Shout out to MrPotassiumK for giving me the courage to start writing fanfictions! Please go check him out. He has the best story I have ever read about the loud house. I believe it has 700,000+ words. Anyways, here's chapter five!

CHAPTER FIVE - Section Seven

Bobby was in the medical hut, tied up on a bed, shirtless. His entire body was veiny as he laid semi-conscious.

Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, Aazay, Carol and Francisco were present in the medical hut.

"He doesn't look good." Ronnie said.

Lincoln handed Aazay the vial.

"This was in Ronnie's pocket when she arrived. I think it might help him." Lincoln said.

Aazay grabbed the vial and examined it.

"W C K D...So your name is Ronnie?" Aazay asked while looking at her.

Ronnie nodded.

"Alright Ronnie, so you don't remember how you managed to get these?" Aazay asked.

Ronnie shook her head.

Aazay nodded before looking at Lincoln.

"What makes you think this will help him?" Aazay asked.

"It looks like some sort of vaccine." Lincoln replied.

Aazay took another look at the vial.

"We don't even know what this stuff is. We don't know who sent it or why it even came up with her. For all we know this thing could kill him." Aazay said.

Lincoln looked at Bobby. He noticed he was breathing faintly.

He then looked back at Aazay.

"He's already dying! I mean, look at him. How could this possibly make him any worse?" Lincoln said.

Francisco added to the conversation.

"I say it's worth a shot. There's nothing we could do now. His symptoms are out of our control. Might as well use it." Francisco said.

Aazay looked at Bobby.

He then looked down before looking back up at Bobby.

"Alright." Aazay said quietly.

Aazay then handed the vial to Carol.

"Do it." Aazay said.

Carol grabbed the vial slowly.

Carol approached Bobby's side and aimed the shot at his center body.

Carol was about to use it until Bobby tilted his head up.

His eyes were completely blue and his face was veiny.

He violently grabbed Carol's shirt.

Carol dropped the vial and yelped and the other four rushed over.

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE! YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!" Bobby yelled.

Carol yelled for help.

"Get the syringe!" Francisco yelled.

Ronnie rushed over and picked up the vial before quickly stinging him in with the vial needle.

After Bobby was stung by it, he let go and quickly put his head back down and started breathing slowly and went unconscious.

Carol dusted her shirt.

"Holy shit." Carol said.

Everyone stared at the now unconscious Bobby.

Bobby seemed calm, he wasn't breathing hard any more and his veins looked less "veiny".

"Well...that worked." Francisco said, still shocked.

Aazay looked up at Carol and Francisco.

"Okay, from now on, make sure Jordan and Tal stay here and watch him around the clock!" Aazay said loudly.

Francisco nodded and went outside.

Sully then entered the medical hut holding a torch and looked at the group.

"What the hell just happened?" Sully asked quietly.

Aazay looked at him.

"Nothing." Aazay said.

Sully looked down at Lincoln, who was standing next to Ronnie Anne.

"Hey." Sully said.

Lincoln looked at him.

"Sundown greenie. Time to go." Sully said.

Lincoln looked around before nodding and walking towards him.

The two exited the medical hut.

The sky was dark. Crickets were chirping.

The two got closer to the pits.

Lincoln was walking next to Sully.

Sully kept looking forward, holding the torch.

Lincoln looked up at Sully.

Ever since he came back from the maze, he felt like Sully had something against him.

"Hey, what is your problem with me?" Lincoln asked quietly.

Sully kept walking for another five seconds before speaking.

"You keep doing things that could get our people killed." Sully said.

Lincoln looked up at him.

"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked.

Sully sighed and stopped in front of the pit gate before speaking.

"First you run into the maze and kill a griever, which came back to bite us. Secondly, you go back in the maze without telling any of the main leaders, with a bunch of non-runners and lead them to dissect a griever and come back with a potentially dangerous item. And you saw how I was right when they sent up a girl 26 days earlier. You know the box is not going back down. YOU, killing that griever, was a mistake, and now, we aren't getting any new supplies. I mean, everyone saw how she recognized you, and I bet, you know who she is." Sully explained.

Lincoln was surprised. He never realized his actions caused all of this.

Sully opened the pit gate and Lincoln hopped down. He had a sense of deja vu.

