A/N: This is the end of this fic. I'm happy they reconnected. Hope you are too. A relatively short epilogue to finish it off.

Thanks for all the reviews, both the ones that like what I've done here and those that would have liked things done differently. I've enjoyed reading them and have responded to all but those from guests. This has been tiring, mainly because I updated daily, but great to have follow on conversations with a number of you.

No beta, as you know from reading this so far. I have been told some British English words and phrase crept in, which will be due to the lack of a beta. If people let me know where I need American words / phrases, I'll go back and tidy this up.

Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck or the lyrics I have used. This fic was all about feelings, so ending with lyrics about them seemed fitting. Thanks, Asia.

Chuck – After You

Epilogue – Feelings

This is for real, I never felt so good before
I see the world through different eyes
Now that you're back, nothing in the least can overcome me
Misery gone, plus all the doubt that overran me
But you're back

Now I can see you
Now I can feel you
Now that I want you
Now I can touch you
Next to me
Here it comes

Here comes the feeling
Here comes that same old feeling
Here comes the feeling
Here comes that same old feeling

"Here Comes the Feeling"
Asia

Six months after rejoining Chuck, Sarah has enough memories back that she feels she needs no more. She now has a pretty good picture of her five years in Burbank and the three months before that. If anything crops up, she can always ask her wonderful husband and he'll fill in the details. She doesn't need to know everything.

Of course, there may be more 'bad guys' out there that may take a pop at her, like she assumes happened in Dallas, but she can't live her life in fear of that. After all, she's more likely to die in a car accident, than be shot. She will just enjoy her life. With the love of her life.

She thinks back over the last six months. These memories are mostly wonderful too. Chuck's insecurities have faded. They are still there, but he has them under control now. Their love life has certainly not been affected by it since the day the made love for the first time in Florida. Far from it! Her returning memories surpassed by experiencing it nightly since that day!

That wasn't the only wonderful thing, though. Just spending time with her husband made her so happy. A husband who no longer avoided her, who could talk to her for hours.

She had, of course, had to remind him that he wanted to make a success of his game creation, so she often had to steer him back to his laptop for that. Even watching him typing away on there brought her joy. All those years ago, she'd encouraged him to do more with his life, telling him he could do anything. He had excelled as a spy, eventually, and now here he was on his way to doing the same with his original dream. He was clueless about setting up a business or selling his product, so she had helped with that and will do so even more when it's nearly ready.

She had also reconnected fully with her mom and little sister. Shortly after the Woodcombs had visited, Sarah and Chuck headed back to California to visit them. It has been an emotional time for Sarah, as she reflects, thinking back on that visit.

She is still surprised that she had agreed for Chuck to drive from the airport to her mom's house. They would have arrived so much quicker if she had driven, but he had insisted. "This is your time to be looked after. Enjoy it."

She had looked at him and commented, "I enjoy driving, Chuck."

"Not happening. I'm driving," he had replied.

In a way, she liked the assertive Chuck, so she gave in.

= ! =

It does take longer, but she has been able to just enjoy being with him. Looking at him.

Now they are approaching her mom's house. Still the same house as twenty-five years ago.

Chuck has been reminding her that her mom loves her and so does Molly, but now she is getting butterflies in her stomach, thinking about seeing them. She had been talking to her mom on the phone, but a face-to-face visit is something else entirely.

Chuck pulls up outside the house. He turns to look at her, to encourage her. She has frozen.

He jumps out of the car and runs around it to open her door. He reaches in with a hand. "Come on, love."

Sarah turns, first looking at his hand, then his face. The endearment is just what she needs at that moment. He always knows the right words and actions for any moment.

She beams at him, grabs his hand and they both pull her out.

She wraps her arms around him and kisses him before saying, "Thank you, Chuck."

They walk hand in hand up the path to the door.

The door opens before they reach it.

Chuck smiles and says to Emma, "As good as your daughter."

Emma grins at him, "She learnt observational awareness from me."

Sarah runs to her mom and wraps her arms around her. "Oh, Mom!" She hugs her mom tightly.

Both women are in tears as they pull apart. Emma kisses Sarah's cheek. "Welcome back, Sarah."

That makes Sarah embrace her mom again as she cried. She finally pulls away again. "I love you, Mom."

Emma wipes her cheeks. "I love you too, my wonderful daughter." She looks up at her son-in-law and opens one of her arms and Chuck happily embraces the two of them.

After a minute, and many tears, they pull apart and Emma says, "We can't stand here like this all day! Come in."

