Chapter 542: Clover in town.
( Great Lake City.)
A dropship arrives towards the city, the whole place has no more snow and the sun has made it sunny, but with slight chill in the air. So, it's kinda humid.
A lot of good folks are walking around the city doing their own business, from the common human populace to the Faunus who live there and some friendly Protoss also residing there.
But the new commoners there to have resided in Great Lakes for over a month now, are the humans and Faunus from Mantle. After the fall of Mantle, they were evacuated onto one of the Black Tortoise platforms and then they overheard about where some Faunus have been staying, and they want in as well.
So, here they are. Why Great Lakes and not Royal Woods though? Well, Great Lakes City reminds them of Mantle, but not too much in the security and are friendly around the block and descent jobs too.
But deep down, they kinda wish that they can go home, but it won't be an easy task with the Grimm controlling the place. They only hope that soon, the heroes can go back and fend off Salem and her forces with the plan they have come up with.
And also fix the issue that General Ironwood has for being an idiot to abandon Mantle and just leave Remnant with Atlas.
The dropship lands onto the nearby air tower and someone walks out of it, the man is the former leader of the Ace Ops and was classified as deceased, he is now a member of the Royal Defenders and still trains them to be better in combat. Clover Elbi, and still retaining the uniform made by FutureTech.
Clover smells the air. "Huh, this place does have a nice smell and the city kinda reminds me of Mantle."
Victor then comes out. "Darn right it is, welcome to Great Lakes City, Clover. The current home of the Faunus and humans from Mantle, and also the current home of the Faunus who moved here last year."
Clover then uses binoculars to look around. "Well, they have a pretty decent and good police force here, and some of those protoss warriors helping keep the place safe from harm, and the Pokèmon also residing here. Man, I almost forgot the Pokèmon here."
He then lowers his binoculars. "This is some getting used to."
"Come on Clover, someone like you can handle this place" said Victor. "Now, let's go and see what this place has to offer and see if the folks will recognize you."
They both walk towards the elevator and head down the air tower, then Victor recalls something. "Oh yeah, I think some of the Royal Defenders are here as well."
( Later.)
Victor and Clover are both walking down the streets and Clover sees some folks are waving at him and he can recognize some of those people and Faunus as the former citizens of Mantle, so he waves back.
Clover smiles seeing this. "Wow. The folks from Mantle still know me, and I kinda recognize some of them, well some of them."
Victor smirks. "Obviously, because they know what you have fought for and to the fact you helped keep the crime put to low alongside those Ace Ops you lead."
Clover smirks. "Yeah, I hope they're doing well. They can be….. Way into the whole to taking orders thing, and I don't even know how they even feel with me gone, the death of one of the council members and Ironwood and his new dilemmas and acts of betrayal…… To all of remnant."
Victor can see that it's troubling to hear that. "Hey man, take it easy. I know things are hard, and believe me the rest of the team feel the same way too, and not just about Penny not being part of the team. We wanna go back, but we can't unless Gyro has been given the word go."
"We'll have to hold our own and figure things out until the day comes for us to go back and face off Salem and her Grimm, and the plan will work and we will stop the madness that has struck Mantle and Atlas."
Clover sighs. "Yeah, yeah. Sorry, just that…… Mantle and Atlas are my home, and I wanna go back and help, but I know that we all have our paths to take, and after what happened to me. I got a long way to go before I can even go back home."
Victor and Clover then bypass Mr. Nakamura and his dog Nelson. "Still troubled over the incident with Qrow Branwen?"
Clover sighs. "Yeah, not an easy thing to go by. He didn't kill me, it was Tyrian and I know he was upset, and heck I felt bad that I had to follow orders and take him in. When I do go back, I need to speak with him, but I know we both will go after the same person."
Victor knows and is also ticked off. "Tyrian Gallows. I know, the others know and bad news to tell ya, the maniac is alive and has a new dang tail to boot. He's still back at Salem's floating whale monster and probably planning his next kill."
That was enough to make Clover upset. "He won't get away, the next time we fight, then it's personal and I also need to apologize to Robyn for my actions as well."
"I'm sure she would know you didn't mean it" said Victor. Then they see something. "Well, well. Santiago and Chang?"
They go to a food truck, or a Cubano truck and see Ronnie Anne Santiago and Sid Chang working there, alongside their pal Sameer.
"What the heck are you guys doing here?" asked Victor.
"Hey dudes, we're just trying to train so we can work in this sandwich truck and then get into the 12 is Midnight concert" replied Ronnie Anne.
"And we cannot fail this! I am not going to miss out on…. Yoon-Kwan!" Sid then has an action figure of Yoon-Kwan and he hugs it. "We need to get in there and make sure we see them, live."
Sameer chuckles. "Yup, and this is the one way they can get in. Working in making Cubanos."
Clover smirks. "Wow. Now that's what I call dedication with a cause, most kids would work for something to fight for, but you two are working for something your both fans of. I respect that."
Ronnie Anne looks to the man. "Are you Clover?
"Heard of me?" asked Clover.
