Unfortunately it seems not all of the Kyoshi Warriors who remained are happy to see her back. As the time to return to the Fire Nation nears, perhaps Suki may need to decide where her heart lies.

Zutara, AU. It is 5 years after the war. Zuko invites the Gaang to the Fire Nation to help restore its cultural and spiritual heritage. However, events turn terribly astray when Aang is fatally injured and then dragged into the spirit world. It falls to the unlikely duo of Zuko and Katara to travel to the world in search of a way to save the Avatar.

Fire Lord Sozin started a war the Fire Nation could not possibly win. When his nation looks to him for leadership; it is his son who emerges from his shadow.

Katara is having trouble coming to terms with her mother's death and Hakoda's newfound love. Her favourite airbender always knows how to make her feel better.

Iroh leaves with Zuko - because he's a coward, because he has nothing left to lose.

What if more had been said in the catacombs beneath Ba Sing Se? What if an exchange of words had become a long, deep conversation? And how would that change the tides of the Hundred Year War, and the lives of the people fighting to end it? Slow burn Zutara, with slight Aang-bashing.

(Second part in the "fire lily" trilogy, but can be read as a standalone.) Zuko had been acting… strange. As in, stranger than usual. And Mai, who was more than intelligent enough to piece context clues together, was certain of the cause. That damn war meeting. (Mai will always be his fire lily. If only Zuko knew how to tell her that. Mid-canon Maiko angst and hurt/comfort.)

Katara finally has a chance for a nap, but Zuko has something else in mind.