= ! =

Emma had told Moly to wait inside and not come straight to the door. Molly had learnt to do whatever her mom told her to do, but is pacing in the living room. When she sees her sister walk in, she can't stop herself and runs to her and wraps her arms around Sarah's legs, shouting out "Sarah!"

Sarah is taken completely by surprise. Keeping her legs straight, she bends and picks up her sister. Sarah lifts her and instinctively kisses her and then says, "Hello, Molly."

Molly kisses her back, saying "Missed you."

Sarah is starting to tear up again. She puts Molly back down.

Molly looks at her. "Are you alright now?"

Sarah doesn't know what her mom has told her and looks over at Emma.

Emma smiles. "Molly has been worrying about you, Sarah. About your loss of memory."

Sarah looks back down at her sister. "Yes, Molly. I'm alright now. I have a lot of my memories back now."

Molly takes that in and asks, "Do you remember me?"

Sarah smiles. "Yes, Molly. I remember my lovely sister."

Molly beams at her. Then she turns to their other guest and rushes to him.

Chuck is ready for this and sweeps her up and kisses her. "Hi, Mol."

"Hi, Chuck."

Sarah has such a feeling of contentment and, as she looks at Chuck holding Molly, she can see he does too.

The rest of the day is spent with either Chuck or Sarah playing with Molly and the other talking with Emma.

Emma keeps stopping Sarah and just hugging her, which Sarah is happy to return.

Sarah and Chuck have a late flight back and stay as long as they can.

After a tearful farewell, Sarah drives them back to the airport, but holds his hand all the way.

Seven months after Sarah moved to Miami Beach, she misses her period. She does a test and finds she is indeed pregnant.

She hadn't expected this, but really she should have. They have been making love with no protection for some time now, so could have happened anytime in the last few months. Thinking about it, she's surprised that she hadn't gotten pregnant sooner.

She's not in the least unnerved by it. In fact, she is overjoyed.

This brings another memory of the two of them on a train drawing on a picture, with the two of them outside a house. Chuck has just drawn a baby in her arms.

They had wanted a child then and she knows she wants one now too.

However, she is nervous about telling Chuck. He is completely over his fear of her leaving, but they haven't talked again about kids. Does he still want them with her?

She has just heard Chuck's car pull up. He will be in soon. She readies herself.

The door has just shut and he is about to call out to her, when he finds himself almost knocked over by his beautiful blonde wife. She has her arms around his neck and she is kissing him so enthusiastically.

As they separate for air, he says, "And hello to you too!"

Sarah just hugs him with her head against his chest.

Chuck smiles and questions, "No words for me?"

Sarah pulls back and grins. "Oh, lots of words!"

She pulls him through to the sitting room and down onto the couch.

"Chuck, I have some news. Some very good news." She them pauses before saying, "I hope."

Chuck smiles. "Okay. Tell me, my beautiful wife."

That makes her smile and she takes a deep breath. "Chuck, I'm pregnant."

It takes a few seconds for him to react. Terrifying seconds for her. Then he grins. "Really?"

She nods and he jumps up and pulls her to her feet. He wraps his arms around her and twirls, swinging her around. "Oh, God, Sarah. That is such wonderful news."

She laughs at his antics. When he finally puts her down she can see the joy in his eyes. It matches hers. "Oh, Chuck. I've been worrying since I did the test."

He frowns. "Worrying about what?"

She looks down. "That you might have changed your mind. That you don't want children with me, after all."

He wraps his arms around her again, pulling her to him. "We are such a pair. Your insecurities, Sarah! Of course, I want children with you. I love you and we'll both love our little super heroes."

She just tightens her arms around him. "Good."

Then she thinks about how he is going to be overprotective now and not want to hurt her. "Chuck."

"Yes, my love?"

"Right words! I will still want you to make love to me, even though I'm pregnant. So, 'yes' is absolutely the right word when I want it!"

Eight months later, Chuck has now released his first game and is working on his next. The first has been a huge hit. They both worked hard on its release, so Chuck regarded it as a joint venture, even though she felt she'd done so little. Everything is going well for them.

Sarah has been lucky and had no problems with her pregnancy, other than recently, feeling like a beached whale. Not long now, though, she reminds herself.

Almost as if the thought triggers it, she feels her waters break. "Chuck! It's time!"

The drive to the hospital reminds him of the two car rides to Dallas, driving faster than he normally does.

Thankfully, it has been a very easy and quick delivery. That is just as well. Chuck's left hand is almost crushed after Sarah had been gripping it so tightly.