"From Lincoln" said Sid. "Good to meet you, and we hope you guys can kick butt and save your home soon, we know you guys can reclaim Mantle and send the bad guys running."
Clover chuckles. "Thanks girls, we know the fight will be tough, but as long as we got each other's backs and stick to the plans, then it will be a win. Even with Salem sent running, the General is still an obstacle."
Victor then pulls out his wallet. "We'll take two Cubanos please."
"Two Cubanos, coming right up!" Ronnie Anne and Sid then start to make the sandwiches.
Clover smirks. "Never had one, are they any good?"
Sameer chuckles. "As good as you can get to taste for. Also, since you are new here, welcome to Great Lakes City and we hope you enjoy the place."
Clover nods. "Thanks kid." He then looks around. "Really does bring back some good memories of being back home in Mantle and I am happy to see the people and Faunus I know enjoying their lives here."
Ronnie Anne and Sid then bring them the Cubanos and they look right. "Wow. Nice one girls, at this point you guys will be aces at this and get into the concert for sure" said Victor as he takes the sandwich.
Ronnie Anne and Sid smile. "We know, it was hard at first, but we got the hang of it."
Clover also takes the sandwich. "Takes time to do something right, but with a lot of practice, then you girls can get the hang of it." He then takes a bite out of the sandwich. "Oh wow. This is good, I'd like to bring my team here one day to try this stuff."
Sid chuckles. "Thanks for the compliment guys, also the rest of the heroes are all over the city. Lincoln and some of the guys are having some time at the Park, and the gals are at Margarita's getting their hairs done."
"And through the help of the cousin I know, CJ" replied Ronnie Anne.
Victor chuckles. "Huh, so the rumors are true. CJ is an ace at haircuts."
Clover thinks. "Maybe we should check it out. My sides and back are growing a few inches and I could use a good trim."
Victor chuckles. "Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about, man! We can explore this city and you can see just how awesome it is."
Ronnie Anne smirks. "Trust what he says dude, this city is awesome and you'll see why the good folks and Faunus like it here. Alongside the local Pokèmon residence as well."
Clover chuckles hearing this from them. "Well, this should be fun."
Clover and Victor then walk off to check out the rest of Great Lakes City.
( Hell.)
Gyro is walking down the corridors of the Magne Palace and he's speaking with someone. That someone is the father of Charlie, the husband of Lilith; he is, Lucifer Magne.
Both walk down the corridors and are discussing some stuff.
"So, there is a possibility of a new threat to our world, and to all worlds?" asked Lucifer.
"Indeed your highness. The Xel'Naga speak of a multidimensional war and it will be caused by some other worldly threat in the future and we need to stop the assault before the realms is at war and ends up having one hell of a cataclysm" replied Gyro.
Lucifer thinks about this. "Has the big guy in the sky heard of it yet?"
Gyro nods. "He has been informed and he too will ready his army of angels to join the fight, if it does arrive and I know you do not wish your realm to fall to destruction."
Lucifer thinks about this, his realm and his wife and daughter and those he deems allies, such as Alastor. "You speak words that I cannot deny. Whatever this threat is, will not bring ruin to the realms and I am not looking for another overpopulation crisis again. I will ensure my forces are ready for the incoming threat."
Gyro nods. "Thank you Lucifer, I will inform my allies soon enough and I already got word that Alastor is going to be part of the upcoming battle as well."
"Do you have a backup plan?" asked Lucifer.
"Yes. I do, and it involves the new Guardian and the tower I reside in" replied Gyro.
Lucifer nods then. "I look forward to joining the fight and siding with the Lord of Terror and his army from the Burning Hells, and I do hope my daughter will be told of this without making her concerned, but I know Lilith will not like this."
"Hell is they're home and domain, and they would not want anything bad to happen" said Gyro. "We will win the fight and we will ensure our multiverse continues onward."
Lucifer nods. "I know it will, Guardian. Also, do you wish to know what I have to tell you about this, Geneevee who has been tortured recently?"
"Do tell" said Gyro. They both walk out of the palace.
"Well, after being crucified in front of the raging sea of lava, he was sent to the torture chamber and as of now he's being given a hell of a beating and a hell of a suffering. We actually intend to crucify him once again, but this time by the river of fire alongside some others that have been tortured from wrong doings and breaking my laws" replied Lucifer.
Gyro smirks. "What do you intend to do next?"
Lucifer grins. "Extermination. The sinner will be left out in the open and slaughtered by the Exterminators and it will be enjoyable, well for Alastor probably."
Gyro smiles. "Well, I shall inform the others of this. Till we speak again, your majesty." Gyro then morphs into a raven and flies through a portal.
Lucifer looks to the distance and sees Pentagram city and grins. ' This new threat to the realms, is a threat to my home and my family and to all of hell and I will not let this stand. The new threat will see my wrath first hand, so everyone else who wants them knocked out will have to get in line!'

A/N: Clover will see the very reason why the folks from Mantle like Great Lakes City, and now Gyro has the aid of Lucifer for the future annoying threat to the realms, but what could it be? Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
