After leaving the Safari Zone with two new friends in tow, the gang are continuing on their journey. But at the moment, they were at the lodge in the Pokémon Center. They were at a bridge earlier, an officer had told them that it wasn't really ready yet, only the bike track was. Seeing no other option when they opted to get some bikes but were unsuccessful so they decided to head to the Pokémon Center to think of something else. Ember decided to call her mom to see how she was doing.

["Ketchum Residence."] Delia greeted when she appeared on the screen.

"Hi mom." Ember greeted.

["Ember! How are you, honey?"] Delia asked, smiling.

"I'm fine, mom. How are you?" Ember asked.

["I'm just fine and thank you for sending the two Poliwag's over."] Delia thanked.

"Thought you would need more help in the garden. How are Roserade, Persian, and Yamper doing?" Ember asked.

["Rose has been a great help to me with the garden. Bastet and Yampy like the attention I give to them. Not to mention that they easily gets along with anyone, too."] Delia replied.

"I'm glad. Well, I gotta go. My friends and I have to think of a way to get to the next town." Ember said.

["Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll figure something out, my dear."] Delia assured her.

"Thanks, mom. Good bye." Ember waved.

["Good bye."] Delia waved back before the screen went black.

Ember put the phone back and walked back over to her friends. She sat down next to Misty who sat next to Brock. Lucario was leaning against the couch with his arms folded across his chest.

"So what do we do? We can't pass through without the bikes." Misty pointed out.

"We'll think of something," Brock said positively, "We always do."

"(I'm surprised you're positive during this kind of situation, Brock.)" Lucario commented.

"Excuse me, if you could spare some time, would you mind helping me out?" A female voice asked.

The gang looked over their shoulders and saw Nurse Joy. Brock gazed at her and then blushed. He leaped over to her and held her hand.

"Please let me help. I just love caring for Pokémon. It's my life. Please. Please, miss. Miss." Brock pleaded, "Uh, by the way, are you by any chance related to the Joy in Gringy City?"

"I'm her cousin." Nurse Joy replied, slightly nervous.

"Ah, but you're much, much prettier than she is." Brock flirted.

"(Does he always have to act like this?)" Lucario asked.

Ember sighed, "Every time he sees a Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, or any beautiful woman."

"That's just fine, but..." Nurse Joy pulled her hand away and picked up her clipboard, "I'm worried about the Pokémon in Sunny Town, just over the bridge, that's very sick." Nurse Joy said with a sad expression.

Brock blinked, "Huh?"

Nurse Joy walked over to the counter and showed the gang the medicine, "I need someone to deliver this medicine to the Pokémon Center in Sunny Town. Normally I'd go myself, but I'm too busy with sick Pokémon to leave the center right now."

"It's just over the bridge, right?" Ember asked.

Nurse Joy nodded, "That's right."

"But we don't have any bicycles." Misty stated.

"No problem. I'll let you use some of our bicycles." Nurse Joy smiled.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy. We'll take this medicine and deliver it to the Pokémon Center in Sunny Town." Ember assured her as she took the medicine and placed it in her bag.

"The bikes are in the parking lot." Nurse Joy smiled, "And thank you."

"Bye!" The gang started to leave.

"I'd be happy to stay here and help you if you need me." Brock offered.

Misty ran back and grabbed Brock by the ear, "Come on, Brock!"

Brock screamed as Misty pulled him out of the center by his ear.

Ember, Misty, and Brock were all riding bikes along the bridge. Ember had let Lucario and Boltund run beside them. Tesla was sitting in the basket of the bike.

"This feels nice." Ember said loving the way the wind feels against her face.

"Raichu!" Tesla cheered.

"We're getting to cross the bridge after all." Brock said.

"We sure got lucky with these bikes." Misty smiled.

They continued on bicycling a little longer when they noticed a rest stop and decided to take a short break. Each took a different beverage to clench their thirst.

"Wow, I didn't think that this would be such a workout." Ember commented.

