The second to last chapter. This has been fun to write and I like seeing the "shoe on the other foot" With Regina being little. *Ending is NSFW*

Chapter 9

With Gina in school and Emma using any free moment to make their lives fun, two months went by far too quickly. Emma sat on a bench watching Gina play with Alexandra.

"Emma, you're pouting." Ashley said with a bit of a chuckle.

Emma sighed. "Zelena called and said the potion was ready. I had completely forgotten that this day was coming up and I'm not ready."

Ashley put her hand on Emma's. "Aren't you ready to talk to Regina? To tell her how you feel and see what happens?"

"Maybe. I mean, what if she hates me after this? What if she's mad at me for going through her things, her journal? What if she doesn't want me anymore?"

Ashley looked at little Gina and back at Emma. "What if she does? What if, in six years, you're sitting here with her watching your own little one play? A little blonde kid with brown eyes, or a brunette with green eyes? How amazing would that be?"

Emma sighed. "Ashley, I learned long ago not to hope for things because they never happen. I'm so scared…I have this ominous feeling that something bad is going to happen; that she and I will never be close again."

Ashley put her hand on Emma's. "That's your fear talking. Emma, I don't know what will happen, no one does, but what I do know is you and Regina will be okay. You'll work it out. You may not have hope, but I do."

That afternoon, Emma sat Gina down. "Honey, the potion is ready to make you big again. The moon will be full tomorrow, so we have to do it then. I don't know if you remember, but last time I threw a big party for you. Would you like that again?"

Gina sadly shook her head. "No. I knew it was coming up, so I already tolded goodbye to the kids at school." She looked at Emma. "Will you still love me when I'm big?"

Emma pulled Gina into her arms and hugged her, kissing her cheek. "I will always love you, Gina. Always." She wanted to ask if she'd still love her, but she knew that wasn't fair. "I have loved every second with you; from when you were two, until today. I love hearing your giggles, your sass, I love seeing you in your little red leather jacket. I am so glad I got to take care of you."

Gina smiled and cuddled in with Emma. "I've haded so much fun with you, Mommy. You're the best mommy in the world! I hope I remember all of this when I'm bigger because it's been so special."

Emma blinked tears. "Me too, baby girl." She took a breath and put on a smile. "So, what do you want to do tonight?"

Gina lay her head on Emma's chest. "I wanna just be with you." After a pause she added. "And maybe go have more corney dogs at Granny's."

Emma chuckled and kissed Gina's forehead. "Sounds like a plan."

"Hello Little Majesty!" Ruby gushed. "I was hoping I'd see you tonight."

Gina smiled, but her heart wasn't in it. "I'm gonna be big after today."

"I know, honey. I'm going to miss you, but I cannot wait to see big Regina." Ruby said and knelt down. "You'll still be here in her heart, baby girl."

Gina hugged Ruby. "Don't forget me."

"Never." Ruby whispered back, surprised at her tears in her eyes. "Now, what can I get you for supper?"

"Four corney dogs, two orders a-onion rings, and one large chocolate shake!"

Emma chuckled as she sat down. "You know that by heart, hmm?" She wondered if Regina would remember that or if this would be the last time sharing this meal with her.

Snow, David, Neal, Zelena, Robin, Ashley, Thomas, Thomas Jr., and Alexandra all came to Granny's and while they all talked and joked, both Gina and Emma were subdued. Gina looked at Emma with alligator tears in her eyes. "I don't wanna say goodbye."

Emma kissed her forehead. "It's not goodbye, Gina, it's see you later." When Regina cuddled in more with Emma, the blonde whispered. "Do you want me to say it for you?"

"Yes, Mommy." She said quietly, her thumb in her mouth.

Emma cleared her throat. "Gina is ready to go home, and she doesn't want to say good bye to everyone. Instead, she wants to say see you later." Emma's voice shook a bit, but she coughed to cover it.

Snow looked sympathetic and smiled at the little one. "We will see you later, Gina. Thank you so much for spending time with us and playing with us."

"Yes, thank you for being my little bean." David said. "We will see you tomorrow."

"I'll be bigger." Gina said.

"I know, but you'll still be you."