Sully crouched down and started locking back up the gate.

Lincoln looked up at him.

"Sully." Lincoln said.

Sully looked down at him.

"Y-you know we can't stay here forever, right?" Lincoln said.

Sully looked at him silently before getting up.

Lincoln kept his eyes locked with his.

Sully stood quiet before turning around and walking away.

Lincoln backed away and sat down against the stone.

He sat there for about a minute before hearing footsteps and a glow, barely lighting the dark pit.

Lincoln looked up.

"Who's there?" Lincoln asked.

A figure holding a lantern and other supplies walked over. The figure wore glasses and had black curly hair.

"It's just me." Clyde chuckled.

Lincoln sighed.

"Sorry, Clyde." Lincoln said.

Clyde approached the pit gate and set the lantern down and sat down.

"Here. You run around better on a full stomach." Clyde said quietly as he handed him a water bottle and a rag.

Lincoln grabbed the materials.

Lincoln set the water bottle next to him and grabbed the rag and put it on his lap.

He unwrapped the rag and inside was a tortilla with meat inside it.

"Where'd you get this?" Lincoln asked.

"It was today's lunch. Saved mine if I ever got a craving at night. I feel bad, so I'm giving it to you." Clyde explained.

Lincoln smiled and took a bite out of the tortilla.

Lincoln smiled at the delicious taste that he...well...tasted.

He looked up.

"Thanks, Clyde." Lincoln said, the tortilla bite still in his mouth.

Clyde nodded and smiled.

Lincoln spoke up.

"Sully thinks I'm a danger to the group." Lincoln said.

Clyde looked over at him.

"Why so?" Clyde asked.

"I guess it's because I ran into the maze uncalled for and killed a griever. He assumes the reason the girl came up and the box didn't go back down is because I did." Lincoln explained.

Clyde nodded before speaking.

"Lincoln, keep doing what you're doing." Clyde said.

Lincoln was confused.

"What?" Lincoln asked.

"Chandler told me that you guys found a clue to the escape. If you hadn't killed that griever, we'd probably never would have found it." Clyde said.

"Well...we don't know if it is an actual clue. It could be just a mechanical thing grievers use." Lincoln said.

"Even if that is true, you still did more." Clyde said.

Lincoln looked up in confusion.

"If you hadn't been brave enough to go into the maze, Bobby, Lynn, Luke and Sam probably would have died. That griever you killed...would have got them. The only reason we haven't found these 'clues' yet is because we're all cowards. Most of them lived in this place for years...and they haven't had the idea to kill a griever! But you did. You figured out that doing what hasn't been done yet, could make something happen. If you stop now, we'll probably be here for the rest of our lives." Clyde said.

Lincoln was surprised and silent. His heart was touched by this comment.

"T-thanks Clyde...it means a lot...really." Lincoln said.

Clyde smiled at him.

"I guess imma go hit the bed thingies. Goodnight." Clyde said.

"Goodnight buddy." Lincoln said with a smile.

Clyde got up and walked away.

Lincoln finished eating his tortilla and drank some water before leaning back and closing his eyes.

Morning had arrived. Most of the gladers were still asleep.

Birds were chirping and the sky had a yellow tint.

Lynn walked over to the pits and looked inside to see Lincoln, sleeping.

"Rise and shine, greenie." Lynn said quietly.

Lincoln woke up and looked up to see Lynn crouched down and looking at him.

"Big day greenie. Sure you wanna sit this one out?" Lynn joked.

Lincoln chuckled.

"Come on, get me outta here." Lincoln joked.

"Alright." Lynn said before opening the pit gate.

Lincoln jumped out of the pit quickly.

"Well, you're in a hurry." Lynn joked.

Lincoln looked at Lynn.

"Yeah, there was a spider in there." Lincoln joked.

Lynn chuckled.

"Alright, let's go." Lynn said.

Lynn and Lincoln headed towards the big hut in the woods.

The two arrived at the big hut, both entering it.

Lynn walked over and grabbed a supply vest and handed it to Lincoln.

"Second rule of being a runner, gear up." Lynn said.

Lincoln grabbed the supply vest and put it on him.

Lynn grabbed her supply vest and put it on.

"What's the first?" Lincoln asked.

"Never stop running." Lynn replied.

