Chapter 541: Training with Clover.
( January 9, Royal Fortress.)
Somewhere near the coast of Pearl Harbor, is where the Royal Fortress stands, and this mighty war platform is refueling the Allied Shipyards and the vessels there.
The Great Gate located onto the Royal Fortress glows and coming out are all members of the Royal Defenders. Neil, Gwen, Lincoln, Linka, Jordan, Dominic, Luna, Sam, Leni, Lori, Carol, Dana, Becky, Peter, Ember, Boomer, Leon, Sergei, Loona and Duchess.
They then see the FutureTech crew waiting for them. Martin, Victor, Jack Cyber and Tadashi. Yeah, he showed up there to see what they all are gonna do.
"Well, looks like we're all here. Let's go and start the training sessions with the guy who could be more combat experienced than any of us" said Lincoln.
Leon and Sergei are confused and look to each other and then Leon whispers to Sergei. " Did they forget that we're both from Word War 2 and have combat experience?"
Sergei sighs. " Brother, the best way to fight off an enemy from another world is to most likely learn how they combat, and I don't think we have the experience to literally fight an army of Grimm."
"Glad you all showed up, now we can get this training sessions in motion" said Victor.
"I'm here to train too, and maybe even see if Clover is as good as he says, and if he is good, then maybe he can help train Big Hero 7 as well" said Tadashi.
Boomer then asks. "Wait, I thought they were Big Hero 8? Doesn't Minimax count?"
"Dudes, let's not lose focus and stray away, now where is the dude at?" asked Luna.
Then someone walks out of the main doors, the man who is gonna train them how to fight as he did. Clover Elbi, the former leader of the Ace Ops and a former associate and loyal operative to General James Ironwood.
The outfit he wears is the same that he wore when he led the Ace Ops group. But, it has colors changed. From red to orange and the blue areas are light blue, and there is an eagle logo on the back. He also has a badge of the Allied Nations eagle that is holding a four leaf clover.
In his hands is the weapon he knows how to use, Kingfisher, but with some modifications. The looks are the same, but the mechanics are far more subtle.
"Whoa. Looking good there Clover, totes like the uniform, it matches with the style you have" said Leni.
Clover smirks. "Thanks Leni Ivy, I was impressed at this outfit as well, and the symbols they show to prove that I am fighting with you guys, but what interested me more was this girl still with me." He extends his weapon and they see the fishing rod.
"I can only guess you have been training lately" said Gwen.
Clover chuckles. "That I did, and I still got it and this little lady here." He looks to Kingfisher. "Her modifications are something I did not see coming. Chances you guys will see her in action, one day. But right now, we got some training to do, come on guys."
They all follow Clover with the rest of the FutureTech guys through the halls and GLADIS appears. " Good to see all of you, the training room has been prepared and ready, and the systems might be something of familiarity to Clover during his time in Atlas. "
Clover smiles. "She's not wrong. I didn't think this place had systems closely related to Atlas and their tech."
Martin chuckles. "Meh, they could do better. But, I am impressed by their other creations, the only issue is on keeping the control of their tech in line, and I do love the sight of Amity Tower."
They all wanna talk to Clover on how he feels about the whole issue with Amity tower, but they decide not to.
They all see the large doorway and as it opens they see the large white training room. "Looks as the same as we know and have trained in" said Sam as she walks in with the others. "What's the major thing that makes it feel like Atlas anyway?"
Clover goes to the wall. "This." He presses his hand and the whole place changes into the training room which we have all seen when teams RWBY, JNR and Oscar have been through.
"Truth be told none of us have even seen the insides of Atlas, so we don't know much" said Leon.
"Still this looks awesome!" said Sergei. "Dang. I could really do some heavy duty training here." Sergei tosses his anchor and he grabs onto one of the large columns and he pulls himself to it and stands atop. "Woohoo!"
They all look at how amazing this training place is. Clover then has an idea. "Before we do some training with me, why don't the rest of you guys go ahead and try out the place."
They all look to each other and smile. "Dominic, let's ride!" Jordan gets on her Indoraptor and he roars and they race across the room and leap from the columns.
Luna and Dana make some ice pathways and slide across the place. Leni makes some vines come out of the ground so Carol, Linka, Neil, Leon and Gwen can run, dodge and maneuver through the obstacles. Leni then summons some vines and she stands on them and rides around the room.
Lori makes some lava columns, that Ember and Peter leap onto and then they blast each one, then Lori makes a lava wave to ride on and catches up with Luna and Dana.
Becky turns into a ball of green fire and she flies around the place. Boomer summons his scythe and he scales the columns and he leaps onto each one, but then he's hit by an ice wave and is frozen. "What the hell?!"
Carol then lands in front of Duchess, and both duel onto one of the platforms. As it turns out, Carol's rifle can modify into a cutlass, they reverse engineered this technique from the huntress weaponry from Remnant.
Lincoln has an idea, he throws Mjolnir and it hits the wall, he closes his eyes and he turns to static electricity and he warps to where his hammer is. "Yes! Nailed it!" But then he sees he's in the air and falls. "Dang it!"
Sam then grabs him. "Gotcha! Careful there Linc." She then dashes away like electricity and Lincoln makes shoots at Sergei who's now dodging his icicle rounds.
Clover smirks at all of them enjoyin this, and he looks to Martin, Victor, Jack Cyber and Tadashi. "They sure are a wild bunch, huh?"
"They like to give it a try, and see what this place can do and we already had our fun here and we also trained with you" replied Victor.
"Not me, I look forward to training with Clover" replied Tadashi. "Also, I think I should try this place out." He leaps into the area and he leaps from the walls and columns and dodges the vines from Leni and races next to Dominic.