Alexandra came over and hugged Gina. "I'm glad we was friends. I hope you still like me when you're bigger."

Gina hugged her back. "I will! I promise!" She then looked at Emma. "Let's go, Mommy."

Emma gave a nod and helped Gina get her little red leather jacket on before heading out. The two walked hand in hand and once back at the mansion, they both got their jammies on and cuddled on the sofa to watch a movie.

When Emma finally decided they should get to bed, she carried a sleeping Gina upstairs and laid her on the bed. "Mommy stay."

Emma was going to stay anyway, but after hearing those words, she got right into the bed with Gina. She held her as the little one shifted and moved to lay on top of Emma, her head on her chest and her arms around her neck. "Don't let the bigger me try telling you I don't want you around. I know she's gonna try to do that, but it's not true." Gina said, sleepily.

Emma chuckled a little and kissed Gina's head. "Okay baby girl. You just sleep. I love you so, so much."

"I love you too. I'll never forget you or our time."

"Me neither, Gina. I'll never forget you."

Emma thought she'd have a hard time sleeping, but she actually slept quite well that night with Gina always either on top of her or next to her, but always touching. She woke up and saw the saddest pair of brown eyes looking at her. She stroked Gina's hair. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I don't want it to be today." Gina said, tears filling her eyes. "I don't wanna leave you, mommy."

Emma felt her own tears as she wrapped her arms around Gina. "You're not leaving me, baby girl. You will forever be in my heart." Emma allowed them to have some cuddle time before getting up. She made them a light breakfast and when Zelena knocked on the door, Gina went to open it.

"Hey, Zee." She said, letting her in. "It's time?"

"I'm sorry, Gina, but yes, it's time."

"Wait!" Snow called, coming inside with Ashley and Ruby following. "We wanted to hug you quick before…well, before it's time."

Gina gave hugs to everyone and looked around. "I think you guys should stay. I think bigger me would like you here."

"Sure, if you think that's okay." Ruby said.

They all sat down, and Gina went to Emma who was on the sofa. "I love you so much."

Emma wiped her eyes. "I love you, too. Now, let's get a blanket for you so you don't rip your clothes." She said, trying so hard not to cry. She used her magic and got a large fluffy blanket and wrapped it around Gina.

Gina took her cloths off and held the blanket, her eyes never leaving Emma's. "I'm scared."

"It's not going to hurt, honey, I promise."

Gina shook her head. "No, Mommy, I'm scared that big me is going to act like she's mad at you and push you away. It's what she always does, but she doesn't want to; she just doesn't know how to tell you things."

Emma blinked her tears and cupped Gina's face. "You don't worry about that, baby girl. Big Regina may push me away, and I may go at first, but I always push back. She can't get rid of me."

Gina hugged Emma one more time before fixing the blanket and looking at Zelena. "I'm ready." She took the potion and drank it down. She was sitting on a chair and her head slumped a bit.

"It's okay. That happened last time too." Emma assured Ruby, Snow, and Ashley.

They watched as Regina shifted, her body aging and though part of Emma wouldn't have minded keeping her little, the other part of her grew excited as she came back to the Regina she knew before.

Brown eyes blinked open and looked around confused before landing on emerald-green eyes. "Emma?"

Emma smiled, her heart full of hope. "I'm here."

Regina's face quickly was covered by her mask and she glared. "I can see that. You allowed everyone to watch me as if I was a freak show?" Her voice was harsh, and Emma winced.

"I…no, you…I mean little you said for them to stay."

"I was six, Ms. Swan." Regina grit her teeth. "Get out. Everyone get out of my house. I'm not your entertainment."

"I'm sorry, Regina. We didn't mean to upset you." Snow said, giving Emma a sympathetic look. "We'll go. It's nice to have you back." She stood with Ruby and Ashley and they left.

"Sis, I know you're probably embarrassed but you…"

"What part of get out didn't you comprehend, Zelena? Get out and take Emma with you."

"I have to get my things." Emma said, blinking back tears.

"I'll go, but after you've cooled down, I'll be back." Zelena said, disappearing in smoke.

Regina glared at Emma. "I'll have your things packed up in an hour. Get out."

