Chapter 74
-oOo-
July 11, 1998
Winterton-on-Sea, England
Luna was on the beach looking out towards the North Sea. A few Muggle cargo ships could be seen in the distance. She was more interested in the sinewy form that was closer to shore today. The long green sea serpent had been playing in the waves for the last fifteen or twenty minutes, and she was getting to work on her third sketch.
She would love to have Harry fly out there with her, but she had to stay presentable today.
"Luna, luv, come on," Lily called out, her voice just barely reaching her with the wind coming on shore. She grabbed her pencils, stuffed the paper into her satchel, and turned to see Calla in a nice yellow dress and cardigan running after something that was flying in the wind.
Her little sister was three-and-a-half now. Her long sandy coloured hair blew behind her, as Remus looked on with an amused smile. In his arms was the now eight-month old girl that had been born just before Christmas last year. Primrose Lupin looked just like Lily already. She had the brighter green eyes and dark red hair of her mother.
Luna was happy to see the colours of the family were pleasant. For more than two years now, she hadn't seen any hints of the Shadow. His taint was fully and truly gone. In that time, she had only made one other prophecy. It appeared the Fates had calmed too. She could now be around most people without being overwhelmed. Today might be a little challenging with so many in a small space, but her family and her betroths would be here.
Calla gave out a pleasant squeal as Luna chased after her. Lily shook her head. "Don't get all messy. The wedding is starting in just about an hour."
"Mess. Mess. Mess. Mess," Calla started to chant.
Luna laughed with her, agreeing that being messy was not a bad thing. Someday Astoria would agree with her. Luna grabbed Calla anyways and lifted her as Calla laughed. "Luna, can we go swim later?"
"I didn't pack your swim stuff," Remus told his older daughter.
"We can use our knickers," Luna told Calla.
Lily shook her head. "Luna, don't encourage her."
Luna shrugged. She had gone swimming with Harry and Astoria the other day in less. They walked through the sand path in the grassy dunes to a large pavilion that was set up next to a small manor. It was a popular place for the magical world to hold celebrations like this. A small town was about a half-mile away and it was guarded against Muggles on a nature preserve.
"Why were you out here? You should have been getting ready with the rest of them an hour ago," Lily told her.
"Oh, I forgot. I came out to take a quick walk and saw some faeries, then a sandcrawler, and then the sea serpent," she told Lily.
"Here, give me Calla and then go inside. I'm sure Hermione is going mental."
"I am sure she will be alright," Luna told her before skipping off towards the small mansion.
"LUNA! Where have you been," Astoria greeted her inside the doors. "Oh, your hair is a mess! What happened to it?"
"I was outside by the beach," she told her Aster.
"Come on."
Luna looked at Astoria in the nice lavender dress she had on. It highlighted and hugged her body in a very pleasant way. Her hair was also up and had all sorts of little flowers in it. "You look very beautiful," she told Astoria.
Astoria shook her head. "Tell me later. Right now, you are going to sit on that stool."
"Oh, thank god you found her," Hermione said, standing up as her mum tried to do something with the shift she was wearing. Hermione's hair was extra curly today with a tiara on top of her head and very nicely applied makeup. She was going to be a beautiful bride shortly.
"I'm sorry, Hermione, I need to get Luna ready," Astoria told their friend.
"Go. Daphne, Madam Longbottom and my mum have it."
"You stay still," Astoria commanded.
"But I have these drawings left to finish," Luna complained as Astoria started to work on her hair.
"Later. This is Hermione's day."
"And Hermione will be very beautiful for Neville," Luna countered.
Hermione gave a nervous laugh. "Oh, god, I think I'm going to be sick," Hermione muttered as she moved off to the bathroom.
Astoria stopped for a moment and looked at her. "She isn't?"
Luna looked at Astoria questioningly. "I think she is just nervous," Luna answered.
"Right. Now let me work," Astoria ordered.
"Let me help," Daphne offered, coming over to them.
This was a busy summer. Daphne and Viktor had been married a few weeks ago. Today Neville and Hermione would be. Luna smiled to think of their own wedding to happen in about a month from now.
"What are you smirking at?" Astoria asked with a laugh, as she had Luna slip out of the summer dress she had been wearing.
"You will be Lady Potter in about a month," she told Astoria.
"And you will be too," Astoria shot back.
"It still feels odd somedays to think of myself as Lady Krum," Daphne put in.
