To those who know this. Then you all know what this is about. This all takes place after the events of "Spell Luck" Where we now see how the lives of the former louds are, as they soon become something they did not expect to see coming, a hero group known as the Royal Defenders. 520. Chapter 520

Spells and Louds

Chapter 520: The Guardian's Explanation.

(Riyal Fortress.)

Martin goes down the halls of the base and he arrives to the main meeting room and he sees everyone has showed up.

Lincoln, Luna, Jordan, Linka, Sunset, Leni, Neil, Leon, Sergei, Gwen, Loona, Dana, Becky, Carol, Lori, Luan, Boomer, Victor, Jack Cyber, Tadashi, Timmy, Peter, Ember, Sam and Hollow. Pretty much, the Royal Defenders have been gathered.

"So, we're all here then" said Martin as he goes to his chair.

"Not exactly, the Guardian has yet to show up" said Leni. "Where is he anyway?"

"Who knows where that magic man is" said Leon. "He's gone for one week while we handle the planet of Galaluna and even did what we could to hold the line in this world and the rest."

"Ease now, I know some of us are still irritated by the long disappearance of Gyro, but he will tell us where he went and what he did. Chances he may have made new allies who would be useful in aiding the battle of Mantle and Salem" said Sergei.

"He's the one with the plan on what we have to do, but we have to be prepared in case the plan changes" said Lincoln. "We don't know what may have occurred with us not being there to help."

"Fair point, we need some backup plans to keep track of what could happen next" said Luna. "Salem is smart, and she may have what she wants with the Grimm army."

Lori looks to Martin. "Anything to report from the front lines in Mantle?"

Martin sighs. "We may have some complications, like when they needed to try and hack into Amity Coliseum which was not an easy task. Thank goodness Penny escaped before the Ace Operatives could take her."

"But even if they did try and take her, it would be pointless trying to hack her systems" said Victor. "Martin redesigned her internal processors with the mark of FutureTech, so no one can even hack or control her. Martin and Jack Cyber are the only ones who can operate and check her systems, plus she runs her own diagnostics when she needs to."

"And did we tell this to Mr. Polendina?" asked Gwen.

The FutureTech crew remain silent. "Oh dear, we never told him" said Jack Cyber.

"And a good reason too." They all look to Martin. "We cannot share the tech schematics on what we did to Penny when we rebuilt her. If he got knowledge of it, then someone will try and take him and that someone would be General James Ironwood. Through this, he'll even manage to obtain Intel of FutureTech weapons, designs and shut down our systems and therefore leaving us defenseless with no means of counterattack and possibly knowledge of out other allies, I have a plan for when this happens and that plan was not to fully share all we have known and built in the FutureTech Company."

"I will not hand over my tech to someone who acts like Rupert Thornley, not again!"

They all understand what he means, they let the enemy get their tech and the whole thing blows up into the end of their battle. Then Luan asks. "Wait, what if they got one of her blades? They hover and can be shut down right?"

Martin nods. "That part is true Luan Quinn, anyone can take one of her energy blades, but the issue is that they cannot hack the systems still. Everything about Penny is of FutureTech design, my design and mine alone. So, if General Ironwood does get some part of Penny, it's pointless and the blade will return to her after a few hours of being away and when it goes back to her it goes back with a bang."

"A self-destruct sequence to knock away the enemy so the blade can come back, nice" said Peter.

"Very nice indeed." They all see this yellow portal of fire open and walking through it are Gyro and Pyrrha. "Greetings my friends."

They all look towards him. "Good, you're here. Now we can get this meeting started" said Neil.

Pyrrha sits next to Sunset and they look to Gyro who creates an ethereal skull with his hands. "Fancy isn't it? Learned this from a new ally from across the stars" said Gyro.

"Which makes us ask, where the hell were you Gyro?" asked Neil. "You did tell us you went someplace, someplace to train and try to get stronger to face Salem again."

"You went off the radar man" said Victor. "We couldn't find your energy signature, you were gone like a submarine evades the sonar of a vessel of when a blackbird goes radar stealth on the skies."

Gyro then conjures a fire cobra and it slithers around his arm and they look to what he's doing. "And this place where you went is where you learned something new?" asked Timmy.

Gyro then makes the fire snake disappear. "Indeed. But truth be told, I was in that world once and I haven't been there in over a near two thousand years."

"And what is this world you went off to?" asked Sam.

Gyro then looks out the window. "I flew in my raven form through the dimensional rift and also through the Alterean rift to seek out the home of the Xel'Naga in Ulnar. To seek knowledge on how I can be able to take down Salem and possibly find those god brothers who made her who she is."

