Chapter 575: Patching up some things

(Ketcham Park.)

The date is now February 12 and we're closing into the upcoming day of Valentine's which is on Sunday and also the same time they're gonna be holding the Royal Woods Middle School and High School Prom and of course, the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The school boards have allowed that when Monday comes, there will be no school so that teens and kids can rest after a night of romance and dancing.

But right now, some peace is needed and peace it is for all at the park and thank goodness it's Friday.

Lori is talking with Leni, Becky, Dana and Carol, as well as some of their friends from High School. They got some time off from college and they wanna see how they're friends and family are doing.

Sunset is talking with Coop and Timmy on the game they plan to play called: Among Us.

Kick and Gunther are skateboarding past them and with them is Scarlet Rosetti.

Luna and Sam are both by the fountain and they talk about their plans on the songs to perform for the High School Prom and they have it all figured out, but where are Sully and Mazzy?

The other band mates are busy helping out in setting up the High School for the big night, alongside some other teens and Faunus friends.

We now set our sights onto the duo at the park and that duo is Lincoln Spellman and his girlfriend Jordan Rosato. The two 13-year olds are underneath the shade of a tree and watching as everyone is enjoying themselves in the park.

They see some of their pals and gals enjoying some couple time at the park and all of them seem so peaceful and happy, though Jenny and Flat Tire aren't around. Those two stayed at the Middle School to help Darrel with the setup for the prom.

Jordan leans her head onto Lincoln's shoulder. "So, we're almost there huh?"

Lincoln looks to Jordan and smirks. Then he looks back to everyone having fun. "Yeah. The big day for love in the air to come, and along with the proms we'll be attending. Let it be in this world or the others, it's all gonna be dang awesome."

Jordan smirks. "No kidding." She then looks to her boyfriend. "Do you think we can go and visit our other world selves? I wanna know how they're doing after the whole ordeal on the trouble they had to face."

Lincoln recalls that one. "Right. They had to face Sasha Alabaman and save their town from nearly getting destroyed. At least they stood tall and strong, and it might've been a shame for that girl to be killed, but at least she's gone. Now she won't cause any trouble to anyone ever again."

Jordan nods. "Chances they'll ask us how we've been doing with what we did." She then looks towards the snow-haired boy. "Should we even tell them?"

Lincoln thinks about this. He knows his counterparts will wanna know what they're mission was.

Chances they're not gonna be happy with how it all went down, Lincoln is still troubled with the whole issue when he turned into a mutant hellhound.

"I guess we should tell them, but then they will start asking questions as to why I turned into the mutated hellhound" replied Lincoln. He looks down and is a bit upset. "I don't know what's gonna happen if we tell them the whole Helluva Loud Luck thing."

"Then we don't tell them, yet." The two preteen's notice Luna and Sam are there next to them. "Hey guys, we saw Lincoln feeling upset and Lunes here felt his mind is troubled" replied Sam."

They go over and sit next to them. Luna pulls her kid close to her. "Lincoln, don't think about it too hard. Sure we might have to go and check out our normal-to-action counterparts and what they do, and it is gonna be true that they will ask us what we did, but they'll understand when they don't ask more stuff."

"We can tell them not to ask any more questions or dive deeper into what happened. They will understand and if the other's with them keep asking, then the other Lincoln and Jordan will reason with them to not to."

Jordan answers next. "Luna's right. From what we have known from our other world versions, they're understanding and have changed ever since the whole darn of the "Sparking Relationship" Thing. They'll know when something's up and when someone is in no mood to talk some more."

Lincoln smiles hearing this. "Thanks. I needed that and I was also feeling like I was gonna… Gonna…"

"Lose your cool?" asked Luna with a worried tone. "I felt it and I understand kiddo." She then hugs her son. "The damage may be gone, but the healing is still going and it won't be an easy thing for us to get over. Mostly for you, but we'll be there to help you out, Linc. Always."

Sam then mentions. "You don't have to go to the Middle School Prom, Lincoln. You and Lunes can chill at your homes and take the time to patch up some of the recent damages, both physically and mentally."

Lincoln smirks. "As much as it would be nice to spend some time with mom some more, I'm not gonna take it. Luna has her own prom to enjoy with Sam and I wanna go to my first ever Middle School prom." He then looks towards Jordan. "And with the gal I am truly closest to, into calling the one I truly love."

Jordan smiles hearing this and she blushes. She then kisses the boy she loves and he kisses her back.

Luna and Sam smile seeing this and they lean onto each other and watch as the preteens share a nice passionate kiss.

The duo depart from the kiss and look to each other with a love daze. They only have one thing to say to each other: "I love you, so much."

This makes Luna and Sam chuckle and they all take the time to calm down and relax all together.

Even with the past memories of what happened in the world of New York with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they know it won't happen again and that everything will be back to normal soon.

They have a lot to heal and a lot to patch up, but they'll get through it.

(Royal Fortress.)

Now located somewhere on the move and inbound for Australia, with the air fleet above them.

