Spells and Louds.
Chapter 560: The tremors beneath pt.3.
(Eastern Outskirts of Royal Woods.)
A large convoy of heavily armored vehicles is making their way through the main roads and are headed east. We got Allied Troops, Protoss forces and the White Fang police force all rallying with every weapon they have armed and loaded for a fight.
They setup a large perimeter to keep the threat from heading to Beaverton, Hazeltucky and Great Lakes City, the whole state of Michigan has been alerted, that they have Graboids in their midst and Royal Woods is gonna become the playing field for a slaughter.
The vehicle convoy makes it to the location, a large open field that divides the forest that goes to Royal Woods and the massive Chicken farm and factory far from the place.
They ready all weapons and are locked and loaded. They form a massive line to hold off whatever is gonna come and attack their town and they won't stop till the heathens are wiped out.
Every tank and anti-air to anti-surface weapon is there and standby for the enemy to come.
Then the truck opens and coming out is Peter Sharp and Burt Gummer. While the rest of the team were at the other rides, and they even managed to get the Tiger Tank back and running, Leon and Sergei want some revenge on those monsters.
Burt then sees some of the old World War 2 weapons they have. "Damn. Didn't think you guys had some of this stuff, looks dangerous too."
The World War 2 weaponry: M5 Halftrack with a .45mm Quad cannon on the back, M8 Greyhound, M15A1 AA Halftrack, PzKpfw 251 German Scout Car, Flakpanzer IV Ostwind, SdKfz 234 Puma, SdKfz 251/17 Flak Halftrack, Panzer II 'Luchs' Light tank, AA MK II Centaur and a QF 40mm AA Gun Bofors.
Even Artillery is in the mix: SU 76mm Assault Gun, M7B1 'Priest' Howitzer motor Carriage and a 25-Pounder SP Tracked Sexton Self-Propelled Artillery. They even brought the Mark V Tank that Lana owns and yes they asked her permission, just as long as she gets to see the footage of how her tank helped fight off this new enemy.
They even brought with them some Heavy Machine Guns to help with the shootout.
Victor then passes Burt the .50 cal. Ammo. "All of this is necessary, we're gonna need to make this plan of yours as dangerous as it is intense and it is gonna get intense with all these weapons."
Burt chuckles. "Then this is gonna be hell of a turkey shootout. Let's do this thing."
Everyone gets to their posts and mans the weapons.
Leon of course gets onto the mounted MG42 of the Tiger Tank, Sergei and Victor handle the main gun to prepare to fire high explosive ordinance.
The heroes on the other hand get ready to fight with what they have, let it be powers or with the weapons they know how to operate and then coming in is the Odin and Loni is controlling it.
Burt Gummer gets onto the halftrack and looks at everyone. "Look at us, coming together to take down the one thing that annoys me more, freaking monstrous freaks that have been haunting me for a long time!"
Burt then gets into position. "Now!"
Martin at FutureTech deploys the Weather Control device and utilizes the tech to control the clouds to cover the sun where the Shriekers and the others are located, since the Shriekers will see too much heat everywhere, they need some darkness to leverage the issue.
But it's not too dark.
With everyone in position, there was only one thing Burt has to say. "Is everyone ready?"
"Let's light them up and smoke them out!" said Lincoln.
"Bring it! Bring it! I am so ready for a fight!" said Neil.
"Let led fly and bombard the battlefield, I wanna see them slaughtered!" said Jordan.
"I faced these Mother Hubbard's from screaming hell before, and damn I can do it again!" yelled Peter.
"Revenge! Revenge for trying to sink my tank!" yelled Leon.
Burt laughs at this, they were as prepared as he is and he likes it. "Let the bait fly!"
The Odin gets in position and it deploys someone on a mini-airship, on that mini-airship is Boomer, he's tied up like bait and he is not happy. "You're all assholes! Why am I the bait?!"
Linka looks to him as she arms her sniper rifle. "Who's got a lot of radiation inside of him?"
Boomer thinks about this. "Huh, that does make sense. But why not Lori and Becky? They have fire powers, they can be bait too!"
"Which is why we're doing here at ground level" replied Becky as she's in her hero mode.
"And our heat is gonna literally kill those things!" said Lori as she enters her hero mods.
Burt puts on his shades and readies the .45 mm anti-air guns. "Let the flare fly, now!"
Leon fires a flare into the sky and it makes a bright light that also creates heat and this gets the attention of the Shriekers and they all shriek seeing this, and rush to where it's coming from.
The shriek from these monsters can be heard from where the troops are, and they sound like they're hungry. "Hear that? That's the sound of the demons coming and we're gonna be the ones to send them back to hell" said Peter, he's mounting the AA Halftrack.
The flare burns out, but they see Boomer in the sky and rush forward, they can see a lot of heat from the man and it looks like a lot of things with heat grouped up together, so they think they're going to attack a crowd, and the Shriekers all pick up speed.
They then see something coming, and that something is a massive army of a thousand Shriekers coming at them. The monsters see the troops and vehicles and then they see Lori and Becky and run faster.
"This is it, here they come!" said Lincoln. "Just because they look way too many, do not stand down. Hold your ground and let's drive these things into the ground!"
