Percy

They came charging at me clawing at my skin hoping to draw blood, but they were the ones that bled. I let all my emotions, everything just disappear as I charged the enemy. My attacks were unwavering and I knew that I would keep fighting until I died. I wouldn't fall back for a rest, duck for cover. I aimed to purely take out as many of them before they killed me, and if I survived...

I stabbed my sword through a Death Eater's stomach, swirling around to block another spell that came falling toward me. I could feel a hurricane arise around me, making it harder for the variety of monsters to reach my skin. No matter how many I killed more piled through to attack me. It was like fighting a hydra where all its heads duplicated.

I was in the middle of the field, I had almost cut through to the other side where the rest of them were fighting, but more enemies kept flooding into me. It was like I was the sand, getting hit but the water over and over again. My energy was starting to deplete, but I did not let that stop me for a moment. I had prolonged through worse. Any damage I took was what I deserved for not being stronger, for not trying hard enough.

I took a deep breath and let Riptide sing.

It wasn't enough. That was the first thing I realised as we faced the enemy. I looked over to Leo who's hands were lighting up a bronze hammer. Our eyes met and I knew he was thinking the same thing I was. We were doomed.

I heard a shot fire and I then looked towards the two mortals carrying the celestial bronze guns Leo made for them. I didn't have time to teach them to fight, but I could teach them to aim and pull a trigger. Now I realised I was just sending them to their deaths. They had no idea of the vast enemy army we were facing, they still doubted the existence of our race. I guess they can't doubt it anymore.

"We need to get to the other side," I told Leo.

"Have they taken the castle?" He asked.

"I can't see," I replied, unable to tell through the mass of creatures.

"Frank!" I called out to the bulky male. "Can you get us to the other side?" I asked him.

He wasted no time, shifting himself into an enormous eagle.

"Where are you going?" Reyna yelled, approaching us wielding two blades in either of her hands.

"To help protect the castle," I replied and threw a gem right into an approaching Death Eater's face.

She nodded in understanding. I felt something clasp onto my shoulder, talons. Frank had lifted both me and Leo off the ground, using his large feathered wings to carry us over the battlefield. I gasped at the view. Hundreds laid died, so many in the Beauxbaton's uniform. I couldn't even describe the amount of death that was below me.

All a sudden we were all pushed to the side and I was falling towards the ground at an alarming rate. I looked up and saw Frank struggling with a Death Eater as I fell towards the ground. I think Leo was calling out for me but I couldn't hear him as gravity took its hold on me. Although there was another shout, this one was much closer.

"Arresto Momentum!" shouted a female voice shouted. Just before hitting the ground, my body stopped. The fall was not gentle, but I was alive. Scrambling to my feet I look around and saw Fleur standing nearby, her face bloody and her hand clutched onto a girl who looked similar to herself.

I drew my sword and looked up, noticing there was no Eagle in the air. I prayed they were alright. I prayed that we would all be, but the gods were not answering my prayers.

I ran and ran, spotting body after body lying motionless on the ground. Hermione ad a firm hold on my hand, dragging around the commotion. I collided against her back when she stopped moving. She suddenly turned around, hugging me, crying into me. I looked down to the ground and see a pair of silver-blue eyes lacking their once-kind shine. Her long blonde hair mattered over her lifeless body.

My mind flashed to everything we had gone through together, not believing she was gone. Her spirit was stronger than most, yet here she was. I held onto Hermione tighter, this was no place to cry.

"We need to keep moving," I choked back the tears. "We need to find Harry." She nodded not able to say anything. We turned back around, leaving Luna's body lying in the rubble, promising to come back to her. To give her the burial she deserved.
