"I wish to witness on the adaptation of the Zerg forces with the new enhancements from the evolution master Abathur and also know more about what is going on with Atlas and the world of Remnant" replied Lisa.
"Still not gonna tell ya" replied Victor. "Also, what's the state of Boomer and Mulligan? I haven't had any calls or info on them."
"Boomer and Katherine are doing fine, they visit each other sometimes. Sometimes, Katherine Mulligan goes to his airship to visit him, and sometimes Boomer goes to her home and visits her" replied Neil. "They like to keep things balanced with their now new found relationship life."
"Did she announce her condition yet?" asked Victor.
"Negative, she still hasn't told anyone else about herself being pregnant and due to next year on July to have that child" replied Lisa. "She's still on the news system and will continue her work till January begins. Chances she will make the announcement when the month is coming to a close, so we can expect she will tell everyone when it is December 31st."
"Which if I should remind all of you is Lana Louds birthday" replied victor.
"Oh man. How the hell did I forget about that one?" said Neil. "I'll need to talk to Lynn Sr and Rita about that one."
"Chances mother and father are going to be once again planning the same surprise party, as usual" replied Lisa. "Also, I must inform you all that more and more Galarian class Pokémon have taken refuge in the woods, I spotted what appeared to be the new Pokémon, known as Falinks in formation within the forest neighboring the Spellman Estate."
"There are so many new Pokémon coming, hell I can't even keep track of all of them and I haven't even gotten a single word from Martin or what the hell he's doing in FutureTech" replied Victor.
Lisa and Neil look to the Tesla powered man. "Wait, what?"
"You heard me guys" said Victor. "The guy has been cooped up in the dark and secrets lab within the base, that's where we keep all of our top secret and classified projects and we don't usually go in there alone. The whole operation on secret stuff is a team effort and yet Martin is the one there and doing something, without me or anyone else knowing."
"Chances GLADIS knows and is not planning to inform anyone" replied Lisa. "Have there been any odd activity within the place?"
Victor then recalls. "Very loud roars, shaking and the sound of small explosions. Almost like there's something down there with Martin and he's doing something to that said something in the base. I don't know what it is, but I don't like it."
"The answers we'll find lie within, so be patient and try to observe whatever the guy is planning down there" replied Neil. "I have a feeling that something big will come, and we don't know if it's good or bad."
Neil then sees the Infested Battlecruiser, the S.S Alexander has arrived in orbit. "What the hell does the Infested Admiral want this time?" He then goes over to see what Stukov wants.
Lisa then gets a notification and she smiles at the selfie from Linka. 'Looks like they have faced the Falinks, more and more folks in town are bound to see this and get curious, they are adorable but not to be trifled with.'
Then Lisa thinks about something. 'Now what on earth is Martin McKenzie up to in FutureTech? What is he making in there, or better yet, what is he dealing with?'
(Somewhere in the Royal Fortress.)
Martin goes down from the ladder and then back onto the platform and he looks to his chained prisoner and experiment.
Grimm Megoliath, but this is an Alpha Grimm Megoliath – larger and sharper ice-like spikes on their back and have ice-like horns atop their mask. Their front tusks are much larger and curve back toward their face before curving again to the point up. They have additional armor on their lower legs and trunk. There are also red markings along the sides of their tusks.
The creature is far more durable and powerful than the normal Grimm Megoliath, and can take any kind of punishment, like a laser blast from Penny Polendina. The tusks are heat resistant and require a lot of focus fire to be destroyed and the creature is faster and more intelligent.
Martin then looks through the research he's been working on. "These Grimm are not just mindless monsters for Salem. They once were when they were under her thrall, but when left alone for some time, then they can become nothing more than independent beasts with their own mind."
"As from the research I heard from the stories of the Huntsmen and those of the past, they're smart enough to know that when they attack humans, they end up angering all of them. Which means they know when to avoid danger and how to become stronger."
"But perhaps I can be able to channel the mind of the Grimm so they can become independent and see through the ways of Salem and they can probably live the life of common animals in the wilds, but how?"
Martin then looks to the Alpha Megoliath and it looks towards him. "GLADIS! I'm gonna need every inch of research tech down here now and no one else comes in here, but me."
Martin goes back onto the platform and he begins the scan near the eyes of the beast. He then places his hand on its mask.
"Easy big guy, I just wanna help you become less of a slave from the clutches of Salem and through this I can free the rest of your kind from her control… Just like… Like the Zerg Swarm."
Martin then looks through the rest of the files, the ones from the deceased Doctor Narud, and the research on how to isolate the hive mind of Zerg. "Let's hope what that shape shifting bastard made can work."
