Spells and Louds.
Chapter 523: Pets all together.
(Spellman Estate.)
As the snow falls onto the grounds of the home of the Spellman, the folks within are busy with making the whole estate look nice with the new Christmas Decorations they got since the previous ones are all worn out.
But amongst the family, the pets go around and do what they can to help out. The pets?
Courage, the cowardly dog. The Cat and Fox lovers, Victoria and Washington. The two kittens to the family Sam and Eugenie. The kits of the family Meadows and Suzie and the Kit-tten in the group, George.
The times have changed and have been quite good for the younglings of the home, who seem to be now in their teenage years, since human and animal years are not the same with each other.
The Kittens, kits and kit-ttens are now not that big from their parents and are capable of holding their own around the house with most heavy things and helping out when help is needed.
Washington and Victoria watch as their kids are going around and passing Christmas decorations to the Spellman family and right now Leni, Linka and Sunset are setting up the Christmas tree. "Thanks guys, you really are helpful" said Leni.
Suzie then grabs the small snowmen decorations and hands them to Sunset, then George helps bring the Christmas lights to Neil who is setting them up by the doorway. "Thanks little buddy, also be careful next time. This stuff is very delicate and chances you could get hurt."
As soon as the whole house looks nice, that's when the pink beagle of Linka walks in, Courage and he has a tray with cookies and biscuits and some nice warm hot chocolate.
"Alright gang, let's take a break and then we can get back to making this house look nice" said Gwen.
They all stop and grab some cookies and biscuits and they enjoy the food that Courage made, even the pets are given some biscuits of their own and some nice warm milk.
Lincoln and Luna open the door and walk into the house with some groceries and with them is Michelle Lewis. "Hey gang, we got those groceries and boy was it one heck of a line out there" said Michelle Lewis.
"The line to the supermarket in the mall reaches all the way to the frozen goods area, and even the senior's checkout and self-service checkout" said Lincoln.
"Well, Christmas is inbound and a lot of folks wanna be prepared to make the holidays all the merrier and jolly" replied Leni.
They soon finish with what they're eating and they go over and help them with the many grocery bags.
"Hey mom." Victoria looks to Suzie. "You think we can go to the woods later?"
Victoria sees her kids all looking towards her and she sighs. "Sorry guys. But, we can't still. Not without angering whatever is still in the woods and they still haven't found that giant floating ice-golem Pokémon or whatever they called it."
"That thing is still out there and is dangerous, we can't just go into the woods and interact with any of the ice-type Pokémon there. Sorry kids" replied Washington.
"It's alright mom and dad. We understand" replied Meadows. "But, can we at least go to the backyard and play there?"
Victoria smiles. "Sure kids, but after we help the rest of the family with everything else. There's so much to do and this is our first Christmas with them, and we have to treasure every moment with them."
They all nod, then Sam asks. "Mom, dad. What the heck is Christmas?"
The parents are shocked at this, they forgot to tell them what Christmas was all about. "I can handle this guys." They look to Courage and soon the pink beagle tells them all about Christmas and what it's all about and why they celebrate it.
From the story of Jesus Christ to the jolly man wearing red who comes down the chimney and the one thing that is important, family being there for each other.
As soon as Courage finishes talking, they see the rest of the family come back and they all get back to setting up the decorations for the house.
"Alright, so we got what we need for the upcoming family Christmas get together dinner and boy you guys literally got everything we need to make it possible. Nice" said Neil.
"We got what was on the list and made it happen, also where the heck is Sabrina anyway?" asked Luna.
"Not here" replied Timmy. "Aunt Sabrina went off to check on Aggie and her magic training, and she wants to take advantage of this weather and see if she can learn some ice or snow related magical spells."
They help setup all the Christmas lights and the decorations and soon they ready to place the star. "Okay, so the star is all that's needed for the tree and that's it. So, should Lily do this one?" asked Linka.
They all look to each other and nod. They then see Lily who's holding the star that looks like an angel, and Gwen carries her and then she goes to the Christmas tree and with the help from Neil as a boost of height, Lily places the star onto the top of the tree.
They then get down and stand back. "Let's see this thing shine on Christmas" said Duchess. She grabs the two cords and plugs them in and the whole thing lights up and they all look in awe at the amazing lights of the tree and how they shine and sparkle.
The pets all smile and make common happy animal noises seeing this marvelous sight. This was something they look forward to, their very first Christmas with the family, though this is Courage's second Christmas with them.
Then Lincoln recalls something. "When are we going to the park to see the large tree that Mayor Davis is gonna reveal?"
(Outside.)
As all the pets are enjoying their time outside. Washington and Victoria sit and watch as their kids are running around and playing.
Then Victoria looks to her fox mates. "Wash, this is our first Christmas without….. Them."
Washington knows who she means, the rest of the family they once had. The original Suzie, Sam, Eugenie including the Livingstone's.
"Yeah I know, things have changed and everything is gonna be so different and we're gonna be closing into the one year anniversary of meeting with the Spellman's. I don't even recall the last Christmas I had with them."
Victoria sighs. "It was in 2018, before you went into the coma. The bets Christmas we all had together, me as the common house cat who had issues with you and the others and then there was you and the gang, disguised as common house pets to live a better life."
"To be honest, I liked it when we had that kind of life, I liked the crazy antics you guys came up with to stay in the house and get curious at everything that seems new, and especially with you saying how smart you are and that you know what to do. That was pure entertainment to me."
Washington chuckles. "Yeah, I guess I was the light to your darkness to the boring lifestyle of the common house tabby."
Victoria giggles. "Yeah, all just doing nothing but laze around and sleep wherever I wanted, eat all the good and fresh fish and cat food and ignore the neighbor cats who I don't wanna be part of. Those days, were nice, but the best days were when I met you, Sam, Eugenie and Suzie."
