It had been over a few years since the combined efforts of Tagiru, Arresterdramon and the various heroes and heroines of the five Digital timelines had defeated Quartzmon and his Myotismon army, saving the Real and Digital World from fusing as one with Quartzmon himself.
With Quartzmon no more and his Data purified into a harmless Digi-Egg, all but Tagiru and the Fusion Fighters left the reality and had their memories erased from ever encountering their heroic timeline counterparts and stopping Quartzmon as to prevent any unforeseen time paradoxes or problems that could occur.
But as the years passed, so too did the faith the guardians of the Digital World as they observed the maturity and strength their selected heroes developed, with Gennai, the Digimon Sovereigns, Celestial Digimon and the Old Clock Shop Man all believing that the five worlds were ready, not only to have their memories restored but to make the five Digital Worlds into one.
Alongside the Royal Knights of the DATS dimension, the guides/any ideas of the five Digital Worlds used their power to combine the Digital Worlds into one and placed the five timelines together, allowing the Digidestined, Tamers, Legendary Warriors, DATS team and the Fusion Fighters to see one another once again.
Though it took time, a treaty of peace was eventually signed between the newly formed worlds, with Gennai, Yamaki and Sampson acting on behalf of the Real World, while Azulongmon, Ophanimon and Shoutmon represented the Digital World, which caused both worlds to flourish.
Not only were Digimon welcomed to the Real World, where they could find housing, employment or even search for a human to call their partner, but also humans were allowed in the Digital World, able to visit or even start a new life within the second world.
And while it took time for the five separate teams of Digi-Heroes to adjust to these changes, overcoming their initial hardships, the five teams soon accepted each other and became one, forming a strong bond and stronger friendships.
Currently, within the Digidestined's reality, within her bedroom, the eighteen year old Kari Kamiya stirred lightly as she slowly opened her eyes, waking from her rest and rising to a sitting position, this not only allowing her to look ahead and smile sweetly at her Digimon partner, Gatomon, who was curled up at the end of her bed, but with Kari now up and the blankets no longer covering her body, her body could be seen, with the brunette wearing a light pink nightgown, the article of clothing only highlighting her already natural beauty, showing off her slender arms and her D-cup sized breasts through her unintended cleavage.
While Kari had always been the attention of many male students, and the envy of a handful of female students, the years continued to mature and add to the brunette's beauty, giving her an amazing figure, while Kari kept her brown hair short, liking the classic style despite Mimi's continued offers to alter and dye it.
Slowly bringing her hand out as to lightly rub Gatomon awake, Kari withdrew and decided to let her partner rest a little longer, giving her time to get up and change.
Dropping her nightgown and revealing the white bra and panties she was wearing underneath, the Digidestined of Light made her way over to her wardrobe, opening the left door and looking upon the variety of clothing she had, including a cheerleader's outfit, which wasn't a costume or something she'd normally parade around in, it was her uniform, the clothing she wore as part of Odaiba High's cheerleaders, the uniform she'd wear whenever she would cheer on the class' soccer team and namely their team captain, Davis Motomiya.
Sighing to herself as she took out an outfit to wear for the day, consisting of a pink top, a white jacket, with black trimmings around the shoulders and elbows, alongside long white stockings and a pair of yellow shorts, Kari let her mind wander as she thought about her maroon haired friend.
Thinking about Davis, and finding that over the years she just continued to think more and more about him, Kari thought back to the most recent soccer match she had seen Davis participate in.
Though she was a fair distance from the team and in the midst of her cheerleader routine, from what she saw, Kari not only saw Davis showing speed, skills and even some wit as he rushed along the field, but after one of the opposing players sprained his knee, the maroon haired Digidestined called a timeout and checked upon the injured player, doing what he could to help them.
As Davis had shown such changes in his school life, it was also reflected in his duties as a Digidestined.
A few years back, the Davis Kari knew would charge head first into a fight, the Digidestined showed his maturity and would try to defuse a situation with his words and some logic.
When the times that fighting was inevitable, Davis showed his strength alongside his partner, Veemon, using their only growing bond to defeat their foes.
And even though there were times Davis had put himself in great risk, each time and from each position, Kari knew it was in order to protect those around him, remembering an instance where the Digidestined of Miracles tried to shield Kari's best female friend, Yolei Inoue, and her partner, Hawkmon from a rampaging Tyrannomon.