"Regina, please don't push me away. So much has happened and I really think we should talk."

Regina glared at Emma. "Yes, a lot has happened. You let that filthy pirate hurt me, you let me break my arm, you sent me off to school, and let me eat trash. You let yourself into my home and treated it as your own."

"Regina, I was taking care of you." Emma said, tears filling her eyes. "I saw your letter, Regina, we need to talk."

"Oh, so add snooping through my things to the list. Ms. Swan, whatever I said before means nothing now. Go back to your pirate."

Emma wiped her eyes. "I left him." She said quietly as she walked to the door. She turned and looked at Regina. "I'll go now, but I promised little you that I would push back, and I don't break promises made to children." She then left, letting out a small sob when the door was slammed behind her.

"Emma…" Snow said softly as she had waited to see what happened. "She's just adjusting."

Emma wiped at her eyes, gritting her teeth. "She remembers. She remembers Killian hurting her and her arm being broken, and she blames me." She stopped walking and looked at her mother. "She said anything said before, in her letter means nothing." Ashley came over and put her arm on Emma's back, but Emma pulled away. "This is why I don't allow myself to hope!" She knew anyone with a window open would hear her, but she didn't care. "I let myself believe she'd be herself and everything would fall into place, that she really did love and want me, and look what that got me! A fucking broken heart! No…no, it's shattered!" She then disappeared into her signature smoke. When she reappeared, she gasped as she looked around what once was her and Killian's house. Every window was shattered, the furniture was in pieces, the words 'whore', 'slut', 'worthless', 'orphan', and others painted on the walls. All throughout the house was the same and in her room were her things from Regina's.

Snow sighed, her own heart breaking for her daughter as she watched her go. "Oh Ashley, I don't know what to do. Do I give her space or chase after her? Do I go beat down Regina's door and yell at her?"

"No, I'll do that." Zelena said, appearing before them. "I get she's angry and probably embarrassed, but she's ruining the best thing that could happen for her." Even as they spoke, they saw a shimmer of a bubble around Regina's house and even Zelena couldn't get through. "Damn stubborn witch!"

Snow's phone rang and she looked at it. "It's Emma. Hello? Emma…I can't…Emma calm down, I can't understand you." All she could hear was her baby girl sobbing and it tore her heart apart. "Where are you? Okay, I'm coming." She grit her teeth as she hung up. "I couldn't understand everything, but it sounds like Killian did a number on their house before he left. I'll talk to you two later." She then got in her car and headed to Emma's.

"I feel terrible." Ashley said. "This is not what I expected."

"Me neither." Zelena said with a sigh. She shook her head and looked at Regina's house. "Think Thomas would mind watching Robin a bit longer while I try to talk to my sister?"

"No, I'll be going home anyway. Take as much time as you need." Ashley then headed out.

"Regina Mills, you let me in now!" Zelena yelled. "I'm not going away! While I'm out here, maybe I should tell the neighbors all your secrets! Like how you use magic, so Mrs. Ginger's roses don't get as big as yours or how…" Zelena was suddenly in Regina's kitchen. "Good. What the hell is wrong with you?"

Regina, now dressed, looked at her sister. "I don't want to talk, Zelena. Why can't you respect that?"

"If you'd have been nice about it, maybe I would. But no, you have to go and break Emma's heart and be the royal bitch you think you have to be. That woman has put her life on hold for the last almost five months to take care of you and you treat her like shit?! What the actual hell, Regina?"

Regina turned around with tears in her eyes. "I'm so ashamed, Zelena. Can't you see that? Please, just give me some time. Please."

Zelena let out a sigh and hugged her sister. "Three days. That's it. I'm here for you though, don't forget that."

"Thank you."

When Zelena left, Regina sighed and looked around. Everything had been touched by Emma and her younger versions. Artwork on the fridge, pictures on the counter, clothes strewn along chairs. She shook her head and went to her office where she knew there'd be no reminders. She poured herself some cider and sat on the sofa. She had failed – miserably – and now everyone would know it. Everyone would know that she made a mistake, that she broke up Emma and Killian. It was all her fault and she felt terrible. Why couldn't she just tell Emma how she felt instead of lashing out at her? Why did she ruin everything? She looked over at her desk and saw an envelope. Sighing, she got up and ran her fingers along it – her name on the front.