Within the base is Martin McKenzie and his colleagues Jack Cyber and Victor and all three men are beginning the test of some new and advanced technology for combat.

"Alright, so test 1 of newly built weapon, for the Railgun Tank. We are ready to test the gun that will be used by said weapon. Preparing to fire the Railgun cannon on my mark." Martin then checks the controls and the trio watch from the other side of the room as the gun points towards the target.

Victor sets the power to high. "Standing by."

Jack Cyber makes sure it's locked onto target. "Ready to fire."

Martin turns on his shades and also turns on the protective barrier for them. "Contact!"

He pushes the button and the Railgun cannon is going to blast, but then it shuts down. This confuses the FutureTech trio.

"Okay, was that supposed to happen?" asked Victor. He then checks the tablet for the issues. "We got multiple cooling systems overheated and shutting down."

Jack Cyber also checks the systems. "Tons of it is sparking and slowly slowing down, and its offline."

Martin removes his shades. "I don't get it. This was supposed to work, what the hell just happened?"

Then the Railgun cannon explodes. They all go wide-eyed and look to the weapon they built and there's nothing left. "Well, that happened." They turn to the right and see Boomer, he is scorched and smoke is coming out of his mouth. "I got donuts."

Boomer goes over and he places the box of donuts onto the table. "So, what the fuck was this all about."

"We'd like to know as well." They all turn to the main door and spot the Guardian, Gyro and former Ace Ops leader, Clover Elbi come in and see the damage.

Clover whistles at how much damage was made. "Guys, you really need to be cautious with what you're making. This is suddenly looking like the new weapons testing rooms from Atlas and they always end in fires."

"Then be lucky this test didn't start a fire." Martin turns off the barrier and then they go to the wrecked cannon. "We've been developing a new kind of weapon, a weapon for a new faction the United Kingdom is planning to make soon."

Gyro recalls that one. "Right. The agreement of terms from the countries of Great Britain, Germany, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece and Italy. The European Union, or E.U for short. So, this is what they want, this new kind of tank that goes boom?" This makes Boomer and Clover laugh.

But the FutureTech trio are not amused by the joke. "Nor funny" replied Victor. "This wasn't supposed to happen." He goes through his tablet. "This Railgun weapon was supposed to fire a deadly plasma shot that can do tons of damage and would be retrofitted onto the newest heavy vehicle for combat."

"The Railgun tank." Jack Cyber shows them the image and they are impressed. "The purpose for this is a heavy tank, similar to that of the Soviet Apocalypse Tank and the Allied Future Tank X-1, but this Heavy Tank has the speed and body armor to that of the Mirage Tank and the Guardian Tank combined and the fire power to that of the Wave-Force artillery."

Gyro is impressed. "Damn, what else do you guys got in the arsenal for the new faction?"

Martin, Victor and Jack Cyber show them Project Gen: Command and Conquer, E.U. They show them the hologram images of their new technology and some other unfinished tech.

"We got the Fox LRV, which is a light reconnaissance vehicle, hence the acronym that moves faster than a Humvee and a Multi-Gunner IFV combined and is armed with a machinegun for light combat, with limited space for troops."

"Next we got the Longbow. A powerful anti-air to anti-surface combat and recon vehicle, which can track down and neutralize enemy aircraft with their anti-air rockets that do immense splash damage when detonated into the air."

"We even built a new kind of aircraft that we're calling, the Valkyrie. Reverse engineered from the GDI Orca and the Terran-Dominion Banshee strike craft. The Valkyrie can fire a hail storm of rockets onto air and ground targets, and is armed with dual anti-surface machine guns that can also punch through light and medium armored targets."

"We got the Aegis Tank, already done and ready for manufacture, this vehicle fires short burst rounds of the same as the Railgun tank and acts as the main-battle tank for the European union, with moderate speed, good armor and very accurate range for its firepower."

"We also plan on making a new kind of turret to replace the head of the Aegis Tank, an experimental laser cannon for assertion to commanders who are into the whole advanced laser grid systems and all that stuff."

"Along with a powerful and new artillery platform, that we call the Trident. Which is meant to fire a salvo of concentrated rockets onto the enemy from a great distance."

Martin looks to Gyro, Boomer and Clover. "So, what do you guys think?"

The trio are shocked out of their minds. "Dude. Those sound awesome, and I thought the world from where the War of the Three Power was intensely cool with their tech" replied Boomer. "Damn."

Gyro then looks to each one. "Impressive and useful. This will work for the new faction, this will work."

Clover smirks. "Yup, a bit better than the technology weapons testing at Atlas, almost."

Victor looks to him. "Almost?" They all chuckle hearing that and continue going through more of the advanced weapons.

Gyro looks around. "By the way, where the heck is G.L.A.D.I.S anyway? I haven't even seen her when we came in."

"She's running some maintenance on a new weapon we plan to make" replied Martin. "We call it the particle cannon array." He then goes back to his work on why the Railgun head blew up.

Clover and Boomer look to Martin. "What?"