The two managed to put on their supply vests.

A creek was heard outside the hut.

"Knock knock." Luke said jokingly.

Luke entered the hut. Behind him, another boy entered.

He was in his teen years, had dirty blonde hair and a faint beard. He wore a white t-shirt and jeans.

"Right, forgot to tell you Luke is coming along. Didn't know about Colton though." Lynn said.

"Yeah, I decided to start running again. And you'll need all the help you could get." Colton said.

Luke nodded with a smile.

"The more, the scarier." Lynn said.

Colton sighed.

"Put your supply vests on." Lynn said.

"Putting it on!" Luke said while putting his vest on.

Colton grabbed a supply vest and put it on.

Lynn walked over to the diorama and pointed at a certain spot.

Lincoln, Luke and Colton stood next to her.

"Alright, listen up." Lynn said. "We're gonna take this route through the narrows until we reach section four, then we'll pass all the sections on the way to seven to try and see if the pattern switched up."

Everyone nodded.

"If we're going to make it to the outer ring and back, you all gotta keep moving. No snack breaks." Lynn said.

"Welp, there goes my muffin break." Luke joked.

Lynn walked away from the diorama.

"Let's go." Lynn said.

The four exited the big hut in the woods.

The four continued walking through the woods.

Lincoln looked around again and saw the same white and blue butterfly.

The four crossed a small wooden bridge going over a small river before Lynn spoke.

"Greenie." Lynn said.

Lincoln looked away from the butterfly and looked at Lynn.

"Yeah?" Lincoln asked.

"Make sure you're alert when we are in those outer sections. They'll chew you up and spit you out before you even realize you stepped wrong. Follow my lead alright?" Lynn said.

Lincoln nodded.

"And also, never forget the number one rule...never stop running." Lynn said.

"Okay." Lincoln replied.

Lynn turned back around and kept walking.

Lincoln's curiosity got the better of him and he spoke.

"Do you guys keep seeing a white and blue butterfly?" Lincoln asked.

The three turned towards him.

Luke scratched his neck before speaking.

"Yeah, Colton over here. He's white, his jeans are blue and he's so hot." Luke joked.

Colton sighed.

"Oh come on! Y'all laugh at Luan's jokes but not mine?" Luke said.

"Oh trust me Luke, absolutely NO ONE laughs at Luan's jokes." Lynn said.

"No, guys this is serious!" Lincoln yelled.

Suddenly a voice came from behind them.

"Looking ready to go, Greenie!" The voice said.

The four looked at the source of the voice to see Jordan approaching them.

Behind her was Ronnie Anne and Mollie.

"How's ya been Ronnie?" Luke asked.

"I've been good. Made some friends with Jordan and Mollie." Ronnie replied.

Lincoln smiled from this response.

Lynn walked up to them.

"Jordan, how's Bobby?" Lynn asked.

Jordan looked at Lynn.

"He's been doing alright. He hasn't woken up yet." Jordan replied.

Lynn nodded before speaking.

"Keep an eye on him." Lynn said.

"I will. Tal and Joy are taking my shift today, so at least I have time to show Ronnie how to chop wood." Jordan said.

"Make sure she doesn't chop a finger off." Lynn said.

Jordan nodded her head before turning around.

Mollie followed her.

Ronnie turned around but looked back at Lincoln before waving at him.

Lincoln waved back at her with a smile.

Ronnie smiled before turning back around.

Luke saw this and looked at Lincoln.

"Don't break rule number three now." Luke said with a wink.

"N-no, it's not like that." Lincoln said nervously.

Colton looked at Luke.

"Come on man, lay off the poor kid." Colton said.

Luke put his hands up.

"Alright, alright." Luke said jokingly.

"Focus. Let's go, we're losing daylight." Lynn said before walking.

"It's still morning Lynn!" Luke said.

Lynn looked back.

"Every second counts." Lynn replied before walking again.

The three looked at each other before following her.

The four arrived at the doors to the maze, which were still closed.

Birds chirped and the sun was hitting the glade.

"Are we running into a wall? Because the doors are still closed." Luke joked.

Lynn turned around and looked at Luke with an annoyed expression on her face.

"When we're out there, you better not be making more lame jokes." Lynn said.

Luke nodded with a smile.

