A/N: Hello, all. Have you all wondered what would happen if GT went in another direction to help it become more famous and last longer? Well, this is the first saga in a what-if series that starts where Goku and the others make a discovery about Dr. Myuu on Planet M2 and the cast will be as follows (and I expect you'll be quite surprised): Colleen Clinkenbeard as Goku (Kid) Sean Schemmel as Goku (Adult)/Super Saiyan 4 Goku, Eric Vale as Trunks, Elise Baughman as Pan, Sonny Strait as Giru, Vic Mignogna as Broly, Dameon Clarke as Paragus, Christopher R. Sabat as Vegeta/Piccolo, Robert McCollum as Goten, Kara Edwards as Videl, Kyle Hebert as Gohan, Cynthia Cranz as Chi-Chi, and Luci Christian as Bulla. There is also a special guest appearing straight from the DB Super Manga, and I trust you'll be quite surprised to know who he is. And before we go any further, keep in mind that this version is assuming that GT became canon with the events of Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' included, along with some events from my version of the Universe Survival Saga, not including Broly's participation because of a slight alteration to his origins (if it doesn't make any sense, I'd suggest reading the Universe Survival Saga story first). Enjoy. :)
Dragon Ball Super GT Alternate
The Legendary Super Saiyan Saga
"The Saiyan Secret"
Act I
First, it showed Giru unexpectedly launching a mini rocket at Dr. Myuu's pod, much to the doctor's shock before a saw blade headed for the encased Goku slowed to a halt, much to his anger.
Narrator: "Previously on 'Dragon Ball Super GT'! Giru's quick-thinking had managed to saved Goku from a gruesome fate."
"How dare you betray me when I am your creator?!", Dr. Myuu shouted.
"Betray?! Giru. Goku, Pan, Trunks, friends. All good friends! Dr. Myuu no friend of Giru! No friend! Enemy! Giru.", Giru responded.
"Wh-what...?!", Dr. Myuu puzzled in shock before then later showing what appeared to be the encased falling down to the ground as the doctor exclaimed in shock right before he shattered upon impact, making Pan gasp in shock while covering her eyes before Trunks shouted while on top of the stairs nearby.
"I'm all right! I'm up here, see?", Trunks assured while walking down the stairs much to Pan's joyful surprise as she then ran closer to Trunks, who jumped down the stairs and joined Goku, Pan, and Giru, who caught up.
"Everything happened up to now was planned by Giru and me.", Trunks stated.
"Wh-WHAAAAAA?!", Pan exclaimed before turning toward Giru with a glare and growling before grabbing him angrily only to give a warm grin right afterwards.
"Oh, Giru.", Pan grinned as she hugged him before it showed Dr. Myuu retreating up the stairs only for Trunks to notice, fly up to stop him before he can get there, and halt him.
Narrator: "As everyone celebrated the victory, Dr. Myuu made a break to try and stop his most valued secret from being exposed, but Trunks was one step ahead."
"Goku, Pan, Giru, why don't the three of you come on up there? I think our Dr. Myuu has a little secret he'd like to reveal to us.", Trunks spoke.
"A secret?", Goku puzzled before Trunks went for the panel and pressed a button, much to the doctor's behest.
"Ah, stop! Please, don't open that!", Dr. Myuu shouted before the doors started to open, revealing inside a secret room with naught but a catwalk leading to a sort of capsule at the center of the room as an unknown being was inside it.
Narrator: "Behind this door lies a mystery so dark, that even Trunks had to deceive his closest friends for it to be discovered. The mystery is revealed, now!"
The door has opened up to show a hidden capsule inside as it pulsated with Goku, Pan, and Giru catching up to notice, much to their surprise, a being with light skin, wavy green hair, both eyes closed for the moment, and what appears to be a buckled leather eyepatch with a dial over his right eye. As for his attire, it was quite similar to that of a full-body swimsuit, but metallic gray.
"Stop it! Don't get any closer!", Dr. Myuu shouted, trying to stop Goku and Pan from getting any closer, but to no avail.
"Granolah! Granolah! I'm sorry.", Dr. Myuu apologized before the capsule pulsated again, giving off bubbles.
"Please forgive me for allowing them to see you!", Dr. Myuu continued before Granolah's beating got faster.
"I didn't want to expose you to the eyes of such filthy creatures before you successfully stabilized!", Dr. Myuu assured.
Needless to say, Goku and Pan were shocked while Trunks caught up and Dr. Myuu continued making his way to Granolah.
