Chapter 518: Cursed? Really?
Based off of the Casagrandes episode "Cursed" To be real here, that episode was horrible!
(Seven-eleven, Royal Woods.)
Snow still blanket most of the town and a snow storm is reported for the next day and right now four kids and enjoying some of the warm beverages they have there.
Who are these kids? Well, they're preteens.
Lincoln A. Spellman, Jordan Rosato, Linka A. Spellman and Jordan (Jo) Rosato. Looks like Linka's boyfriend from the gender bent world is here to hang out with them.
"Well, this has been an awesome day for us and I have never even had a Seven-eleven before, this beats the Flips store by a longshot, also what the heck is with that very big elephant thing in your town?" asked Jo.
"That would be the Grimm Alpha Megoliath that Martin has helped from being the control from some evil witch lady, also Martin said the keystone worked and we have a plan for when we do go back to Mantle" replied Jordan.
"Good, when the time comes then we can free Mantle, stop the Grimm, secure the Relic, meet with Penny and who else gives a damn about General Ironwood. Even though he's just afraid" replied Lincoln.
"But there's one person who we're all concerned about the most, the guy whose still in the coma and in the Royal fortress med bay" said Linka.
They all recall. "Clover." All three kids still recall, that man is the leader of the Ace Operatives in Atlas and because of the fight between Qrow and Tyrian, he's now wounded and down. They don't even know when he'll even wake up, but they're hoping he would understand the situation at hand and not side with General Ironwood. When he does wake up., they must be ready for when he begins to attack.
Jo looks to all three of them, he understands when he shouldn't ask about what they do, but he does notice something as they go back to Dominic and the Vulture Bike. "That bus looks familiar."
They also see the purple bus and see it parked near Seven-Eleven. "Huh, what the heck is that thing? Looks like some kind of tour bus for someone" said Linka.
Jordan looks closely to the name. "Who the heck is Ernesto Estrella?"
Lincoln then recalls. "Ernesto Estrella? I recall Ronnie Anne and her cousins talking about that guy, he's some sort of superstitious weirdo who people believe in his fake predictions and junk and is the dork who is responsible for Rosa and her belief if all that luck and junk, and I thought LJ was the luck demented one, but when Rosa does her stupid rituals, she becomes worse than Lynn Jr."
Linka sighs. "Then what the heck is this faker maker doing here?" asked Linka. Then she recalls something. "Lincoln, earlier today. Didn't Ronnie Anne say she and her familia were waiting in line to meet this guy?"
Lincoln didn't like this, it was raising too many red flags. Then he gets a message. "Guys, it's from Ronnie Anne."
They all see the video message from her. "Ronnie Anne, what's going on there?"
Ronnie Anne: Guys, apparently Ernesto Estrella said he couldn't show up to Great Lakes City saying that the whole town has a curse and bad luck and junk. Abuela is making things hard for us and we can't leave the house and we tried to make a video to show her that Great Lakes is not bad luck or cursed.
Carl: Then Sergio ruined it and now abuela has lost her bonkers! You guys have to come down here and fast!
Carlota: She wants us to leave town so we can be safe! This is insane!
CJ: Our parents can't even reason with her, she won't listen to anyone and she's already packing!
Bobby: Guys, I called Lori and she is very, very angry and coming here to town and I think she's bringing someone with her too. Help.
Lincoln and the others are wide eyed. But Lincoln calms down. "Ronnie Anne, hang tight. We're on our way. Also, signal one of the forces nearby and then explain to them the issue and they'll make sure Rosa doesn't leave till we get there."
Ronnie Anne: We're on it!
They then hang up and look to the bus. "Time to make a fan made demand guys." He then looks to Jo. "You ready to see how we handle issues like this?"
Jo smiles. "Oh hell yeah." They then ready their hero gear and weapons and Jo blushes seeing Linka in her trench coat and gear. "Whoa. You look so cool, Linka."
Linka giggles. "Thanks." She then looks serious. "Alright guys, let's go and see whose fortune goes down in smokes."
The bathroom door to the bathroom is opened and they see inside is the man himself, Ernesto Estrella and he's speaking with his manager on the phone. "Look, tell them that it's another curse on their town or something. I can't go out there and sign books with this pimple on my forehead."
"Ernesto Estrella!"
The man turns around and sees the kids. "Oh, fans. Young fans!" He then covers his forehead. "Well, I think I can be able to…."
"Cut the crap you dipwad of a zodiac guessing dork. You're coming with us to fix one of your problems, because someone took the whole curse thing too far and is making it hard for the familia in another town" said Jordan.