Lynn turned around and stared at the walls.

Suddenly, a loud sound came from the walls.

The cogwheels on top of it started moving.

The doors slowly began opening.

Luke crossed his arms.

"Convenient." Luke said while nodding.

The doors were only 75% opened before Lynn started running.

"Let's go!" Lynn shouted.

Luke cracked his knuckles before running in.

Colton ran in after.

Lincoln was still surprised by the sudden reaction.

Shaking this shock away, Lincoln jumped up and started running into the maze.

Lynn, who was leading the pack, took a left.

Luke, who was right behind her, followed her directions.

Colton and Lincoln then followed up by taking a left.

Lynn took a few more rights and lefts before shouting.

"This way! Not much further until the inner ring!" Lynn shouted.

She made another left before the other three followed up behind her.

The four kept running and arrived at a large space.

Lynn, who was still running of course, looked over to her left.

"I fucking knew it!" Lynn shouted.

Everyone behind her was confused.

"What?" Lincoln shouted.

"Look!" Lynn said while pointing to her left.

The three looked and saw that section 4's doors were still closed.

Section 4's doors were about the size of a skyscraper, with a giant red four on it.

"Section four is closed? Wasn't that opening today?" Luke shouted.

"Yeah! I had a theory that the pattern switched up." Lynn shouted. "Let's go check seven!"

Colton put on a confused expression.

"Why seven?" Colton asked.

"Because, we found something in a griever that specifically says seven!" Lincoln shouted.

Colton nodded.

The four continued running, heading towards section seven.

The four eventually arrived next to section five.

"We're almost there!" Lynn shouted.

The four eventually passed six, still running, none of them saying a word, before arriving at section seven.

Lynn looked ahead of her and saw that section 7's doors were still open.

"Seven is still open!" Lynn shouted.

Section 7 had a similar large open space in front of its doors, about the size of half of a football field.

"Don't tell me we have to memorize a whole other fucking pattern!" Luke shouted.

Lynn stood silent as she continued running.

The four haven't stopped running since they stepped foot in the maze.

Colton looked at Lincoln.

"You alright?" Colton asked.

Lincoln nodded.

Colton was surprised how the kid didn't look like passing out. They ran for twenty minutes straight!

Lynn entered inside section seven's doors. The other three followed behind her.

The four entered inside section seven's doors and arrived at a large open space with giant, metal rectangles sticking out from the ground. They were 30 feet tall and had a brown and gray color mix on them.

Lincoln was shocked and confused by the sudden change of the atmosphere.

"What the hell is this place?" Lincoln asked.

The four stopped running and began walking.

Luke took a breath before speaking.

"We call em' blades." Luke said.

Lincoln looked up at the blades. They looked like giants compared to him.

Lincoln gulped before he continued walking.

The four started to jog down the hallway of blades.

Lincoln looked around and noticed that the entire section was surrounded with those blades sticking out.

Lynn saw something red on the floor down the hallway.

"Do you guys see that?" Lynn asked.

The three looked in front of her.

"Yeah." Colton said.

The four approached the red object on the floor, slowly making out what it is.

"Looks like a rag or something." Luke shouted.

The four got closer to the object and finally approached it.

It was a shirt, covered in blood.

Dried blood stains resided next to the shirt.

The four stopped running when they approached it.

Lynn crouched down and picked it up.

She began examining it.

She sighed before speaking.

"It's Miguel's." Lynn said as she dropped it on the floor.

Lincoln's eyes widened.

Luke shook his head.

Colton stood silent.

"A griever must've killed him down here." Lynn said as she stood up.

The four looked around before a zapping noise was heard.

Everyone looked at each other.

"What's that noise?" Luke asked.

The zapping noise became louder with a mix of popping and clicking noises.

Lincoln looked at Lynn.

Lincoln slowly approached Lynn.

"Lynn, your backpack." Lincoln said.

Lynn turned towards Lincoln and gave him a confused look.

She looked at her backpack and took it off.

She placed it on the ground and opened it.

Inside the backpack was the object they got from the griever.

Lincoln approached and grabbed the object.

Lynn zipped up her backpack and put it back on

The three surrounded Lincoln, who was examining the object.

Lincoln turned around and pointed the object behind them.

The sound suddenly stopped.