"I'm sorry, Granolah! I know how long you've been waiting, how confused you must be in there!", Dr. Myuu continued.
"Uh, who's that guy in the water?", Goku puzzled.
"He looks like some kind of experiment.", Pan added.
"You're close, Pan. He's called Granolah; a Cerealian in the middle of being turned into an android by Dr. Myuu, only he also applied a tactical method not given to any other robot on this planet. When he's fully finished with the firmware, his power could surpass us all, maybe even before then if he figures out how to read our moves while under his control. There's still a lot of questions we don't have answers for.", Trunks responded as Granolah's heart continued beating with the capsule pulsating with each heartbeat.
"You've got to be kidding. Can he really get that powerful?", Goku asked.
"Bah! How did a bunch of rotten Saiyans like them learn the secret of Granolah?!", Dr. Myuu exclaimed.
"Even among robots, rumors can spread like fire. Right, Giru?", Trunks asked, turning to the little robot.
"Giru heard story. Dr. Myuu get greater Machine Mutant. When Granolah is fully functional, all other robots to be dismantled! Giru. Giru.", Giru responded.
"What?", Dr. Myuu puzzled.
"When Giru told me this, I had him show me where the main computer was and I shut it off. It's over.", Trunks discouraged before Dr. Myuu grunted in frustration and placed his hands on Granolah's capsule.
"But… How could he do this?!", Dr. Myuu exclaimed before rushing over to the control panel for Granolah's capsule and trying to turn it back on.
"Oh, Granolah! My beautiful creation! Please, wake up! Please, don't die! Granolah!", Dr. Myuu shouted before a water spout erupted, taking Goku aback slightly while Pan got worried, of course none more so than Dr. Myuu, much less panicked.
"What did you do to Granolah?! YOU ANIMAAAAAAL!", Dr. Myuu shouted while turning toward Trunks, Goku, Pan, and Giru.
"Simple. I rerouted his life support into the unit's plumbing system.", Trunks explained, really frightening Dr. Myuu somewhat before then continuing his efforts to try and keep his project alive as what appeared to be a comet passed by and exploded, astonishing Goku.
"Your android will stop functioning soon and then, we'll be safe. He'd rather die than be your puppet anyway.", Trunks spoke as another comet appeared, this time behind Trunks with several more appearing with Dr. Myuu growing intensely anxious.
"No…! You can't…! I won't allow you to die on me! Granolah!", Dr. Myuu shouted as he tapped the keys on the panel, which opened a compartment to show two holes big enough for his hands to fit through, enabling him to place his hands on a sort of board, which not only lit up translucently, also started working on a manual override as the doctor roared.
"If I can find the internal power switch, I… I can still redirect the power in time to save him!", Dr. Myuu stated as one last comet landed on the area and dimmed away.
"Just like Rilldo said, Dr. Myuu's sole aim is to control the entire universe.", Trunks responded.
"If he wants a whole universe, then he had those beady little eyes set on the earth, too.", Pan stated.
"Of course, he did.", Trunks responded.
"Who does this guy think he is?", Pan asked.
"He's just like every other villain out there, Pan.", Goku responded.
"Right. He's greedy. That's why while he continued with the research on Granolah, he began mobilizing the older models of robots on this planet using a military style of control. It's all practice for the day he finally takes over the universe.", Trunks responded.
"Giru and robots forced to do bad things. Bad things.", Giru spoke sadly.
"Yeah, but if it wasn't for you, Giru, Dr. Myuu might've taken over the universe. I think that shows a pretty healthy good side, eh?", Pan assured.
"Is that true?", Giru asked before Pan nodded.
"You're my hero.", Pan responded.
"Giru have much concern over homeland and Dr. Myuu. Concerned over bad stories. Memory was changed. Then made new friends.", Giru added.
"When we found Giru in the desert, an abnormality in his data was activated, probably due to the shock of his journey. He experienced what we referred to as a loss of memory or amnesia.", Trunks responded.
"So, he really is a defective little robot.", Pan smirked.
"What?", Giru puzzled.
"I'm just kidding, Giru.", Pan smirked in response.
"And when we drifted close to his planet, the abnormality repaired itself and his memory started working again.", Trunks added as another comet landed.
"Giru told Trunks everything and Trunks help Giru. Giru.", Giru added before it then showed a flashback of the encased Trunks when Giru appeared via transmission and then walking up to him when he heard a door opened, making him freeze in his tracks before he ran and as the guard checked on Trunks.