They all hold their ground and wait for the right moment. The moment when Burt says so. "Wait for it!"
The Shriekers all shriek and run towards them. "Wait for it."
Everyone gets ready as these things are coming in. "Now!"
They all open fire and bombard the frontline.
A hailstorm of high explosive ordinance and other heavy duty rounds and bullets are let loose and hit the Shriekers and all of them take the hits and are getting slaughtered.
Lincoln using his Shredder Pistols and set to high velocity kyber rounds.
Dana and Luna with an icicle barrage, though Luna also sends a barrage of shadow bolts.
Linka, Carol and Gwen snipe with their rifles and bow and arrows.
Leni sends in a hailstorm of lethal thorn shots and Sam sends small bolts of electricity.
Loni in the Odin just bombards the Shriekers, he doesn't need to aim, they're all so many and grouped up together, now that is what I call crowd control.
Jordan is on Dominic and has the Vulture Bike armor and combines her Gauss rifle and shreds through the Shriekers and yells like an amazon ready for war. She even brought some Hydralisks with her to shoot out their poisonous armor piercing spines.
The others are all mounting other kinds of weapons, heavy duty fast-firing guns and cannons.
And every vehicle and heavy duty weapon let's lose all the rounds they have onto these sick second evolution formed Graboid turkeys!
Becky and Lori are not allowed to attack, if they attack, then the Shriekers will be redirected to the fire they shoot out, and they cannot let that happen.
Peter Sharp laughs at this. "I've never felt so fucking alive! Wooohooo!"
"Like old times!" Burt yells and laughs maniacally as he tear through all the Shriekers coming in at them and this is the biggest Shrieker slaughter he has ever seen and to have been to.
As they shred through all the Shriekers, Boomer sees what's happening. "Holy shit. That is a lot of big ass turkey dinosaur freaks and they're ugly too." But then he hears another sound and uses his binoculars and is horrified. "Everyone, Ass Blasters incoming!"
Burt looks up and sees 5 Ass Blasters in the air. "Looks like we got some strays!" He redirects his anti-air guns and so does Peter and they begin to tear the flying freaks apart one by one, some try to evade but they can't escape when Burt Gummer goes into a monster killing spree.
Everyone continues with every round they got, until the last Shrieker and Ass Blaster is slain and there's nothing left and the one thing that can be heard in the crowd, is the laugh of Burt Gummer.
(Moments later.)
With the conflict done with, they clean up the massive mess of monsters all around the place, and they even send some forces to check the chicken farm lands for any signs of survivors there.
They all get a clean-up crew and begin to clean what's left of these giant monstrous things, and there are a lot of dead Shriekers and Martin is there and he checks on each one. "Okay, so this is number 678 and a whole lot more to go."
They begin to pack up all the weapons they brought and some of the guns on the vehicles have overheated from the attack, but it was all worth it!
Leon looks at all the shells that are left on the ground. "Jesus Christ, that is a lot of ammo used up. We killed it out there."
Sergei comes out with Victor and he tosses Leon a beer. "Celebrate brother, celebrate!"
Peter then hands Burt the sniper rifle and some SMG's. "You don't have to give me these" said Burt. "I got tons of weapons with me and all of them still work."
"True, but these are payment for helping us out" replied Peter, he then hands Burt a .50 cal. HMG. "But you never know when you might need some more guns for whatever happens." He then helps load the ammo into the truck.
Burt Gummer chuckles and gets down from the truck. "This surely has been one hell of a monster hunt and with an old friend too."
Peter shakes Burt's hand. "It was an honor to fight by your side once again, old friend. We fought these things once before and we haven't lost our touch."
Burt Gummer smirks. "Indeed we have." He then looks to the heroes. "Well, this has been one swell ride and I uh….. I enjoyed every bit of it." They all chuckle from his words.
"All this time there were vicious monsters terrorizing the country and half the folks in the place didn't even know, but now they do and we're glad we know what we're up against the next time they show up" said Linka.
"Well, if they do show up and give me a holler and I will be there to send them running for their lives" replied Burt. He then goes into the truck and Peter does to the driver's seat.
They all go towards the truck. "Thanks for helping us Burt Gummer, you're truly a legend against these things" replied Jordan.
Burt chuckles. "You're welcome hang, and remember the one thing I know all the time. Be prepared for anything that happens!" The truck then drives off and they all wave goodbye as the man leaves.
Then Gyro lands in front of them. "Hey guys, what did I miss?" He then looks around. "What the hell? Shriekers?! What happened?!"
Then they hear someone yelling. "Guys!" They all look up and see Boomer is still up there and tied to the mini-airship. "Can I come down now? It's getting cold up here!"
They have a lot to tell Gyro, he missed a lot and they also wonder, where the heck was he when all of this shit happened?!
Oh, and Gwen fires an arrow and Boomer comes down and lands onto the dirt, face first. "Thank you."

A/N: Well, that ends the attack of the Graboids, and they're monstrous evolutionary forms, but who knows? Maybe they'll tag team with Burt Gummer again, should the monsters do come back that is. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