Snow came into Emma's house and was in shock. She shook her head, her fists clenched in fury towards the pirate. Emma didn't deserve this, especially after what had happened at Regina's. She heard her daughter in her room and made her way up the stairs. Seeing Emma in the fetal position, sobbing on her bed as she held her blanket made Snow's own tears fall. She curled up behind her daughter and held her, enveloped her in her arms. "I've got you, sweetheart. I've got you."

Regina went up to her room and sighed, seeing everything from little Gina's stuffed animals, to her clothes. On her make up desk was a picture little Gina drew with Regina's eye liner and lipstick and Regina's lips went up in a smile. "Mommy and Gina." She read softly as she looked at the picture. Tears formed in her eyes as she thought about just how amazing Emma had been with her. She turned and saw the mini red leather jacket and took it, sitting on her bed. She held the jacket to her nose as she remembered the day they got this.

Gina came out of school after her first full week and ran to Emma. "I gotted a special sticker today!"

Emma beamed. "You did? For what?"

"Because I stayed inside at recess with Jenny today. She couldn't go outside because her um…what's that called when people can't breathe?"

Emma knew Jenny's story, so she knew what Gina was talking about. "Asthma."

"Yes, that! Her azma was acting up so she hadded to stay inside, so I stayed with her and played Candy Land. Mrs. Herman said it was very nice of me, but I just said I didn't want Jenny to be alone. So, I gotted a special friend sticker." She proudly showed Emma the sticker on her chest.

Emma couldn't stop smiling as she picked Gina up and placed kisses on her face. "I'm so proud of you. Come on, I think this deserves a present!"

Emma had taken her to the store and told Gina to pick out what ever she wanted. Gina wanted a toy, but on her way to the toys, she passed the clothing section and she stopped. "Mama! It's just like yours! Oh, can I get it? Please can I get it?"

Emma saw the red leather jacket and grinned. "You really want that?"

"Yes! Please, mommy?"

"Okay, baby girl. That's what you'll get."

Gina was so excited and happy that she wore the jacket out of the store and wore it every day since.

"Mom, I don't want to break my promise to Gina, but I can't…I can't handle the rejection again. How do I do this? How do I go back to just being friends after everything? And what the hell do I do with this house?"

Snow sighed. "I can see if Zelena will come deal with the house, but Emma, don't give up on Regina. You love her, right?"

"Yes. I have for a long time."

"Then don't give up. Do what you told Gina you would do and push back."

Regina opened the letter, her hands shaking.

Regina,

I'm not as great with words as you are, but I'm going to try. Like you, I've had feelings for you for a long time. If I had to try and pinpoint an exact time and place, I'd say it was when you came charging at me for cutting your apple tree. It took everything I had to not take you in my arms and kiss you. Of course, that terrified me because all I could think was if I told you, you'd laugh at me and reject me and I'd had enough rejection in my life.

To be honest, that reason alone is what stopped me almost every time from telling you. I had no idea what I'd do if you rejected me. However, as soon as I drank the potion Killian gave me to remember Pan's curse, I knew I had to tell you. What you gave me, Regina, your memories, real memories that were yours, was such a gift. I remember being excited and a tad bit scared when I got to town and I went into Granny's, ready to profess my love for you and…you were with Robin. You looked happy. It crushed me, but it also made me happy in a way, because you were happy. You deserved to be happy, and I was not going to take that away from you.

It seems we both were stupid. We both assumed things, lied to each other, when we could have been happy together. Mom, Zelena, Ashley, Ruby, even my dad thinks that once this is over, we're going to be together, be happy, and in love. I…Regina, I never let myself hope for things; I never wish for things. I did that one too many times as a child and one too many times that hope was shattered. But I find myself doing just that, Regina. After reading your letter and…okay don't get mad, but also some of your journal, I can't stop myself from hoping.