"But as I flew through the infinite stars, I stopped and sensed another form of energy, one of a temporal level and so I veered off course and went to where this source of magic was. But I went through a portal I have not been through for a long, long time."

"I had to warp like fifteen times to make it to the location and I found it. A realm that is also known as, the Void. This world is where I detected the energies of a titan, a titan I have recalled in tasking to ensure the timeline in that realm sticks. The dimension where the Titan of time, Kronika remains."

They all seem confused from this. "Who the hell is Kronika?" asked Boomer.

"A titan, and the mother to an elder god known as Cetrion" replied Gyro. "But then I found out that Kronika has been trying to converge a timeline that is just as controlling as tyranny and she has veered off the task I implored to her, and she turns the object she made into her own instrument for doomsday, the hourglass of time and space. She wants to make a new era and destroy the timeline of the worlds she has been tasked to look over, she wishes to end the one god who has been defying her timeline, Thunder God, Lord Raiden."

All of them are shocked. "Raiden? Like, Mortal Kombat Raiden?" asked Leni.

Gyro looks to them with shades, where the hell did he get those? And he removes them. "Yes, I have been and came back to the world, of Mortal Kombat."

Leon and Sergei yell. "Mortal Kombat!" Jack Cyber then plays the soundtrack from the film long ago. But they all look to them confused and stopped the music. "Sorry."

"Gyro, continue please" said Lincoln.

"Now, as I returned to the dimension of Mortal Kombat, I went to the void and there I found some folks trapped within the place. Fujin, Nightwolf, Rain and….. Shang Tsung."

"The sorcerer? Why would that bastard be there?" asked Sunset. "And with Nightwolf and Fujin, and also that demigod Rain?"

"Kronika went to them and offered them a place in her new world, but they refused, they did not wanna be part of her schemes or be pawns in her little new era" said Gyro. "So, they were sent to the void so they may be trapped within and do nothing but watch as the new era is made. But when I came, I told them I could help, and just as I was about to open a portal for us to leave….."

"Kronika died, didn't she?" asked Linka.

"Yes, yes she did, and in the hands of the Fire God Liu Kang and through her death, came an unforeseen and not to be expected outcome" said Gyro. "But when she died, the Void seal was broken and so Shang Tsung managed to open a portal to let us go to the location of the Hour Glass and there we confronted Fire God Liu Kang and Raiden… Just Raiden, he gave his god powers to Liu Kang."

"Raiden is a mortal now?" asked Lincoln.

"He is and he wished to help with Liu Kang in fixing what Kronika has damaged, as well as ensure that Shinook did not come back to bring ruin and death to all on all the realms. We reasoned with them and told them that when they shattered Kronika, her crown was also destroyed and without the crown they cannot rewrite history and so they had to believe us, even if Shang Tsung was there on our side as well."

Hollow smirks. "I could only guess Shang Tsung went against her because he didn't wanna be her pawn or puppet."

"Exactly" said Pyrrha. "From what Gyro told me, Shang Tsung's well of souls was not made for him. Kronika used him to make it for when she needs to make somethin of epic temporal proportions and the crown was made, from all the souls he has collected."

"But even so, we needed a plan to get the crown back to ensure that the timeline is fixed, to do so we had to go back in time and stop those from taking the crown of Kronika and bringing to to her. Which means we had to fight, Cetrion" replied Gyro.

"So, I summoned the allies I know who could help."

"And who were these allies of yours?" asked Luna.

Gyro smirks. "From an ancient time of old and through the three way war of the Koprulu sector, an old friend came to help me. Zeratul, the Dark Prelate."

"A being who was tasked to do what his creator made him to do, I vowed to show him what Skynet would do should John Connor die, so he came along to aid us. T-800, the Terminator."

"From the future, he was a cop and when he died he was rebuilt as a cop and so through this kind of criminal situation of dimensional and temporal proportions he would not wish to let crime continue. Robocop, the future of Law Enforcement."

"A creature who hunts his foes in his terms and would serve as one helluva hunter against anything that thinks could sneak up on him, so why hunt an alien when he can hunt a god. Predator, the master hunter."

"A soldier whose fought through so much shit and still had the guts, balls and the action packed face to fight even the strongest of gods, and so he wants one last fight. John Rambo, the one man Army."

"And last but not least, a being who was once human, only to be tainted as a spawn for the likes of Malebolgia. So he came and I promised him something as well, and so he aided us. Spawn."

They all remain silent, shocked at what they're all hearing. Then Gyro recalls. "I was thinking of bringing in the joker, but then I thought otherwise and decided not to."