Despite saving her life, Yolei still chewed Davis out, who, in the past, would've snapped back and argued with the purple haired girl for the next half hour, but instead, he accepted full responsibility.
Thinking upon Davis' morales, it brought a small smile to Kari's face, his courage, his loyalty, his kindness, all aspects that made her admire him, to the point of, unsure when they first appeared, Kari found herself slowly developing a crush on her maroon haired friend.
"Kari, you ok?" Gatomon then asked as she had awoken not too long ago and found her partner seeming to stare off into space, before reminding the brunette. "We're supposed to meet everyone at DATS soon."
Shaking her head, Kari faced Gatomon with a trusting and assuring smile.
"It's nothing, Gatomon. Just let me take a quick shower and we'll get going." The Digidestined of Light replied, her tone trying to match the smile on her face.
But looking as her partner grabbed her clothing and headed to the bathroom, Gatomon knew something was troubling the brunette, causing Gatomon to sigh and question herself. 'Why do I feel like something bad is going to happen today?'
-Later-
Having arrived at the DATS facility, the headquarters where the Digi-heroes would meet up as to receive their briefings on the latest status of the Digital World and how to best tackle the issues, within the briefing room, the eighteen age year old Davis Motomiya stood around with a few of his friends and teammates, which included Takato Matsuki and Mikey Kudo, the leader of the Digimon Tamers and General of the Fusion Fighters, while their partners, Guilmon and Shoutmon sat at one of the tables, being handed a freshly cooked meal by Veemon, who had learnt how to cook from watching Davis countless times.
And though he wasn't as good compared to his partner, Veemon's cooking was much appreciated.
With the Digimon occupied, this allowed Davis to talk freely to his friends, his expression of some seriousness as he asked. "So what do you think Sampson's got for us today?"
"From the way the Digimon have been acting, it's something big." Takato said in reply, noticing within a certain area of the Digital World, there seemed to be a growing tension within the Digimon that occupied it and made it their home, as though there was something that they greatly feared.
"We've faced all kinds of dangers before. All we need to do is continue to fight as a team and nothing can stop us." Mikey then added with a trusting smile, trying to keep the morale of his friends up.
"I hope so." Davis replied with a smile of his own as he looked around and at the rest of their teams, seeing many conversing with one another.
But turning his head, Davis' smile grew as he saw Kari and Gatomon walk in.
Despite all the years, Davis only found his feelings for the brunette growing, turning from a childish crush and into something more, imagining a life with the brunette beyond just mere friendship, feelings Veemon shared as he took a moment to admire the Digimon of Light.
But as quickly as those thoughts came, Davis shook his head, knowing that Kari only saw him as another, if most, a close friend, which hurt a little, though Davis didn't want to be selfish and wanted Kari to be happy, even if it meant not being with her.
Davis was then brought out of his thoughts when he felt an arm around his shoulder, looking to see Takuya smirking at him as the Warrior of Fire offered. "Maybe you should just go over and at least ask her out already. We can make it a double date and I'll bring Zoe along."
"Knock it off." Davis just growled as he pushed Takuya's arm off of him, where he looked back to see Kari, seeing the Digidestined of Light now conversing with Rika, Nene and Yoshi.
"I already know how Kari feels and I already know the answer." Davis then added with a small sigh, before he saw Kari look in his direction, where she gave him a big smile, one that always made him feel special.
A moment later, Sampson, Gennai and Yamato walked into the room, getting everyone's attention as they all moved to sit down and let the three explain what was going on.
"As you know, the newer forest area has been having some issues of late. Digimon disappearing, while those that remain seem to be under a constant state of fear or anxiety." Sampson began to say, his words followed as Miki typed on her terminal, bringing up a map of the area in the Digital World in question, showing a blinking area on the maps that got everyone's attention.
"There are some unusual energy readings coming from this area, so we want to send a team in to investigate." Kudamon then added, allowing Sampson to resume his command, looking at the group as he said. "The recon team will be led by Davis and Veemon, with Kari, Gatomon, Rika, Renamon, Zoe, Takuya, Cody, Armadillomon, Joe and Gomamon providing assistance. You'll scout the area and report back any findings. Do not engage any threats unless needed."
The group in question nodded, before heading towards the room that was set up as a portal to and from the new Digital World, none aware of what fate had in store for them today.