"Yeah, and since we lucked into those bikes, it won't be long till we're in Sunny Town." Brock agreed.

"Right, Brock." Misty added.

Everyone threw their empty bottles away in a trash bin.

"Okay. Time to hit the road." Ember said.

Everyone was about to get onto their bikes until they heard when they heard some noises coming towards them.

"Uh-oh. Who are they?" Misty asked.

"It's a bicycle gang." Brock replied.

Misty chuckled nervously, "Uh, a bicycle gang?"

"I think we better get out of here." Ember said.

Just as she said that they found themselves surrounded by a bicycle gang closing off their attempt to escape.

"Why does this always have to happen to us?" Ember muttered.

A biker with spiky red hair with a bit of yellow in the front, pulled off his black sunglasses, "I don't think I've seen you before, sweetheart."

Ember's hands tightened on the handle bars.

"The name's Chopper, leader of the Bike Gang." The leader introduced himself.

"We're not really from around here," Ember stated as she and the others were about to take off, "So see ya."

"Hold it!" Chopper called out which made them stop, "You're ain't going to cross this bridge without a proper introduction."

Ember sighed and got off her bike, "By introduction, you mean a Pokémon battle, right?" Ashlyn narrowed her eyes at Chopper.

A female biker with long green hair and blue eyes walked up, folded her arms, "That's right."

"I'd do anything for an introduction to a girl like you," Brock flirted and was suddenly in front of the female biker, kneeling and holding her hand, "Would you go out with me?"

Misty anime fell while Ember her Pokémon sweat dropped. The female biker ripped her hand away from Brock and slammed a bike on top of him.

"Get lost, loser. I only care about my bike and my gang." The female biker huffed with her arms folded across her chest.

"Is that a no?" Brock asked in a sad tone.

'Obviously, Brock.' Ember thought with a sweat drop on her forehead.

"I'll accept your challenge." Ember declared.

The biker gang and the gang stood on either sides of the field. Chopper and Ember stood on their sides, ready for battle.

"Hmph. You think you can play with the big boys?" Chopper taunted as he took out a Pokéball, "I'll send you home crying."

Ember made no comment.

"Golem go!" Chopper released his Golem to the field.

Ember scanned the Pokémon.

[Golem, a Megaton Pokémon. Once a year it sheds its bedrock shell and grows larger.]

"Rory." Ember released her shiny Gyarados to the field.

Rory roared when he entered the field. The bikers looked up at the Atrocious Pokémon in fear and took a step back.

"Overkill much?" Brock sweat dropped along with Misty.

"You first." Ember offered.

"All right, Golem use Gyro Ball!" Chopper ordered.

Golem spun really fast and became like a metal ball spinning with a glow in the center of it and it rolled towards Rory.

"Rory, Iron Tail." Ember countered.

Rory's tail glowed a metallic color and slammed it onto Golem, who cried out in pain from the attack.

"Golem!" Chopper cried out.

"Hydro Pump." Ember ordered, calmly.

Rory blasted his water attack at Golem, hitting it directly. Golem immediately fainted from the attack.

"Oh no, Golem return." Chopper hung his head down and returned his fallen Pokémon.

"Great job, Rory. You're getting stronger everyday." Ember praised her water Pokémon who gave a closed eye smile to her before she returned him to his Pokéball.

"Not so fast girl!" The female biker said standing next to Chopper, "I'm Tyra and I'll take you on next." She said releasing her Pokémon which was a Cloyster.

Ember sighed. She knew that they were in a hurry to get to Sunny Town and that the Bike Gang won't leave them alone unless they beat in battle, "Fine."

Ember scanned the Pokémon.

[Cloyster, the Bivalve Pokémon. The evolved form of Shellder. Its shell is incredibly strong and resistant to a bomb. Its shell only opens when it attacks.]

"Come on out, Tesla!" Tesla jumped in front of her in the field, ready to fight.

"Cloyster, Toxic Spikes!" Tyra ordered.

Cloyster fired poisonous spikes from its shell, heading straight towards Tesla.