"What…" Luke said.

The four were silent.

Lincoln then turned the object back around and the noise started again, this time faster.

Lincoln looked up slowly while the three stared at the object.

"I-i think it's showing us the way." Lincoln said.

Lincoln looked back at the three.

The three looked at each other in shock.

Lynn nodded before speaking.

"Lead the way." Lynn said.

Lincoln looked back at her.

Lynn nodded once more.

Lincoln nodded back before turning back and walking forward.

The three followed him.

The noise grew louder and faster.

The four kept going straight.

Suddenly the sound shrinked.

"W-wait." Lincoln said.

Luke looked around him.

"What?" Luke asked.

Their voices echoed.

Lincoln turned the object to his right.

The sound then stopped.

He then turned it to his left and the sound grew loud again.

"This way." Lincoln said as he continued walking forward.

The three walked behind him. Lincoln was now leading them.

The noise sounded like electrical zaps and clicks with loud beeps.

Lincoln kept leading them until coming across an open door.

"Woah! I've never seen this before." Colton said.

Lincoln pointed the object towards the door.

The noise suddenly went super fast.

Lynn's face went into shock.

"This…this is new." Lynn said.

Inside the door was a wide path made of stone. The edges next to it led into a black void.

Surrounding the walkway was an oddly shaped wall made of bronze and stone held up by pillars.

Vines dangled off the walls.

At the end of the path was a wall.

Lincoln silently walked forward.

The three looked at him before joining.

The walkway was as wide as six flat screen televisions.

Luke looked around him, gazing upon the new zone.

Colton looked over the walkway and stared into the black void.

Lynn kept looking around and noticed the wall at the end was in the shape of a door.

Lincoln stared at the object while occasionally looking around.

The sound of the object grew louder and faster as Lincoln approached the wall at the end.

Luke looked up the wall and noticed giant white letters painted into the wall. They were spellin D.

Below it said in white paint as well, "Loading Bay".

The four got closer to the wall as the object's noise grew so fast, it didn't even sound like clicking anymore.

Vines were covering the floor in front of the wall.

Luke approached the wall and touched it.

Luke sighed before speaking.

"It's just another dead end." Luke said, annoyed.

Lynn walked next to Lincoln while Colton started touching the wall as well.

"I-i don't get it. Why would it lead us here if it's just a dead end?" Lincoln asked.

Lynn sighed.

"There has to be a reason. Maybe this is where the grievers go." Lynn stated.

Lincoln looked at the object.

Suddenly the clicking stopped.

"Huh?" Lincoln said.

The red flashing light and the red number seven turned green as a zap sound came from it.

"What the-" Lynn was cut off by a large noise.

Luke and Colton swiftly backed up from the wall.

The wall began rising up, slowly revealing another wall.

The four looked inside shockingly.

The wall behind the first wall began rising up as well, revealing a third wall.

The third wall began rising up, revealing a circle shaped carving at the end of another wall.

The carving was in the shape of a star.

The star shaped carving opened up, revealing a dark hole inside.

The four looked inside silently.

Lynn turned her head towards Lincoln.

"Are you sure about this?" Lynn asked.

Lincoln's eyes widened as he stared inside.

"Nope." Lincoln replied.

Lincoln began walking forward.

Lynn followed him.

Luke and Colton then walked forward.

The four walked towards the dark hole. Vines were seeping out the bottom of it.

Colton looked up and noticed a tall opening on the roof leading to the sky. Multiple holes of light were on the walls.

The four arrived at the dark hole.

Inside of it was pitch black.

Lynn looked down and saw a slimy substance inside.

Lynn reached her hand and swiped it on the substance.

She looked at her hand and said one word.

"Grievers." Lynn said while looking at everyone else.

Suddenly, a flashing red dot appeared in the hole.

Everyone quickly looked at it before it disappeared.

A red circle then appeared, flashing and shrinking back towards the red dot.

The red dot became bright as a large red line of light swiped up and scanned them.

"Holy fuck." Luke said.

The four backed up as the line went back down and hit them again.

Suddenly an alarm sound came from above.

The four looked up.

A squealing sound came inside the hole.

"What the hell was that?" Colton said loudly.

The four back inside the hole.

Suddenly, a loud alarm was heard from behind them.