Hermione came back into the room. "I don't think I'm ready to be Lady Longbottom."
"To late for that, dear. Not unless you don't want my grandson," Madam Longbottom challenged.
"I never said that, Augusta. I very much want to marry Neville," Hermione replied.
"Good. I want you as my granddaughter. I only wish Frank and Alice could be here to see this," the woman said in a sad voice.
"I know Neville would have liked that too," she said, before the two women hugged.
"Do you have all your nerves out of you now? I don't want you getting sick all over your dress," Mrs. Granger put to Hermione.
Hermione let out a long breath. "I am ready."
Luna watched as Hermione was slipped into her dress as Astoria did the same for her. Astoria was going to be the maid-of-honour, while Luna and Daphne were part of her party. Harry would be Neville's man-of-honour, while Ron and Victor would be the others. Since the downfall of Voldemort, Ron and Neville had become good friends again.
In a month, Hermione and Daphne would stand in as their matrons-of-honour while Neville stood beside Harry. Today was Hermione's day though and she would be very happy for that.
Luna walked down the aisle after Daphne. She would be walking besides Harry, as would Astoria, when they left. Hermione had insisted that they not be separated, even if it wasn't tradition.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the bright pink of the marriage bond from all those gathered was very telling of the love they shared. As Harry pulled up, Astoria took his right hand and she, his left. It didn't matter what side they took. They would both be equal with Astoria's eighteen-month-old brother being the declared Greengrass heir now.
Cygnus Anders Greengrass looked much like all the other Greengrasses: dark hair, dark eyes, a smaller nose. Astoria loved her brother, and loved the fact that they lived in her family's manor so he could grow up with them.
It was such a nice day. Neville got a large piece of cake into his face as Hermione laughed and tried to step back, just to get the piece he was holding jammed into her neck and collar. It was quite humorous, and Luna was thinking if smearing cake on her Aster and Raven might be tasty when they kissed. That was a thought she was going to have to follow up on soon. The thought of Astoria with chocolate icing that needed to be licked off... or Harry's shaft before her lips with a dollop of buttercream... maybe if she put some on her folds with Harry's head between her legs and Astoria over her mouth...
"Luna," Harry whispered into her ear.
A smile came over her face. She was feeling randy just thinking about it and his voice just added to her need. "Yes, my Raven."
He chuckled. "Do you need to get out of here? You look a little far away."
"I would like to dance first," she told him. Astoria was dancing with her father at the moment.
"Sure. If you look any more spacy, we are going to go," he told her.
Harry still cared for her as much as ever. She did have to admit that being around so many people may be getting a bit much, but she was enjoying this, as was everyone else.
This was the life she had wanted for Harry, and then Astoria, and now all her family.
What was going to be one dance in the arms of her man, turned into more as Neville danced with her, then she shared one with Astoria, then Anders, who didn't want any of his daughters to feel left out, her daddy, then Remus, who felt the same. Finally, she was in a loose huddle with her two loves.
"Are you ready to be married?" Harry asked them.
"You try and back out and I will hunt you down," Astoria warned.
"Why would I ever run from you?" Harry asked with a laugh.
"I heard Neville almost took off today," she replied.
Harry laughed again. "He forgot his father's cufflinks, and we had one of his elves get them. He was never running on Hermione."
"Harry loves us too much to do that," Luna tried to soothe Astoria.
"I know."
"They are going to be leaving soon. I think we should head back home, once they do," Harry told them.
Being so close to both of them she didn't get the distractions from everyone else around them.
"Sounds good. I want to get a good night's sleep. We have the final meal choices with mother tomorrow."
Harry groaned. "I really don't care."
"I want a corned beef sandwich and sticky toffee pudding," Luna told them.
Astoria sighed. "You know mother said that is not a typical meal for a wedding."
"If Luna wants corn beef, she gets corned beef," Harry replied.
"You can convince mother then," Astoria told him.
"Or I just make sure Luna gets what she wants, even if no one else gets it," Harry offered.
Luna wrapped both arms around him and Astoria kissed him. "I'll let her know Luna is getting a corned beef sandwich. I am partial to the lamb and chicken."
"Whatever you want to give me, I'll eat it," Harry assured her. "I'll be there if you need me tomorrow."
Astoria shook her head. "I have it. I know father was hoping to talk with you about the Wizengamot meet this week. He wants to get you acknowledged so you can take your seats at the Autumnal Equinox. Luna, you should be there with me too."