"Wow! Talk about a heck of a gallery" said Boomer. "What the fuck did you guys do next?"

"Besides bringing forth some manly and over the top testosterone dudes into the fight" said Sam.

"Shang Tsung told Liu Kang that he can be able to send others through the past to get the crown and we make sure we give it to Raiden, but there would be an issue that Kronika would see it coming and stop him, so he sent all of us. Me, Fujin, Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, Rain, Rambo, Zeratul, Robocop, Terminator, Spawn and Predator to the past and we made it through the past timeline before she got to the crown."

But then they see his face not looking comfortable. "Let me guess, the plan worked but wrong location and time?" asked Hollow.

Gyro sighs. "Yeah, we arrived way after the merging of the timelines. We came during the time when Kitana and her armies fight Shao Khan and his goons and also free Kotal Khan, so we were running out of time and with the help from Predator and Terminators systems, we went through the fight undetected, but I have no fucking clue how the Kollector saw us and of course we had to fight him."

"The four armed devil was slain in the hands of Zeratul, he actually saw he wasn't as strong as a Hybrid and it was something we saw coming and we went on with the plan to get to the temple before Cetrion does and luckily, I had the power to stop her."

"Did Kronika knew you were coming?" asked Lori.

"Unfortunately, yes. She sensed my powers and magic and she feared it, she feared me and what I can do. Since I serve the Xel'Naga, she wanted to make sure I did not get my hands on the crown, or even stop her. She may have served me, but she fears me and she wishes for me not to get involved with her plans."

"We went to the temple, well the temple on the island of Shang Tsung's home and we had to fight off Kabal and Jade and an undead army of monks who once served Shang Tsung. I sent Fujin, Shang Tsung, Rambo, Robocop and Zeratul to get the crown, while the rest of us held off Cetrion and she did came, but a bit different and stronger."

"And it went well?" asked Ember.

"Sort of" said Gyro. "Zeratul told us they had to go and fight Noob Saibot and Jackson Briggs, the rest of us handled the enemy from above and it was a fight we did not expect, and we won. With ease."

"And what of those bellow to get the crown?" asked Martin.

"They got the crown and they also brought Jax and all thanks to Fujin and his convincing words that even a god like Fujin understands duty and loss, and during the fight we sent Cetrion back to a world of hurt, and back through Kronika. We used all powers we had to take her down. Blades, magic, fire, wind, grenades, plasma batteries, chains and arcane and it was awesome!"

"Then Geras showed up and we fought him too, but the win was Nightwolf that he sliced off the arms of Geras and with Fujin and Shang Tsung, they sent that immortal regenerating fucker to Chaosrealm, where Havik will keep him, entertained." Gyro chuckles.

"Afterwards, we met with young Jax and Jacqui Briggs and we needed to tell Raiden and the others and so we went to him and the others at the Fire Gardens of the Shirai Ryu. But we also met the younger version of Grand Master Hanzo Hasashi, also known as…."

"Scorpion!" said Peter. "God damn!"

"Indeed and so he told us that Kharon's fleet was waiting for us and so we believed him after Liu Kang reasoned with Raiden who nearly went pissed off and saw the many times he has fought Liu Kang and how horribly each and everyone went, so he gave me Shinook's amulet so he will not be consumed by its evil again."

We then spoke about the armies we are ready to muster and therefore we will be headed to the sea of blood, to the isle of Kronika and take down her citadel and stop her once and for all. Then, she came. She froze the others in time and spoke with me, Raiden, Fujin, Shang Tsung and Zeratul. We fought her, damaged her and sent her fleeing."

"Then we had to fight someone they sent to take the crime and that was Sindel alongside Nightwolf's revenant and it turned into one hell of a fight. Shang Tsung took damage from the revenant of Sindel and we had to fight them off, I was able to stop Nightwolf and used my powers to merge his soul with the Nightwolf we know and so now they share the same thoughts and the revenant is no more and sees his error and with the powers together, Nightwolf was stronger than before."

"As for Sindel, Shang Tsung consumed her soul to be healed and therefore he gained some of her powers and making him a true new ally, but as we prepared, I had to speak to him in private."

"And what did you two speak about?" asked Hollow.

"A reason for him not to betray us and so I spoke to him and he saw reason, and I also promised him something that could benefit him" said Gyro. "But we can get to that for next time. We had to make our move and we went to the sea of blood and a lot of the folks there had a hard time trying to not kill Shang Tsung, but I promised them that Shang Tsung would not come back to their world and be someplace else to do no harm, but one day come back to aid them should there be another threat."