-Hours later-
With Davis and Veemon in the lead, the small group made their way through the forest path towards the signal, with many of them noticing how different the woods seemed to be as a light mist loomed around it, a dark feeling about it like some kind of fairy tale.
Meanwhile, at the back of the group, and not paying too much attention to their surroundings and more interested in their friend, Zoe had gotten close to Kari and asked in a quiet voice. "So have you asked Davis out yet? I could even drag Takuya along to make it more comfortable if you want."
Kari blushed lightly at the question, before shaking her head and stating back defensively. "Stop that, we're just friends."
"Sure, friends look at each other and sigh dreamily like you so when you see him." The blonde then replied with a wink and a teasing smile, only causing Kari to blush even further.
"Don't push her, she'll talk to him when she's ready." Rika cut in, defending Kari, trying not to be pushy, but add to the conversation herself.
"But what if Davis meets somebody before Kari's ready?" Zoe asked back, turning to look at Davis, who was looking at his D-3 and talking with Takuya and Cody, and added. "A guy like him won't be around forever."
"C'mon. We both know how much Davis cares about Kari." Rika replied, before pointing out. "All those clumsy attempts for attention weren't just to show off."
Kari blushed even more at this, not just from remembering all the times Davis tried to impress her, but also out of embarrassment at the fact that on another world her personal life seemed to be aired on TV and other forms of media.
Though both girls continued to bring up good points in their logic for Kari whether or not to ask Davis out, even for lunch, Rika and Zoe ceased their lightly heated arguing when Renamon landed between the pair.
"I have nothing to report regarding our surroundings." The foxy Digimon began to say, focused on their task, only to then add. "However, I mightn't know as much about human mating rituals as you, but I believe it is Kari's decision whether or not she attempts to entice Davis as her mate."
This comment, though logical to Renamon, caused Kari to gain a full body blush, which caused Zoe to giggle lightly, Rika to groan at her partner's words, Joe, who was a few feet in front of the girls, to laugh nervously, and Gomamon to snicker.
The only one close to them that didn't pay attention to what Renamon said was Gatomon, the uneasy feeling she had earlier returning as she looked around, taking in the sights of the darkening and foreboding woods, feeling something almost familiar about them.
'Why does this all look so familiar to me?' She wondered as she continued to look around the area, continuing to feel an uneasiness filling her.
"The signals are coming from there." Davis then cut in at the head of the group as he pointed, where Gatomon's eyes followed his pointed finger, only to pale at the sight before her, her breath becoming shallow as she stared at a dark, ruined castle off in the distance, one she remembered clearly as she unconsciously covered her left paw.
Myotismon's Castle.
Seeing the now familiar building, Gatomon found her mind then began replaying the images of her past self, being tormented by Myotismon, tortured by the vampiric Digimon which managed to manipulated her off her path as a chosen Digimon, to help him in his dark agenda, and almost killing Kari before she knew who she was too her.
"Gatomon, you alright?" She then heard Veemon ask, snapping her out of her thoughts as she turned to see The Digimon of Courage and Friendship looking at her worriedly, while Joe and Gomamon didn't look much better themselves.
"That's Myotismon's old castle!" The Digimon of Reliability let out with a clear shock in his tone, hot only afraid of what had occurred in the past, but what could possibly be inside presently as his words caught Davis, Veemon, Kari, Cody, Armadillomon and Rika's attention.
"Who's Myotismon?" Takuya asked in confusion, guessing from the growing dread in the atmosphere, he wasn't a friend.
"Myotismon was a freak who tried to take over our world, twice. First bringing an army to Odaiba to hunt down Kari and eliminate her before she could stop him, with Kari and Gatomon meeting and Gatomon becoming Angewomon to take him down the first time, only for him to come back as a Mega and Agumon and Gabumon going Mega as well to stop him." Gomamon informed, his words causing the Digidestined to nod and for Armadillomon to add. "The second time he came back in another form and placed our partners in illusion worlds where their greatest desires would come true. He believed this would allow him to destroy us with no problem, the only thing he didn't count on was Davis' greatest wish, to gain the power to defeat him. It took a lot, but we managed to knock him down a few pegs."
"We hope, at least." Davis then added with a serious tone, hoping that this new threat wasn't a sign of the dark Digimon returning once again.