"Is he still planning to announce he is stepping down as Minister at the Equinox?"
"Yeah. He wants to put Lord Abbot up as his replacement. Otherwise, Head Verne of the Department of the Control of Magical Creatures," Astoria replied.
Harry nodded. "I'm glad I have been able to shadow your father the last two years. I would have had no idea what to really do on the Wizengamot without that."
Luna hugged him tighter. They had not decided to go back to Hogwarts as full-time students after the Blood Laws had been changed. Lily and Remus had stayed on as Professors though, while they attended some classes as guests, and most others by private tutors arranged by Illiana.
After getting their NEWTS last year, Harry was the only one going back to Hogwarts. He was working on his apprenticeship with Professor Babbling to get his Mastery in Runes and Ancient Magics.
Astoria had been with Harry much of the time, shadowing him so that she could take either or both Potter seats when needed. She had also been working with her mother to understand how to run the Greengrass House and work more with the family's business. Her Aster was finding herself very much liking the business side of her family, while Daphne was full heartedly taking up the newly-created Krum seat on the Wizengamot while her husband continued to play Quidditch.
Luna had spent much of her time digging into her love of creatures. She was working on her own Mastery through the Adventurers Club. She had been on a few new expeditions with her daddy, or Harry and Astoria. Luna enjoyed being out where many people didn't go. There were usually no stray visions.
"I will go with you tomorrow," Luna agreed. It was only fair after Astoria had gone camping with them last weekend.
Hermione and Neville came up to them. "You going?" Harry enquired.
"Yeah. We have a portkey in two hours to go to Paris, and then Bucharest before we end up in Greece in a week or so," Hermione told them.
Harry reached out a hand to Neville as Astoria and Hermione hugged. "Congratulations," Harry told him.
"We will be back in time to see you three at the altar," Neville promised.
"You better be. I will need my best friend," Astoria told Hermione.
"We won't miss it," Hermione assured Astoria before taking Luna in.
Luna whispered, "I would not suggest you drinking any alcohol after next weekend."
Hermione jerked back. "I'm not..."
"No. Not yet."
Hermione searched her eyes for a moment and then hugged her again. "I am so glad we met."
"I am too," Luna replied.
Soon the Longbottoms were off, and the party started to break up. When they made it back to Greencross, Illiana took a sleeping Cyrus up to his bed. Anders undid the buttons on his robes. "I hope your wedding goes as smooth in a month," he told them.
"Mother is making sure it does," Astoria assured her father.
He smiled at them. "If you excuse me, I should go see Cyrus and then I would like to spend some time with my wife."
"Night, Anders," Harry said.
Luna took both their hands and started to pull them towards the kitchen instead of the stairs. Astoria gave her a questioning look. "What are you up too?"
"I want frosting. Lots of frosting," Luna informed them.
Harry had a smirk. "Do I want to know?"
Luna's airy smile greeted his. "Do you think I will taste sweeter with frosting?"
Harry chuckled and Astoria rolled her eyes. "Why does it always have to be so messy?"
Luna's more mischievous grin had that excited look come to her Aster's eyes. Harry was already in. The bulge growing in his pants said as much. "I will make sure you are clean when we are done," Luna assured her. "Without magic."
She had to add that clarifying statement or Astoria might cheat...

August 15, 1998
Rotherham, England
Astoria stood at the window looking out onto the back lawn of her family's manor. The lawn had rows of seats filling with hundreds of guests, many of them ones she never wanted to invite, but she knew the protocol and her mother had convinced them to do 'what was proper'. They were only married once and it should be a big affair. It wasn't often that people looked upon as such heroes got married like this.
Looking down, she was trying to determine how Neville and Hermione had got away with less than half this crowd. Neville was even more famous than them, having actually killed Voldemort.
On the other side of the room, Luna was getting ready with Lily, behind a screen so that they would not see each other. She found that rather droll considering she had woken with Luna curled to her this morning. She had caught Luna trying to peak on her a few times. It brought a smile to her face. It probably also helped Luna. With so many around there was no guarantee that she would be able to reign in her powers.
As her Moonbeam had matured in the last few years, Luna had been able to find ways to let most interactions with people just wash over her. It was only crowds or those that had imminent issues that would set her off.
"Are you nervous?" her mother asked, coming up and planting a kiss on her cheek.
Astoria smiled. "I feel I should be, but I'm more excited than anything."