Part of why I was with Hook was because I didn't have to worry about rejection. I didn't have to be scared that he'd toss me away. It scares the shit out of me to put myself out to you but, I love you, Regina, and this experience has only solidified that. I know I made mistakes, I know I let you get hurt, and I'm so, so sorry for that, but I loved every minute of this. I can only hope that you still feel the same way when this is done. Hopefully, we'll be together when you read this, but if we're not…give me time because that means you changed your mind and you're allowed to do that, but I'll need time.

Yours,

Emma

Regina wiped her eyes and folded the letter back up. She messed up big time. She gave Emma hope and then viciously took it from her and stomped on her and rejected her. Emma deserved better. She then took a few deep breaths and got to work cleaning her house.

"Is she still in bed?" Zelena asked, finishing the fixing of Emma's house. "It's been three days."

"I don't know what to do, Zelena." Snow said, dejectedly. "I've tried everything. I've tried holding her, loving her, being mad at her, talking sternly to her, I cannot get her out of bed. The thing is…I get it. I get why she's feeling like this, but laying in bed all day every day isn't going to help. H…have you talked to Regina?"

"My sister is a fucking idiot." Zelena said. "Yes, I've talked to her and she's bullheaded. She said she still loves Emma, but after what she did, Emma deserves better. I told her that even if that was true, Emma does deserve for her to fricken talk to her. I told her it wasn't fair for her to not tell Emma why she's being such a bitch. Believe me, she didn't care for that. It's just not fair for Emma. She lost little Gina and Regina and was pretty much slapped in the face at the same time. I want to ring Regina's neck."

"I do too, to be honest." Snow said and sighed. "Thank you for coming and fixing up everything. I think the messages on the wall just made things even worse for her."

"It's no problem. Come on, let's go to lunch and then we'll bring something back for Emma."

Snow nodded, glancing up the stairs before heading out with Zelena.

Regina watched the two go and took a deep breath before going to the door and knocking. She rang the bell and when there was still no answer, she knocked again.

Emma groaned as the knocking continued. "Mom! Can you please get that? Mom?" She groaned again and got up. "Damn it. I'm coming!" She called, slipping on a sweatshirt that was long enough to also cover her boy shorts. She knew her hair was dirty, and she looked like shit, but she didn't care. "Jeez, when people don't answer, there's usually a reason." She said, opening the door. "Regina?"

Regina couldn't stop her gasp. Emma was puffy eyed and looked like she just rolled out of bed. "Emma I…"

"What? You what, Regina? Did you read my letter? I told you if this happened to give me time. I can't fucking do this right now."

Before Emma closed the door, Regina caught it. "Push back, Emma. You promised you'd push back."

Emma turned to face her, tears in her eyes. "For what? Regina, do you know how much it hurts to be rejected? How the hell was I supposed to be able to push back and get rejected again? You broke me, Regina and I'm trying so hard to not be mad at you because there's no law saying you can't change how you feel, but I'm hurting."

"I haven't changed how I feel. I'm here because you deserve to know the truth. After what I did to you, you deserve better. I don't want you sitting here thinking this is your fault when it's all mine. I was ashamed, embarrassed, and I lashed out on you. It's what I seem to do best and when I realized that, I realized you deserve so much better than me."

"What if I don't want better?" Emma asked, her tears still falling. "What if you are exactly what I want, what I've always wanted? You can lash out at me, you can yell at me, you can insult me, but don't, do not fucking push me away. I get you were probably embarrassed, but instead of dealing with it and maybe even laughing about it, and then talking about us, you kick me out and push me away."

"I'm sorry!" Regina said, a bit of a sob in her yelling. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what is wrong with me, Emma, because I never ever wanted to hurt you. I thought I was fixing things, and you're right, I shouldn't have pushed you, I should have talked to you. I was wrong, so, so fucking wrong, and I'm sorry."

Emma pulled Regina inside and closed the door. "Do you still love me?"

"I've never stopped." Regina admitted, wiping her eyes. "Do you still love me?"

"Sometimes I wish I didn't, but yes, I do." She said, laughing just a little. "What the hell, Regina? Why are we so fucked up?"

Regina let out a breath. "I think it's because we actually care so much about each other. Emma…come home. I hate being without you. We can work this out, I promise we can. I won't ever hurt you like that again. I swear it."