"Doesn't look so tough to Bot K-58.", Bot K-58 commented as Giru watched nervously with Bot K-58 then punching the encased metal of Trunks, only for it to be ineffective.
"Eh, whatever.", the guard spoke before walking away, giving Giru some relief.
When the coast was clear, Giru got close to Trunks, got out his wand and then used it to free Trunks from the encasement of metal.
"Trunks, Trunks!", Giru shouted joyfully before Trunks stood up while cradling Giru.
"Giru, you did a nice job. Now, where's that Granolah?", Trunks asked.
"Giru could not find, but Giru did locate Dr. Myuu's hidden laboratory. Giru.", Giru responded.
"Even better. That way, we can stop this problem at the source. How do we get there?", Trunk asked just before a counterfeit copy of the encased Trunks before the real one went over to it.
"Hey. What a handsome, young devil.", Trunks grinned before gently knocking on it.
"Giru. Giru.", Giru spoke before he and Trunks laughed together.
Then, it flashed back to the present with Granolah seemingly nearing his inevitable shutdown.
"It's good we found this before he was finished with it. I wouldn't have wanted to stare him down.", Trunks spoke with Dr. Myuu still trying his best efforts to keep his android alive.
"How could anybody even think to turn someone like him into such a horrifying being? But you have to recognize the genius it takes to consider an idea so radical.", Trunks commented as Dr. Myuu whimpered a bit before lashing out angrily.
"YOU FOOLS! WHAT HAVE YOU DOOOOOOONE?!", Dr. Myuu shouted before the last energy comet then headed straight for the top of the chamber, made contact, and lit up with Pan squinting her eyes.
"NO! YOU CAN'T DIE ON MEEEEEEEEEEE!", Dr. Myuu shouted before the light dimmed down.
When it did, the doctor fell flat on the right side of his face, riddled with slight despair, although refusing to give up hope for his ambitions.
"My…life's work. Blown away, disintegrated in an instant…! You cannot die, Granolah. Remember all that we were trying to achieve! Think about yourself, your life! What you will be when you fully awaken as a machine mutant! Remember the power given to you through the sacrifice of Luud! Remember, you are made of the universe! Energies from all across it pulse through your body, giving you life! This power is greater than any the universe has ever known! Do you understand?! That means the universe is yours for the taking! Live, Granolah! Please! You're my only worthy creation! MY ONLY!", Dr. Myuu shouted while placing his hand against the glass on the panel before tightening his hand into a fist and smashing it against the glass, breaking it before breaking down on his knees.
"Don't leave me… Please, don't leave me…", Dr. Myuu begged as Granolah now appeared unresponsive.
Act II
Dr. Myuu was feeling quite weighed down with despair as the trio approached near him.
"I'm, uh… I'm kinda feeling sorry for him.", Pan responded.
"It's too bad. I really wish I could've fought him just once.", Goku commented before Trunks halted Goku by the shoulders, surprising him.
"Goku! Do me a favor and please try to stay focused.", Trunks requested.
"Hehe. But I am focused.", Goku responded.
"I guess you're right.", Trunks grinned before Goku stepped closer.
"What do you think? Has this guy stopped functioning yet?", Goku asked, pointing to Granolah before then going over to his capsule and crawling around it, much to Trunks and Pan's slight disdain.
"Wow, look at that. Impressive. He can't turn his power back on for just a little bit?", Goku asked casually.
"Oh, Grandpa…", Pan sighed as she and Trunks placed their hands on their foreheads.
"Goku, please.", Trunks added while Dr. Myuu was growing very angry.
"You…! Don't you dare put your hands on Granolah's capsule! You disgusting, vile Saiyan!", Dr. Myuu shouted before Granolah suddenly turned and opened his eyes, a left blank dark green eye and a right red eye, shocking Dr. Myuu.
"Granolah…!", Dr. Myuu spoke in shock before backing away just as Granolah started to power up, making Goku slip down and fall off the capsule, landing on his head.
"What happened?", Goku puzzled before Granolah's power continued to increase as lightning was emitted from him, escaping from the capsule itself as Giru shook in fear.
"Danger! Danger! Run! Get away! Get away! Run! Danger!", Giru shouted in worry as Goku, Dr. Myuu, Trunks, and Pan grew surprised in their own way with Giru then getting away from the capsule.
"Live, Granolah! Granolah, my greatest creation!", Dr. Myuu praised, thankful that he's still alive before a bright light shone and dimmed slightly as Pan shielded her eyes before then becoming shocked to discover that Granolah's starting to awaken and break free as his aura developed along with a red plasma aura with Giru trying to flee, although unable to as Pan held onto him.
