X-Men: Apophis' Revenge: A Harry Potter/X-Men Crossover Fanfiction
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of its associated characters: all rights belong to JK Rowling. I do not own X-Men or any of its associated characters: all rights belong to Marvel. I do not own any other crossover references used in the story: all rights belong to their original creators. I do own any OC spells explained at the end of a chapter.
Plot: Apocalypse sought the most-powerful mutants. What he got was not a mutant, but still a God among insects waiting to rise up and take his rightful place in this world. Now, Apocalypse has fallen, but his Chosen One has not.
Author's Note: So, not like it needs explaining, but this story is going to be set during and after X-Men: Apocalypse, but the events of Dark Phoenix will not feature in the adventure. Instead, I have my own plan for what comes next that not only involves HP events, but the addition of a certain someone I REALLY wish was in the X-verse.
Anyway, I hope people will enjoy this adventure.
And, as always, if you don't like it, don't read it.

Chapter 1: Their End, His Beginning
"I want you…to feel the full reach of your powers…"
Psylocke didn't know how this strange mutant, with powers far greater and more-dangerous than any other who'd come before him, was doing whatever he was doing to her, but, as she felt the full extent of her powers being made available to her, she also felt a sense of euphoria, mixed with a strong, keen desire to stay by the side of this mutant, aiding him in his claiming of the greatest powers and strongest of mutants.
And, fortunately for him…
"I think I might know where to find what you're looking for…"
Even as Psylocke gave this mutant what he wanted, she only hoped she would prove herself worthy of not only siding with such great power.
But also, keeping it…
Apophis' Revenge
Even though Psylocke had met teleporters before, as well as mutants who could shift between dimensions or move from one space to another through different means, she didn't think she would ever get used to the weird, oddly-comforting way that her new leader, En Sabah Nur, took them from Caliban's base of operations to the first spot where she hoped to give him what he wanted.
As the purplish-coloured energy of En Sabah Nur's energy dissipated again, Psylocke cleared her throat as she explained, "Caliban picked up on an energy trace from this location several years ago: since then, he's had his psychics keeping tabs on it, especially since he says it's unlike any sort of mutant power he's detected before."
En Sabah Nur only growled in response, even as the three of them – Psylocke, En Sabah Nur and the white-haired, dark-skinned mutant known only as Storm – looked up at the location that Psylocke had passed onto her new leader.
At first, it looked like nothing more than an ordinary-looking house on another dull, ordinary-looking street in some quiet, inconsequential little corner of the world that nobody would think twice of looking at when they saw it. The houses looked the same, the gardens looked the same, even the cars on the driveway looked the same: dull, boring, repetitive, unimportant.
And yet, as Psylocke pointed to one house in particular, she felt a chill run down her spine when she saw a cold, almost-hungry smile cross En Sabah Nur's face as she told him, "There; that was the last-known location of this enigma. Whoever or whatever is causing it, Caliban says it's more powerful than any mutant…present company excluded."
"It looks like just another house," argued Storm, earning a snort of amusement from En Sabah Nur.
"Appearances can be deceiving, my Goddess; I can sense the power within this domicile…such great strength, untapped…ignored…squashed down. The humans who live here and call this place home. They would rather see that power lost to the world…but I will set it free…"
"Then perhaps we'd better get inside and fast before someone notices us," suggested Psylocke.
As soon as she said it, however, the purple-haired mutant gasped when Storm's eyes seemed to turn ghostly-white; seconds later, a thick, cloying mist rolled in, completely-obscuring their presence from anyone stupid enough to peek through their curtains. While En Sabah Nur didn't seem too fazed by his companion's sudden move, Storm shrugged at Psylocke's questioning look, even as their leader crossed the street, walking up the driveway as though he was a normal being.
Which, of course, he wasn't.
Once he reached the door, the bluish-skinned mutant master drew out his own power, using it to disintegrate the door before he stepped inside, ignoring the sense of normality and ignorance that seemed to cling to the walls, in favour of his target, which lay dead ahead.
A small cupboard, much smaller than the cocooned prison that En Sabah Nur had been confined to for thousands of years, and just as uncomfortable to look at: it was here that the power was emanating from and, as he drew closer to the source of that power, En Sabah Nur's eyes narrowed as he felt a ripple of otherworldly power that, just as Psylocke had said, was not mutant in origin.
And yet, it was almost as powerful as En Sabah Nur himself…and young too.
Very young, in fact.
Barely even a child, more a toddler, who, as En Sabah Nur felt the power emanating from the child, he also felt something reach out to him before, to his surprise, a soft voice whimpered.
"Please…no hurt me…please?"
Letting out a growl at how such great power had been beaten down as easily as one of the slaves who'd worshipped him back in the time of his rising, En Sabah Nur easily disintegrated the door to the cupboard before, bending down, he picked up a very small child, who whimpered again, even as En Sabah Nur addressed him.
"Do not fear me, my son; I am here to set you free from your gaolers; they would see you beaten down and weakened, but I want to see you rise higher and farther than all others like you. All you have to do is say yes…and you will be a Prince among Mortals…a Child-God of this new world…"
"Son?"
The fact that the one word was the only part that the infant seemed to understand both amused and annoyed En Sabah Nur, but he kept his cool as he responded to the little one's query. "Indeed, my child; you are all my children, though you are different from the others. Greater…stronger…and more than any mutant."
"Are you my Daddy, sir?"
Again, the naivety of the child both amused and annoyed the mutant master; however, as he looked into the boy's emerald-green eyes, something stirred in En Sabah Nur that, if he was being honest with himself, he had never really considered, mostly because of his habit of body jumping from one mutant to the next and absorbing new, greater power along the way.
He didn't know how, but something inside of his ancient spirit told him that if he tried that with this child, it would only lead to his destruction.
However, if he kept the child close, nurtured his power, gave him the keys to a greater kingdom than any of his previous lives…
Yes, the child would make a fine heir, maybe even the bridge between mutants and whatever world of power the little one came from.
A world this child would rule in En Sabah Nur's stead.
"Yes, my son," growled the master, his eyes turning milky-white, even as he told the infant, "I am your Father…and now, I want to give you a gift; the strength to be the master of your powers…and the knowledge to know the difference between innocence and dominance…"
To En Sabah Nur's surprise, the boy's own green eyes suddenly flashed an eerie, but illuminating shade of gold as he looked into the eyes of the eternal being he would now call Father. At the same time, En Sabah Nur watched as his augmentation of the child's mind and mystic might seemed to heal the little one's body, making him grow several inches before he looked up at En Sabah Nur not with curiosity, but a new, greater feeling.
Pride.
Homage.
Even hero-worship.
All of which he showed as he blinked several times before, in a voice that definitely betrayed his juvenile, three-year-old state, the boy spoke to En Sabah Nur in a voice layered with sheer force of will and pride.
"Father, tell me: what can I do? I am ready to serve you."
Nobody, not even the child knew it that day, but that was the day that little Harry James Potter's fate was changed…forever!
In ways that no witch, wizard or mutant was going to find enjoyable…
Brr, talk about a WEIRD beginning, not to mention chilling, but now our little one has been 'evolved' with help from his new 'Father' we have to ask ourselves: will either world survive his fury or his power?
Also, will our little heir of the end have any sort of long-term effects on the events that follow Apocalypse's recruitment of Storm and Psylocke, especially his inevitable encounter with the X-Men?