Her mother smiled and wrapped her arms around her waist. "You should be. Harry is an excellent man - and Luna will keep you from being too serious."
She chuckled. "You have no idea."
Her mother chuckled back. "You three have lived in this house for almost two years. I think I have a pretty good idea."
"Probably," she conceded.
Her mother let her go and reached for a box on the side table. "Lily wanted to present you with a Potter family heirloom today for your something old."
She turned from the bustling crowd below to look at her mother. A smile crept on her face. "I am going to be a Potter later today."
"I think you already have been for a while. Here," her mother offered, opening the box.
Astoria took in the site of a beautiful necklace with a large purple stone set into it. "Lily said it is tanzanite. She thought it might go with the ring Harry gave you for your betrothal."
Astoria grinned. It was very similar to the stone Harry had given her. He had chosen the stone based on how Luna always described her aura. This stone was a pale purple, almost lavender, like the amethyst in her ring.
"Oh, that is beautiful," Daphne said over their mother's shoulder. As Hermione had offered to stand with Luna, Daphne had agreed to be her matron-of-honour.
"It is. Can you help me put it on?"
"Of course," their mother said, taking it out and Astoria turned to look out the window again.
She touched the stone once it was around her neck. It felt warm against her skin, as though the Potter's magic was accepting her as its own.
"Can I come see?" Luna asked from the other side of the room.
She laughed. "I thought you wanted to see me walk down the aisle," she told her betrothed.
"I changed my mind," Luna told her.
"Just let her. I am tired of hearing her ask me what you look like," Hermione said with a laugh.
Astoria rolled her eyes good naturedly. "Fine."
The curtain pulled back and Astoria pulled up short. She had always thought Luna was beautiful. Today it was even more so. Her hair had been growing out very long in the last year or so. It was braided down her back, inlaid with flowers and ribbons. Her dress was more elegant than the usual style her Moonbeam liked, but it still had Luna's personality. Spaghettis straps held up a modest top that had a plunging neckline. It didn't show anything indecent, but Astoria liked how much flesh was exposed. Flower designs were embroidered all over it. At her waist, it flared into a pleated, lacy skirt that went to her ankles.
Luna had a way of bringing both Harry and her up short at times, and today was one of those times.
She was so intent on looking Luna up and down, she missed the similar reaction from the young woman before her. The mirror next to Astoria showed a more classic, straight-line dress that hinted at her wider hips, her more generous chest and had an intricate design that complimented the ones on Luna's dress. Her hair was more up with a white pearl comb in her hair.
The people in the room with them all shared looks, complimenting each other on such a fine job.
"You look gorgeous," Astoria finally said, her adoration for the blonde clear in her voice.
Luna's smile was appreciative. "You are too. Is it about time to see if Harry likes it?"
Lily shook her head. "About thirty more minutes, Luna. Now, let's get the finishing touches on you both and then I am sure your fathers will want to see you."
Astoria moved to a mirror as Daphne and her mother helped to make sure her hair was pinned up correctly and she was presentable for their future-husband. When her father and Mr. Lovegood knocked on the door, she gave them a big smile. Her father didn't typically show that much emotion, but like when Daphne was married, his eyes looked wet. "You look gorgeous. Just like your mother on our wedding day," he said, giving her a hug.
"Get off her, Anders. We didn't just spend the last two hours getting her ready to mess it up before Harry sees it," her mother admonished her father, but there was no heat in it.
Astoria laughed as he pulled back and kissed his cheek. He didn't look apologetic. "Thank you, father."
"Harry is a lucky man," he replied.
"Are we ready yet?" Luna asked excitedly. Their blonde was ready to go and be Lady Potter. They would both be Lady Potter, though Astoria would technically be a Potter-Black.
"Yes," Lily said exasperatedly. "Let us go take our seats and we will see you in a few minutes."
"I am sure Remus may need some help by now," Anders joked.
"It's only two small girls. How much trouble could they get into?" Lily asked facetiously.
"Do you remember Calla turning Puck's fur blue," Luna supplied with a happy smile. The small kneazel had chosen the girl. It was one of the kneazles from the last litter of Crookshanks and Eira.
Lily waved her hand. "Oh, hush. You just wait until you have your own."
"I hope it's not a long wait," Luna replied, her eyes loosing focus a little.
Her mother shook her head. "You are all only eighteen. You can wait a few more years."
Luna frowned. "Do we have too?"
Lily laughed. "Just let it happen when it does."