"That's impossible.", Trunks spoke in shock.
"Trunks, how is this all happening?", Pan puzzled.
"Wow. I guess Granolah's not finished after all.", Goku responded.
"I-I don't get it. His breathing apparatus and computer should be offline by now.", Trunks spoke in shock as Granolah's capsule started to crack from the pressure of his energy little by little.
"Oh, Granolah, I'm so happy! I knew you couldn't die that easily, Granolah. Your power is too deep in your new circuits. And now, you can show everyone what you're truly capable of!", Dr. Myuu shouted jubilantly.
"I can't… I mean, it's… Whoa.", Trunks spoke up, speechless about what's going on before the capsule started to crack more and more as Granolah bellowed, suffering from the pressure of his ever-growing energy.
"His energy's climbing higher. Be careful.", Goku warned, puzzling Trunks.
"That guy is giving me the creeps!", Pan commented as she still held on to Giru.
"Well, whatever he has up his sleeve, I'm ready.", Goku smirked.
"I don't want to die! I don't want to die! Run! Run!", Giru panicked.
"Giru, don't start panicking.", Pan urged before Granolah then roared as his red aura finally broke the capsule in an explosion which sent Goku, Trunks, and Pan (with Giru in tow) crashing toward each part of a wall, even breaking through several parts of Dr. Myuu's castle as well.
Even Dr. Myuu was damaged by Granolah's awakening as his body was damaged in his arms, legs, and head with one of his eyes actually shown as Dr. Myuu collapsed with Granolah stepping forward as Goku recovered and had better focus on his vision before the smoke cleared to show Granolah kneeling on one leg for support, urging Goku to be on his guard before Granolah then stood back up completely, his red aura completely vibrant and present.

"Pan, Trunks, Giru, get ready!", Goku urged before Pan looked up and determinedly agreed with Trunks having the same look as well as Granolah stepped forward, giving off a red spark of energy with each step.
"Incredible…!", Goku spoke in awe.
"And he's not even fully developed as an android yet.", Trunks added in wonder before Dr. Myuu stood back up.
"That's right! You must become strong, Granolah. You must rise up and destroy those who have disturbed you! Kill the Saiyans! Make them pay for dishonoring you! Use them as target practice if you wish! It may even be the best way to steel yourself against even the Legendary Super Saiyan himself!", Dr. Myuu shouted to Granolah, who stopped and then scanned Goku, Pan, and Trunks before turning back to Dr. Myuu.
"Those are the Saiyans, right?", Granolah asked.
"That's right, Granolah. The Saiyans. Kill the Saiyans!", Dr. Myuu responded before Granolah then looked up toward Goku, who then noticed him, before Granolah gave a glare and then ascended into the air with Goku giving a serious look.
"You die today…, Saiyan.", Granolah spoke before Goku then shouted.
"Pan, Trunks, now!", Goku shouted while getting off the hole with Pan and Trunks doing the same before the trio then fired energy blasts at Granolah, who then created an energy barrier to try to shield himself from the assault.
But because he hasn't fully developed yet, the blasts quickly penetrated the barrier and hit him in several areas of his body, seemingly destroying him in a spectacular display, much to Dr. Myuu's dismay as Granolah landed onto the ground.

But the thing that was really surprising was that Granolah did, in fact, survive, but was suffering a headache of sorts. It got worse to the point that he gave a scream before his left blank eye then got a black pupil in the left dark green eye while his red eye still had no pupil in it at all before his scream stopped, replaced with seemingly exhausted pants.
"No…! Granolah…!", Dr. Myuu spoke in shock.
"So, is he still after us?", Pan asked.
"Danger has passed.", Giru responded.
"You…! You turned me into an android. And now…, now, you tried to control me…!", Granolah glared, turning toward Dr. Myuu, who now became fearful.
"No…! Granolah…! What do you think you're doing?!", Dr. Myuu panicked.
"Something I should've done a long time ago.", Granolah responded before vanishing and reappearing with his fist breaking right through Dr. Myuu's chest, surprising Goku, Trunks, and Pan.
"That was for turning me into your slave. If I am going to kill these Saiyans, I'll do that of my own free will.", Granolah spoke.
"Ah… Now, I understand the true nature of a Saiyan…!", Dr. Myuu spoke weakly before falling limp after Granolah removed his fist form his chest, revealing a hole, before Granolah then turned to Goku and the others.
