Spells and Louds

To those who know this. Then you all know what this is about. This all takes place after the events of "Spell Luck" Where we now see how the lives of the former louds are, as they soon become something they did not expect to see coming, a hero group known as the Royal Defenders. This was originally made on 6/25/2019.

548. Chapter 548

Spells and Louds.

Chapter 548: The Button-eyed witch.

( Spellman Estate.)

The night has fallen and everyone at the place is fast asleep. Everyone dreaming away as the rain continues to pour outside.

Neil is asleep next to his wife Gwen. Luna and Leni are also fast asleep as the rain continues. Sunset is asleep on her bean bag chair after a night of game streaming and Timmy is at a sleep over at Coop's home in the Rosato Mansion.

Lily is fast asleep in her crib, Michelle is asleep in her room and so are all the Pokèmon and the pets, but then Absol wakes up and looks round the room and sees Lincoln and Linka are still fast asleep. He sees Arcanine is still snoozing and so he goes back to sleep, but is still aware of his surroundings.

But none of them even know and not even HARV can sense the presence of something small and that small thing are mice, going around the place. But these are jumping mice and they drag something with them as they go down the halls.

Soon, they arrive to the room of their target, for their mistress and they slowly jump and open the door and soon it opens slowly and the mice sneak into the room and see the Pokèmon fast asleep, and even sneak around from the sleeping Absol.

They see the sleeping girl with white hair and they squeak to each other about the plan, but then Absol wakes up and looks around, and sees nothing. Absol continues to look around and then goes back to sleep.

The mice then come out from hiding and they drag their object and they shove it onto the bed of the girl, they all look to each other and then run off through the slightly opened door and race down the stairs and out through the vents and then out the house and off to the Great Gate.

There, is a small portal that is just their size and they all go through, and it closes with a whisper. ' Soon, soon you will be mine, sweet daughter.'

( The next day.)

Everyone is awake and eating breakfast, then comes the twins and Lincoln has this confused look. Luna notices this. "Linc, what's wrong?"

"Umm, that." Lincoln steps to the side and they see Linka come in with Absol and Arcanine and she has this doll with her. "She woke up with that…… Thing on her bed."

All of them see this and are confused. "Umm, did anyone make that for her?" asked Sunset. They all look to Neil, since they do recall he tends to knit.

"What? What? I didn't make that, and sure as heck I don't even know how to make a doll. I can sew and mend clothing and knit some sweaters, but a doll is something that us out of my league."

Leni goes over and looks to the doll. "Linka, where did you get this little toy?"

Linka looks to the rag doll with buttons for eyes and looks like her. "I don't know, I just woke up and saw this in my arms and I was so confused. What the heck was this doll doing on my bed and why the heck does it look like me, because this is freaking me out."

Sunset goes over. "Hmm, something doesn't seem right." she looks back to the others. "You guys are sure none of you made that?" she looks to the three grownups.

"I swear, I did not make that and I don't know how to make that" replied Neil.

"I know some sewing stuff, but that is something I don't know" said Gwen.

"Not to me. I don't know how to sew anything" replied Michelle. She then drinks her coffee.

Leni looks to the doll and Linka hands it to her, she looks at all the details. "This….. This is thoroughly and well-made. Nothing is out of place, except for the common doll button eyes but, everything is just so well detailed. Kinda the same outfit Linka wore long ago and it's filled with sand."

The Linka doll is wearing an orange blouse, blue skirt, white shoes with orange and white socks and has her white hair and pink hair clips and smiles with her signature chipped tooth.

Luna also goes to the doll. "Something seems kinda off about this, doll. I don't know why, but I feel like this thing is….. Not supposed to be here."

Neil goes near and before he touches it, Deathwing comes to control and looks to the doll with his fiery eyes. " Well, well. Seems like a form of dark and evil magic has come to this world and is looking for someone to play with. A witch of some sort, but magic that is as old as nearly 150 and seeks souls. "

They all remain silent and Luna looks to the doll, then she recalls something. "Sunset, see what the doll sees!"

Sunset is confused. "Wait, what?!"

"Do it!" said Lincoln.