It wasn't long before she found herself lined up before Luna and Xeno. Luna, as the primary Lady Potter, would enter last. Astoria didn't care. She was marrying both of them and she felt them all equal. Daphne, Hermione, Ginny and Amanda made up their side of the bridal party. Neville, Sirius, Remus and Victor made up Harry's, and they were all standing beside him. Neville was his best man, while Daphne would stand by her and Hermione by Luna.
As they walked down, her father escorting her to her almost-husband, she caught Harry's green eyes. The power in them was breathtaking at the way he looked at them. There was a love that made her feel special. The lust pulled at her own. The way he smirked, a smirk only reserved for Luna and her, made her almost melt. She loved this man and hoped to love him until the end of their days and beyond.
She was led to Harry's left, while Luna pulled up to his right. When his eyes had left hers, he had the same eyes for Luna.
Her father moved around and lifted her veil. "I give this young lady freely and with the blessings of House Greengrass. Betrothed to House Potter and House Black, she may take his blood line."
Astoria hadn't even realized the ceremony had started with the way her eyes didn't leave Harry. Well, they sought out Luna just as much, she had to admit to herself. "Thank you, father. I accept your blessing," she replied without thinking.
"Thank you, Lord Greengrass. I freely accept Astoria into House Potter and Black and promise to honour, treasure and provide for her," Harry said.
Her father nodded. "I entrust her to you."
Her father put her hand into Harry's.
"I give you my Luna, Lord Potter. Please accept her into House Potter with my blessings," Mr. Lovegood said.
Harry turned to Xenophilius, "Thank you for entrusting Luna to me. I freely accept her into House Potter and promise to honour, treasure and provide for her."
"I would expect nothing else. Luna has chosen well," the man said with a smile.
"Now, if the three gathered before me would turn," Ted instructed. It was the same man that had bound Remus and Lily. He had a smile on his face to look at them. "We are all gathered here today to witness the bonding of these three by magic. Lord Potter shall accept Luna Lovegood as his Lady Potter and love. He shall also accept Astoria Greengrass as his Lady Potter-Black and love. If there is any objections or blessings towards the parties involved, this shall be your last chance. Once the ritual is started, only those being bound can stop it."
Someone stood up in the crowd. "If you would, Lord Potter. The House of Lovegood would like to bless this union with the permission of myself, Lord Lovegood," a blond man said. Harry gave the man a little bit of a hard look before nodding his head. Astoria tried to ignore the man. Only after the war was over did Lord Lovegood try to enter his niece's life again. Luna had not really accepted the man, but now was not the time to make a fuss.
"As there are no objections, Lord Potter, please take Ms. Greengrass's hands in your left and Miss Lovegood's in your right. If you would take your other bondmates' hand, Miss Greengrass and Lovegood." They did as such to make a small circle between them.
"Do you, Lord Harry James Potter, Lord of House Potter, accept the bond of love, friendship and responsibility of accepting Luna Pandora Lovegood as Lady Potter?"
Harry smiled at the radiant blonde. "I accept the bond of love, friendship and responsibility to make Luna Pandora Lovegood the Lady of House Potter."
Astoria felt the magic pass between their hands.
"Do you, Luna Pandora Lovegood, accept the bond of love, friendship and the responsibility of being declared Lady Luna Potter?"
Luna smiled. "I accept the bond, love this man unconditionally and will accept the responsibilities of being Lady Luna Potter, wife of Harry Potter." Unable to contain herself, Luna hopped forward and kissed Harry on the cheek.
"A little early," Ted said quietly to them and some around the crowd chuckled at Luna.
Astoria loved these two.
"Do you, Lord Harry James Potter, Lord of House Potter-Black, accept the bond of love, friendship and responsibility of accepting Astoria Illiana Greengrass as Lady Potter-Black?"
Harry had turned to her and she found her breath caught in her chest. His eyes were glowing with the power he had, and she felt her own magic rising to meet his. "I accept the bond of love, friendship and the responsibility of making Astoria Illiana Greengrass the Lady of House Potter-Black."
She tried to keep her face passive, but the stupid smile on her face would not go away. At his words, the same rush of magic she had felt for Luna rushed into her.
"Do you, Astoria Illiana Greengrass, accept the bond of love, friendship and the responsibility of being declared Lady Astoria Potter-Black?"
"I accept the bond of love, friendship and the responsibility of being Lady of House Potter-Black," she replied. She wanted to kiss Harry like Luna had, but there was a proper way of doing this.