Now his beautiful wife is holding the new love of their lives.

Their feelings for each other and stronger than ever, but now they happily share their love and their feelings with this small bundle of joy.

They have only been home for about two weeks when everyone arrives.

Chuck has been frantically getting the house ready for the onslaught.

Now neither of them is on the receiving end of the attention of the others. There is a new Bartowski.

They have called her Maire Cara Bartowski.

Maire is an Irish form of the name Mary.

Mary had saved them. She had literally saved Chuck, but her guidance of them had been perfect, nudging them both in the right direction. Back towards each other, to their love. The nudging was just what Chuck had needed, a push would have been too much. Sarah had needed it too.

So, their daughter's first name would be Maire. They didn't want it to be exactly the same as her grandmother, two Mary Bartowskis would be wrong, so they had chosen this because it didn't sound the same, being pronounced 'MOY-ra'. All the family knew the connection, though.

Mary had been very touched about the choice of name. Sarah has never seen an emotional Mary, so it was quite a surprise.

Her middle name, Cara, was a recognition of the help Carina had made.

Right now, Sarah is watching these two with her daughter. Mary is holding her granddaughter and Carina is leaning close, cooing at her. The picture sums up how Sarah is feeling. Three important women. She loves them all for what they mean to her.

Standing in the kitchen, making coffee, Sarah is feeling so content. Watching them.

Life would have been so different if the two adults hadn't helped them. Chuck might not have had a life, something Sarah sometimes has to stop herself thinking, but if he had survived he, like her, would probably have been lonely for the rest of his life. Missing her, just as she would have been missing him. Instead, here they are, the happy couple with a wonderful daughter. And, today, all their friends with them, celebrating Maire's birth.

Everything is perfect.

Claire and Moly are down on the beach playing together. Ellie, Devon and her mom, Emma, with them.

Ellie had played her part in getting them to a happy point in their lives, so if they have another girl in the future, the name Eleanor will appear in her name in some form.

Morgan and Alex are chatting with Chuck, John and Gertrude.

Sarah had given both John and Gertrude hugs when they had arrived. John had looked very uncomfortable. She still isn't sure if that was the hug or her calling him John. Sarah had been a bit tearful when she thanked them for being there for Chuck, so that probably added to his discomfort.

Sarah had wanted Zondra to be there too, but she is apparently on a long-term assignment and out of contact. Sarah hopes she will be able to see her as soon as she returns to the States and has left messages to say so.

She looks at all the people there with them. All had played a part in their lives during the five years before her memory loss and all played a part in their lives since. She had never been part of anything before meeting Chuck Bartowski, had never felt the need for it, but now it is just what she needs. She loves all these people and is so grateful to have them as her friends and family.

She then looks at her husband and her daughter. Yes, she loves all these people, but these two are her life. The center of her universe.

She chuckles to herself. She's getting as nerdy as him, but it is true, Chuck and Maire make the universe a wonderful place to be and she loves them so, so much.

A/N: So, that's it. Had to have a happy ending. I wouldn't be able to cope otherwise.

This has been a very different experience for me. I don't like angst and certainly not post-finale, but the songs really just guided me through this. I knew it would be happier at the end, but I kept thinking of more and more great songs to include before that. I ended up having to stop adding chapters, so you didn't get to see chapters based on a number of other great songs.

Panic Room's Velocity sums up Sarah's feelings after those early memories return:
I always knew we could not trust stability
Always a crash around the bend
Warning myself 'Don't think you're safe'
For peace is a fickle friend

Somewhere I lost my sense of perspective
I started to trust this life
I should have known all along
Our journey was ending
And into this sea we dive… velocity

The chorus from Gang of Four's "Anthrax" would have been perfect for her mood at that point:
Love'll get you like a case of anthrax
And that's something I don't want to catch

Adelle's 'Hello" was relevant when Chuck was initially trying to call Sarah:
Hello from the other side
I must have called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done

Pink Floyd's "The Great Gig in the Sky" felt appropriate for Chuck as he thought about the implications of that letter, before Mary guided him:
And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I don't mind.
Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.

Those are just a few. So, think yourselves lucky, the angst could have gone on for a lot longer!

A final plea for reviews. Please give me your thoughts about the epilogue and/or your final thoughts about the whole fic. I'd also like to know your thoughts on how ell the song lyrics worked with the chapters.

And a final suggestion for you to become a member of the Chuck FanFiction Facebook group.
