Chapter 527: A Merry day and a merry message.
(December 25. The Loud House.)
The day has come, and everyone is awake and opening what they all got from their secret Santa's. Enjoying the amazing gifts they have got and are downright happy that this day of merriness has come at last, but that's not all though.
They even got some gifts to their Pokémon as well, to show how much they mean to them to be in this family.
Lynn Jr plays with Tyrogue and the new football goal she got from Coop, and Tyrogue is wearing the football jersey of the Royal Woods Rooster's Lynn gave him.
Luna is happy with the decorative tablet and cellphone casing she got from Luna, and the flame patterns even move, while her Volcarona is enjoying her neck pillow which means she won't have trouble flying while asleep. Wait, they do that?
Luan and Mr. Mime chuckle at the gifts they got, Mr. Mime is enjoying the clown horn and red nose, while Luan has special funny glasses that shoot water from the nose and can deploy streamers from the eyes. Looks like Jordan knew what she would want.
Lola is adoring her bedazzling diamond necklace she got from Adagio, and she gave her Jinx a lovely pearl necklace that sparkles and shines. Selfie time!
Lucy smiles at the preserved remains of a poisonous wonderlandian spider in the jar that came from Duchess. She got that for her?! Oh good lord! Crobat enjoys the skull shaped ear buds and shades, he has eye problems when the sun comes up, and wishes to sleep without hearing everything.
Lana and Toxicroak are having fun with what they have. Lana got a large Lego Jurassic Park play set from Sam and Toxicroak puts on the red frog hat on his head that he got from Lana, and this is a hat he made with her own hands, she had to get some lessons from Leni for that one.
Lisa is amazed that Timmy got her two sets of little genius's chemistry, this might not be what she would wish for to return to her research in science, but it's a good start and this time she will be careful when doing this stuff.
Rita and Lynn Sr smile seeing this. "Sure is nice of the kids to enjoy what the others got them and I am loving the awesome frying pan Sergei got me!" said Lynn Sr.
"Same with me, though this new hair dryer and the relaxing chair will do me wonders" said Rita as she looks to her two gifts, and yes she sits onto the chair and sets it to relaxation mode and arms give her a massage on the shoulders. "Oh yeah, I needed this."
Lynn Jr smiles. "Sure feels nice to be celebrating this moment again, even if the others aren't with us."
They all agree on that one. "Even if we aren't the big family we once were, sure is nice to be together and knowing we're always having each other's back, through and through" said Lana, she then plays alongside Walt's, Geo, Cliff and Charles. Fangs and Hops also join in this playtime.
"Even if two others aren't of the same blood as we are, what matters is that we'll always be family" said Luan.
"Literally true" said Lori. "Our future is darn right bright and we're all looking forward to it."
"That is if father can stop crying and begging us not to leave when the time comes" said Lisa. They all laugh a bit from that one.
Lynn Sr sighs. "Yeah, that is the one thing I need to try and get over. But in the end, I'll be proud of the future you guys plan to make and look forward to."
They all continue to enjoy what they were given and they do hope the others enjoy what their getting.
Lori then wonders. "I think I should text Carol and see how she's doing at FutureTech, on the Royal Fortress."
Lynn then thinks to herself. 'Maybe soon, Lincoln and Luna will go and check on their other versions, maybe then they can tell me how they've been doing lately.'
Rita and Lynn Sr begin to remove some of the decorations, but then the twins go to them. "What is it kids?" asked Lynn Sr.
"Mom, dad. Lola and I have been thinking and we have a plan for our birthday" said Lana.
"We wanna make sure it's not gonna be on the day of New Year's and we know when we wanna celebrate it" said Lola.
They're all shocked to hear this, but they are happy that Lola and Lana are teaming up with an idea for their 8th Birthday party, and they listen in. Spoiler alert: December 30, for the party!
(Royal Fortress.)
Martin, Victor and with them are the Miller family with Becky and Carol with the Pingrey family and all are enjoying a nice Christmas morning breakfast alongside the gifts they have exchanged to each other.
They even have Gyro, Pyrrha, Smaug and Bill Cipher to also enjoy this moment of Christmas morning with them. No they did not bring Mina Loveberry, she's busy with her work in Karazhan.