"All you bear witness to this bonding, please raise your wands as we give our boon and blessing to acknowledge the bonding of these three under magic and the law of our lands," Mr. Tonks instructed them.
Everyone that had a wand raised it. As Mr. Tonks chanted in Latin, all their wands started to glow a pleasant pink. "Quod amor duorum illorum praedicate testimonium ferre. Et oratio fidei cura aliis. Per eorum benedictiones capiant ueteribus sanguinis obligare. Et oblinito noster accipere boon vinculum suum."
It was just like it had been for his mother and Remus a few years ago. Neville and Hermione had chosen a different ceremony, not wanting to be bonded quite like this.
At the last word, the pink lights leaped from the wands to the hands that were held together. Astoria took in a breath at the power in it. She had already given herself to these two, but this felt more like her entire being now belonged, shared between the three of them. They shone a bright pink before fading.
"It pleases me to present Lord Potter, Lady Potter and Lady Potter-Black. You may kiss," Mr. Tonks declared. There was cheering as Harry first took Luna, then her. The kiss he gave her was no less searing than the one Luna had dragged him into. As they walked down the aisle, Astoria realized she had truly got what she wanted. She was loved. She was not just some prize so her line could be continued. She would stand equal to her husband and wife, helping to keep the line of Potter-Black, her husband's line, alive.

Russia
It had taken two years to finally get the permits approved. Luna had been wanting to come here for years and somehow had got Astoria to agree for their honeymoon to spend two weeks out in the middle of nowhere before they went to the Seychelles for a long ten days. They would get back to England about a week before the Autumnal Equinox.
They had invited daddy to come. He had been looking for the creatures that Luna and they were out here for, since before Luna had been born. He had told them to go, saying his own permits were good until the end of the year and he would go back in October with her.
So, they found themselves on a desolate, stony shoreline with a small forest behind them on the largest freshwater lake in the world. Luna was already at the water's edge, her omnioculars in her hands and scanning the water. The sun wasn't even up yet, with the sky a mirky grey in the early morning. They had spent a while last night still celebrating their wedding two days prior, so Harry found this Merlin-be-damned early.
The memories of his two girls on him last night bringing a smile to his face before he yawned.
"Master Potter, here is your coffee," a small female elf said, holding out a Muggle style thermos.
"Thank you, Beth," he told the house elf. Beth was one of the two new elves they had bonded with this summer. With so many people and the prospect of so many small children in the future, Illiana had insisted that each of her daughters have their own elf. Beth was Luna's.
Astoria had a relatively tall girl elf named Simper that had decided to stay behind and ensure their rooms and the manor were taken care of.
Both elves would listen to any of them, but it had been his girls to accept them.
"Would you like breakfast, Master Harry?"
He wasn't feeling particularly hungry yet. "What time is it?"
"About five-thirty. Should I wake Mistress Astoria?"
He shook his head. "Let her sleep. Could you make a sandwich for Luna and I? Then I will go take Luna on a ride over the lake."
"Yes, Master Harry."
He sighed, wanting to tell the elf one more time she didn't need to refer to them all like this, but he knew he would never win. It was a reminder of Willow, and a sad smile crossed his face for a few while he enjoyed his coffee and watching his little blonde magizoologist do her trade.
About ten minutes later, Beth gave him two sandwiches and topped off his thermos.
He walked down and held out his thermos. Luna lowered the omnioculars with a huge smile. "I want to go to that cove. Something was splashing around," Luna said, pointing towards a rocky beach down the lake.
"Eat first," he told her. "Then we can take the Firebolt down there. Astoria is having a lie in."
Luna gave a wistful smile. "She did ride on you for a while."
He smirked. "I remember pushing you over the edge twice before she was done."
Luna bit her lip. "I like your tongue and it's exciting to see Astoria like that. Oh, look!"
He followed her finger to see something jumping out of the water before disappearing. "What was that?"
"I am unsure if it was a floogalsnout or a seal," Luna said, reaching for her omnioculars again.
From this distance it was hard to tell, but the fins looked too long and the face not right for a seal. "I want to go," Luna said excitedly.
"Eat first," he told her, knowing Luna would rush off and forget to eat.
She took the coffee, took a swig and then made a face. "I thought that would be tea."
He chuckled. "I needed coffee. It was past midnight before I think you both passed out."