"Tesla, dodge it and then use Thunderbolt." Ember ordered.

Tesla dodged the poisonous spikes with her speed and then appeared right in front of Cloyster. Then she launched her electrical attack at Cloyster. The Bivalve Pokémon cried out in pain and immediately fainted.

"Cloyster no!" Tyra shouted out in worry.

The biker gang looked angry at their defeats and was about to gang up on them. Then they heard sirens coming their way.

"Looks like the next town wants to rumble." Chopper said.

At first they thought it was the police, but it wasn't.

"Team Rocket." Ember muttered.

"Great." Misty groaned.

Team Rocket were doing their motto.

"Quick, let's go while the Bike Gang is distracted." Ember whispered.

Surprisingly, they were able to get pass the gang and went on towards Sunny Town. A few minutes later, the clouds began to darken and the wind blew hard on them.

Ember looked up at the sky, "Oh man." She said and took out three Pokéballs, "Tesla, Lucario, Boltund, you should go in your Pokéballs for now, you'll be warmer that way."

The three Pokemon nodded and were returned to their Pokéballs. They took off.

Soon enough, rain began to pour. Everyone stopped for a moment to put on their raincoats.

"We should hurry." Ember said.

Then the gang took off.

The rain soon started into a storm with stronger winds.

Ember looked ahead and gasped when she saw the drawbridge, "Guys, there's a drawbridge ahead!" She shouted.

Brock spotted a ship, "That ship's trying to take shelter in the bay."

"What do we do?" Misty asked.

"We'll have to wait till it gets through." Brock replied.

"No way. The sick Pokémon that waiting for us needs this medicine or it might not make it." Ember retorted, "Let's keep going."

The gang continued and jumped the drawbridge and noticed that they weren't going to make it. Then Ember saw Team Rocket and smiled.

"We'll bounce!" She said.

Ember bounced off Jessie's head, Brock bounced off James's, and Misty bounced off Meowth's. The gang landed on the other side while Team Rocket fell into the ocean.

"Alright!" Ember cheered, "We made it!"

"Wow, what a thrill!" Misty said, "Almost lost my heart back there."

Brock chuckled, "Let's keep going."

"Or maybe not." Ember grumbled when she saw the Bike Gang in front of them.

"MOVE IT!" Ember shouted, "I don't have any time to deal with you all! There's a sick Pokémon waiting for us in Sunny Town that's needs medicine! So out of our way!"

"What?" Chopper asked, shocked.

"You mean that's why you're out in this storm?" Tyra asked, in disbelief.

"That's right." Brock replied.

"Unbelievable. That's a real biker for ya." Chopper said, close to tears, and turned to his gang, "Listen up, guys! We're going to take them there in style."

The Bike gang cheered.

Ember blinked, "Huh?"

Then they surrounded the gang with Chopper and Tyra in front.

"Don't worry, Ember. We'll clear the way for you." Chopper said.

The storm had cleared as the Bike gang and the gang got closer to the Pokémon center. As soon as they got to the front, Ember immediately got off the bike, "Here, Nurse Joy." She said as she held out the bag of medicine to her.

"You made it through in a storm like this." Nurse Joy smiled as she took the medicine and turned to the sick Shellder, "Now this little one will be just fine."

She poured the medicine into the tank and as soon as the medicine hit Shellder, it blinked and smiled happily.

"Alright!" Ember and Brock cheered along with the Bike Gang.

Misty called Nurse Joy's sister and told them the good news.

"From now on, we're calling you Elegant Ember." Chopper declared.

Ember sweat dropped, "Well, gosh, I'm not really that elegant."

Tyra declared to Misty, "Mighty Misty."

Brock held Tyra's hand, "You could call me honey."

Tyra pulled her hand away and angrily slapped Brock's across his cheek.

Ember sighed, "He just never learns."

"Yup." Misty agreed.

And so, after helping a sick Pokémon, made it through a rough storm to Sunny Town, and making new friends with the Bike gang, Ember and her friends head out onto their next adventure.