Emma smiled softly. "One condition."

"Anything."

"Kiss me."

Regina smiled softly and leaned forward, making a face. "Emma…no offense, but when did you last brush your teeth?"

"Shit…hang on." She ran up the stairs, making Regina chuckle. After the fastest shower of her life, where she also brushed her teeth to get two birds with one stone, she came back down with her wet hair in a messy bun and a clean outfit on. "Better?"

"Much." Regina said, pulling Emma to her and kissing her.

"Take me home." Emma said, her eyes closed and her lips barely leaving Regina's. The next thing she knew, they were not only at Regina's house, but in her room. "I love you, Regina."

Regina smiled and kissed Emma hard against the wall. "I love you so much. Let me show you." She slid her hands up Emma's shirt, pulling it over her head. Emma's bra was off next and Regina's nails ran down the blonde's back, causing the blonde to almost purr in the kiss. She pulled Emma from the wall and towards the bed, falling on top of the blonde as she did so. Magic was used to remove the rest of their clothes and as she kissed Emma's neck, she pressed a leg between Emma's legs. "You're so wet."

"Tell me about it." Emma moaned, her hands massaging Regina's ass. "I've dreamt of this for years."

"Yeah?" Regina asked, grinning as she pulled Emma's lip between her teeth. "Did you ever touch yourself while thinking of me?"

Emma blushed, but nodded. "All the time. But having you here for real is so much better."

Regina grinned and sucked hard on Emma's neck as her hand went between Emma's legs. She licked up to Emma's ear and pressed two fingers inside her. "I've dreamt about hearing you say my name as I fuck you." Regina purred.

"Mmm, keep talking like that and I'll be putty in your hands."

"You already are, Ms. Swan, you're making a mess all over my hand and I love it." She let her other hand cup and knead Emma's breast roughly. "You feel better than I imagined. I can't believe you're in my bed, my fingers fucking you."

"Fuck…" Emma moaned, her hips gyrating against Regina's fingers. "Please tell me this isn't a dream."

Regina pressed her thumb on Emma's clit. "This is real, Emma. I'm never letting you go again."

Emma gazed into Regina's eyes before they rolled back in ecstasy. "I'm so close."

Regina kissed Emma's neck again. "Forgive me. Please say you forgive me."

Emma gripped onto Regina. "I forgive you." She said before her orgasm hit her. "Fuck yes, I forgive you."

Regina smiled and watched her Swan come undone. She extracted her fingers and licked them clean while looking at Emma. "Emma? Maybe this isn't the right time but…I lied to you before."

Emma's heart fell. "What?"

"No, not now…when I said you didn't take good care of me. Emma, you were amazing. I had never in my life felt so loved and cared for than I did with you. Killian hurting me and me breaking my arm wasn't your fault at all."

Emma felt a tear fall down her cheek. "I tried my best, Regina."

"You did amazing, my love."

Emma smiled and kissed Regina. "I love you so much." She said, her hand moving along Regina's body. "Tell me this is real and you're not going to push me away."

Regina moved closer to Emma, pressing her body against hers. "I'll never push you away again."

Emma lay Regina on her back and kissed her, her hands kneading her breasts as her leg parted Regina's. "If you do, I'll push back." She said, pushing two fingers inside Regina. "Fuck, you feel amazing."

"Mmm, yes…Emma love me. Make love to me and never let me go."

Emma did just that and curled her fingers inside Regina as she kissed down and took a nipple inside her mouth. "I love you so much." She whispered, adding a third finger and pressing her thumb along Regina's clit. "I'm never letting you go. We have so much time to make up for."

Regina gripped at Emma's back, her body gyrating with Emma's. "I love you. I love you. I love you." She moaned over and over. "Yes, Emma yes…fuck yes, I love you." She called as she came hard.

Emma smiled and once Regina's orgasm subsided, the two lay cuddled together. "I love you so much."

Outside, Snow smirked over at Zelena. "I think we figured out where Emma is."

Swirls of red and pink magic were escaping Regina's bedroom window and Zelena let out a breath. "It's about damn time."