Sunset is confused and so she goes over. "Guys, my powers to see what people's memories have and their thoughts might not work on…." She touches the doll and her eyes glow and her expression turns from confused to downright horrified. She then let's go. "What the heck?! What the heck was that?!"

They all go towards Sunset whose backing away from the doll. "What? What did you see?" asked Lincoln.

"This….. This thing, this monster. I don't know, she looked so…… So hideous and nearly spider-like and has needles for arms. She made the doll and…… She saw me."

They all remain silent and Deathwing looks to the doll and grabs it. " The Guardian will be the one to answer this case of mystery, but I fear that whatever made this, might not be done with us. But why come here and why make this to look like… " He then looks to Linka. " Her? Something is wrong. "

Leni sees the scared look in Linka and so she goes over and hugs her to comfort her little sister. "We have to get the Guardian, and I'm calling Loni as well."

Deathwing then let's Neil take control. "I'll call Gyro."

"I'm calling the others" said Lincoln.

"We have to keep the home secured and double check if something missed the sensors last night" said Gwen.

HARV then speaks. " There was nothing last night, I couldn't sense any movement and then my sensors picked up the traits of the doll that appeared within the room of the twins, and also, something was making me glitch until the morning came. "

"Then something is wrong, and it had something to do with that!" said Sunset as she points to the doll.

They all look to the doll and back up. Neil then places the doll onto the coffee table and places a glass case on it. "We need the Guardian here, now!"

Then the doors open. "Hey guys, we're back." It was Timmy and Poof and they see the shocked looks from everyone. "What's going on? What's with you guys?" asked Timmy.

They then see the doll. "What's with the witch made doll?" asked Poof.

( Later.)

All of them are now in the living room and looking at this doll, though some seem to just dismiss it as some simple toy, the rest are cautious and then Gyro, the Guardian of the Realms looks at it.

"So, the little thing made it all the way here. But how the hell did it evade my tower?"

They all look to him in shock. "You knew about this thing?!"

Gyro sighs. "Sadly yeah, it came to our world when the New Year began and I had no clue what it was and nor could I even see through its own memories. I didn't know what it was, but now I see what it truly does and from what Deathwing said, it is made by a witch and an old one too."

"So, what the heck is it?" asked Leni as she hugs Linka. Loni also helps comfort her, Linka does not wanna be taken away, again.

Gyro looks to Sunset. "Describe the creature you saw."

Sunset then tries to recall. "Okay so….. This thing, looked like it was made of cracked porcelain or something, has sewing needles for fingers and some metallic-spider like limbs and was very thin and has, buttons for eyes and dark hair and is quite lanky and keen in looks."

Sunset then takes a moment to calm down and Lori places her hand on her shoulder. "That thing….. It was so scary and it looked at me and waved! It saw me! How the hell?!"

Gyro then recalls something. "Beldam."

"What?" asked Leon.

"The Beldam, that's what she is!" said Gyro. He then looks out the window. "All this time and for nearly 500 years of me living around and I didn't even see that one coming. This thing, we met and I narrowly escaped her attacks, but that was back when my magic wasn't strong enough and yet she somehow sent one of her toys through the realms, and now she has made her presence aware for all of us."

"Guardian!" said Lincoln. "What the heck is the Beldam?"

Gyro then tries to recall. "From what Medivh once said to me. The Beldam is a witch, more than 150 years old and from another world, which was said to be casted out so she won't come in contact with other worlds. She is quite cunning and elusive and craves one thing….. Souls, mostly from children to keep her alive."

"She replaces her limbs with metallic stuff to keep her from rotting away, she's technically a walking corpse and was said to have killed and put her mother into the ground, more than once and her most known tactics are creating, her world or what most kids would call, the other world."

"Other world?" asked Loona.

"The other world is like what you would say the world you know, but better and something you always wanted and needed and so she makes this other world and makes it to the liking of the child and then she uses her shape shifting abilities to take up the form of the closest person the child needs and wants the most, usually the mother."

"She appears to children who have been neglected or seek some attention and happiness, and she uses these wretched dolls as bait of some sort to lure them and then she makes her servants and most are either ravens, crows or mice to trigger the bait and bring the child through her portal and to the other world."