They both recall the other pets/wild animals who were with them, the boar Sam and his little sister Eugenie and the black bird Suzie.
"You think everything would've been different if I wasn't in that coma?" asked Washington. "Like, what if I wasn't in that coma?"
"Then they would've been still alive, and same with meadows and then we wouldn't have found out that we both had a thing for each other and we never would've had the life we have now, with the kids we had together" said Victoria.
"Yeah, they're gone and through that was a new life for us" said Washington. "Sure is a shame that they won't be here to be part of this, or even enjoy this new life. The Spellman's would've been okay with them in the house."
Victoria snickers. "You do realize that with Sam, he gets hungry and he pooped quite a lot and took in the litter box the most."
"Yeah, that one would've been hard for the family to handle and boy did it stink" said Washington. They both chuckle and then they spot some of the family Pokémon coming out and playing with their kids.
Arcanine, Swanna and Sylveon. They all come out to enjoy the snow with the younger pets.
"Do you think the pets we knew and recalled are doing fine?" asked Victoria.
"Not really, heck I don't care how that bear, Mitch is doing either, but I do miss the Raccoon gang. Those guys, they helped us escape and we owe them so much for what they did" said Washington.
They then spot some smaller Pokémon join in the fun and play with their kids. From Snorunt, Seedot, Piplup, Froakie and some Froslass.
Washington then recalls something. "Quick question, if that weird floating ice-golem Pokémon is out there, how come that god Pokémon I heard about isn't doing anything to make it go back? Isn't that ice-golem supposed to be back in its world and keeping things safe?"
Victoria even thinks about this. "Maybe they'll ask the guardian guy to figure that one out. Also, we should be prepared for when the family get together for this year, the pets from the louds are also gonna be part of it too."
"And let's not forget Ajax and the dinosaur" said Washington. "I really like the White German Austrian Sheppard, he's nice."
Victor chuckles. "Better than the dog crew you once hang out with."
Washington looks towards her. "First of all, they hung out with me because I looked like a dog, second I wanted to hang out with them because they wanted a friend and to teach me their ways, and at first I thought they were the right crew, then I just saw how uncool they were."
"Glad that was over before you became one of them" said Victoria. She then has an idea, and she pushes Washington into the snow and races off.
Washington gets up and smiles at his feline mate who is running. "Oh it is on!" He goes after her and a small snowball fight has started, and all the pets and Pokémon have fun together.
Soon Courage comes out and he joins in, followed by the rest of the Pokémon.
While the family watches from the window and smiles. "This is the first Christmas with them, for Washington, Victoria and their kids" said Gwen.
"Not for Courage though, he celebrated this holiday with us last year" replied Linka.
Lily claps and wants to join in as well, so Linka picks up her baby sister and they go out of the house. "Come on Lily, let's go and play."
Lincoln and Timmy also join in the fun.
Then Neil recalls. "Some pets that were taken away from that rich snobby pet neighborhood in San Francisco have been reported missing from the animal shelters."
They all look to him. "When did this happen?" asked Sunset.
"Yesterday" replied Neil. "They didn't confirm it till they knew it was true, then the animal control crew contacted the allied outpost there and then reported back to me. Right now, Leon and Sergei are helping track them down."
"No way those pets can come here, they're too pampered to go into the wilds" said Luna. "Even if it is revenge for what happened to their homes and owners, they did this to themselves for not respecting all forms of animals to be pets."
"They do show up, then it's gonna be one heck of a fight" said Duchess. "We cannot let them get to Washington, Victoria and their kids."
They all look to the pets playing in the snow. "Then we keep them safe and keep an eye on whatever comes to Royal Woods" said Gwen. "They mess with our family, they pick a fight with all of us."
That's one thing they now have to be cautious about, what comes for next year.
(Night time.)
As night falls, everyone is fast asleep in their rooms and beds. Gwen has finished putting Lily to sleep on her bed, which she wanted since she's growing up, she sees Gothitelle is fast asleep in her bed, she wants to keep an eye on Lily and so she wants to be her roommate. They placed her crib in the attic.
Neil is waiting for Gwen on the bed and reading a book on the war stories of Sergei, which isn't much of a book to read, since he didn't last long in World War 2.
Timmy is fast asleep and so is Poof and both of them had finished watching something on the tablet, and the one to help them back to their beds is Michelle and she too walks out of the room and goes to her room to get some shut eye.
Lincoln and Linka are both fast asleep on their own beds in the room they share, though Lincoln is sleeping on the wrong side with Absol close by and Linka is lying onto Arcanine's fur and is drooling, and also hugging onto Courage who is wearing a sleeping mask and hugging a plush panda.
Leni is fast asleep in her bed with her sleeping mask on, and Luna was busy with a song for the upcoming Spring Music Festival and she's fast asleep on her beanbag chair. Loudred and Roserade are asleep on the bed that they share.
Sunset turns off her computer and she goes to bed and smiles seeing her roommate Duchess fast asleep on her bed with Swanna. Sunset then gets under her blanket and she hugs her sleeping Sylveon.
Washington, Victoria and they're kids are asleep in the living room. Washington tucks them in with a blanket and with Victoria watching.
"Mom, dad." They look to Eugenie. "Can you tell us a story?"
The fox and cat couple smile. "Sure thing kids." They then tell them the story of a brave fox and his friends and with a cat sorceress by their side who helps them go through an amazing journey, to find their true family.
Unknown to them, the spirits of some former animals watch from the window outside as the snow falls.
The spirits of Sam, Eugenie, Suzie and Meadows and all of them smile, they were happy for Washington and Victoria and the life they have now, and even though they cannot join them, at least they're happy for their still living animal friends.
They then fade into blue mists and into the light of the moon.