She licked her lips, not looking satisfied and then took the sandwich. The yoke was more firm for Luna, but runny for him. Beth had learned rather quickly in the last few months what they all liked. They finished their sandwiches and the coffee before he walked back up to get his broom.
Astoria was still completely out of it, the blankets half covering her naked form, when he peeked in on her.
"We'll be back in a while, Beth. Let Astoria know we will go check out Irkutsk tomorrow. Luna saw something," he told Beth.
"Yes, Master Harry."
Luna hopped on the broom behind him, her omnioculars around her neck and her case at her side. He took off and she laughed in merriment as he pushed the broom fast. Soon they were flying over where they had seen the animals, but nothing was visible now.
Flying up the coast, they caught sight of some of the nerpa, or baikal seals as they were also known, but no sight of what they had seen earlier. As the sun rose towards noon, they turned around and started the journey back.
Luna was still looking all around. "They are playing hide-and-go-see," Luna muttered for the fifth time.
"We are still here for a while, luv," he looked over his shoulder to tell her.
His eyes grew wide as she suddenly put her omnioculars to her face, leaned over and let go of his waist. "LUNA!"
Her attention was on her omnioculars. Harry pitched to try and catch her. She let out a small scream as she fell the ten feet into the lake and he plunged in after her. She came up spluttering, a smile trying to break out as she coughed up water and he held her up by her shirt as he treaded water, his broom now floating next to them.
"LOOK!"
He did and was surprised to see three roughly seal-sized creatures dipping their snouts into the water or trying to catch some small fish that were breaking the surface. They were less than a hundred feet away.
Luna started to tread her own water and he let her go.
"Merlin! Are those..."
"Floogalsnouts," she declared happily. Her omnioculars came to her hands and she started to record the three creatures eating before they slipped back under the water. "Don't go!" Luna cried out, diving below the water.
"Luna, wait," Harry dove after her. He hadn't grabbed the water swimming stones earlier, not thinking they would be trying to chase after something yet. She swam down, unable to catch up to the creatures. Harry reached her, cast a bubblehead charm over both of them and they just hovered in the water for a few moments.
After a bit, he motioned for them to go back to the surface. Luna seemed reluctant, but finally agreed. When they made it back to camp, Astoria was sitting in a lawn chair with a notebook in her hands.
"We found them!" Luna exclaimed as she ran up the stony beach and jumped into Astoria's lap.
"Why are you all wet?" Astoria exclaimed, not sounding as pleased.
"I forgot to dry us off after our swim," Harry laughed as Astoria shook her head.
Luna was beaming and started to tell their Aster all about it, taking out her omnioculars and showing Astoria. Astoria ran her hand over Luna's back as she talked, drying her off. "That is brilliant, Moonbeam," Astoria said, kissing Luna's cheek. Luna just smiled and took out her field journal and started to write in it while still sitting in Astoria's lap.
"There is another chair there," Astoria commented.
"I like this one," Luna countered, not looking up.
"I can take her," he offered.
Astoria shook her head. "I have her. I really shouldn't be doing work right now, anyways."
"No. Speaking of which, I have my project..."
"If I am not working, you are not working," Astoria ordered.
"And what about her?"
Astoria looked at Luna as she was writing and sketching. "I don't get the feeling this is work for her. Take a break and sit with us. It is our honeymoon."
Harry gave her a wicked smirk. "If that is so, can I play?"
Astoria's look turned sultry. "I suppose my Lord Potter can have the rights to his Lady."
"I need to document this," Luna told them.
Harry laughed, moved Luna to another chair and then picked up Astoria bridal-style, who laughed at him. "Come join us when you are done," Harry told Luna.
She picked up the omnioculars and looked through them.
"Take me to bed," Astoria told him.
"As my Lady wishes."
"I get Astoria later," Luna called out as he carried Astoria into the tent.

A/N: Ok, life has been stupidly crazy. About 95 percent of this chapter has been done for over a month now, but I just didn't have the time to get to it. No promises when the last chapter will be available. An epilog with a scene or two I have had in my mind for months will be the end.
Quod amor duorum illorum praedicate testimonium ferre. Et oratio fidei cura aliis. Per eorum benedictiones capiant ueteribus sanguinis obligare. Et oblinito noster accipere boon vinculum suum. = Bear witness to two that proclaim their love. They vow fidelity and to care for the other. Take out blessing to bind them per the old ways and blood. Accept our boon to seal their bond.