"Eventually the child will not want to leave, and then she goes in for the attack and tells them that if they wish to stay…… They must sew buttons onto their eyes." This makes them all gasp in shock and horror and Boomer faints. "Yeah, I was shocked as well, then she claims they're souls and the dead will never ever be able to pass on."

The others don't know what to make of this and look to the doll. "The doll does the one thing it was tasked to do, and that task is to watch over the child and see what the child needs and wants and then the Beldam does her work. Heck, she can even make better versions of the friends the child has."

Leni then asks. "But, why would she go for Linka? She's not being neglected and she's not even a sad girl!" She then looks to Linka, who seems unsure. "Linka? Are you okay?"

They all look to the white-haired girl. "I'm…. a nervous wreck guys. Sorry, I never told you any of this."

"I don't get it, what do you mean a nervous….?" Lori then realizes. "The past. You haven't gotten over the whole incident with your gender bent family, have you?"

Linka nods. "Y-Yeah, I haven't and I don't know how to get over it and it's also something Lincoln shares too, sort of."

Luna looks to Lincoln and holds his hand. "Lincoln?"

The white-haired boy sighs. "Sorry, but she's right. I am also a bit of a nervous wreck and I try to keep my mind at bay so I won't have to rethink all that I went through, and the many times I nearly lost so much. Which is why Linka and I are the same and why we're twins. We both share a piece of pain, from our past."

Now some of them feel bad for them, they haven't gotten over most of their past.

Loni then looks to Gyro. "Guardian, what do we do?" He looks to the doll. "That thing is not…." They see the doll tilt a bit. "Umm, leave us alone?"

Gyro looks to the doll sternly. "Beldam, she knows we see her and is aware of our plan. We must act, and find out where she is."

Sergei is confused. "I thought you said she was dangerous and elusive?"

"That was long ago, back when I wasn't strong enough. But I am now, and the only way to end this nightmare, is to destroy the witch and end her reign of destruction and vile evil, once and for all. I am not afraid of her anymore."

He then looks to the doll. "I am not afraid of you, not anymore."

This made them all concerned. ' Gyro is afraid of her?'

Linka then recalls something. "Guys, I know what she wants." They all look to Linka and she shows them the keychain on her phone and Gyro is shocked. "She wants this." The keychain is a key, but it looks like a button on the hilt.

"W-Where did you get that?!" asked Gyro in shock.

Linka then recalls. "Tall Timbers Creek. It was last month and I was strolling around by myself and going through the many things on my mind and then I found this old abandoned well and then I found the key, which was used to tie this big rock that had a cloth and some broken needles. So I took it."

Leni is shocked. "What? What the heck? Needles?" She then goes wide eyed. "The Beldam." She looks to Gyro. "Where is the Beldam from?!"

Gyro then recalls. "Some realm that is out of our reach, and no way to hell can she even make….. She found a portal, to our world! God damn it!"

Neil thinks about this. "So, the Beldam found some new tricks and ways to come to other worlds, interesting. But the key, this is the path to her domain?"

Gyro nods. "Yes, this key unlocks the door to her home, which is a crawl space at the Pink Palace located in Ashland, Oregon U.S.A in another earth." He then looks to Linka. "That well, must've been a small portal to the earth it came from and brought the key here, but why was it tied to the shattered remains of the Beldam's hand?"

Coop then has an idea. "Someone, a child must've found some way to beat her!"

Peter then stands up. "And the Beldam wants revenge! She doesn't want Linka, she wants the key, to escape and then go after whoever beat her! This is revenge!"

Gyro then looks to the doll. "Well, then. I guess it's time we took down the vengeful monster and save the girl, whose life is in terrible danger."

"But, why not hide the key?" asked Luan.

"That might not work" said Clover. "As Gyro said; this witch won't stop till she gets the key, and chances she'll go to any lengths to get her hands on it and then get her revenge."

"And the best option we got is to kill her, make her gone from the world of everything" said Luna.

They all look to Lincoln, but the boy looks to Gyro. "Guardian, what's the plan?" They all look to Gyro.

The Guardian then grabs the doll from the glass case. "Let's go to that well. We got an earth to visit and a witch to hunt."

But unknown to them, the doll snickers, for the witch is waiting for them to come as well.