Ernest is shocked. "Huh, did not see that coming." Then Dominic races in and pins the man and he screams. "Don't hurt me!"
Lincoln goes near him. "You're coming with us, and we're bringing in some backup."
(Great Lakes City.)
The apartment is now surrounded by Allied and Protoss forces and the Great Lakes City White Fang troops and Rosa is reasoning with them that they should leave.
"Listen to me, this town is cursed! I will not let me familia get hurt by somethin that Ernesto Estrella said is true!"
The protoss warrior is getting annoyed by this. "Rosa Casagrande, for the last time. There is no curse, you were listening to the lies of a human who has no motive to proving that there is any form of curse or hexes. Also, you're becoming delusional through this process of believing in the slightest of superstitions."
"No! You all have to listen to me, Ernesto Estrella is telling the truth! This city is cursed!"
Then lava bursts from the ground. "See! There's a volcano…." Lori emerges and she has her sister Lynn with her and she has her bat. "Oh, it's Lori. Wait, what are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here? What am I doing here?! What the hell is wrong with you?!" said Lori. She is pissed off and seething with so much rage.
Lynn grips her bat tightly and deep down, she's as pissed off as Lori.
"Babe! Help us!" said Bobby as he and the familia come out. "Abuela has lost her bonkers! I wanna be free to go where I want."
"Same!" said Carlota. "Because of her, we couldn't go to the mall or even go see our friends! It's December of goodness sake!" The camera crews are there and are live.
"We are not gonna be leaving this town or even end up getting stuck in the house!" said Ronnie Anne. She then looks to her mom and uncle. "Why aren't you two doing something?!"
But then a bus lands in front of them, it lands hood first then it falls and lands onto its wheels and Luna on her Frost Wyrm was the one carrying it, and with her are Lincoln, Linka, Jordan and Jo and they come down on the Vulture Bike and the Indoraptor.
Then Neil lands down fist first and his draconic wings activated and then they burn away and then Leon and Sergei's Tiger Tank arrives, then Martin arrives and with him is the Grimm Alpha Megoliath and then coming next in is Boomer in his Super Kirov Airship and he uses the grappling hook to come down with Katherine Mulligan and a camera guy.
Rosa looks around at what is happening. "Madre Mia. What is this?"
Someone steps out of the bus and is dizzy. "Oh wow. That's gonna hurt." They all see it was Ernesto Estrella.
"Ernesto Estrella?!" said Rosa in shock. "You're here!"
Hector grumbles. "Oh look, if it isn't the bobo. Hello bobo." But then he sees something. "What's that on his forehead?"
Ernesto sees the pimple is visible. "Oh, well hello Great Lakes…." Lynn throws her bat at him and he falls to the ground and the girl is on top of her.
"You got a lot of nerves to show up here and make this old hag believe in the stupid ways of luck and superstition! What the heck are you trying to do? Bring back the bad luck case from years ago? If so then I'm gonna show you how I swing!"
Neil grabs Lynn and drags her away. "Lynn, stand down. Let the others handle this."
Ernesto gets up and he sees Rosa who is confused and everyone else who is pissed off. "Tell her. Now!" said Jordan. Her Rose brood leviathan has arrived and with a flying force of Mutalisks.
Ernesto didn't have a choice. "Alright fine! There is no curse!"
"What?!" Rosa is shocked to her core. "B-But, I thought that…."
"I said those things because I couldn't come here because of this thing!" Ernesto shows the pimple. "I don't want my fans to see this, or the public."
"Sir, we are live" said Katherine Mulligan and the man sees all the camera crews and Jim Sparkletooth as well. "Everyone can see this, and heard everything."
Ernesto can see just how much trouble this has caused. "Oh umm, I swear I didn't think the old lady would take my beliefs and words seriously, I just do this to entertain folks and make them see me as a cool guy on TV. Umm, I must go!"
He throws a glitter bomb and hides in his clothing. "Dude that worked on TV, but not IRL" said Luna.
"Ernesto Estrella, we're taking you in for making all this madness and chaos unfold. If Rosa went through with what she did, then the family of the Santiagos and Casagrandes would've fallen down a dark road and torn itself apart and ultimately lead to a dark and criminalistics act, thank god they won't end up like the last incident." Neil looks to Lynn Jr who looks down in sadness.
"W-What?! No!" Ernesto is then hadn cuffed. "No! You'll hear from my agent!"
"You mean the agent who just bailed out on you." Linka is on her tablet. "Called him and he said he doesn't know you, which means he's out of the game and on the run. We have to find him."
"No wait! I didn't mean it!" The White Fang place Ernesto Estrella into the squad car and it drives off. They then look to Rosa.