"Sounds like a fun guy." Takuya replied sarcastically, while Zoe, who was thinking about Lucemon, added with her own growl. "Reminds me of someone we knew."
Making their way ahead and prepared to confront whatever was lurking within the halls of the old castle, Veemon stopped when saw how Gatomon was almost hyperventilating, a sight that filled Kari, Davis, Cody, Aramdillomon, Joe and Gomamon with empathy toward the feline Digimon, knowing what she went through because of Myotismon's evil.
But acting on his feelings, out of care for the Digimon of Light, Veemon set his hand on Gatomon's shoulder, comforting her as he said softly and sincerely. "Gatomon, I know I could never understand the pain you went through back then, but whatever you're thinking, you have to remember you have others who care about you now, who are grateful to have you in their lives."
Gatomon smiled weakly at Veemon's words and at the V marked Digimon himself, finding his words true to her heart and quite comforting, which brought a smile to everyone else's faces, before a loud shriek caught their attention, where they all quickly shielded their eyes as something rushed out of the trees and into the air above them.
Opening their eyes, Kari, Gatomon, Joe and Gomamon panicked to see a swarm of bats, Myotismon's bats, flying above them, bringing back memories of these creatures devouring innocent Digimon to feed their Master.
"What the heck?!" Takuya let out, before a much louder roar caught everyone's attention, looking to see dozens of Devidramon flying out of the castle towards them, each with a look of bloodlust in their eyes.
"It seems whoever lives there now doesn't like guests." Gomamon commented at the sight.
"Too bad we didn't come for a friendly visit." Renamon said in reply as she moved ahead of Rika and waited for her Tamer's commands.
"They're not going to let us leave without a fight, so we should give them one then." Davis stated as he took out his D-3, getting nods from everyone as they prepared to fight.
"Veemon, Digivolve to... ExVeemon!" Veemon called out as his body was covered in energy, before emerging as his Champion form, keeping many features as Veemon and his dragon side, with the inclusion of a pair of white wings, a longer tail, a powerful horn emerging from his face, alongside a X marking set upon his more developed chest.
"Gatomon, armour Digivolve to... Nefertimon, the Angel of Light!" Gatomon then followed with a proud call as she changed into her Armoured evolution.
Through the power of the Digi-Egg of Light, Gatomon lost a fair amount of her feline form and found herself in place with a sphynx-like body, with her upper body protected by silver armour, her front paws set with pink jeweled gauntlets, while her face was covered by a plain silver mask and golden snake patterned headband, alongside a pair of golden cat-like ears.
Though Nefertimon seemed almost like a whole new Digimon when compared to Gatomon, her body consisted of white fur, cat-like hind legs and a familiar white and purple striped tail.
And flying close to ExVeemon, the duo watched the Devidramon get closer, waiting for the right moment to attack.
"Renamon, time to Digivolve!" Rika called, keeping her D-Power drawn and directed toward Renamon, finding that with her years as a Tamer, alongside the added assistance of their new friends, allowed Renamon to achieve her Champion and Ultimate forms with more ease and no further use for Cards.
"Renamon Digivolve to... Kyubimon!" Renamon let out as the data covering her body altered, changing her into a more beastly form, with her taking to all fours, her tail spreading out and into nine separate tails, before she gave a mighty howl, ready to fight.
"Execute! Beast Spirit/Spirit Evolution!" Takuya and Zoe announced alongside one another, their beings circled by cocoons of data as the duo fused and became one with their elemental Spirits.
"BurningGreymon!" Takuya then let out with a deeper and almost growling voice, dispelling the data around him and revealing his changes, showing that the Warrior of Flame was now clad in deep red armour, a pair of golden wings emerged from out his back, while he held a more draconic appearance.
"Kazemon!" Zoe followed up, allowing the data around her to fade and revealing her more delicate form compared to Takuya's, showing that though she maintained a more human side to her, her clothing and features had changed, with the Warrior of Wind now clad in pink garments, just barely covering her body, a set of butterfly-like wings spread out from her back, long purple hair replaced the blonde hair she had, while a silver visor covered her eyes.
But despite her appearance, the others knew Kazemon was a Digimon not to be taken lightly.
With their friends prepared to take on the dark forces closing in on them, so too were Joe, Gomamon, Cody and Armadillomon, the pair drawing their respective Digivices upward and allowing the energies within to evolve their partners.
"Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!" The Digimon of Reliability announced, changing from the small Rookie he was and into the familiar beastly walrus-like Digimon.
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!" Armadillomon called, maintaining a fair amount of his original form in his Champion form, only his body was covered in spikes, he grew to an intense size and his tail now sported a morningstar-like implement, where he and Ikakakumon moved in front of their human friends as to protect them from the dark forces launched against them.
While Ikkakumon and Ankylomon were unable to combat the attackers from afar, the remaining Digimon set themselves into action, with ExVeemon and Nefertimon starting off.
"Vee Laser!" ExVeemon let out with a mighty roar, releasing a powerful surge of energy from the X pattern on his chest, blasting down several Devidramon, which dispersed into Data particles as they crashed down.
"Rosetta Stone!" Nefertimon followed up, summoning a giant stone slab, which she then launched at the Devidramon, the stone's force impacting through a small fraction of the Dark Digimon and too reducing them to mere Data.
"Nice shot!" ExVeemon called encouragingly to Nefertimon, giving the Digimon of Light a quick thumbs up, before refocusing himself on their fight.
Had Nefertimon not had on her mask, it'd show her appreciative smile and light blush.
But focusing herself, the Digimon of Light returned to battle, using her Golden Noose attack and working alongside ExVeemon to further cut down the Devidramon army.
"Fox Tail Inferno!" Kyubimon then bellowed, springing into action as she raised her tails, all nine lit with blue orbs of flame, which she then threw off and each setting a Devidramon in a growing blue blaze.
"Pyro Barrage!" BurningGreymon roared, drawing open the golden gauntlets set around his wrists and casting out a stream of blazing shots, paying careful attention to his surroundings as to strike down the Devidramon and not accidentally target an ally.
"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon announced from her side of the battle as she gathered pink energy in her fingertips and threw it forward, forming a tornado, which dragged in and destroyed a few Devidramon, brining a proud smile to the Warrior of Wind's face, while knowing that her boyfriend shared the feelings toward her.
"Nice job, Z!" BurningGreymon then called, causing Kazemon to face him as she started to reply. "Thanks, Takuya, I..."
"Harpoon Torpedo!" A familiar voice called out, where Kazemon felt a explosion behind her, turning to see a Devidramon that nearly struck her from behind being hit by Ikkakumon's missile, causing her to look down at the walrus-like Digimon as Ankylomon struck a Devidramon with his tail.
"You're all doing a great job out there, but don't get cocky. We're not out of the woods yet." Ikkakumon said with a fair sternness, before finding two Devidramon slam into his being, trying to repel the Digimon of Reliability.
But pushing back, Ikkakumon managed to throw the Devidramon to the air, cast forth another Harpoon Torpedo and blast the duo to bits.
Nearby, the humans watched with growing concerns, before Kari felt something suddenly wrap around her body, pulling her back as she let out a great cry, getting Davis, Joe, Cody and Rika's attention as they quickly turned towards her direction,, the sight shocking the others to find the brunette restrained and now hoisted over the shoulder of another foe.
But what shocked them the most, especially Davis and Cody, was who it was that now held Kari, seeing Mummymon one again, with Arukenimon next to him.
Only, unlike the last time they saw the pair, the Digidestined noticed something off about them.
Their eyes seemed empty, almost black, and parts of their bodies seemed to be breaking down or degraded, almost like they were a zombie version of themselves.
"Love to stay... and chat... but the Master's waiting..." Arukenimon just/then said in a broken and disjoined voice, before the pair quickly turned and moved towards the castle, their captive in their grasp as Kari screamed.
"Kari!" Davis yelled as he took off after the duo, ExVeemon and Nefertimon quickly followed as they rushed to save the Digidestined of Light.
Though BurningGreymon and the others wanted to follow along and help Davis save Kari from their enemy's clutches, though the Devidramon numbers had been cut down drastically, with a select few remaining, just after Davis, ExVeemon and Nefertimon their way within the castle's walls, a sudden wall of flame erupted behind the Digidestined of Miracles, cutting the remainder of the group away from the castle's entrance.
With Kazemon, Rika, Anklyomon, Kyubiimon ready to use what they had to dispel the flames, from the inferno, a chained figure stepped out, revealing to be a SkullMeramon, which shared the same ominous presence as the Devidramon.