"And the fleet moved in?" asked Timmy.

"We did and we were besieged against an army of cybernetic Lin Kuei and their mistress, Frost and so Robocop, and Terminator fought her and Terminator hacked the systems and the army was under his command, and we had a new army" said Gyro. "We all made it and we all fought together, all of us!"

"The armies of Earthrealm, Outworld and pretty much the best champions for the fight and for Rambo, the whole fight was one he'll remember and forever hold close to his awesome heart. Though, then came the part where Liu Kang's revenant fought Raiden and then came the power merging and so Fire God Liu Kang came to be and with the power of the crown, we stopped the madness before it even began."

"We breached the citadel and we stopped Kronika, but first we had to stop the Revenants and with my help, we restored, some of them. Kinda shocked Geras got away from Havik and so Shang Tsung had the idea of letting Geras sink forever in the sea of blood."

"We then combined our powers and strengths, we took down Kronika and we defeated her. We had to make sure the Hourglass remained safe and we had to ensure that no one could tamper with time again and so Shang Tsung came up with the idea, of merging the powers of the crown with Fire God Liu Kang."

"We combined our powers, shattered the crown and the powers merged into a time powered soul and into Fire God Liu Kang, and through this, all was restored and the timeline has been repaired, and so much who have fallen have been saved and everyone have their lives back, but when something comes back to harm the realms, then we'll all be prepared for a fight! But Liu Kang did help me accomplish what we promised to our allies."

"Nightwolf was sent back to his home, to continue in serving his people and keeping them safe. Rain, he wishes to follow Liu Kang and see the truth of his birth, but he did not like it and he did not like the man he called his father and so he left to go into hiding and meditate somewhere we have not known."

"Robocop was given a task force that could help him take down his enemies and this enemy was none other than the company that made him who he was."

"Spawn was given an amulet that could give him the strength of the Demon Hunters Illidari strength and so he used this to take down the very demons of hell and end their lies and evil."

"No clue what Predator wanted, but Zeratul said that all the Predator seeks is to go to a place where he can test his strength and his hunting skills to be the ultimate Predator and so he went with Baraka to learn how to be as lethal as them."

"Zeratul wishes nothing, all that mattered was that the timeline was restored, Rambo didn't want anything either. But, we did pay him and he was fine with that and he said he's done. That he' ready to go home and retire."

"Terminator was the one who took it last, and had it hard. We showed him the outcome of what happens when you kill John Connor and he did not like the outcomes, he kills John Conner and Skynet is destroyed and then a new enemy comes with another John Connor and so he asked for something else."

"The Terminator wants a world where humans and machines come together as one, living together and with unity. But, then he asked for one last request that he be sent to the sea of blood to sink forever. So that Skynet does not know about this. That machine, he's a god damn hero."

All of them smiled hearing this.

"Wow! One heck of an adventure, sure wish we got to that place and helped, but it seems like they wanted you to go and handle the issue" said Boomer.

"That fight sounded like one to remember and one to be part of" said Luan.

"The epicness of that, sounded like you guys really did one major game changer" said Sam.

"At least they're realms are safe" said Pyrrha. "Chances they'll help us when the time comes."

"And they will, soon, in time" said Gyro. He then summons a small fire snake and it slithers around his right arm. "When the time comes, then they will come and help us and we will face the odds, together."

Hollow smirks and he turns off his mask. "And I look forward to meeting them again, unlike those arcade versions we have met in Royal Woods. The ones you met, those guys are the real deal and they sound awesome!"

"At least some of them got the rewards they wanted, and damn shame I couldn't go and see the real Rambo. Unlike the one who keeps shooting at me" said Sergei. "Seriously, just because I'm Russian does not make me a bad guy."

Lincoln then looks to him. "What about Shang Tsung? What did he want? Where did he go? What did you promise him, guardian?"

Gyro smirks and looks to all of them. "That is a story, for next time my friends. Needless to say, Shang Tsung is on our side, and he is within our realms and my greatest ally and he taught me what he knew and now I have powers that could rival that, of Salem!"

Gyro's eyes glow green and red and he has fire on his hands and a green ethereal skull in his right hand. "The next time we fight Salem, she won't be able to get back up, or even face me again!"

They are amazed at what he has learned. "Well, looks like we have one heck of a game changer on our side" said Jack Cyber. "Just wait till Salem sees you and ready for a fight."

A/N: Well, now we know where Gyro went to for more than one week and let's just say sooner or later they will meet with one of Gyro's allies and perhaps he can help them, after all a sorcerer's help is never done. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