"Oh my….. I'm sorry I didn't…." Rosa sees her familia with their things. "Where are you all going?"
"Mama, until you learn that all the superstition is wrong. We're going to stay with Arturo in the apartment he's staying in. We can't handle more of this madness with luck and superstition any longer" said Maria.
"Those cameras are live and at this point every college will see this and I'm gonna be in serious trouble for….. For not standing up to you, also I am not going back here until you get rid of those scented candles, I had to endure them and say they're fine, when really it hurts just smelling each one and I have to resort to my old inhaler" said Carlos.
Hector sighs. "Do what you have to do. Bobby, I'll see you tomorrow when we open the Mercado."
Bobby nods. "See you tomorrow Abuelo." they both hug each other.
Rosa then panics. "No! Please, I'm sorry. I will make it up to you!"
"Abuela, we'll be back on Sunday, when we see that you have changed. That you have strayed away from the path that Lynn once followed" said Ronnie Anne. "No offense dude."
Lynn smirks, "It's okay. I know my issues and mistakes and I do what I can to make sure I don't go back to them."
Sid goes to Ronnie Anne and they hug and share a small kiss. "Can I still come and visit you?"
Ronnie Anne nods. "Of course you nut, we're still together and separating us is not an option for everyone. See you at school tomorrow Sid."
The Santiagos and the Casagrandes head into their vehicles and they begin to drive off. "Wait!" Carlota opens the window. "You forgot this flying garbage bag!"
She throws the badly beaten and nearly defeathered Sergio and he lands onto the wall with his broken camera in his mouth.
"Rawrk… I just wanted….. An award."
Lynn grabs the parrot. "Then let me help you see stars!" She throws him in the air and when he comes back down, she hits the parrot so hard he gets home run shot to the widow of the Casagrande living room and he lands face first onto his suit case of things which are now ruined and the camera gives him a mild shock as it is damaged.
Lynn then walks away and leans onto the tank. "I'll go and talk to her" said Lincoln. He with Lori go to speak with the angry sports teen.
The two family cars drive off, to go and stay with Arturo for a while. They also bring Lalo with them, Hector is okay with this.
Rosa looks around and sees the people whispering and talking about Rosa and her beliefs being a danger. Even the neighbors are questioning this and now they see the Chang's talking about something in moving with Arturo Santiago.
The best customers of the Mercado, and the best friends they knew, and with those cameras, Rosa now sees she has a lot to make up for and a lot of folks ,might not trust her after what she intended to do.
Hector holds her hand. "Rosa, we have a lot to talk about. Let's go inside."
"Yes you do!" said Mr. Scully. He is pissed off. "And I'm talking with you as well."
Rosa can see she is in deep trouble and so she follows them back into the apartment.
Neil sees the crowd all disperse and continue to talk about what happened. Then Neil looks to the bus. "Someone toss this thing in the dump, or use it for target practice."
The Grimm alpha Megoliath picks it up and carries it away, while Martin contacts someone who could help secure Great Lakes City so it doesn't happen again.
Neil then sees Lynn with tears and she's hugging Lincoln and Lori and apologizing over and over. They do their best to comfort her, looks like the superstition thing has broken her down as well, and they thought Lincoln had it hard. Then Linka and Luna join in to comfort the crying sporty loud girl.
Neil sighs, and his brother's stand next to him. "Well, this turned out shit. I think I need to go to the other world of the Loudverse and see if they're gonna be facing the same thing."
"I think you should and glad we didn't bring Gyro with us into this. Who knows what he would've done" said Sergei.
"Wait what?" Boomer goes to them. "We're not calling him?" They see he finished the call.
This makes them wide eyed. "Oh shit."
(Somewhere down the road.)
The cop car carrying Ernesto stops by the police station. "Look, sir we can talk about…" The cop leaves and someone sits next to the man and has a raven staff.
"You know what I don't like Mr. Estrella?" the man lowers his good and he has feathers and glowing green and purple eyes and he looks pissed off. "I don't like it when my magic is treated like a parlor trick, I don't like con artists who think they can ruin people's lives for cash and what I don't like the most…..are people who turn luck and superstition into something that ruins the lives of many, mostly to families."
Ernesto tries to get out, but the doors are locked and when he looks to the man he's starting to morph into a raven beast. "So, let's talk about superstition. You ever heard of a raven demon?"
"What about hell?" in the driver's seat is Alastor the Radio demon.
The man screams in horror from these two beings. But then the screams are gone, and inside the Guardian, the Radio Demon and Ernesto Estrella have warpped away.