A large shifting sound came from the opened walls.

"We gotta get outta here!" Lynn said.

The four began jogging away from the hole as the walls that opened before began closing.

"Gimme the key!" Lynn shouted.

Lincoln threw the object at Lynn.

Lynn caught it and put it in her supply vest.

The four then started running from the hole as the walls closed down.

The star shaped wall began closing back. Covering the hole.

"Move! Move!" Luke shouted.

The four kept running back towards the blades on the walkway.

The four exited the new zone and arrived at the blades.

A loud sound began echoing down towards them.

The blades began shifting sideways.

The four stopped running and looked at the blades.

"What the fuck!?" Luke yelled.

The blades began covering the previous pathways.

"Run! We're gonna get trapped!" Lynn shouted as she began running.

The three without hesitation began following her.

The rusty blades kept turning sideways, blocking their exits.

The four barely cut through two blades.

"Keep running!" Lynn shouted.

Two blades blocked their straight line.

Lynn quickly turned to her right.

The rest followed.

The other blades in front of them shifted.

"Left! Left!" Lynn shouted as she made a left. The rest made a left quickly, barely avoiding the blades.

The four ran as fast as they could down the hall of blades.

Lynn cut through a blade.

Luke and Colton followed her.

The blade shifted before Lincoln could reach.

Lincoln turned to his left and began racing against the blades.

"Lincoln!" Luke yelled.

Lincoln kept running as the blades shifted faster.

Lincoln yelled as he saw an opening between two blades and went in between.

Lincoln ran into Luke.

Luke catched him before all four continued running.

All the blades finished shifting.

The four ran down the stone hall, escaping the madness.

The four stopped running and catched their breath.

"That….that was...that was fucking crazy!" Luke shouted out of his breath.

Lynn sighed and wiped her forehead before speaking.

"I think that's enough for one day. We'll go back there tomorrow." Lynn said.

The three nodded at this statement.

Lynn began jogging.

"Come on! Let's go!" Lynn shouted.

Lincoln shook his head before breathing. He then started running behind her.

Luke and Colton looked at him, still out of breath.

"How is he not out of breath?" Luke asked.

Colton sighed before jogging up behind them.

Luke took a deep breath before jumping up and jogging.

The four arrived at the doors to the glade. A group of gladers were waiting for them.

The four ran over a puddle before rejoining the other gladers.

"What the hell was going on out there?" Jordan asked.

"What have you done now, Lincoln?" Sully asked.

The four kept walking further from the maze.

The gladers let them through before turning around and following them.

"We've found something. A new passage, and we think it could be a way out!" Lincoln answered.

Luna walked up towards them.

"Really?" Luna asked.

Lynn nodded her head.

"It's true! We opened a door, I've never seen it before. I think it's where the grievers go." Lynn said.

Clyde ran up next to Lincoln.

"Wait, so you guys are saying you found the griever's home? And you want us to go in?" Clyde asked.

Lincoln looked at Clyde.

"Their way in could be our way out." Luke replied.

"Yeah, or, there could be a dozen grievers on the other side! The truth is, Lincoln doesn't know what he's done, as usual!" Sully shouted.

Lincoln turned around and faced Sully.

"Well at least I did something, Sully! I mean, what have you done? Aside from hiding behind these walls all the time?" Lincoln shouted.

Everyone stopped walking and faced the two.

Ronnie was shocked.

Everyone was shocked how Lincoln responded.

"Let me tell you something, Greenie, what you're doing is going to get us all killed. What if going to that griever place, will just attract them over here? Your actions are putting all of us and the glade at risk!" Sully shouted back.

"No, your actions are putting all of us at risk! If we sit here and do nothing, we're all just gonna die! The box isn't coming back up! So we need to do something, in order to survive!" Lincoln yelled.

Luke and Clyde nodded.

The other gladers just stared at them.

"Yeah, and the box not coming back up, who's fault is that?" Sully said.

A voice came from behind them.

"Guys, Bobby's awake!" Tal said as he ran over.

Aazay and Lori looked at each other before running over.

Lincoln, Lynn, Carol, Francisco and Ronnie followed them.

Was Bobby still crazy? Did the serum even work? Lincoln thought.

The seven ran over to the medical hut, hoping Bobby wasn't insane.