"Guys!" Davis called at seeing the new threat now up against his friends.
Wanting to help them, Davis stopped when Kazemon called back. "Go! We've got this hothead. You go, be the hero and save Kari."
Nodding in reply, and trusting his teammates, Davis headed off, grabbing on and jumping up upon ExVeemon's back, before ExVeemon and Nefertimon flew down the halls, all feeling a growing dread to what could occur to the Digidestined of Light, preying they could save her before anything happened.
.
.
.
Groaning lightly as her senses came back to her, Kari found herself still wrapped in the bandages, her body suspended by the ragged, yet enforced cloths now attached to the ceiling.
Looking around, Kari found herself in some kind of throne room, leaving her wondering who was the mastermind behind all that had occurred, only to then feel a dark presence, causing her to look forward as a dark mist seeped into the room, pooling on the ground before her, before moving upward, taking the form of a humanoid's upper body, where a pair of two yellow eyes formed, followed by a familiar laugh, one that still haunted Kari's nightmares.
"Myotismon!?" Kari let out with a growing fear. "But we destroyed you..."
"You reduced me to a mere shadow of my former self. I give you insect credit for that, but I am far from gone, and I have waited a long time for this moment." Myotismon, or at least the shadow of him, replied, expressing a growing darkness with the later of his reply.
Struggling against her bindings, Kari snapped with confidence. "You won't get away, Davis and the others will stop you. I'm not afraid of you!"
"You should be." Myotismon replied with a dark laugh, before adding in a sinister tone. "Killing you would be too easy, I have something far better in mind."
Kari was confused and slightly worried as to what he meant, before the shadow seemed to gain two extra heads, ones Kari quickly recognized as those the vampiric Digimon held as MaloMyotismon, causing her fear to quickly escalate.
"Prepare yourself, Child of Light. Mental Illusion!" Myotismon called out as a blinding light filled the area, leaving all but white around Kari, while in reality, the brunette's head slumped down, her body went limp as she fell under Myotismon's spell.
.
.
.
Blinking her eyes, Kari soon found herself in a dark lit room, dark laughter all around her, before she saw hundreds of dark tendrils emerging from the shadows, creeping towards her.
Then, without warning, the tendrils shot at Kari, as though to impale her, causing Kari to cry out.
"Kari! Move!" The brunette heard Davis call out, opening her eyes to see Davis just as he pushed her to the ground, causing her to let out a groan as she started to get back up.
"Thank you, Davis, I..." Kari started to say expressing her gratitude, which suddenly faded, her eyes widening in horror at the sight before her, seeing the sharp tendrils impale Davis, his lifeless body hanging in their grasp, a sight that caused Kari to scream in pure terror.
"Davis!" Kari screamed as the tendrils dropped the maroon haired boy, where she rushed over to him, trying to check if he was still alive.
However, holding Davis in her arms, seeing the blood dripping down his lip and no longer hearing him breathing, seeing his chest move or show any signs of life, Kari began sobbing.
"No... please, No!" Kari screamed, seeing the tendrils circling around her as she called out to anyone, begging. "Please help me!"
"Why should we?" TK's voice was heard from the darkness, before it added with a growing coldness. "It just seems every time we try, you wind up in more trouble."
"Can't you do anything right?" Tai's voice was then heard as it then said in anger. "He's dead because of you!"
"You're weak, pathetic, he'd still be alive if it wasn't for you!" Gatomon's voice then joined in.
"I don't know why you're so upset. It's not like you cared about him." Yolei's voice followed, expressing the same cold and harshness of the others.
"Stop... stop it!" Kari cried out as she covered her ears, trying to remind herself that it was Myotismon and his illusions, closing her eyes to try and fight against it.
But when she opened them, she saw herself standing near a cliff, and Davis seemingly clutching to the edge, losing his grip.
Reacting to the sight, Kari tried to rush over and to help in his aid, but found Davis seemed to get further and further away, until it was too late, his grip failed, and he fell, causing Kari to scream at seeing him die once again, where the illusion changed again, and again, constantly showing Davis dying or greatly injured.
And it was always Kari's fault.
.
.
.
Myotismon's shadow smirked as he watched Kari's body struggling in her restraints as she screamed and cried in agony, her mind slowly breaking within the tormenting illusions playing in her mind.
His revenge had only just begun.