As they all enjoy and talk about all the fun things they had last night at the Royal Fortress, GLADIS appears. "Martin, an incoming transmission, from the Black Tortoise war platform in Mantle."
Martin sighs. "GLADIS, this is a Christmas morning. I don't have time for military and war mode reports."
"I think you will all like this one." She then deploys a holographic screen and they see it's a message from someone he knows and misses.
"Hello, is this thing working? Okay, thanks." It's Penny. Martin is wide eyed and so are the others. Carol begins to record this and makes it love so the rest of the Royal Defenders can see this.
"Salutations to all, and I know this seems like a late entry and I hope it's not. I know things have changed and I haven't been around because I'm back here, in Mantle and I have a job to do as the Winter Maiden, but it doesn't mean I won't greet my fellow comrades a Merry Christmas, we might not be close to each other to celebrate and be happy to be a family, but I think my family would like to say something. Come on guys!"
They then see that one by one, each of the folks they have met on Mantle and Atlas, mostly the main characters and supporting characters we know have are all sending a message to them.
Qrow: Truth be told, I don't know what else to say but….. Thanks, I don't say this much to folks I don't know, but after what you guys pulled through in Mantle weeks ago, was much appreciated and I hope Clover is doing fine.
Robyn: I can't say that what happened weeks ago was normal, I was told about the relics, Salem and everything, but when you guys showed up….. That was something I still couldn't figure out, but still, what you guys did was much appreciated and like Qrow, I hope Clover is fine.
The people of Mantle thank you all, and I hope some of our citizens are enjoying their lives there in your world.
Pietro Polendina: Martin, I wish we spoke more, but I just wanna say thank you for doing so much to my little girl and bringing her back. I wish we were fast enough to save her when Beacon fell, but I am proud and grateful at the modifications you have given her and to the heroes who helped as well, to make her feel like she has a family.
She's told us all about the nice life she's had, and even her school time with all of you. Something I wish I could've given her, thank you Martin for being a father to her, just as I was.
Oscar Pines: I wish Ozpin was here to speak, but he's not available. But, I'll just say….. Thank you for coming to our aid and helping save our home, no our world from the threat looming overhead and if we all meet again, I hope we can face her together and save all of Mantle and Atlas, and all of Remnant. Thank you for coming here weeks ago, all the help was much appreciated.
Lie Ren: We never expected any help from you guys since Haven, and we still have so much work to do. But I would like to say, that it was an honor to have fought with the defenders and trying our hardest to save Mantle. May we fight side-by-side again, soon.
Then Nora pushes him out of the way.
Nora: After what you all showed us, we are dang pumped up for more to come and I wanna see if we can combo what we all got to go and beat down some Grimm! Also, thanks for coming to help us, we really needed it.
Jaune: Nora's right, after what General Ironwood has declared, the help could not have gotten sooner. If you all had never showed up, then we don't know what could've happened, and I know Pyrrha would've been grateful for the help, if she were here. So, I am grateful that there are other heroes, in other worlds who truly wish to stop evil and save those who need it the most.
Yang: We kicked butt out there when you guys showed up, and really did give us the morality and support when we felt like we couldn't be able to withstand the enemy head on. But with Salem coming, I don't think we have any doubts. I think we can win this, and we have you guys to thank for the assist.
Hope to see you guys back soon, and thanks for bringing back Penny too, Ruby really missed her.
Blake: I never thought we would meet you all again, but we did and the one thing I am still grateful for from all of you, was when Haven was fought for and Adam's White Fang dismantled. You all came and helped us that day, and from what I heard here from the Faunus guards, your world sounds so much nicer than the equality I hoped from Remnant. I would like to come and see how humans and Faunus are living in Royal Woods, but we have a job to do.
But when we do come and meet again, I'd like to see this place of true equality and honor. Thank you, thank you all for this and if Sienna is hearing this, then I am happy she found a home, for herself and our Faunus brothers and sisters.
Weiss: I just….. Wow. You guys came out of nowhere and surely my father did not see that coming, and he's somewhere in Atlas enjoying his cell stay. Thanks, I mean i am happy for what you guys have done and giving us what we need for the fight and helping others still in the city, we really appreciate all you are giving to the front line.
Mantle will be saved, that I know and I hope we can make Mantle and Atlas more unified than it was being independent from each other, and right now, we could use some unification after everything that has happened. Hope to see you all soon, and also get to see the world you guys are in.