"Well, someone is having some fun" said Jack Cyber. "And glad they're here to see this." They all look to the large glass window from the wall above them, and see Gyro and Shang Tsung watching them train. They can't hear them, but they can see them.
Clover then has an idea. "You know, we should make the training begin, now!" He uses his weapon as a grappling hook and he grabs onto the lava column and he swings around the place and he kicks his way through them.
Luna and Dana move out of the way and go after him, but he does kick Peter in the face and he falls and lands onto Boomer, who just got freed from the ice. "Ow."
Clover then lands onto Dominic and then he leaps off and he swings around using Kingfisher and he dodges Lincoln's icicle shots and then lands in front of Duchess and Carol. "Alright Defenders, let the training begin and just so you guys should recall, my semblance is good fortune."
He pushes the button on Kingfisher and the weapon turns into a rapier. "So, I'll go easy on ya."
Duchess smirks and she goes into a stance similar to what Weiss would do. "We don't intend for you to go easy on us." Carol also gets into combat stance.
Clover smirks. "Then let's do this everyone." He then charges forward and he clashes his weapon against Carol and Duchess. But he manages to overpower them and he knocks Carol onto Duchess and both fall to the ground.
Ember comes in and uses her guitar as a weapon, then she's joined by Linka who has her crossbow turned into a Bo staff and then there's Leon with dual machetes.
Clover smirks. "This should be interesting." They then commence the rest of the training.
He dodges from the attacks from Ember and she ends up hitting Leon, then Clover counters Linka and her staff hits Leon in the face and he falls off. "Oh god!" He then lands onto Neil.
Clover then grabs Linka's staff and it ends up knocking away Ember and then he uses her staff on Linka and she's knocked away as well.
Clover stands tall and looks to Luna, Lincoln, Sam and Peter who land around him and this makes Clover smile. "Alright, let's make this happen guys."
They then begin to clash against Clover, and he is pretty impressive, that or because his semblance is helping him out maneuver each member of the Royal Defenders, then the FutureTech team goes in to fight as well.
Gyro and Shang Tsung just watch this happen. "Well, he does show a lot to promise, with his skills he could train the Defenders to fight stronger and face any odds, such as Salem and her forces" replied Shang Tsung.
"We can technically take on Salem and her forces, but Salem is the one who is hard to counter, and only the powers from both of us could keep her occupied, and possibly hurt her" replied Gyro. "But the training these guys are taking, could be far useful for future missions."
"And future threats, such as the ones that the Xel'Naga spoke of" replied Shang Tsung.
"How can I not forget?" said Gyro. "The fate of this multiverse hangs in the balance, and if this threat comes and faces us, we'd be looking at an epic and very long dimensional war, which could end all things living."
"Do you think the threat are servants of the fallen dark god?" asked Shang Tsung.
Gyro thinks about this. "Not possible, the Xel'Naga do not possess the keystone, and I left behind a very powerful seal at the Void. A seal that cannot be broken, unless I am to shut it down. Amon cannot return and he will not return. But this coming darkness, or threat might be the ones who could spark a new conflict."
"And do you have a backup plan for when they do arrive?" asked Shang Tsung.
"Yes, I do. A powerful relic, lost within the tower of Karazhan, and I don't mean the sword. I'm talking about another one, and it is so intense, that the power is enough to destroy a single realm or multiverse and now we know the reason why it was sent away and lost within the tower" replied Gyro.
Shang Tsung sighs. "Deadly weapons were meant to be locked and lost for a reason, Guardian. But it would take someone with skill and knowledge to be worthy to find it, and have you found any luck on where it could be?"
"No." Gyro looks to the heroes training. "But I know who can find this deadly weapon."
They both look to Lincoln and Luna, both of them tag teaming and countering Clover. Lincoln then has his Shredder gauntlet claws and he charges into the fight, alongside Luna who summons an ice hammer.
"The new Guardian. No that does make sense" said Shang Tsung. "Only a being who is new and ready to seek the purpose to save the realms could find the weapon, that would mean they are inbound to the path in saving all the worlds and ending the new threat before it can even come here."
"I haven't told them, yet" replied Gyro. "But when this threat does come, from wherever they lurk and stand, then the weapon will be revealed and the Reforger guardian will sense it, and therefore lead us to use this as an Atomic bomb based threat, like when they bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima."
Shang Tsung nods. "A dangerous risk, but all too necessary. Do you think the enemy is not the future children of Wander and Lord Dominator?"
Gyro thinks about this. "No, the future is blurred with those two, but I fear something will come from their family, and will be a new villain in the making, and should it come, then it will be a challenge, but soon to be an ally."
Shang Tsung smirks. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That makes more sense, we would need all front line allies to aid us in that soon to come battle, and I hope I can still be around to see it."
"Yeah, I hope for that too" replied Gyro. Then Boomer hits the glass and slides down and falls back to the training room. "I did not see that shit coming."
"Clover truly is a formidable trainer, he will be quite the mentor even for future heroes" said Shang Tsung. "Reminds me of my realm already."
Back with the others; some of them are a bit exhausted, but Lincoln and Luna stand tall and both don't use their weapons, but instead their sticking to melee combat, and Clover sees this.
"Alright then, let's do this." Clover puts Kingfisher away and enters a combat stance. "Come at me kids."
Luna and Lincoln look to each other and nod, they both engage Clover and start with hand-to-hand combat. This is just the beginning of their training with Clover Elbi, for whatever is to come.

A/N: Day 1 of training, and a lot more to come. This is necessary for when they have to go back to Remnant but the training could also be useful for incoming missions and threats across the stars and whatever new threat will spark a deadly war that could mean the end of all things. What is this new threat? No clue. Could be something from beyond to another dimension, or something that has been bugging me for quite some time and hasn't fucking left me be with my own stories because I really question why the even read my stories. Who knows right?