"Well? Are you going to collect the rest of those dragon balls or what?", Granolah asked, puzzling Goku and the others.
"But… how'd you know that?", Goku asked.
"Your little robot friend's data on you three may have something to do with it. That info was recorded along with your fighting skills.", Granolah responded.
"If you know all that, then why are you letting us go if you want to get rid of us?", Trunks puzzled.
"Because… I've waited a long time to take revenge against Frieza, or if not him, then against the next best thing: the Saiyans.", Granolah responded as he pressed a button on Dr. Myuu's chest, causing the water to light up before the lights then went into 6 apparent panels, surprising Goku before said panels went up, surprising Trunks and Pan as well.
"And if allowing you 3 to collect the rest of the dragon balls and return them to earth means waiting a little longer, that's fine by me.", Granolah responded before he started walking toward the ship.
"Granolah, wait. Earlier, Dr. Myuu said something about the Legendary Super Saiyan. Do you know what that's about?", Goku asked.
"Don't know, don't care.", Granolah only responded before Granolah continued toward the spaceship.
"Come on, don't be like that.", Goku responded before Granolah only went inside the spaceship and the spaceship panels then close, sealing him inside.
From there, Granolah then placed his arms through the two hole slots Dr. Myuu used earlier, accessing the ship before a hologram of the current location is now shown.
"Set a course for Planet Cereal.", Granolah spoke before the spaceship started to take off and leave Planet M2.
"I don't know who to worry about now. Granolah or this so-called Legendary Super Saiyan that Dr. Myuu mentioned.", Trunks responded.
"Yeah, same here. But you know what? I'm getting excited just thinking about how strong they'll be.", Goku grinned.
"Grandpa, remind me to get you some help when this is over.", Pan sighed.
"Well, at least Dr. Myuu's gone and without him, Granolah won't be as much trouble until he decides to fight us one of these days, so the best thing to do for now is to get the rest of the dragon balls and return them back to earth and then we can train to prepare for the day when he comes after us.", Trunks responded.
"You're right. But… what about our ship? How are we gonna fix it?", Pan asked in worry.
"That's no problem.", Trunks assured.
"Giru fix ship well. Back to normal.", Giru assured, getting out the same wand he used to free Goku, Trunks, and Pan before.
"How convenient. You're…quite the handyman.", Pan grinned before giving a slight giggle.
Meanwhile, though, as the spaceship with Granolah was passing over, another one was near by as alien soldiers, brandished in armor, most notably, the blue helmets with dark red see-through glass, although masking on once side, were noticing the other spaceship.
"What's the doctor's spaceship doing out here? Magnify the image.", the alien soldier spoke.
"On it, sir.", another responded before the image magnified and then showed inside, Granolah.
"Well, well, well. The doctor's little pet project is up and out, but I don't see the doctor anywhere. Should we board the ship?", the soldier spoke.
"No, that won't be necessary.", a voice rang out.
When the source of the voice entered, it was revealed to be a Saiyan, whose battle armor vaguely resembled that of Goku's Yardrat clothes from when he visited the planet after defeating Frieza with a white-collared cape that touches the ground and covers the right half of his body.
"But, Lord Paragus…", the soldier began.
"Easy, Angol. If only Granolah is there, then we can only assume that he's been done in. Of course, that's to be expected when you try to turn someone into an android, let alone a machine mutant. No matter the programming, if you force it on them, you force that fate on yourself as well, not that I ever did like the doctor.", Paragus responded.
"I see. Of course.", Angol responded.
"And besides, I have different targets in mind. While I go with my son there, you just make sure to scope out any more information on how Granolah was able to break free of Dr. Myuu's control, see who else was responsible. If there are anymore, get as much data from them as you can so we'll know who we're up against.", Paragus responded.
"Yes, sir.", Angol saluted in response.
Sometime later, one of the galaxies in the universe suddenly fell into disarray as it completely blackened from the center until it was completely destroyed before it showed King Kai looking on in horror.
Narrator: "After being turned into an android, Granolah destroyed Dr. Myuu and made a quick escape. But the worst of the Saiyans' troubles are far from over…"
"No… No! It's all gone!", King Kai thought as Bubbles moved around King Kai before looking back to him.
"Just as I feared. We've got to do something! Our galaxy's next!", King Kai urged.
A/N: Yep. And that's where the adventure really starts. Pretty cool, huh? And Granolah's appearance is really surprising, huh? This time around, Liam O'Brien voices Granolah. And now that the events from "Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan" are starting to take place, things are sure to get interesting from here on out. :)