Ruby: Well, I never have spoken to any of you guys, but I did fight alongside two guys in a tank. But, I wanna thank you guys for bringing back a friend who….. Who I thought would never come back, you guys did it and brought Penny Polendina back to us. That is by far, something I am truly grateful for, even when I thought she would just be a memory.
But most of all, what made me feel greatful was the way you guys came and not just saved Clover, but scared off and damaged Tyrian Callows, halted Ironwood and Atlas from leaving, secured and saved many of the citizens on Mantle and providing us with all the help we need. Thank you, all of you.
I do hope we can meet again and then we can push back Salem, we might not defeat her, but we can slow her down and then save all of Remnant.
Penny: That's all of my friends who all wish to say what they wanna say. Maria and Hound would've wanted to say something, but right now Maria is enjoying the mech suit to help others and Hound is in the city of Mantle with some troops fighting off Grimm and looking for any survivors.
Thanks guys, for helping me get back home and soon we will come back together and fight as a team, as Royal Defenders.
So, from my friends and myself here, we all have one thing to say to you all…..
Everyone: Merry Christmas and Thank you!
Penny: Till we meet again, my friends.
The transmission ends and Martin is in tears, Becky goes over to comfort him and the Grimm Alpha Megoliath as well.
Everyone else is happy that message came, because it truly did make one heck of a good and joyful Christmas morning.
Victor then looks to Carol. "Did the others see it?"
Carol smiles. "They did, and I know they're all happy with that message and we all miss Penny." She then hugs her Sirfetch'd. Loni also sheds some tears and his Dartrix goes over and hugs him.
Victor wipes away some tears, and he looks to the sky with the snow falling slowly. 'Soon, soon we will go back to Remnant and bring the battle to Salem.'
Gyro goes over and he places a hand on Pyrrha who has tears. She then hugs him and he hugs her back. They are both happy that Penny had the time to do this, and are happy that everyone else there are thankful for what they have done and all they have fought for.
(Spellman Estate.)
Everyone there has tears and have opened the gifts they all got from those they exchanged with. They then look towards Lincoln and Linka who smile.
"Guys, we'll be back there soon and we will help the huntsmen and huntresses" said Lincoln. "And Salem won't be able to get what she seeks."
"We have the plan made and set, and same goes with the backup plan" said Linka. "We all have each other's backs and soon we will have the backs of those on Mantle and Remnant as well."
With those words being said, they all have the fiery spirit to fight on, should they come back to Mantle to help, and with that message from Penny, it was enough for them to truly show that the world of Remnant, is worth fighting for!
Neil then thinks to himself. 'I wonder how Hollow is doing at Wander's Bachelor party. Also, why the heck weren't some of us invited?'
(Somewhere at another dimension.)
At the Yonder Galaxy, where Wander over Yonder began.
At a planet filled with so many plantlike and happy rubber-like folks, Wander and some of his guy pals are helping plant new flowers and other flora all over the place.
We have Wander of course, who is dang happy he's gonna get married tomorrow and with him are his pals, from the dragon king, all the way to Dr. Screwball jones? Wait what?
Hollow is also there and he's using the force to help makes holes and place down the new flowers, he seems okay with this but inside his thoughts. 'What have I joined?' This is a bachelor party? This? This is a Wander Bachelor party? To Wander, yes it is.
Hollow sighs. 'Dominator must be having a blast at her bachelor party.'
(Skriplon 10.)
At the city in this planet in the same galaxy, Lord Dominator is rocking with the outfit she wore when she went for a night out and she with some ladies she know are having one heck of a bar fight.
Sylvia grabs Dominator from being hit. "Thanks Syl!"
"No problem! This is the best fun I've had in years!" said Sylvia. "Even my ma is enjoying this!"
Yeah, Sylvia's mom is there and beating the living crud out of some aliens.
"So, after this you gals wanna go and mess up Emperor Awesome's Limo?" asked Lord Dominator.
"Heck yeah!"
They are having a blast alright.

A/N: A message, from a distant Defender and we're hoping that soon they will go back and help them fight Salem and save all of Mantle and also Atlas. This isn't the Christmas chapter most of you expected, but this is a good one for sure. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
